Do not believe people who say "it so easy", because they never tell their grade. You DO have to go to class if you want to do well, he explains everthing, pay attention and you will do well. His class is fun, you dont get tired, and it is easy to remember things he said on class during the exams.

La Morte is the MAN!!! I've already taken him 3 times and he gets better everytime. You have to show up for class, because if you don't you'll miss out on a lot of information he covers in class. He's definitely not boring and makes you laugh 85% of the time. Take him, but make sure you go to class!

This prof was not easy like other reviews say. you must go to class and read the book in order to do well on the exams, he also makes you do a paper. the class was fun though def not boring.

He is a good professor and the class is very very interesting. Not bad on the eyes either. If you write well this class is an easy A. You need to participate but most of the time you will just be listening to guest speakers or watching very interesting movies or shows. Very enlightening and real life related. LaMorte is the man! Had him for winter 08 and he was so helpful, and clear. Read the corresponding material in the book with the notes he gives u and u'll do fine. He's extremly down to earth and funny, i'll take him whenever i can!

As a senior I can say this is one of the best prof.Explain everything to the details,vere organized,always in a good mood. You must go to class to do well,he makes the class fun liking contexts from real life, pay attention and you'll learn, I can picture him talking on my exams. He has a lot of knowledge in this field (psych of sexual orientation). He also throws in some clinical stuff - which benefits those of us going into the mental health field. You can tell he works hard at what he does and he is def here to stay at RU(we hope). COOL PROF!!

Great teacher,attendance mandatory, not a easy class(writing intensive). If you want a C one can say its not a hard class, but if you are like me and want an A you have to work hard for it!! dont be fooled that its a easy class because you will do bad, he does test stuff from the book.

Very good prof. Not an easy class but for a 400 level & writ. intensv not hard either. Tests are from powerpoints and what he focuses the most in class. 2 out of 4,5 questions and he is a fair grader too. Very interesting material well organized & presented, he makes it fun. Always upbeat, highly reccommended!

Good professor. Enjoyed the class a lot. He made even the boring lectures interesting. His TAs are also very helpful. Tests are sometimes hard and you DO have to study and read the text in order to pass! Make sure you show up, participate in recitation and do your R-Points and you're on your way to a solid grade.

its a very interesting and fun class. sometimes, he goes off topic and also if he catches you talking, he'll call you out in front of everyone. so pay attention and make sure you study for the tests because some of the stuff is not easy. overall, he's a great prof and the stuff he teaches is really interesting!

Very interesting class. He takes attendance seriously (only allowed two excused absences). His lectures are all powerpoints but he still manages to make them fun and interesting. Overall great professor, down to earth, knows what he is doing, TAKE HIS CLASS!!

There are three exams all roughly covering 5 chapters and a final exam (cumulative). The exams require some studying, but if you follow along in class, read the chapters, and attend recitation you should do well. With his awesome sense of humor and method of teaching, classes were never dull. And he's a total hottie! Take it, well worth it.

I was his TA in 2008, he is a person full of talent, I always tell my husband I wished I had some of the talent!! He is a great person, and a great professor.

LaMorte is just great he alwayd made me laugh and was super nice. He's young and def not boring, he knows how to relate to his students. His tests aren't hard just follow his slides read the chapter summaries at the end of each module and you's do fine. His final is 40% of questions from other tests just "copies and pate" as he said :) TAKE HIM!!!!

He's a nice guy, but you do need to follow the readings. If you don't, you will be in trouble. The class isn't impossible though.

Funny, smart and kinda easy but dont tell him that. Trust me especially if u like psych u'll wanna come to class because he keeps it interesting. Uses powepoints but I used the book to study. Study!!! Even though he's laid back his tests are not as easy as u think

Easy A if you study. 3 exams, multiple choice 50 questions each. If you study the modules in the textbook the night before you should get an A

I took Principles of Psychology. Very good teacher, super funny, super cool, and attractive. If you go to lecture, recitation, and read the modules, you will definitely ace this class, no doubt about it.

Great Professor, explains everything in details and uses his awesome sense of humor to engage the students into his lectures. Exams may be a little tricky but if you study the PPT notes and the textbook you will do fine.. and don't forget to complete your R-points.

Okay, he is a great professor and really inspired me to have a psych minor! He's hilarious and really connects with his students. However, good luck if you're late because he won't let you in (even if you have a chem lab prior)! Another drawback, a 92 and greater is considered an A. Also, reading the book helps!

If you skip his class, there is something seriously wrong with you! He is an absolutely AMAZING professor. If you pay close attention in class and the PPT, you'll be fine for the exams. This is the fourth class I have taken with Dr. LaMorte. He is awesome. His lectures are posted on blackboard and exams are very straightforward, no trick questions. He always very helpful during office hours as well. Attendance is not mandatory but it definitely helps to go to class.

I took him for Fieldwork & Abnormal Psych. I just want to write how amazing he is! Definitely the best professor in Rutgers. He knows how to teach & really inspirational. He's the reason why I want to do Psych Nursing.. I'm done with my double major in Psych but I want to take his classes again and learn from him! Definitely the best!

he's a great professor. he didn't take attendance, however, the tests are pretty much straight from his lectures. he does upload the powerpoints but he doesn't include the videos he shows in class. if you miss class, just read the textbook and you'll be good. tests, r-points & recitation are the only grades and your lowest test grade is dropped.

Taken multiple classes with him. One of my fav professors of all time. Lectures actually keep you interested. I never used textbooks for his courses. Just show up to class, pay attention, which he makes easy to do, and take good notes on the slides. No surprises on the 3 or 4 MC exams. Sometimes has choices that can be confusing so go with your gut

A funny guy. Class is easy-going, however must take notes because not everything he says is on the power point. In order to do good you must study for his class. But nothing too hard.

Good professors. 3 essays, and you'll also need to write reviews for others. Says he doesn't drop the lowest one, but he does. Gives extra credits. Final essay has most weight on your final grade. I would take him again.

Powerpoints have a lot of info so go to class and take good notes and you'll be fine. He also offers extra credit at the end of the semester.

Prof. Lamorte is a great professor with easy to understand lectures and powerpoints. Only grades on midterm and final, there is a textbook but he provides the free link and must do inquizitive for the chapters he assings. Does curve the grades. I would recommend him to anyone taking this course.

The easiest class you can take, there are about 12 inquizzitives that you have until the end of the semester to complete (if you get a bad grade you can retake). Then there's the midterm and final exam, that's it for the class, great professor, the lectures are very entertaining they're also not mandatory to attend. VERY EASY CLASS

Amazing professor! Although it is a 6-9 class, you get out earlier. He makes his lectures very interesting and very funny. If you fail this class, that's literally on you; his exams couldn't be any easier; they are based on the slides. All quizzes are due by the end of the semester. Literally take him if you can!!!
