Constantly makes mistakes on the board while teaching material. His grading is poor and he does not have much concern for the students. Avoid taking this professor, especially if you have never taken Calculus before!

He is the worst teacher ever. He doesn't care about students and makes Multivariable Calculus the hardest class ever, even though it is much easier than the other Calculus classes. Easy F.

It's not that the class wasn't very easy, it was more that he made it seem as though it was a major pain in his butt to be there. It made an uninteresting subject even more uninteresting.

i never considered dropping out of college until i took this guy's class. he knows his stuff he just doesn't know how to teach it(meanig he's a**** teacher). if you've even thought of considering this guy, you've already wasted your time.

most definitely the worst teacher i've had in my life. math is my best subject and even then i was forced to drop along with 75% of the class. the tests are incredibly hard and theres no extra credit or homework.. do NOT take this class.

He is the worst teacher I have ever had in my life! He is insensitive and can not speak or write English correctly even if his life depended on it. I used to be great at math before I had him as a teacher. Do not make the mistake I made of taking his class, it is a waste of time!

This teacher was the head of the Math department, wrote the final for MAC, and no one had a review as to what was gonna be on the final exam. Didn't even let us use graphing calculators, everyone in my class failed. Stay away from this guy, pick someone else!

If you are looking at this, you are obviously thinking about taking him. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! I can't tell you enough how impossible his class is. The homework is easy, as are his extra assignments; the exams---IMPOSSIBLE. Take it with another professor for your own sake.

Impossible. Makes tests harder then they need to be. Forgets that this is an 1105 class and not Calculus III. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

not only are his tests horrible and NON-passable, but he's boring and unfair! I took him for Calc I along with 49 other students, by finals 15 were in the class and out of those only like 2 passed...with a C!!! I've always liked math but he's made me HATE it, I think I've been scarred for life..yikes!

i always loved math and always grasp all concepts but this guy just makes the tests unpassable!!! unless you KNOW calc I, dont take him, much less online. you will not pass the class and he gives no curves or extra credit. the test are never the same as his reviews.

Second time I take calculus, but this is after have later math courses already completed, so this was supposed to be an easy class. Not only was his attitude extremely poor and disrespectful, but his grading policy is completely ridiculous (no partial credit). Waste of time and money. Actual tests are nothing like HW or practice tests.

Just horrible! As all the comments said, he is the worse professor of the entire school. We were over 40 in his class after drop day only 5 of us were left and only 1 passed with a C. He doesn't curve at all. His tests are impossible to pass. Don't take him, he'll ruined your life and your GPA!

He misled me on several occasions as to what to study, as well as with his brief/useless explanation of the math problems. He wanted nothing to do with regular studying/homework, and asked in-depth, detailed questions on the exams. I NEVER had a problem with math, and put more effort into this class than any before. I got 3 "F"s & a 97! Go figure!

This was such a horrible experience for me.. especially since it was my first college class ever... Anyways, I highly recommend that you NOT TAKE HIM. He really doesn't care for his students, although he likes to pretend to, and you won't learn a thing in his class. I had to drop, it was impossible. I got a B with MONSERAT.

He is not a fair nor ethical professor. He has no compasion for students nor care about the students. I have never had a professor so cold like him, he is just there to teach. He lost the human part of teaching.

The material he teaches in class are very simple and not hard at all to understand. However when the test comes around it was nearly impossible. I based my studies on what he tough on class and notes and it didnt help me at all. I usually love and pass math but I guess with him you have to expect the unexpected. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I've been taking online classes for a while now and I've never come across a professor like him! Everyone in my class agrees that he is a HORRIBLE teacher. He NEVER and I mean NEVER responds to any questions on the discussions board and when you email him he totally ignores half of your question(s) if not all, he is short and very cold!

I took his online College Algebra course, and has to be one of the most useless professors teaching in that department. He is not active at all in his discussion boards, and his emails are conceited and degrading. If you take this class if you are already familiar with the material and are self-motivated to teach yourself. USELESS PROFESSOR

Prof. Aladro is the worst Math teacher in history! He should not be allowed to teach. He is unfair, his reviews are useless and he gets very irritated when you ask questions. Also...do not expect him to work a problem without messing it up at least 25 times! He SUCKS! take Nadal or Villamor! They are awesome, helpul, fair and care for students!

Horrible professor. Impossible tests and give irrelevant lectures. I had to drop this class, regardless of all the tutoring and studying I did, I still received Fs on all my tests. His class is a waste of time and money. Do not take his class!

Terrible teacher. Even though I aced all of the quizzes and homework assignments, I still failed all the exams. He makes up his own problems for the exams, which are far more complicated than the homework. He refused to help me solve practice problems. My tutors couldn't even solve them, so eventually I had to go to a different professor for help.

Very Disappointing to know that such a promising school has such a lackluster professor. There is a total disconnect between student and teacher, and materials given for homework and quizzes are not relevant to exams. Save your money and time. Unequivocally unfounded in his approach to teaching, highly disingenuous towards welfare of student.

Does not try and help you if you have trouble! Don't take him if you need any help whatsoever. He gives you questions that aren't on the review so you the review is pointless. Find another teacher if math isn't your thing.

Worst Professor ever!!!! avoid him. He does not know how to teach and never tries to help the students. I am Civil engineer major, and my GPA dropped from 4.0 to a 3.7 after I took this class! I study a lot and I am good at math, but AVOID this professor, that is the BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE!

Professor does not explain material clearly. The majority of the class dropped. He does not curve and removes a lot of points from your exam. I'm pretty good at math but this has been by far my worse math experience. Calculus is not difficult if you study, but even if you study for this class he will make it very difficult.

TAKE THIS CLASS WITH ANOTHER TEACHER. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

There is absolutely no reason ANYONE should EVER take this course with Aladro. His homework, quizzes, and practice exams are nothing like the true exams. There is a complete disconnect in this course between material taught and material tested. This has been the most unfair course I have ever taken. Never available during office hours either.

Terrible professor. Im great at math, have tutored other students up to calculus. He's always making mistakes and if there is a grading error he will not change it. He is not willing to work with students and is just rude. Doesn't answer emails and isn't ever available during office hours.

I read the reviews before taking the course, bcuz it was the only open one and I ignored them. Huge mistake. All these reviews are spot on, if all the other calculus classes are taken, I recommend you just wait one semester, and not take him and fail. The review he provides are absolutely different from the test. He doesn't care about his students.

Stay away from this professor! Like others, I had to take this class because it was the only one open, 3/4 of the class drop by Test #3. Makes his test impossible with no review or formula sheet allowed. I took on line, what a mistake. He has no interest in really teaching or being fair to the students. This professor is AWFUL. There is NO REASON EVER EVER EVER to take this professor. Tests are nothing like the homework or practice exams!!! I went to his office three times during office hours and he wasn't there either time! I FAILED and I consider myself good at math. Homework and quizzes are not related to class at all. Got 100 on all quizes and tests and 38% on test. Test is 10 questions. His test review did not help at all. There is 0 reason to take this professor as you will learn more doing a CLEP test. Stay far away.

The tests are absolutely nothing like the homework or reviews. I didn't listen to the comments on here and instantly regretted it. You'll think you do great in the beginning on your quizzes and homework online but in reality his tests are NOTHING, no exaggeration, like the reviews or homework assignments. Do NOT take.

I had to drop this class, quizzes and hw are woth nothing, even though I took this class online test was on campus, show work. Class is extremely hard, teacher uses youtube videos from a professor of Univ. Of Kansas to teach class. I will retake this class with another professor.

Students other than math majors, beware. If you remember all the stuff you learned in College Algebra, you might do well. The homework (and there is quite a bit)and exam reviews do not prepare you for the exams.

Possibly the worst online program I have ever seen. Your weekly task is to teach yourself the chapter(s) in the textbook. Don't bother sending him emails for help. His responses are typically just the answer without any attempt to clarify or explain the process to which he arrived at it. Literally does not respond if you ask for clarity.

Absolute worst calculus professor at FIU. The homework and quizzes are pretty much worth nothing at the end only 100/550 at the end. His tests are at a whole other level than the quizzes/homework which you'll never be prepared for. I failed I'm in fall and ended up taking Cao in spring and passed with an A.

if you think you're bad at math, don't worry. so is he. you'll spend half the class correcting him and the other half wishing you picked a different course. his tests are hard and requires information you'll literally never need, trust me I'm a math major. over all, avoid at all costs. or get a hella good tutor.

This class is the hardest class I've ever taken in my life. Gerardo is the type of professor who knows his stuff, but doesn't know how to teach. I spent the entire semester crying over this class and I ended up with a C+. If you have no choice but to take his class, please, PLEASE do all of the homework. It's the only way to pass.
