Professor Jones is sweet and clearly cares about her students, but I was bored every single lecture. Her tone was pretty monotonous and her slides were rather dull/repetitive. There was a higher amount of work in this class than I was expecting and although I definitely liked her as a person, I wouldn't take this class again.

Dr. J is just terrible... Her textbook is written unclearly (she wrote it herself) and her lectures are beyond boring. Her HW, tests, and labs are graded tough, but that's only because she is so awful at her job. The Qs on the tests are written so poorly you don't even know what she's asking abt. I could go on and on but 350 characters is the limit

the prof is a really good person and cares about her students. but the class is really difficult and didn't know what was going on most of the time. In-person, tests are really difficult but you could cover it up with other assignments. Take her if you are into astro but if you are doing it for credit and have no idea about astro, don't take it

This professors class was the root cause of my high blood pressure. If you are not into astronomy or physics DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She is a very harsh grader and it is very easy to not know what is going on in the class. All her announcements are convoluted and her emails are rude and condescending. Sometimes funny but overall dont recommend.

I wish I had a better experience with this professor, I really gave her and the class a chance. But she is an unfair grader, and her tests/textbook is poorly written. There is lots of busy work including reading, labs, and homework, along with 2 midterms, a final, and a large research paper. Way too much for an elective. She is not flexible. 3/10

she gave boring lectures. you have to pay for the unhelpful and disorganized textbook written by herself. Her grading is really arbitrary and subjective. If you have a question, she gets mad and does not give an answer, especially when you argue for grade revising. DONT TAKE THIS COURSE

The topics discussed in class are very interesting if you are into astronomy. HOWEVER, she is very unorganized. Her lecture is tedious and sometimes doesn't make sense. Her exams and assignments are full of ambiguous questions, messy formats, and grammar mistakes. When you ask her to clarify she just gets mad. Her grading is also unfair.

Her lectures tend to be boring, and her assignments/tests can be very convoluted. It was really frustrating to have to spend $30 for her online textbook as well even though she had free access to it because she wrote it, but that is college I guess. If you absolutely have to take this class, go to her office hours. But she is a sweet person!

Unorganized lectures, messy materials and unfair grading. She's like the one confusing professor that you meet at least once each year. Don't take her class unless necessary. Exam notes are super messy and unorganized, there's no clear objectives/topic for each lecture, and she jumps from chapter to chapter.

This class is fine if you take it online, because everything is take home and you can put stuff from the textbook almost word for word in your assignments. She can get really confusing and sometimes gets annoyed if you ask many questions. Material isn't hard, especially if you took any physics in high school. Speak up in class and she'll curve.

Prof Jones is a sweet woman, however, she is incredibly unorganized and inconsistent with grading. She picks her favorites early on, and grades in favor of them. That being said, her class is relatively easy and she truly does care about her students. Would I take her ever again? Absolutely not! Is her class doable? Absolutely.

Professor Jones is very passionate about science and the subjects she teaches. She incorporates her own experiences and life into her lectures, and she encourages open dialogue about the subject matter. Participation is what drives the class, so it is important for all students to involve themselves in the instruction.

Makes you buy a 70$ textbook that was clearly self-written because it is riddled with grammatical errors that even an elementary student wouldn't make and the textbook is unnecessary to understand the course, so its basically a hustle. It is difficult to respect her as a professor, if I were to make an analogy, she is like a pianist with no hands.

Gerceida is a complicated, frustrating woman. She singlehandedly crushed my soul and my well-being. If you're confused on something, good luck asking her about it. Not only will she not understand the question (at all) but she'll reply with something that will make you 10x more confused than you were before. Make sure you have a therapist on hand.

Professor Jones has a passion for the subject, but her disorganized lectures and unclear assessments make the class a struggle. The textbook she wrote is overpriced, and exams tend to be ambiguous. However, visiting office hours can help. For study prep, tools like Unstuck study and ChatGPT were lifesavers.
