She's a little weird..a little airheady but a good dresser!! she loves cough drops for some reason. if you study you will do well..participate in class and suck up so you're on her good side. also, her lectures are boring.psyc 101 helpful in this class
She is really nice. just attend class and participate and she will help you out. test aren't too hard just read the chapter once and you will get an A.

DONT TAKE HER, is not helpful at all. You take a million pages of notes and then majority of the information of the tests is not even covered. I wish i didnt take her class.
Tests are somewhat hard. Funny teacher. Attendence everyday. Can get a B on exams without reading the chapter.

The easiest teacher for Psyc 101. She is the only one who doesn't make you write an essay. Tests are pretty easy...50 questions straight from the book. Lectures are okay but she is ditzy and gets off track easily. Lets you go early and cancels class
She is really weird. Jumps all around durning in class notes. Gives a lot of handouts. Tests arent really on the stuff covered in class lectures. Not a hard class, she is just a big doofus and really clueless.
Tests are based on applied knowledge, so notes are on point! She loves to say "Im thinking..." and she has ADD (she tells u that,haha) but overall she is a good 101 teacher. Lots of dittos but they help.
She is a heartless teacher who could care less who you are or what questins you have. The work is not difficult but her notes and the book never match. (her notes are always wrong) Warning: Do not take her, she doesn't like her job.
Notes are straight from the book. She's a little quirky, but it keeps the class interesting. 4 papers and 1 test (midterm)- test was very easy. She cancelled our final!
like all the others say, disorganized, unclear, etc. heard more than one person say it's hard to believe that she's a clinician--one wonders at how helpful she would be. but the course is easy, you don't need the book, and she cancels class sometimes.
Horrible teacher! She is so disorganized and dumb. She can't ever answer questions, because she doesn't know anything, so she will either make you feel stupid for asking or just change the subject. Her grading is random and unfair.

first of all, she is disorganized and she lost me and this other guy's midterms.. doesnt know a lot about psyc and all she does is tell us about her crazy clients that she's had.. lots of dittos that were no help.. shes very arrogant and opinionated
This teacher is awful, she's never organized, her notes don't match the book, her tests are over things she's NEVER once mentioned in class...she definitly has her favorites! I really think she hates people, I don't know how she got her teaching degree b/c quite honeslty I haven't learned a thing.

It is an easy A. Her notes are right from the book all you have to do is read the chapters to get an A. There are only 4 exams with 50 MULTIPLE CHOICE questions. The tests are common sense. No final exam. My favorite class this semester.
i really enjoy pscyhology but learned how confusing it can be if you have a frazzle minded teacher. she is interested in the subject and a nice woman, and has experience in the field from previsouly being a psychologist, but she is SOOO ADD at times, and often mixes things up
Extremely unprofessional, immature, no empathy, doesn't have an e-mail address, skipped a week of classes, constantly bragged about you 'gifted' grandchildren. She didn't have the text book and didn't know what chapter we're on. Shew sent here daughter in to give an exam.
ms willen is pretty wack. she could be a great teacher but i dont think she's too passionate about the material, she's not the brightest crayon in the box.. i got a B+ in intro to psych but im struggling just to get a C+ in her class b/c her 60 question Mult choice tests tend to be vague&misleading

Dumb class. Four tests multiple choice. You HAVE to read the book or you wont understand. She gets easily confused and sidetracked. Doesn't know how to pronounce anything right. VERY BAD teacher, but not bad looking for her fifties (and she dresses a little hoochie sometimes too)
I HATE prof. Willen! I have to appeal my grade because I know I got an A, but she gave me a B+. She established in the syllabus she doesn't even use the +/- system. It's supposed to be clear cut black and white, but she has so many biases toward students.
Oh, where to begin...well for starters, if you enjoy psychology, don't take this class because any enjoyment it gave you wil soon be gone. Willen cannot answer ANY questions that she is asked, especially if the book doesn't talk about it. She answers her cell phone in class and dresses horribly!
The class isn't bad. The work is easy, but she's an airhead. People would ask her a question and she'd never know how to answer it. so you're always left wondering what she's talking about. The tests aren't bad either, just read the book because her notes are sometimes a little off.
She is the stupidest teacher, not to mention individual that I have EVER come across. How she got this job teaching, I do not know. She cannot answer any questions simply because she does NOT know. She brings in pics of her grandchildren to try to teach about developelopment. So DUMB!
She does not know much about the material, and is an airhead. But, the tests are easy and basically common sense (i aced them all). Just skimming the chapters gives you enough info to do ok on tests. She is pretty for her age, but she can be a snob. Overall fairly easy class, worth taking

This was the easiest class I have ever had. Just memorize her notes and you will get an A. However she is the most unfair teacher who would rather see her students fail then succeed. Made one mistake and missed a test and my grade dropped from a solid A to C even though it effected me getting into nursing school. She doesnt care about her studen
Okay...so she's an airhead..but her class is sooo easy. No extra work. Only studying for the exams (which are also easy) I suggest that if you just need the class as a gen-ed..take her. Easy A. I'm taking her again next semester because I know I'll do well. But, if you're majoring in psyc...take someone else!
Don't expect to learn things that aren't in the book, she teaches only what's in print. She gets side-tracked too easily, and is unfocused. Very repetive, and does not dress professionally, the way a 50-something psychologist (who talks about her patients) should.
I am taking the class and have a high A, she is kind of an airhead but she is SUPER easy and cancels all the time!! Her notes are straight forward and all you have to do is re-read the chapter to get an A. Only 4 tests... I Would deff recommend her!!!

Shes funny and really nice. Gets sidetracked REALLY easily. You definitely have to take notes and study the book to do well on her exams. Four tests are her only grades for the class. Shes a good teacher and lets you out early alot.
Shes a funny and smart lady whos know what shes talking about. If you take good notes and truly understand the material then tests arent too bad. Just study and listen and youll pass without a doubt.
Tough to follow at times. 4 tests and studying for them is (/boggle). Not sure what from book, what from one of the random rants in lecture. Took a lot of notes; focus on them in study and you'll get a C+. Focus on book , you'll get a C+. Memorize it all, and you score an A. :/

Very easy class. If you come to class and pay attention you will do fine. 4 60 question MC test are very easy. Take note come to class and turn in the final project and you will do fine in the course.
she talks a lot, and always takes attendance, her journal project is the most important part of her grade, the tests are quite hard and she asks some things that were not what she talked about in class.

You HAVE to do the reading because a good amount of the test material is found only in the reading and not in her lectures. She can come off as a really strange person, but overall I liked her.
Rambled on about strange things. Very rude, nasty attitude when you questioned her grading. SNUD!! CLass was a joke, would recommend another teacher. Her project is pointless because it doesnt meet "her requirements" when its hard to find the info and she doesnt expain it well enough!

Simultaneously the easiest and most frustrating class I have ever taken. Lectures are useless; exams are easy, taken almost entirely from the textbook, but questions often poorly written. Gets defensive and rude when asked for clarification. Teaches human development; refers to human sexual anatomy as "little boy parts" and "little girl parts."
Term project, the journal, essentially busywork. Believes that all students cheat; imposes a lot of restrictions on material used out of fear that her students will cheat. Appears proud of her paranoia. Gives false or out-of-date information in lecture. Absolutely not recommended.
she has a really good teaching style and is entertaining but her exams are crazy. you must read the textbook to do well on them because her lectures don't do justice for whats actually on them - also exams are your only grade, there were no projects or essays which sucked because you had no way to improve your grade, and she doesn't care
I am not sure why so many people hate on her, I loved her and her class! She was very interesting and has a lot of experience in what she's talking about. READ THE TEXTBOOK, seriously. I learned the hard way. Read a little bit every night, it'll help. I'm taking her again next semester I liked her so much.
Only 4 test. Hard. No other work to help your grade. She doesn't care to help any. I read the textbook and took good notes, and still only got a B, barely.
There are 4 exams with tricky multiple choice questions.No other assignments to help your grade(except for research hours but that's only 3%).I barely passed.Use the textbook to study,notes sort of help.
Traditional professor. Very organized, good notes. Tests are not hard as long as you take the notes & do the reviews of the chapters in the book. Not many opportunities to raise grade so make sure you study for the tests. I will definitely take one of her classes again.
Definitely the most frustrating class I took as a freshman. Her teaching style was terrible. She would lecture while we took useless notes. Her packets are pointless. You MUST read the book to do well on the tests, but even so the tests are terribly worded. It feels so easy, yet you never do as well as you think you did. Hated this class.

This is the worst teacher I've had. Her knowledge is about the same as a high schoolers, and she thinks she knows what she's talking about; no in depth knowledge at all. She will poorly summarize the book all class, very bad and boring you would learn more in 10 min of reading. Useless notes in class, gives you absolutely useless handout pckgs.
This teacher is terrible. she admitted to our class that she never took teaching classes and never got her teaching degree...which makes it clear as to why she is awful. DO NOT TAKE HER. she could care less if you pass or fail and she couldn't answer students questions if her life depended on it.

Do not take this class. She takes attendance every class. She is not particularly personable, and has made the class feel uncomfortable from time to time. The tests are made from the book, so you don't need to go to class...but attendance is mandatory. This should not be your first choice, only a last resort.

I took Psych in High School & if I did not take then I probably wouldn't be doing so well in the class now. There is no homework, only tests. Her tests are worded differently than her lectures so it makes the tests a little bit difficult. She only lecture and puts an outline of notes on the board. You really have to study to pass. Shes nice though!

When she lectures, you have no idea what you have learned because she is so scatter brained. She admitted that she has never been educated in the educational field and it is apparent. The test material is not covered during the lecture.
An amazing Psychology professor and explains everything wonderfully! Gives clear examples and offers any explanations if needed. She takes from the textbook so reading is mandatory. Just continue reading and pay attention in lectures and you will do fine. Tests are not cumulative
Yeah her lectures were all spoke as most are but they were interesting and they kept me intrigued. She is a little all over but she gets her point across. Her tests are 50 questions and they're rather easy if you ask me. There are only 4 and the final isn't cumulative so that's a plus. Overall, I enjoyed it to the extent Not to give her w bad grade
In all honesty, I believe her lectures to be pointless. If it weren't for the fact that she takes attendance, I wouldn't bother to show up at all. She has flat-out admitted that she doesn't have her teaching degree, and the material she "covers" in class is almost never on the exam. If you don't read the textbook, YOU WILL NOT PASS THIS CLASS.
Loved this class! She explains things very well and gives great real life examples! I only looked at the book to see extra vocab that she didn't go over. There are 3 multiple choice tests that are 50 questions and are not that hard if you study!
She knows what she is talking about, she knows the content of the course. She is very fast when she talks. She likes to trick you on her tests, they are only 50 points each. You need to go to class to pass the course and expect when you do go class to take a ton of notes. She is easily distracted and not really that helpful. Try not to take her!
She did go over the criteria, but whenever she was asked a question she would just be like "hold on I'll answer that in a second when I go over the next topic" yeah ok. She really didn't know what she was doing, does not know how to teach and doesn't really help you. The tests were all straight from the textbook. Final is not cummalitive
This is the worst professor I has last semester. Psychology 101 is generally an easy class. This class consisted of the professor rambling and you never knew what would be on the test. The class consisted of notes of what she was saying for an hour because all the info usually showed up in some form. I studied so hard an only got a B. DONT TAKE HER
This professor is clear with her lectures and answers questions that are given. However, there aren't really any extra credit opportunities or any other grades outside of test grades. You either do well on the exams or you don't pass.
Wasn't a bad prof. Exams are not very clear (seems like theres more than 1 correct answer for the mcqs). However, she retires this semester so wont be holding any more classes.
Knows what she's talking about, skip class and you're definitely not going to pass, attendance is part of your grade, some extra credit on tests, no hw, 4 tests that's it.
