LOVED this course. Laughed A LOT. Even think a pee came out at times. Learned lots about business law. HIGHLY recommend this course, even if you're not a business student. Don't come on a full bladder.

Awesome teacher, if their were more law teachers like him I'd take that evil surgery that remove all your sense of ethics and go to Law school! ;)

Very clear in the material that is important to study, very fair but you still need to know waht your talking about. Very entertaining! Made the class very interesting, great stories.

He was awesome. Very funny class and was very willing to help out everyone in the class. Made for a very enjoyable class.

Fairly easy class. Don't even bother buying the book. Everything that you might need is covered in his notes.

He teaches the criteria then gives a real life example so it's easier to understand the context of the subject. He also has a great sense of humour while teaching so it's fun. The only class I actually looked forward to going to. Highly recommend his class. Very enjoyable! :)

Excellent instructor. I thought this class was going to be boring and was not looking forward to it. But he totally changed my mind and I enjoyed it a lot!! He gives clear notes, very good examples, and best of all he has a great sense of humour. You will have a good laugh every class.

Gerry is a pretty funny guy. uses great examples to explain some fairly boring subject matter (although some of his examples turn into giant overblown stories that make no sense). Make sure to study for his exams, or you will get burned.

He is funny, nice and makes class interesting. On the down side he is unorganized in teaching and doesn't teach according to the text book which makes studying hard. Tests and quizzes are an unpleasant surprise.

He is an awesome teacher and makes the class very interesting. If you pay attention to the class and his examples you will probably do good in the exams. One of the best teachers H have had.

Midterm easy and final he tells you what to study and you don't even use the book other then the cases he assigns in the end.

He is hilarious. It is a tough course that should be incredibly boring, but he some how makes it interesting. He actually makes coming to class entertaining.

Gerry is the best professor I’ve had in years, very funny and easy to get along with. His assignments are reasonably easy if you follow along, but the tests can be quite tough and require lots of memorization. Even though they’re not easy, he tells you exactly what will be on them and what to expect. I would recommend him to anyone interested.

Gerry is by far the best prof at UFV and the best prof I have ever had. It should be the boring class you could ever take but he makes it incredibly interesting. I was actually excited for his classes. I laughed harder in some of his classes then I've ever laughed before. It's tough but with some hard work you can get a good mark. I got an A+...

Gerry is a great teacher - incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. Attendance is mandatory if you want a good grade because he teaches some things that aren't in the textbook; however, he only tests students on things he writes on the board during class.

Gerry is by far the most hilarious professor I have had at UFV. He is extremely knowledgeable and tells interestinghypothetical stories to support his teachings. Class participation is a must. TESTSQUIZES are based on the material he writes on the board - so write everything down and readstudy that material.

Gerry is the most hilarious prof you will ever have, almost guaranteed. His quizzes and tests can be difficult. You need the textbook a little bit, for the cases in particular. While attendance is not obligatory, I'd strongly suggest going to every single class and staying the entire time. Gerry sometimes teaches differently than the textbook.

Gerry is the Funniest Instructor I have ever had!!! His comedic timing is on point. The is a lot of course material to cover, but make sure you note EVERYTHING he says. The classes are usually long, but they are not dry and he usually throws in a lot of stories and real life experiences. Definitely take him! but study because it is a hard course!!

Hands down the best professor I have had so far at UFV. Take this course with Gerry. I can't say enough good about him. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go to class you won't pass. His lectures are amazing though, so it's unlikely you'll find yourself wanting to skip.

I could not have made it through an evening class if it wasn't Gerry instructing. He is hilarious and makes even dull topics entertaining.

Best prof. Takes a potentially boring class and makes it awesome. Tests are based only on in-class material. If you study hard you can really nail them. Not much homework, readings are mostly optional. Seriously, take this guy if you can.

One of the best Business Professors at UFV hands down. I took this as an evening class (I typically fall asleep during these ones) and Gerry made the long lectures engaging. Read the book, study moderately and you should be able to get an easy A. He has some of the most hilarious yet relevant stories.

Gerry is the most amazing professor. He is hilarious and his stories that he tells in class really help when it comes to studying/writing tests. He makes the class go by quickly and is approachable. Tests are hard, so study for them, and read the chapters he tells you to. Sad to be out of his class!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He is one of the only teachers I have had that makes all 3 hours interesting and bearable. His stories are hilarious and help when it comes to studying. All tests are written, but if you study, they shouldnt be hard. The midterm is the hardest thing you will do in the course. Overall, amazing teacher!

Gerry is a fantastic professor. His lectures are not only hilarious but completely relevant and relatable. If you don't show up to class and don't take notes, you will not pass. This is one of the best courses I have taken at UFV. Gerry has been teaching this course for 20 years plus and recite any part of his course verbatim.

Gerry has taught this course about 1 million times and you can tell. He very clearly outlines what you need to know, gets through it efficiently and with some humour. Take notes in class and don't skip, your grade relies on the tests which are based on what he writes on the board. Make up situations to remember laws.

One of my favourite profs I've had at UFV! The class is all lecture, but Gerry knows exactly what he's talking about and makes his lectures funny and engaging. As long as you attend every class and take diligent notes it's fairly easy. I recommend voice recording the lectures to go back and review before exams, as they are all written.

Gerry's entertaining lectures are interesting and he uses humour to connect class content with real-life scenarios. You only have to study what he writes on the board, and if you do, you will be well prepared for the quiz and exams (so don't skip). I primarily studied with flashcards containing definitions and examples and I ended up doing well.

He's an excellent professor and is able to keep his lectures somewhat interesting and fun. He knows the stuff well (practicing lawyer) and is straightforward about everything. This helps when it comes to the quiz, midterm, and final.

Gerry is my favourite professor at the university, hands down. Very enthusiastic and passionate about his work and keeps you entertained throughout every lecture. Really smart guy always making me laugh, loved his demeanour. The class itself requires heavy studying as law is no easy endeavour, but Gerry made it super fun. Thank you Gerry.

Good humour to keep his students engaged. Not much feedback, though. I wish there was on-line practice material for his class, but he is old-school and not computer-savvy. A tad disorganized, but he is clear about what is important to study.

Amazing Prof. Teachers the material to his students and actually cares about the material unlike so many other profs. Such a great teacher and awesome to learn from. Be ready to take notes every class, but they are all very useful. Answers questions perfectly. If you do not understand something he will explain it until you understand it. The best.

A real gem!

Gerry knows the material passionately and lectures by heart. He tells vivid and hilarious examples in succession to demonstrate difficult legal principles and makes understanding the content very easy. You'll have to read the material and you'll have to come to every class if you want an A, but he tells you what reading is priority and class is fun

Gerry is amazing. Has Hilarious lectures and gives absolutely great examples. Exames and quizes aren't multiple choice though making them quite difficult.

Gerry's lectures are hilarious and easy to understand. All tests are short answer and cases so you have to memorize definitions. If you take good notes, you don't need the textbook to succeed. Although, the mandatory assignment is based on questions from the textbook. He is a fair marker. Defs one of the best profs at UFV.

Gerry is amazing professor. Although attendance is not mandatory but to get good grade you really have to attend the class as some of things he teaches are not in book also. Be prepared for heavy lectures as it is law. The midterm will be hardest of all the papers and he will provide improvement assignment to improve your scores on midterm.

10/10 would recommend. He is old school (everything done by paper and slightly disorganized) but well worth taking. He lectures using examples and stories that draw you in and get you thinking. He somehow made a 8:30am Saturday lecture something you wanted to attend. Tests are moderate, but he is very clear on what to study. Would take again.

Gerry was an amazing prof! His lectures are amazing and he uses funny examples. He's great with keeping the class engaged and the material sticks because of the examples he uses. Course load is pretty light and the material and assignments are interesting. I would 100% recommend taking a class with Gerry, definitely one of my favorite classes!

One of the better lecturers at UFV. He only loses points because he provides literally zero feedback and takes longer to mark than any other prof I've ever seen. Few assignments which aren't too hard, but exams are challenging due to lack of time. Some concepts will only be covered in lectures and not in the book, so attend and read.

Gerry is a great professor that makes his lectures engaging and entertaining. Tests are only based on topics covered in class so attendance is important. The only downside is that he is so slow to grade assignments and when you do get them back there is no feedback, it is just a grade. But if you pay attention it is easy to get a good grade.

Hands down the best prof I had at UFV, lectures are very engaging/funny. He is however an extremely busy guy and terrible at getting grades back to students, I only had about 2 thirds of my assignments back going into the final with no feedback. Very hard to get response over email or text as well. Although the course couldnt be presented better.

Really good and funny prof, will make you chuckle with his humour. An otherwise dry subject. Attend all his classes and make good lecture notes as all questions in the exams are directly related to his lectures.

He is hilarious and gives great lectures. His lectures and notes are super easy to understand. He explains difficult concepts quite easily. The book, however, overcomplicates most of the concepts. Another downside is that his exams are question heavy and tough to finish on time.

Great Professor, lectures are full of funny examples. The textbook wasn't really needed, recommend taking notes of his lectures, tests are similar to that. The only downside is he is old school, he will print off your test, hand mark it and scan it back to you, so it does take time to receive marks back. Other than that, great professor.

You must listen to him carefully in class to clarify the concepts. the case studies asked in the exams are almost the same as the ones he makes up in the class to let us understand the concept.

Best prof I've ever had. Lectures are funny and his stories are so helpful in understanding the concepts. He doesn't use slides and gives great verbal examples. You 100% should attend class or cause reading the textbook will be confusing, boring and not helpful. Just take notes in class and be specific on exams and you'll do great.
