Professor Nguyen is a very helpful and clear with his lectures. If you are willing to study and go over the material he tells you to before an exam or quiz, you can easily get an A or B in his class.

I took him for winter session and out of all the math teachers I've had he has been the best. Attendance is mandatory especially in winter. He gave us a lot of opportunities to receive extra credit, he also gives you practice exams so you are prepared. He loves getting feedback and he wants the best for his students. I totally recommend him.

statistics isn't an easy subject to begin with but he makes it understandable. he enjoys answering question & doesn't want u to hesitate to ask them. he wants all his students to succeed. he gives a good amount of hw & makes them due on test day that why u can use it to study. his test are made from quizzes and hw. formula sheets are allow on test

Took him in the fall. He lets you work in groups for class work. SOMETIMES in tests (he gave my class 2 group tests). Take notes and ask questions he's not mean about answering if you don't understand. GO UP TO THE BOARD! It doesn't matter if your answer is wrong you get Extra credit points!!!! It could be the difference between a 'B' and 'A'!!!

Mr. G, Nguyen is an AWESOME Professor! Math and I had a love and hate relationship, Mr. Nguyen reconnected us. I love math and I can't wait for next semester to continue learning more math problems.

Nguyen gives extra credit for participation in class. His lectures are paced pretty quickly, so make sure to pay attention. There's classwork too, so you have a chance to work with your classmates. There are plenty of Youtube videos to help you learn the concepts. He posts his notes that he writes in class on Canvas.

Professor Nguyen is by far the best Math Professor i have taken at Elac. Before him, i would absolutely hate going to my math class. This professor is the best by explaining the material in ways you'll understand. He gives real life examples which are very interesting. Goes above and beyond to help you prepare for his quizzes and exams.

Professor Gia is amazing. My first day there I came in hating Math. By the time I took my final I was going to miss his class. He really transformed my view of math after many years of avoiding it. I learned so much, I cannot thank him enough. He is fair, caring and has a gift for teaching in a way that makes sense. He class is fun.!!

He really cares for his students. You will need the book but only for homework. He tries his best to get his students to get it. If you still dont get it, you can see him before or after class. His tests and quizzes are exactly what he teaches and are not too hard nor easy. He assigns reviews as hw before an exam and is very useful to study off of.

Best math professor I've ever taken! Attend every lecture, pay attention and ask questions! He really cares about making sure his students understand the material. Professor Nguyen is an amazing instructor. He always tries his best to make sure every student is caught up and always makes time outside of class to attend the students. He always posts the power points making it easy to look back and see what was taught. He gives quizzes for every chapter, some are group quizzes, some aren't. Great prof over all.

Professor G is a great professor for business calc. The course has tough formulas to learn and understand but the study guide overview he does before the exams significantly helped!! It's a tough class but professor G does his best in lectures and offers extra credit to those who participate and attempt the problems on the board. Overall take him!

I took this class in the summer and really had a great time. The professor is pretty clear with the lectures, if you studied your notes then you should be solid. I could've gotten an A if I didn't come so late for the Final and missed some questions. Overall I would recommend this professor as they are also very understanding.

Professor Gia is genuinely a great person inside and out. (BUSINESS CALC) He is always offering ways to help you do well and excel in his class. His practice exams are very helpful. Office hours would be helpful! Hes funny too ! Id say one of the best math professors youll have the opportunity to take at a community college.

Professor G is a great professor, I have taken him for Math: 115,125, and most recently 227(Stats). This was a difficult class but the professor was very good at breaking down the steps and explaining how we use these problems in our everyday lives. The class will consist of about 5 Group Quizzes, 4 Exams, 1 Final. Do the homework & classwork!

Professor Gia is definitely one of the best math professors at ELAC! If you struggle with math, please consider taking him! He does his very best to explain the material and goes over enough examples to help you familiarize with the problems. His study guides are similar to the test, and the tests are fair if you study! HW is not too bad. Take him!

Super cool guy, he gives out study guides that really help you score high on your exam, so DO STUDY GUIDE , he does some of the problems in class .. lectures are very informative and are posted online after class. Ask questions and youll be ok ..

I loved Professor Nguyen! He cares about his students and gives you everything you need to know in the class. I didn't get the best grade but that was my own fault (accountability). Ask all the questions or reach out during office hours. One of the best professors I've had yet.

Prof. Nguyen is an amazing Math professor! I started from the bottom when it came to math, I began w/ Arithmetic and jumped straight to Pre-Stats then to Stats! If you come with the mindset that you want an A, and if you put in the learning necessary, you will get the A. It won't be the easiest A, nor the hardest- it's middle of road in terms of difficulty. Professor G is really nice and he cares about his students. His study guides are exactly like the tests, so do them and study them!

Took proof Nguyen during summer 2020, great teacher. You can tell he cares for his students. Lots of homework so make sure you pay attention during lectures. You are required to meet on zoom everyday of class in order to watch lessons. Exams and quizzes every week and homework everyday. Be on time because he starts right away.

Best math teacher I've ever had. I took him for MATH227/137. I passed with a C which is unknown for my math courses, I usually have to repeat. He allows group quiz work, and encourages class group work which is always helpful. Exams are difficult, but he always reviews and will go over the exams as a class. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HIS OFFICE HOURS.

I am currently taking Professor Nguyen for fall 2020. All of his lectures are online and he does record them so if you don't go to class you can access the lectures regardless. I really suck at math so his class was perfect, he doesn't skip steps. There are 7 quizzes, 3 exams, and 1 final. His class is easy to pass.

Professor G should be the nation-wide example of how online classes should be. He lectures so well and he cares about his students. What you put into the class is the grade you will get. There aren't too many teachers like him in academia. Don't hesitate to take him.

Professor Nguyen is a caring and funny guy. His prestats course consisted of daily homework 7 weekly quizez, 3 exams, and a final. I retook Stats to boost my C. Let me tell you, Stats is not easy, but Professor GIA makes it easy to understand. He gives a lot of homework, but it'll help you on the tests. He goes over Exam Review which is very similar to the tests. And he uploads class notes for you to use. Wonderful Teacher! He gives extra credit for participation & on tests.

Favorite math professor. Makes learning stats so much easier and fun. Exams are based on quizzes and reviews. Lots of homework but he goes over it in class in detail so you can understand it better. Replaces your lowest test score with the final which is cumulative. Really caring and super approachable!

One of the best math professors anyone can ask for. From the beginning of the semester he lets known clear that he wants everyone to pass and that he'll do whatever he can to make he's lecture clear and material understandable. The homework he gives out is directly taken from lessons he teaches. Gives extra credit for those people that participate.

This was my first math class in 7 years! I just finish taking his Math 227S class this summer semester and lectures are truly the best. He takes it slow breaking down everything to a simple level and checks with everyone to see if they understand where the numbers came from and how to use the calculator. His exams are based off notes/lectures 10/10

I took Math227 this summer and Professor Nguyen was one of the best professors I've ever had! I was so nervous to take this class, but Professor Nguyen was very knowledgable and caring. He spent time with our class breaking down problems to make sure we understood the work. Def recommend!

Professor Nguyen is an awesome professor! if you have not taken math for a while take him you will not regret it I took him for the fall for math 137 and winter class 227 stats in person. I was nervous about taking math but he help you understand the material goes over the homework and he very caring toward his students.

If you want a professor who cares and is willing to help you understand the material I highly suggest you take him because although he may provide a lot of homework it really helps during quizzes and exams.

Professor Nguyen is very passionate about helping us students learn. As long as I did the assigned work, I was able to understand the quizzes and tests. Tries his best to help out students. Hw load was very reasonable. Allowed late work, just email it to him. Quizzes are grouped where you can talk and work with others. Someone in a group can receive 2 points extra credit on a quiz. Very flexible with assignments and tests as long as you communicated it. Tests are similar to the review assignment.

I had Professor Nguyen for Math 261 and 262 (Calculus 1 and 2) and he was very accommodating to all of his students. His lectures were great and he's lenient with late work. For quizzes, you get to work with a group and for exams, you can use cheat sheets. I'm not that great at math, but Professor Nguyen sets you up for success.

this was my third time taking statistics and prof N made very easy to understand, he also had a tutor available to help you out. I do recommend going to the SI sessions because it does help a lot. Also pay attention and do not miss class because you will be lost but overall I really did enjoy his class.

No doubt the best professor ever at ELAC! The teaching method is so fun and hilarious, and easy to understand. Unlike any other professor, Gia makes math not boring. I wish he teaches upper-level math but overall, he's my favorite teacher ever.

Professor Nguyen is very nice. The exams are the same as the practice exams. My only "issue" would be that the class is too easy and he does not teach the topics very in-depth. I kind of wish he spent more time going over series/sequences.

Im the type of person who did not like math and was second guessing taking this class, Im glad I did go forward with taking it.Professor Nguyen was very helpful and patient when I did not understand something. He is very strict with deadlines for homework and test etc.Only reason why you would not pass is not showing up for lectures or labs.
