He is a very laid back proffessor but i think he plays favorites. No work involved but study for the exams b/c there is only a midterm and a final so if you do bad on one, you are screwed.
He is very clear and thorough in explaining just what you need to know about economics. the class is always fun and interesting. if you need help, he is always available. you won't have trouble smiling or laughing AND learning in this class.
He is an excellent professor...very entertaining. His class is the only one I do not dread attending. He makes it fun to learn . Hey I aced the mid-term and that's saying something ;)
easy and laid back but *plays favorites*
He is a nice professor, however not good at explaining things....he does play favorites...but if you do the work, you will be fine...also, what he tests you on tends to be different than what he teaches....but in the end, i would say take him
Easy class but the tests aren't totally on what he teaches, plays favorites too.

THE WAXER WAS HERE!!!
Very Funny. I recommend him to EVERYONE!!! He makes Econ FUN!!!
yehhhhhh santangelo
Good Teacher, but has certain students he sweats
If you like sitting in a class and talking about what everyone did last week end for 45 min, take this course. If you want to learn Macroeconomics, don't take it!

great class, its fun and entertaining. my favorite class and teacher this semester. the test i thought was unfair, but he does curve it.
Class is entertaining and he makes economics easy to understand with examples you can actually relate to. Test is hard but he is pretty fair about it.
He is the freakin man. He is the coolest teacher I have ever had. He truly relates economics to everyday life. It's awesome to not have to deal with those equations and still understand the main ideas of macroeconomics. YOU LEARN AND HAVE FUN!!!!
we never had any homework or quizzes, i got an 81 on the midterm, and he gave me a B+, without even knowing who i was; he learned peoples' names when he handed back the midterms. great class, easy to understand and relate to, this guy makes you think
I recommend Santangelo to everyone who needs it. I had him for Macro and Micro and i learned so much from the class. His classes go by in a flash they are so much fun. Does and excellent job of relating the material so that you can grasp the concepts.
tries a little to hard to be funny, not the most sensitive person there is, but makes class interesting, doesnt give any hw, you dont even have to buy a book. take his class
No Comments
easy class, very laid back. no hw! tells you exactly what he wants you to know for midterm and final, nothing more, nothing less. just go to class, participate, class is a total no-brainer.
Very clear and has good time teaching. I have one problem with him and that's becuase he doesn't like BAND PEOPLE!
Nice guy, but he plays favorites. No homework/test/quizzes, and midterm and final come out of nowhere. Wastes a lot of class time with stories. I'd still recommend his class, but if you're serious about economics, take someone else and really learn.
def. a good class to take. no attendance policy, but you'll go anyway bc this prof is actually entertaining. no work outside class. perfect for athletes and slackers.
One word: Cheeee-eeeese!
Excellent teacher, this guy is the man. Easiest class and you'll learn what you need while having fun. You don't have to go to class but you will just to hear what new story he has to tell you. Def. take this class if you want an easy A.
what is with putting stuff on the test that you never ever went over in class? 2 tests only - do good or else.
i felt like i was wasting my time when i went to his class; it was really easy (no attendence policy and only a midterm & final) but i feel like his style was easier to understand than most teachers and i could have learned a lot more; at least an easy B
Not a very sensative professor - clearly acts as a student not a teacher - maybe misses his college days?? If you want to learn - don't take this class. Test questions are pulled out of nowhere.
This class was a waste of time. He doesnt teach you anything. He wastes at least a half hour ever class talking about nonsense. He is very immature. Do NOT take him because he screws you over in the end.
Seems like a likable guy. Looks and sounds intelligent. Should he be a professor? NO! Learning isn't putting**** on the test you never went over. I attended every class and wrote down everything. I'm not the slacker, he is.
its the second time i had him...some how he ends up discussing how much he loves the yankees and wastes a lot of time during class. awesome man but not a great professor. If u show him u wanna do well he'll help u out in the end. if u can take him i'd say takee him.
Funny teacher - tries hard to make class lively. Class is easy. Tests are very similar to the notes he gives in class. I dint have to open the text book to get a b+ on his class. Definitely take him - easy and funny.

Santangelo is the Facking Man. One of FU's finest.
I have nothing to show for taking this class. We did learn where corn flakes come from, he hates jude law, why cells can't be used on airplanes, the difference between chanel and tj maxx, and how he LOVES THE RED SOX. No attendance, 2 tests (10 quest each) no homework, TOTAL WACK OFF CLASS.
my spidersense tells me i need an A professor!
He is a good professor who keeps the class interesting with his use of humor in an otherwise boring subject just take notes and study and you will do well
Here is a fact: the last class of the semester was supposed to be a review session for the final... he spent the entire period trying to balance his textbook on the edge of the podium, so that he could win a bet with a student... us?? enjoyed a fantastic movie of Spiderman II..think for yourself..
santangelo is the best.. definately take him. He's funny & easy going, attendance doesn't count against you and the tests are pretty easy.
yo santangelo, your probally gonna read this aloud in class b/c there is nothing else to do today. just give us all A's so we can watch spiderman and work on the sequel, spiderman 3 and 4 so you can be happy (and spend money on it)!!

he is the man..you learn what you have to in a straight forward no nonsense way. he is entertaining and if you take his class seriously ask questions when you have too you will get an A he is the man. def recommend him
One of the worst profs I've had- teaches the same lesson over and over, watches totally non-related movies, talks about stupid crap, then screws you in the end with a B after teaching you nothing and giving a hard final. Big on favorites- the same loud, stupid guys like the one he was in college.
Very good professor, but i don't agree with his thinking that superman would beat the flash in a race especially since flash can run faster than the speed of light
Santangelo is the coolest, nicest teacher at fordham. He makes a boring topic fun to learn I wouldn't of taken stats with anyone but him. By the way he's right superman can beat the flash in a race.
I looked forward to his class during the times that I had him and wish he would teach more economic's classes here at Fordham. He is a tremendous asset to Fordham and he has the great skill of making a boring class fun like Stats I and II. I look at this past year that I had him as fun and good time and not with dread
Santangelo where'd you go? I know you'll read this...
Santangelo is a role model for all teachers. This guy can actually teach you stats II even if you don't like it. You can't help but learn and you'll get a good grade for your effort. I Know you'll read this review...so KEEP IT UP!!!you truly ARE the MAN.
Santangelo is the best Econ teacher Fordham's got. He has taught everywhere. He's a hot commodity. I don't think econ turns off when class ends. He eat, drinks, and breaths econ. He'll tell you why getting married is bad for GDP, why life insurance is a hedge and a question for your wife, and why economics ROCKS! He has VERY interesting lectures.
OMG I LOVE THIS TEACHER!! I GOT A C IN STATS 1 BUT AN A IN THIS CALL. HE MAKES THE CLASS LESS BORING AND MAKES YOU UNDERSTAND THE WORK. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Class was entertaining because he's funny and goes off topic a lot. 1 homework which he never even gave back and no quizzes. MT was a joke i got 100 along with about 10 other kids. Project was pretty strait forward (never gave back) and then the final was really hard. Without a curve I probably got a 60-70 but still ended up with an A
His final was near impossible! Would've been a great professor if the final was easier.
Macro Economics is one of the best classes in the Econ dept. This prof should be teaching only higher level classes - he's great.
Heres a chili pepper!
reminds me of the guy from "reservoir dogs" the movie who plays the world smallest violin
Santangelo is the man, if you take this class be ready for some of the strangest stories you'll ever hear.
HIGHLY RECOMEND!!!STATS DECISION MAKING Santangelo is among my favorite professors here at Fordham. His cap't jack sparrow teaching style is quirky and entertaining. Its amazing how he took something as boring as statistics and made it interesting. HIGHLY RECOMEND!!! If you show up, he will teach you and you will EARN a great grade.
Take any class he teaches....One of Fordham's best..
AWESOME!!!
Extremely boring class. The miderm was super easy. No idea what I got on the final. I thought it was hard, but still got an A in the class. Did not really learn anything, but the class was an easy A.
Giacomo is just awesome. He's lively, funny, engaging, intelligent, and always has stellar clothing. There is no work in his class, just a midterm and a final, and attendance is not mandatory. I highly recommend him, he makes Micro very comprehensible and straightforward. I plan on taking him again any chance I can.
Class was interesting at first, but he just got tired of teaching it. He describes himself as very lazy-- didn't bother me until he failed to give us the study guide for the final until the day before. Grade is based solely off of midterm and final.
Complete legend. If you want to learn, he gives you every opportunity to do so, teaching lessons very thoroughly and helpfully. If you don't want to learn, he's funny and attendance isn't mandatory. Literally the best class ever, it will appeal to everyone.
Did not give adequate preparation for the Midterm Exam. He gave a study sheet but it has nothing to do with what's on the midterm. He expects us to teach everything to ourselves. This isn't learning it is torture. I would rather be waterboarded than sit through another class. His beard is cool.
Very clear lectures. He prepares the whole class for his exams. Very funny guy who makes class interesting. Take him if you get the chance.
Santangelo is a great guy, and definitely runs a funny/interesting class. I highly recommend him if you've taken a statistics course before and don't really care about learning the material, but even if you know nothing about Statistics it's still very doable if you do the hw (almost no one does).
Super Awesome guy. I had him for stats and all we talked about were movies and stories from his old jobs. He only gave us two grades. The midterm and the final. Both were easy and he will even way the one you got a better grade on more. HE HAS AN AWESOME BEARD. If you get him, you will have fun but may not learn everything.
Really good professor. Not so much into mathematics as he is into reinforcing concepts with engaging examples. He wore a 3 piece suit to every class and used hilarious examples to illustrate each microeconomic topic.
Instead of spending half of your lecture talking about what you did on your weekend or what you get for lunch every day at a restaurant near lincoln center maybe you should actually teach the class. worst class and professor ever. AVOID HIM LIKE THE PLAGUE! If i was to give a percentage of the class time devoted to material, i would give 20% max.
Prof Santangelo is a smart guy, but he was not helpful. He doesnt answer emails, and if you ask a question he is extremely condescending. During the final, many students asked him questions and he didnt even look up and just said "read the question." Class is pretty straight forward and not too difficult. If you do the hw, you'll get an A.
Tends to go on a lot random tangents about what he did over the weekend, or some crazy life story, but when he actually does teach, he is a very knowledgeable guy. There are only two midterms and a final, so there's not much room for failure. However, if you study your notes and go through the powerpoints, then you should be fine.
Required class with no homework, only a midterm and a final. He pretends to teach class, but skipped class several times to fly down to Disneyland so that he could return and show off his stamps from Epcot. Even though he teaches nothing, the exams are fairly hard and, unlike Macro, the exams are nothing like the provided study guides.
Awful professor, awful man. He wastes the first 40 minutes of class telling us about his movie picks, etc. - only about 35 min of total curriculum in a 75-min class. He only shows articles/videos interviewing HIM and absolutely no other viewpoints are acceptable. Talks about his "celebrity" to boost his maniacal ego. You end up teaching yourself.
He's a character. I had him online and he did well for speaking into a void of students without their cameras on. HW is given but not graded/collected. do it so you know what the test will be like. idk why he has bad ratings. he's entertaining and always in a good mood and happy to help. butif you don't pay attention you'll end up teaching yourself
Great professor!
He's nice & chill, but lectures aren't catered to kids who've never taken stats before. 3 grades all sem, 2 being tests. He's not easily accessible outside of class & can sometimes be passive-aggressive when answering questions. People who have had stats before prob found him easy, but it was overwhelming/confusing for inexperienced students.
Only did well in this class because i took Statistics in high school. Prof Santangelo is a funny guy but spends most of class talking about things that could not be any more irrelevant to what we are learning. Lots of time in class is wasted for him to rant about random things when I could be doing other things far more productive.
santangelo teaches using a lot of humor and he makes the concepts very easy to understand. the grade is only your midterm and final, but his textbook is a good resource and is equally as funny as him
Want an easy class? Take him. But you will be bored out of your mind. He never even talks about economics, but rather randomly rants about Harry Potter or Disney. He is so random.
he doesnt really talk about econ in his lectures but he's very entertaining and his class is test-heavy. take him for an easy a
Absolutely the best professor I have ever had. He is an amazing and hilarious lecturer. Don't take notes, just listen to his lectures and then prepare for tests with the material he provides and you will do great. Gives absolutely fair tests. I learned a ton and had a good time doing it, can't recommend enough.
Professor Giacamo Santangelo is one heck of a man. He exudes true alpha energy in the classroom and dominates students! I got him to sign his own textbook, "Big Things Come In Small Packages". I would definitely take Giacamo again so that he could spread his knowledge into my mind.
Regardless you have had past statistics experience or not, Santangelo is good. Yes, he tends to go on and on about random topics, but in my opinion it makes his class more engaging because he covers content in time anyway. Do the homework (not graded), show up to class, pay attention. TAKE NOTES. Only one midterm (30%) and one final (50%).
Giac is a very inspirational man. A true man, who cares enough to help. At first the econ gonna come on you hard but you have to just take it on the chin, swallow your pride and you will be fine. Having said that Giac really enters into you, making you feel right at home in his class.
Professor Santangelo makes Stats so easy. Highly Reccomend!!!!!!!! He keeps you entertained during class time so you aren't listening to a zombie. Would take every single course he offers.
He will always go out of his way to come to you. At first, you will really be tired of just getting a taste of the economics, and you'll want the whole load but it'll come. Similarly, all semester long you'll increasingly want to really penetrate the course load and get deeper. All in all, Giac is a profound man who cares about his students.
Lectures were fun and interesting during the semester. When midterms and finals come, which are the only grades in the class, you will be completely unprepared if you depend on his lectures and you need to study the textbook and teach yourself everything. If you have a choice, I don't recommend.
Where do I begin? WHAT. A. MAN! Professor Santangelo was easily the best professor I have ever taken at Fordham University. His knowledge of Economics dominates you and takes over the entire classroom. I will definitely be taking him.
Prof. Santangelo is an incredibly knowledgeable instructor and a great lecturer. However, much of what is actually discussed in class has little to do with the actual material. While he is an easy grader so this isn't too much of an issue if you're taking the class for credit, don't expect to finish the class having learned much about the subject.
Prof Santangelo was super friendly, but his lectures did not align with the material. He was a very generous grader, which was great and made up for his lack of talking actual statistics most of the time. Grade was made up of midterm, final and a HW.
Giacomo, what can I say about him that hasn't already been said about Jesus Christ; A true God in human form You truly learn how to exude alpha energy and the "I am him mentality" Previously working at Hustlers university, Giacomo with the help of his long time friend and colleague Andrew Tate come together often within his lectures exuding aura.
Santangelo is the GOAT! He engages with the class, spends the whole time checking in and conversing with the class, and then brilliantly ties whatever we have been discussing into the economic concept we were supposed to cover that day. He's easy but you still learn a lot.
He's funny and enthusiastic, making him a good choice for early classes since you won't be asleep. He's always very open to questions and really appreciates participation. Still, class depends on few things, so attendance is not mandatory but very useful. If you come to class and pay attention, he goes over every problem that will be on exams.
Barely gives any work. We had just a midterm and final, probably some participation. Dont expect to be able to track your grade at all. Just yaps about current economics and goes on tangents. Nice guy but you don't do much or learn much.
Cool professor as a guy, but exams are pretty much a lottery unless you know the textbook inside and out. The study guides help, but I can never seem to get the preparation done. Very lenient with the grading, though, so it balances out.
Lectures suck doesn't even talk about stats. Only graded by midterm and final so good luck.
Silence, student. Santangelo non economics rants is talking
Good luck, because you will have to memorize multiple chapters of information that are not covered well in class, as most of the class time is spent on lectures that are not directly applicable to the tests.
