He's a current Judge so obviously he knowledgeable on this stuff. He breaks things down and gives good examples so its easier to understand. Need to study for his Exams because he tests the application of the law in scenarios. Read the book and do all homework assignments and you get a passing grade.

Judge Ochoa could be a Harvard professor. He is a legal guru & currently a judge that WANTS to teach. He treats you like a smart college student. He doesn't insult your intelligence by just getting through the material, but rather brings certain topics to life and allows you to read your textbook for the stuff he doesn't get to. Highly reco

His class was actually interesting. He is a judge and he gives examples from his work place and his own life. However, you will have to read the book and make your own study guide. He will tell you everything you need to know for the midterms, as well as final. Class attendance is not mandatory for he puts up the ppts soon enough, but I advise that you attend because he discusses a lot of cases. The book is needed as well. Although the ppts help, the book is needed to better understand the material. Just don't get lazy!

It is an interesting class but can get a bit boring since the professor has a mono-tone voice. But he does tell some funny jokes and/or stories. the class is straight forward: 3 exams based off of book and powerpoints. Easy and relaxing class!

Great class, very interesting, 94% of your grade is two tests and the other 6% is participation. It is a bit intimidating to basically have two tests as your grade but three are given so if you don't do well on one he will drop the lowest score, which is a life saver! Overall great teacher and very interesting subject matter! Would recommend Ochoa!

Amazing professor and is a judge that cares about teaching laws to students. You can respect him and he respects his students even when views differ. The tests are pretty tough and if you don't read the book yourself (not just pay attention to lecture) you'll probably get a bad grade on the test. 2 Tests counts as 94% of grade, he drops one test.
