Not clear at all in class, but I have to give him props, he will do anything to help you understand if you go to his office for help. Really nice guy too!

Wonderful teacher. He's a great guy and does absolutely whatever he can to help you understand. He'll make test questions extra credit if a lot of people get them wrong.

Interesting teacher. Will help you outside of class, but test and exam is hard as s***. half of the class will fail even though he gives extra credit. Not an easy course unless you are really good at teaching yourself and good at math.

He is a great guy. The class is pretty hard, lots of material, but he makes it as easy as possible. In my experience with this class if you're not going to do the work you need to, you're going to fail, and thats not his fault.

Great guy! The class was very difficult for me, but I am horrible at math and have to have things explained to me like a 10 year old, which he was happy to do! He spent bocoos of time with me outside of class!

I hate math and I am awful at it, but professor Lauzon made the class fun and took his time to explain everything as many times as needed. As long as you ask questions he will go over and over things. He is very helpful during his office hours.

the class is very very hard so dont go in thinking u can slack off. but mr lauzon is willing to help. he has three office hours a week and sometimes he will even come in on friday.hes a great teacher.

I failed college alg 3 times so this was hard as **ll for me. He gave me every chance to do well. Failed every exam except final. He helped me every day and let me do hw at his office. He publishes his notes online if you can keep up. Best teacher I've ever had by far.

A pretty hard class, but it prepares you for the departmental final. Will do everything he can to help you if you get confused if you are trying.

Great guy, puts everything out there for you. If you fail id say its a 99% chance its your fault. Somtimes he goes a little fast but all u have to do is ask him to slowdown.

The guy goes very fast, but if you do the homework, go to his office hour lectures, and print out all the stuff from e-reserves then you'll pass the class. You really have to stay on top of things with his teaching style. Lauzon is also adaptable to college students that have a part time job. I loved math in High school, but now I am not sure.

Before taking his class I hated math and was always a C student, but got an A in his course and absolutely loved it. If you stay on top of the material you'll do fine, and he is an extremely helpful and funny guy. Best math teacher I've ever had.

I LOVE MR. LAUZON!!!!!!!! was in his office at least once a week getting help, and it definately paid off. He is always willing to help and funny in class. Math sucks in general but he definately makes it bearable. My favorite teacher at the college by far!

The course has a lot of information that is crammed into a very limited time. Lauzon is a great teacher but you must keep up with the work and be in class to do well. His tests can be hard but they are fair for the amount of info covered. He is always willing to help so just ask. Very funny guy and a great atmosphere.

Plan on being in class and doing your homework, although it isn't checked, quizzes weekly which help your understanding, and 4 tests.

HILARIOUS! I absolutely love Prof. Lauzon! He is the funniest old man and really keeps you interested. He moves fast in class but is really organized and gives you notes. He is really helpful in office hours and I would deffinently recommend using them. Take this class!

I have mixed emotions about him. He moves real fast and sometimes doesnt write all the steps and doesnt tell you about it. You will get confused a lot, but if you do the homework and go to Math lab you can do well. He really wants his students to do well and will help you if you need it. Also he talks like Peter Griffin.

Lauzon is a great, interesting professor. I am so glad to be taking his class and I will be taking it next semester if possible. His teaching method was not as hard as people are making it sound, and he's ALWAYS willing to back up and explain the steps for you. ASK QUESTIONS if you don't understand and you'll do fine!

Not the easiest or clearest pre cal teacher, but i think he is an excellent professor who will go out of his way to help you understand the material. i feel very well prepared for Cal I after taking his class, but it wasn't easy.

he's a really good guy and is always willing to help if you need it. he skips steps when he does the problems on the board because he does the problems in his head. but if you have a question he's more than happy to explain it clearly. i would recommend him.

I had Lauzon for Calculus for Business and Social sciences. im a psych major and NOT good at math! We used the new Hawkes system-it was a pain, but honestly helpful. Lauzon is a GREAT professor!!! on the first day of class he stated "if you're not doing well in this class, it's not your fault but mine"...if a prof says that-you know they're great!!

GREAT PROFESSOR!! I absolutely suck at math and have hated math until his class. This man is just great and so helpful. If you take the time to go see him in his office, he will take the time to help you out. He makes test from old classes availible to study from. Its not graded but you should do the homework, it is very helpful. Lauzon is great :)

Lauzon is a great teacher. He's been doing it for years. His handouts are extremely helpful. He might seem unsympathetic if you're struggling ONLY if you're not doing the work. If he sees you in his office hours he will do anything to help you through the class. I'm terrible at math and I made an A.

He moves way too fast in class. Ive had precalc before so it wasn't bad but i can understand how the class can be impossible for people who have never seen the stuff. He can be really condescending when you ask a stupid question. Makes really funny random remarks, keeps class interesting.

Lauzon is a great guy! PreCalc is hard stuff so don't expect it to be a walk in the park. He does his absolute best to help you understand it. MOREE that willing to help, so GO to his office hours. I lived in them this semester and its definitely paying off. He jokes around and posts practice tests. Go to class, do the hw, go to office hours. nbd.

The class wouldn't be so bad if his tests and quizzes weren't about ten times harder than the homework in the book. At the end of the semester he does something with the quizzes that brings your grade up. He can be confusing but you just have to ask him to explain again. Says the most random funny things sometimes.

He does want to help and he does want everyone to do well, but he does come off as a little hateful. He really isn't. Go to his office hours WITH YOUR WORK DONE to get help. If you expect help when you have done no work, he will be hateful. Tests and quizzes are really hard. However, a B on the final means a B in the class itself.

Lauzon gives you EVERYTHING you need. Pre-cal is no easy A. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Show up with the HANDOUTS and take thorough NOTES on them. HW, quizzes, and tests will be a piece of cake. Im no math whiz and i feel confident im getting a B+(or A). Take his help! DO NOT get offended if he seems condescending or bitter. Study and be prepared.

OFFICE HOURS OFFICE HOURS AND MORE OFFICE HOURS! This is key to succeed. I made a 46 on the 1st test and put my nose in his office from that day on. He wants you do do well and is very helpful. Pretty funny as well. Tests are hard but prepare you extremely well for the final. Grading scale is wonderful i'm hoping to come out with a B knock on wood

Take Lauzon. He is very helpful and if you put in the work by doing the suggested homework and going to office hours with your questions, then you should come out with a solid B even if you're no math wiz.

I was scared to take him but am glad i did! Hes only grumpy because people put in 0 effort and expect to get good grades. As long as you bring ?s showing that you tried to office hours he will help you work out the whole problem! Book problems arent required but help alot. His problem handouts are all questions that show up on the tests.Take him!

Lauzon is awesome! This guy has a sense of humor that makes everyone laugh - sometimes even without thinking about it. This course is easy if you're willing to try. Homework is the biggest part of the grade and it's all online. I signed up for his 111 class next semester and plan on taking as many of his courses as a can for a math minor.

Math 111: He wants his students to do well but does not hand out grades. He goes quickly in class, so if you miss class its hard to catch up. Make friends in the class and study together. Additionally see him in office hours; the day before a quiz there is usually a review session. He prepares you for the final by making you learn not memorize!

Though he did not explain what he was doing often when it came to math problems, he was ALWAYS available for extra help any time you would need him. He was willing to work through whatever problem you had, and never made you feel dumb for asking questions. This class was definitely tough, do not skip. Lot of webassign, but helpful in the end.

Lauzon is a great teacher because he genuinely cares about his students and is on your side. Whenever you are struggling, speak up and he will help you. He has gone out of his way multiple times to help me outside of class. His class is hard, but the only people who don't get a good grade are because they didn't speak up and ask for help.

I absolutely loved this class. He explained the content very well and had organized and well prepared notes for the class. The notes are online and accessible at any time. He is willing to help you outside of class whenever you need it! He also made funny jokes and gave you creative ways to remember formulas or important equations. Great professor!

Lauzon is the single best math teacher I've ever had. He comes off as pretty harsh and gruff at first, but he's hilarious and he's always willing to help outside of class. I wouldn't have passed precalc without his office hours. Definitely would recommend.

I loved having Professor Lauzon! He is willing to help in and outside of his office hours. He cares about your success and understanding of the material. There is a lot of homework due on WebAssign but it helps you to understand the lectures and prepare for the exams. There is also five points of extra credit at the end of every test.

Dr. Lauzon to date is the coolest professor I've had at CofC. He's hilarious and caring about his students. Despite what others have said on here, you have to be extremely lazy to be forced into dropping or failing his class. He gives extra credit with each exam and really encourages struggling students to ask questions or go to office hours.

I've watched people struggle in Lauzon's class, but it all boils down to if you take time to do your homework, and if you are struggling, then GO TO OFFICE HOURS. Every time I get confused, I visit and he takes time to make sure that I understand. He cares that students are getting good grades and don't feel stressed. Best teacher I've EVER had.
