Great Professor. He teaches really good. He is funny, kind, and help students if they do not understand something. He provides helpful examples and really wants all his students to pass the class. I really like him. I wish he would teach Eng 220 in the fall.

Now here's a professor who knows exactly how to teach a class and reach out to his students. Not only does one learn a lot from his class but he also knows how to make it fun and interesting! He's very aware of politics & current affairs (a very admirable trait) and would not mind conversing about them after class. He's also very, very cute!

He was the best professor i had in my freshmen year. He is very helpful. I think he was pretty easy. all you have to do is go to class and do the work. there are few mini essays and 2 or 3 major essays. They seem hard but he explains them really good. i would love to take him for 220 if he is teaching. one of the best at hunter.

Gil is the best! He teaches you invaluable essay writing skills. Before I took his class, I felt like every essay with some murky hit or miss type of thing, but now I'm confident of every paper I write. Just make sure not to hand things in late, that was my problem :-/ He's the best!!

Awesome professor. His essay techniques are easy to comprehend and extremely helpful. I was lucky enough to get him as my freshman year english teacher.Lots of writing assignments, but they're fun to write about and fairly interesting. Great professor, need more professors like him around, cause all the others just suck :)

In my opinion, having Morales as my English professor my freshman year of college was very fruitful. Put in some effort and do the majority of the writing assignments and your grade should be fine. This class isn't for those who don't do their work and still think they can pass. His techniques are beneficial to any college student.

A lot of work. Can seem like kind of a **** at first, but hes not so bad, lol. Fair grader and will push you to do things the right way, unlike other profs in the english department.

There is a lot of writing done in this course. You write several pages each day in order to create several long papers (5+). His grading style is weird, to say the least. I do not know if he grades on quantity or quality. It often seems like quantity. Therefore, if you take his course its best to write a lot. He is really fair, besides that.

he is an awesome teachere...only a few papers but he gives you a lot of time in the computer room to work on it in class...gives back papers asap...really nice and open minded...lets you write about what youre interested in...definitely recommend him

although i do not like him at all...his methods truly helped me a lot. now I think writing ten page papers are a breeze. he is relatively nice and respectful so if you follow his instructions and do all your work, you will get a good grade.

He is not only hott but he also is a great professor. Basically if you do all your work you will pass his class. He helps you understand the material really well and he is really nice to look at :)Another thing is all his little assignments add up to a major one so make sure to do them. Personally with him my writing has improved. he is hot!!!!!!!

The most unfair grader of all time. I got high 90's on all my exams, midterms and finals, and got a B cuz i did poor on these little bs 1 page assignments. Give a****power and he runs with it...wannabe white guy.

absent,every point counts,every paper or small homework counts,and you can ask his question after class, he will remember you and give you better grade,but big exams,you have to do really good,keep all your paper safe,may need to put together later,take someone else if you know anyone is easier,not good for non-native

Great teacher who teaches the essential stuff of the English language. Very good introducing new topics and the work does really help in your future college life. At times the work may seem too much but in actually it is not

Morales serves more as a guide rather than telling what you should and shouldn't do. Everything you need to construct an academic paper is in your textbooks. He makes you think politically and socially, which not a lot of people do. This class is not hard if you do a little more than what is expected.

Great professor! Class was great, there are 4 major essays and 5 smaller ones. Guaranteed to like the class and do very well.

This is one of the best english class that I have taken. There are Five major papers and five smaller assignments. Mr. Morales is the best and I learned alot in his class.

OMG. Gilbert Morales is so freaking hot. He is the best teacher ever. he's so cool and I learned so much from his class. I learned how to become a much better writer in is class. Intro Expository Writing. He provides the class w an array of extremely relevant and highly regarded articles in the class textbook, an anthology. Topics about Family Structure, Modern Feminist Movement, Stem Cells, etc. The class is easy in terms of grading. I say use it to better your skills & familiarize yourself w contemporary ideas & dialogue

Professor Morales is HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!!!! hottest professor at Hunter! it requires a LOOOOOT of writing, but I assure you that you'll love this class and your writing will improve a lot! i personally loved this class and i LOVED him, he is a sweetheart and truly enjoys teaching

He is a wonderful teacher. You can tell that he really has a love for teaching and his enthusiasm shows in his classroom. He brightens up every class. He makes a lot of jokes, he's very funny. He's also very smart so do your work. Take this class you won't regret it.

No regrets taking this class. It makes transition for your freshmen year a bit easier. The class is honestly an easy A, as long as you follow directions. Makes a lot of jokes and stories, classes aren't boring. It's a lot of writing, but after the class, 10 pages double spaced feels like nothing. 6 mini papers, 3 formal papers (10pg+), &journals

I had professor Morales for English 120. He was such a great professor. He does assign at least 1-2 essays every week so be prepared to do a lot of writing. There is a computer lab every friday where you write essays on the assigned readings every week, and research papers are long. Not hard to pass with a good grade if you show up and do the work.

Prof. Morales is a high-energy, nice guy. I would take another course with him given the chance. He cares about the course and is very engaged. He is also very respectful to students.

I took Professor Morales in the Spring semester. He is the SWEETEST person ever, and super understanding. The assignments are very clear, and graded fairly. 10 essays. Easy if you put in the work and show up to class. He doesn't accept late assignments, but gives you time in class to work. Gives you the resources you need to write in your field.

You'll do really a lot of writing in this course, but you will really become a much better writer. My essay writing skills improved so noticeably by the end of the session that I wish I had taken this class much sooner! He is gives good writing advice, has good energy and interesting lectures. Very comfortable class. Highly recommend for 301.

He gives out a lot of papers but his mini essays are informal papers and easy to write. He gives three formal papers, two of which are 10 page research papers. Super chill and funny, but JUST DO HIS PAPERS AND YOU'LL PASS WITH A HIGH GRADE! He doesn't give much feedback on turnitin, but in person he helps a lot!

This professor is amazing! Yes, the class involves a lot of writing, but he actually gives you ample time to do so in classwith his assistance and your peers. Class activities were fun, and he is an extremely enthusiastic and upbeat guy who cares about his students progress, as well that hes a really fair grader, as long as you submit on time.

I never in my life thought I could write a 10-page paper before this class. Honestly, he will teach you how to write amazing papers. The mini-essays may be a pain in the butt but you'll thank him for them late. I definitely recommend taking his class!!!

Morales is one of the most easy-going, laid back professors I've ever met at Hunter. He's extremely nice, and class sessions are really chill. Group work is a great section of class for this text, and about 2/3 formal papers are due throughout the semester. Overall this is a super doable and easy class and I'd suggest Morales for sure!

He's not a bad professor, here's the thing. He modeled this class as a "writing class" but did not really show us how to become better writers even though the intention was there. 1 book, 2 formal essays, a ton of mini essays, and some group presentations. He's a fair grader, very understanding, overall a really chill professor.

Easily one of the best profs I've had. The class is a writing class, so there are papers, but they're short and he's super chill about them. He gives extensions when you need, and is super understanding if you're having trouble. Make sure to do the reading!!!

He is simply an amazing prof. He is so passionate about what he does without being arrogant about it. He respects ur opinions and would def sit down with u to talk about how u are and if u need help. Such genuine person to begin with and I respect him so much. Class is fun&knowledgable. Im usually really shy but he created such safe environment.

Professor Morales was great! I truly enjoyed his class and learned a lot from the readings he assigned and from his own lectures. The readings were extremely helpful and you really get a lot from them that can be applied to your future writing. The work he assigns is doable and not overwhelming. Definitely worth it!

Professor Morales is truly a gem and has made this remote learning experience a breeze. During this 5wk course, we only met once a week but he is always available outside of class to talk. He creates a safe space for students in the "classroom" so that everyone is at ease to participate. He's down-to-earth and sympathetic, definitely recommend!

I took my first ever summer class with professor Morales and this 5 week experience was truly great. I learned a lot about writing techniques and seldom felt unnecessarily stressed about assigned work. Prof. Morales is caring and down to earth, you will not regret taking him!

He is a pretty chill professor. Not strict at all and he is very understanding. All you need to do is show up and do the work and he throws A's at you. He does give so many mini essays, readings and papers to do but he is definitely not a tough grader.

It's an English class, expect to do some writing. The course is delivered in a way that gets you writing 2-3pg essays at a time, and then you get a few weeks to put together a longer research paper for the end of the semester. The prof is reasonable and zoom attendance was not mandatory, so if you keep up with the assignments it's an easy A.

Like some others have said, there is quite a bit of writing that you have to do. However, we get to choose the topics we write about, so it feels like less of a chore. Overall, he is a great guy and a fairly easy grader! If you have the chance to take his class, totally go for it! You won't regret it!

really great english professor. he is really kind, makes sure that everyone understands the "lectures" and isnt workload heavy. we had to read articles from our textbook and either post in the discussion board or journal about it on our online journals. along with that we had about 5 mini essays which were all really interesting and the final too

Professor Morales is an absolute teacher to have. He always gives great feedback on all the work, and he is always generous in offering extensions to students. Five mini-essays and the research paper make up the grade, but he is very fair with giving extensions on certain occasions. My writing changed after I had him for the semester. Thumbs Up!

TAKE HIM!!!! He is a fantastic professor and human being. This is the one class in Hunter that, if you're on top of your things, it's the one class you get to be chill in outside the chaos of other courses. JUST TAKE HIM ALREADY

He is a real gem! So respectful to all his students and teaches the writing methods that actually work! He gave us group projects throughout the semester but it was fun. He is very strict with the deadlines tho so make sure you do every single paper on time. The final essay matters the most so spend more time doing it. I skipped some classes lol

He is great, but I've noticed that he gives out higher grades to his Latino students just because they are Latino. Your last name makes a difference in his class. That's not fair sir, aren't you supposed to treat all your students the same? Other than that, he is awesome.

One of the best profs I've had. He is a really fun and interesting person. He basically taught me how to write. His teaching methods were very easy to follow while being able to get a lot out of it. Broke down a 10-page research paper into something easy.

He was a nice guy, but the workload was too much. We had to do group presentations and write and a paper based on the topic. I got the reason why, but it felt kind of unnecessary. We also had to write 3-4 journals a week to help practice our writing, but that didn't do much. It was just more work to stay on top of. However, he was a fair grader.

Professor Morales is overall a good prof and wants all of his students to do well. I will say that he values participation highly and will cold call his students in class, so make sure you're keeping up with the work load. He is an extremely easy grader so long as you put in effort and make corrections when he tells you to. Textbook is optional.

He really made sure we improved on our writing and we can write about a multitude of topics (my final paper was on reality TV). Always check his feedback and fix whatever he tells you to fix! To be honest, there is quite a bit of writing: 3 three-four pg papers and a 10 pg final. As long as you do the work and try to improve, you'll be fine.

Gives everything that is needed for you to succeed in his class. Be aware that one, there is a good amount of writing and reading material that need to be done, and two, his due dates are precise. He will not give you any chance to submit any of your homework after the date and time the assignment was due. Besides that, he is a great professor.

A pretty easy class, just a lot of writing tbh. After every essay he gives you feedback and gives clear guidelines on what he's looking for. Also for our final paper we worked on it in steps which was way easier than starting it and writing it in one sitting. He is a really nice and caring professor too.

He was a great teacher who broke down research papers easily and had us submit 3-5 page research papers weekly like it was nothing! 5 graded research papers and one final 10 page research paper + reflection portfolio in the end. also broke the 10 pager down really easily! he's also really funny and super understanding. take him!

He is a chronic over-sharer and very unserious. The class has a super relaxed atmosphere and we have a lot of fun conversations. It takes a while to get used to his attitude because it's quite different from other professors we have but once you do you will really enjoy the experience. There's a lot to write but he's a VERY easy grader.

He's a personal trainer in his free time so he treats the class like a team and he's the coach, very sweet and personable.

Honestly loved him as a prof. He's social with students and genuinely wants everyone to succeed. Do all your work on time and you'll be fine. Make sure to take his advice into account when writing your papers, he notices. Loved him tho.

He's interested in watching you grow as a writer and supporting you. He may opt to call on people in the class and model writing to the class, he won't if you are uncomfortable. He's understanding but you still need to put in the work for his class to succeed. Sets up the final paper to be very streamlined with plenty of class time to work on it.

Professor Gilbert is very chill. He has his own principles, such as not accepting late assignments at all, but he gives you enough time to complete them, so there are no problems with that. He's relaxed and jokes a lot, gives good feedback on your work. He assigns a lot of reading, but sometimes it's not necessary; it's just being on topic.
