She is very interesting and tells you everything you need to know in lecture. As long as you show up and listen you could get a B.

I would not reccomend this professor if you are a serious psychology student. All she does is jabber about things that you already taught in other psychology classes. Her lectures are simple reviews and the tests are not at all challenging. Easy "A" even if you don't show up to class regularly.

She loves what she does, is very passionate about teaching and helping her students not just memorize but learn the material and makes learning fun through real life examples. She gives you the grade you have earned and is always available in her office for extra help. She cares about her students.

Very good instructor. She understands individual needs and makes it easy for anyone to talk with her at any time. She also allows the students to copy or tape record her lectures, doesn't require you to buy the book, all the test come from the lecture. Just show up for class it's an easy A.

She goes into detail waaayy to much. Then she repeats the same thing over and over through out the semester. It all gets really old and boring and I'm not saying that cause I don't like psyc. I love psy. But I always seem to be really sleepy during her class.

Awesome professor and cool person all around... Her tests are based off of a combination of her lectures and the book, so be prepared to read. The book is a breeze to read though, so its not difficult.

She's one of the most understanding professors on campus. Jot down the notes exactly as she recites them, and you'll definitely get an A on the exams. Online course is also easy. The exams are open book so it's a snap to get an A.

I am currently taking this class online, and Dr. Reed is great. She has print-out power point slides as well as recorded lectures to listen to.

I've had Dr. Reed for a lot of Psych classes and every one is the same. She takes her tests exactly from the notes. If you read over her notes the night you get them and then once before the test, you will do great. She answers all questions and is very understanding. Just a great great teacher. Her classes are the reason I became Psych Major!

Class was a little TOO easy for a senior-level course. It's almost as if she is afraid to challenge us. Seniors do not need word lists and test review lists. the text isn't even required. Class did not go into anything deep enough. It felt like I was in a 1000-level course.

Some say she's easy, and she does seem to want everyone to succeed, but I must say that I did learn a lot in her class also. I like when she would "go off on tangents." :-)

If you want to boost your GPA, take her class. I took it online and it was the easiest A ever. She wants everyone to succeed. The tests we straight off of the powerpoints, and there was no time limit! I loved it. Easiest A I will ever get.

Dr. Reed is a very intelligent woman. She knows her stuff. This class was just like any general requirement, sometimes a bit boring. Def. stick with it, her tests are in a form that allows one to guess at the right answer if it is not known. Dr. Reed goes through a TON of notes, but not all are on the tests, just a select few. Don't get the book!

Her online class is very straightforward- you listen to lectures and take notes and you will get an A. The lectures are very interesting and I did learn a lot, but it is definitely a GPA booster class. You would have to try to fail. I highly recommend her.

This is the second time I have had Dr. Reed and plan on taking her classes as much as I can. While the courses are easy, you still learn a lot. And you never have to buy a textbook! Highly recommended.

I love Dr. Reed's classes. She really is an inspiration. She is the reason I changed my major to Psyc. I have completed four of her classes. I am taking two now and plan to take as many as I can before graduation. The material is interesting. She makes it easy. Yes you will get an A but you will also learn a lot.

Her class is a freebe class. I have had four of her online classes and passes them all with 95+. There are four questions for homework each week and after three to four weeks a test. The lectures are boring but after as many classes as I have had you don't even listen to them any more. If you need a few easy psyc classes, take her.

Her class is easy. Tests are straightforward & in a nice format (multiple choice with 3 right answers, you pick the wrong one). The textbook is not needed & was never used. Attendance is not mandatory but tests come DIRECTLY from lectures. She speaks very quickly but if you need to fill in notes she'll help during office hours. Take her class.

Amazing professor!! She knows what she's talking about & definitely has a passion for it! Exams are easy as long as you pay attention. Gives a lot of examples to help with exams. Amazing professor. Need a recorder. Make sure you take notes fast. I type faster thus my notes were word for word and I made an A. You must pay attention. She gives you a word bank to aid in note taking which is very beneficial. Attendance is not mandatory but is essential to a good grade. Very helpful teacher. Extremely knowledgeable!

Online Child Psyc, the most boring class ever. I haven't learned anything helpful, if anything all I learned were tips for raising kids. Her lectures are so long and her tests ask the most mundane pointless questions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER.

Did not even have to study, I learned so much from PAYING ATTENTION IN CLASS that all I had to do is re-read my notes one time before the test. Easier to type notes.

Dr. Reed has great insights on developmental Psychology. I'm planning on taking all the classes she teaches. She doesn't require a testbook which is nice, but you must go to class as her tests are ALL note based. There are no surprises on her tests but you must study.

If I had to describe Dr. Reed in one word it would be considerate. She always responds promptly to emails and is overall just a nice lady who loves teaching. I have taken Dr. Reed 3 different times online, and always enjoyed the class. She lays everything out from the beginning so you know what is expected and what exactly you will be doing. As long as you listen to the lecutres, do the weekly homework, there is no reason you shouldn't get an A.

You MUST have at least one class with her! I've taken four courses with her and will take as many as I can! Her lectures are phenomenal- in class and online. Her tests are asked "Which one of the answers is FALSE?" out of four choices, so make sure you study but for the most part they're pretty easy. Love, love, love her. Very willing to help!

Everyone needs to take her at least once! She's absolutely amazing: funny, caring, loving, sweet. 3 exams and a final (not cumulative) but can't remember if it's mandatory. I have taken this professor since I started at UNO and I continue to take her every semester I can. She is the reason I became a Psych minor. Her lectures may be long but I have learned so much about the brain and how we interact with the world. Her test format is "all of the following are true except which one?" If you need help with the materials, she will clarify them for you during her office hours and on email.

Gilda Reed makes Psychology extremely fun! She tells you in the beginning of the semester that attendance isn't mandatory. Read the notes she puts online and take the tests. The tests are literally questions pulled directly from the study guides.

I have taken basically all of her classes and they all have been like this one. She gives you TONS of material but once you get used to her tests and study the right way you can receive an A!

personally i prefer her online classes over her real in person classes they are alot easier however in her normal classes she is easy if you attend class and study

This online class, and any other online class by Gilda Reed, is extremely easy if you put the work into it. If you can transcribe the lectures that are on moodle that she records of herself... then you can search terms during the test and make 100. It will take about 1-2 hours to transcribe each lecture (some very short), but worth it!

I took this online to get a social science credit. She gives great YouTube lectures with easy quizzes. This class is absolutely an easy A if you listen to videos carefully and answer the questions she assigns.

Dr. Reed is a wonderful teacher! Her lectures do contain a lot of info, but she puts her exact notes on moodle and gives you a test review with the what will be on the test. Her tests are in the format of "which of the following are false," which makes it easy to use the process of elimination. Textbook optional.

If you have the chance, take this teacher! I have tried to get one of her classes every semester, she is funny and intelligent so the lectures are interesting and entertaining. I have taken this professor for two classes and absolutely loved it! She gives us the notes from the lecture and if you study them for your tests you will definitely make an A! She does not give unnecessary busy work, yet you still learn what you need to know. You can clearly tell that she cares about the success of her students.

I have nothing but nice things about Dr. Reed. Her lectures are very well structured. There are no powerpoint slides so pay close attention in class. If you miss something during the lecture, don't stress she posts the her notes online once the lecture block is over. Absolutely amazing

I took Professor Reed's Dev Psych 2100 class and I learned much more than just a credit. I would highly suggest this class if you are from a dysfunctional family, and parenthood scares you. I will keep her test notes long after this class, for real-life learning. The tests are open book and you will learn more than you expect to! Take her class!

I took her online developmental psych class and her in-person educational psych class. As a non-psych major with only an AP psych class behind me, I found the class to be manageable. Her test format is a bit strange (all of the following true EXCEPT) but she drops the lowest grade so you have a chance to get used to it. Sweet lady, Ill miss her!

I had Dr. Reed for Ed. Psych. Do not expect to do well, let alone pass, if you consistently miss. There are no PowerPoints or anything like that, it's literally just her lecturing for the hour. Professor Reed is without a doubt, the best teacher I have ever had. Her lectures have had a profound effect on me. She has raised 8 children, survived Polio, holds multiple doctorates, has run for governor of Louisiana, and is still teaching in her late 70's. She does not bombard students with busy work, and she truly wants her students to learn.

It was my freshman year and I loved this class. Very polite and answers your emails back within 1 to 2 days at most. All you have to do is watch a lecture and answer five questions about it. The questions are word for word from the lecture.

The class was pretty straight to the point, video lectures and assignments for each lecture. Theyre all posted on moodle as soon as the semester begins. The tests and the questions on the assignments are based exactly on what is said in the lectures, you just have to listen and pay attention to them. Fair grader. Definitely taking again.

Gilda Reed is by far one of the best professors in the Psychology department at UNO! While her classes are very easy you will definitely learn so much from them. I took several of her classes over the last several years and I enjoyed all of them.

This particular class is very easy to get an A and all her notes is open notes, but her homework questions is very hard to understand. Most of her notes is on YouTube and it is very long so be prepared for that and she doesn't have office hours on campus or online, so you have to email her to find out her office hours.

Ms. Reed is a great professor but for this particular class psyc 2100 she doesn't have office hours you will have to make an appointment with the professor if you need any help with your work. All of her test is open note.

Really nice and easy. I took this class online so I just had to turn in a week worth of assignments on a sunday but the work wasn't hard at all, test weren't hard at all. I recommend her 100%

She is the best professor for online class you can take it on your own time for Psyc 2200. Her lectures are connected to the quiz and tests, but you have to watch a lot of videos in order to understand what the assignments are asking you to do.

Easy class as long as you watch the lectures and take notes. Her tests aren't hard, but she does have an unusual formula (multiple choice where all answers are true except one). Short quizzes, longish tests (50 questions), and no projects/homework. I would take more of her classes. Easy to understand. No textbook.

I love Ms. Reed class for abnormal psychology 2600, her class was very easy all you have to do is read the lecture for answer your homework assignments and testes. You can take the lecture notes in your own time but be sure for the testes date.

Ms. Reed class for psychology abnormal (online class), the lecture was very easy for me because in this class most of her lecture is most on YouTube but as for the homework assignment was easy. So if you're an person who want the notes to be open-book for homework and testes I would recommend this class and this teacher.

I took this class online and the professor is super nice! she is very understanding, I took an exam a few days late not knowing and she immediately opened it up for me. The class itself was online for me and it was mainly quizzes and exams that are all open book. Entire experience was awesome!!

Ive had this instructor twice and she is a very understanding professor. I missed an exam and didn't realize till a a few days after and she still allowed me to take the exam. The course was very easy and most stuff can be found on quizlet. Her exams are unique but still rather easy. Her coursework is also very light and hard to fail.

Although this was an online course, Professor Reed always made sure that when in need of help she would try her hardest to comply. All of the homework's were opened the whole semester so you could wait until the due date, or get them all done at once which I really appreciated. Her lectures were detailed and professional.

The most easiest class I've ever took. Assignments weren't being assigned everyday, their was a long period of time to complete one assignment which I loved and overall very easy and would take again.

Dr.Reed is the best prof at UNO. I've taken just about every class she offers and if she adds more I will be taking those as well. Everything is laid out in the syllabus from day one she's very kind/understanding. I accidentally missed an exam for one of her classes and she reopened it for me to take without making me feel guilty. Take her classes!
