Her class is laid back and relaxed. She is very funny and nice.There is not much homework, but when there is it is long and detailed and sometimes after pages of work you don't even get a grade.Just a check mark, which is frustrating. 4 Exams through out the semester.You need to memorize EVERYTHING.Also 4 written essays and about 5 pop quizes.

Mrs. Norton is a great teacher, not that much homework but it is a must to study for the exams..make sure you read the modules prior to class also and attendance is important because she goes over each module with a powerpoint and plus the questions on the exams can be of what she talked about in class!! Overall I would take her again if I had to!!

She's hot! Her tests are not hard at all, I always got >100. Just know the terms, listen to her in class, easiest class ever! The terms in book explained very hard to understand, but she makes them easier by explaining in her own way. It's social study class, so essays are inevitable. Highly recommend her!

Great professor!! - passionate about the subject and experienced in the field. Extremely compassionate - always provided study guides and extra credit opportunities. Book was already great but Norton lectured on the material in her own words. 4 exams, 50-questions, multiple choice along with several written assignments and a course project.

She is the best psych teacher! Extremely encouraging, clear on her notes--absolutely take her! Even though I took her 8 AM class I was still excited to attend each morning!

Best teacher, not a lot of assignments. We only read slides during class just about every one of our maybe 7? Assignments are papers which she says exactly what you need to define. Papers, 4 tests, final all we did. She also gave us a worksheet with questions almost everything asked on e test. Nice teacher, boring simple class.

She is an amazing teacher! You are very lucky if you have Professor Gillian for PSY 150. She makes learning very interactive and fun as well as engaging. She gives you help if you ask after class or through an email. Make sure to print out the power point notes she puts on blackboard and use them to study for the exams which are straight forward.

Very good teacher. Lectures aren't all that, but they are informative. Make sure to read the book, that is what 95% of the test consist of. She us extremely pleasant and helpful. Very strict on side conversations and cell phone usage.

Mrs. Norton is one of the best teachers at Wake Tech. She will help you with whatever you need help with. There is no reason why anyone should have trouble in her class with the amount of extra credit and help she gives out.

The professor is the nicest I met since starting college. I really struggled to open up. I talked to the professor, and the more I talked I became more open. I really became honest with myself. I never had someone to turn to besides this. I enjoyed it, and she helped me recover the worse from previous semester.

Awesome instructor. I had this class 8am on Mondays and I never fell asleep or felt bored. She made very interesting. She really knows her stuff and is very nice. If you read, study and come to class, this course should be an easy A for you. Would definetly take another class with her. So far the best professor I've had at WT.

She's a wonderful professor who is really passionate about her field. Her back story is inspiring in a way and her love of teaching is very apparent. I would definitely take a class with her again. NOTE: I had her during a 5 week intensive summer session, and the 3 hour long lectures can drag on sometimes.

Awesome instructor and so nice. She really does care for her students. Lectures were never boring. I took her class in the morning and I'm glad to jump start my day with her class than my others. She was my favorite. Tests were cumulative, but pretty straight forward if you study. Do the big project; its' a big part of your grade, but not hard.

Shes very sweet and usually the tests are on her in class lectures. Papers are not too difficult to write, just don't be disrespectful. She gives out toys and candy, I love it.

Great teacher with a great quirky personality, cares for students. Makes lectures less boring with her stories and examples that we can relate to. If you ask questions she will give informative feedback.. for papers I let her look at it before to revise it and by doing that I got A's on all 3 papers. Don't expect an easy A by cramming last minute

Mrs. G was a real joy to have for an instructor. Great feedback and genuinely wants her students to succeed and will help you do so. Fairly easy grader, as long as you read what you were supposed to, her tests were fairly easy. Plenty of extra credit and helps you learn and correct what you may have gotten wrong on a test.

She is a very good teacher. Participation is key in her class and the lectures are very informative

She's easy to get along with. You'll definitely be caught off guard when you first adjust to the lecture style, but it's easy and can be rather enjoyable. If you just do the assignments, you'll do well enough. Studying doesn't take too much to get an A in her class, and it's easy enough work. You'll get a platform to learn more about psy from.

Mrs. Norton is awesome!! I loved her carefree spirit and passion for psychology! She had just the right balance between talking about herself and talking about the course material. She works with you if you are struggling, and as long as you don't use cellphones in class, don't have side conversations & do all of your work, t will be an easy A!

I took Mrs. G for psych 237. Mrs. G is so cool and gives great lectures. Most of the quizzes she gives are on quizzlet and the thought papers you do throughout the semester are super easy. She will always be willing to look over it before you turn it in if you ask her. There are only online quizzes, papers, a midterm, and final in her class.

If you bring the papers to office hours and make the corrections, you'll get 100. Allows cheat sheets on some tests and final. Pay attention to examples of studies because they are on test. Structures lectures to aid in note-taking.

Great professor and class

Mrs. Norton is a really funny and inspirational professor. She'll often apply her own life to what we're learning and somehow make it interesting and hilarious! Stories are what you'll hear almost every class which is great, but sometimes distracting. Overall, she's a great choice!

Mrs. Norton is my favorite professor at Wake Tech. I've taken two classes with her and I would take more if I could. She's very kind and she cares a lot about her students. If you make an effort and you try, she will work with you, all you have to do is ask. Plus she's great at relating the material to life in a meaningful and insightful manner.

Shes a little crazy but thats what makes her fun. Only 3 tests the entire semester. There was weekly quizzes but they were a walk in the park

She is a great professor. If you just listen and take great notes you will pass. If you need help on assignments see her before class and she will tell you what to fix. Take advantage of extra credit work and pay attention. She shares personal stories that relate to the class. Oh and turn off your phones. She is serious about it!

Mrs G is very caring and you can get straight A if make you make efforts. I took the class during summer and i go to her during her office hours if i needed assistance. Her class is interesting all the time. i will definitely take her again. Although she can be strict in making, she gives extra marks as well.

Think of a preschool teacher with a bubbly, caring, optimistic personality and trying to provide a comfy safe space for her chillins. Now add in-depth psychological knowledge and a few degrees. This is Prof. Norton. She's a great person and a good teacher. You may need the textbook as the lectures are somewhat scattered, but she does get everything

I absolutely loved this class and Ms. Norton. Her instructions are clear and she genuinely cares about her students. Just be ready to write an ethics paper weekly, but actually say how you feel and back it up. She is easy to get in touch with and her tests are super easy to study for. Know your definitions for the final.

Very nice and obviously cares very much for the material and for the students. Gives you plenty of chances. Participation was worth more than the quizzes. Got an A without ever buying the textbook.

The only issue I had was that she wouldnt bump me from an 89 to a 90. Other than that she was great. I really enjoyed coming to class and when I saw her outside of class she really helped with feedback on my papers.

Mrs. Norton is an amazing, caring professor. I had her for General Psych in the fall and am taking her Social Psych class this spring. I am also minoring in psych because I fell in love with her class. Pay attention in lecture and write down as many notes as you can. Three papers- all easy to do and clear what is expected.

I loved her class! She has great lectures and connects each of the topics to story or something outside the textbook which makes it so much easier to enjoy and understand. She also provides numerous extra credit opportunities if you need them.

Great person! She makes papers and test simple. Her powerpoints are not in the same order as the textbook, however, her exams are mainly on lectures and quizzes are on textbook readings. She really cares for her students and makes a joke out of anything. Her personal experience and background tie nicely with the class material/content.

I took PSY-150 over the summer with Mrs. Norton. She is a very nice person, she really does care about her students very much. For a summer class, she went through every topic thoroughly and she provided examples which made a really hard topic easy, I found that very helpful

I love Professor Norton as a person but her teaching style didn't fit me. She tends to draw her lecture out as a diagram and explain it through a real-life story which can be a bit confusing. Her papers are 1 page and fun to write, but quizzes are not easy to pass.

I took General Psychology with Professor Norton and loved it! Her lectures were very informative and interesting because she would relate corse concepts to daily life. She was very funny, caring, and gave plenty of extra credit opportunities. If you pay attention in class, the exams/quizzes are fairly simple. Overall a Fantastic teacher!

Mrs. Norton is the best teacher I have ever had! I wish more were like her. As the semester is coming to an end, I find myself sad. I wish I could take more classes offered by her. Her lectures are never boring! She relates everything to the real world, and there is barely any homework, also not a tough grader. Very sweet, caring and compassionate.

Prof. Norton was a solid general psych teacher. She cares a lot about her students and is very willing to help outside of class. Her tests are based on the in-class lectures and online quizzes are based on notes from the textbook. I found her to be a tough grader on the essay and outline assignments but she wasn't unreasonable.

Professor Norton was absolutely amazing! She really is passionate about her class and actually wants us to understand and learn psych in a fun way. SMART-Goal is very easy as long as you really understand the material. Doesn't give homework and gives out tons of extra credit. She has candy in her office :)

Easy. Loved this class and Professor Norton! You won't regret taking her! She is so fun! We read a chapter, took an untimed, open book test, watched some Ted Talks and wrote a little discussion board each week. She wrote us lots of announcements and is just a sweet, charming, encouraging, person. She loved us and loves teaching. Highly recommend!

if you're still doubting, take the darn class with her! i had the best experience. course work is not so bad. discussion board and a quiz every week. she got feedback from my class so the quizzes weren't timed and open book. i did fairly well without studying. this isn't an easy A, but it's definitely a great class.

She is a very nice teacher and she is always willing to help. Its not hard material and you'll pass the class if you keep up with the work.

Took this fully online, asynchronous, and it was a pretty good experience. Weekly work is repetitive and quizzes were given unlimited time and open book. She offers a lot of ways to learn the material and I did not find it difficult as long as you keep up with the readings/power points. She is really kind and cares a lot about what she teaches.

Professor Norton made learning Psychology easy. At first, I thought everything was a bit overwhelming in Blackboard but after awhile I got used to it! She really cares about her students and it shows! Quiz and discussion board every week, which were not too hard AT ALL. Take her!!

Professor Norton is a great instructor. she gives great lectures. and she goes out of her way to help her students. she is very flexible, she can arrange meetings even on weekends and holidays. One of the best teachers I've had! She really cares a lot about her students, and genuinely wants to help. She has a grace period for assignments, and you can miss 2 days of class and not get docked points. Go to her office hours too, she was helpful when I reached out for help! Open note final and midterm, so take good notes and you'll be fine. :)

This was my second time taking PSY150 for a better grade. This class is very well put together and easy. Read the material, do the assignments and you will do just fine. Prof Norton is awesome and very caring. Allows late assignments if need be. 1 big project split into 3 parts through the semester. Follow all criteria for assignments to pass.11/10

Very enjoyable to listen to. She brings an eccentric teaching style to the classroom. A few group activities in class made the time go faster. The activities could be slightly odd, but they entertained the entire class. She has a few easy strict rules, like no side conversations when she is talking, but other than that, great professor!

She was a great teacher! Learned so much from her. For sure take her in person because its just so much better. Makes class enjoyable. Beware the final next semester will be lockdown and youll have to show camera.

Two day late period. Highly recommend talking with her over her smart goal, as it seems she has unusual request, even when outlining what she wanted. Final test not like the other test, it has long scenarios you have to read out while you have to look back over your notes (cumulative). She's very fun tho great personality! I hate psych now tho.

I took a hybrid course that met once a week. She provided the textbook online for free, and in-person classes were activity based. Each week there's a quiz with unlimited retakes and solutions shown. Each module there's an open-note test. No midterm, final was online open-note. The semester-long project is easy and she gives clear rubrics.

Professor Norton is fantastic - she really cares about her students and is always willing to help. Lectures were engaging, and unstuck AI was a great study tool alongside the textbook. Definitely recommend this class!

Mrs. Norton was great. I had her online and she cared a lot for her students. There was a test every week with 40-50 questions each and they're all from the textbook. There were 2 one-page thought papers that were based on personal experience. She always would ask how you were doing in the tests and genuinely cared about what you said.

Professor Norton is phenomenal. She is a lenient grader, but that's because she just wants you to do your best and connect the concepts to the best of your ability. She is genuinely passionate about what she teaches, and it is obvious she cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I couldn't recommend her more.

Watching Prof. Norton's lecture videos genuinely made me so happy because she loved the subject so much. Beware that PSY-150 requires a good amount of reading and note taking. It is not a "just attend and get an A" kind of class, but if you put in ~3 hours of effort per week, an A with Prof. Norton is easily achievable!

Honestly such a great professor. she really cares about her students and sent me multiple emails saying how proud of me she was for different grades I got on assignments. You get assignments each week and get monday-sunday to complete them. To me, Its impossible to fail this class unless you don't do the work 3 exams 1 final 100 questions
