Mrs. Hogan is a really good teacher. If you have a blank face after she explains something, she'll explain it till you get it. I highly recommend.

If you have problems with grammar take this teacher. In English 40 she explains very well grammar, so you can understand. I had never learned all the grammar errors we make until this class. Attendance is important if you want to learn. She is a great teacher.

If this is going to be your first time taking english, you should definitely take her.She is organized,cares about you,loves her job&her grading is hard especially on essays,so if you're good at writing essays take her!She is the own author of the textbooks you'll be using. That just shows how much of a great teacher she is.Homework is okay.

Very helpful you will learn something in this class. Once she teaches you something you are expected to know it. She does give a lot of homework assignments and out of 20 for example she will only collect 10. There are a lot of essays you will have to right and he is a tough grader! Overall I recommend to take her it will definitely prepare you for English 101.

Gina Hogan is an incredible professor and loves what she does. She is easy going, but is serious when it comes to teaching. She gives you two packets. One for grammar and one for essays. The only books that are required for her class are Building Better Essays and Building Better Grammar. She's very helpful and not boring. You will learn a lot!!

Professor Hogan is seriously amazing. A lot of people dreaded her essays, but they were not so difficult since she clearly discussed what she wanted in them. She does get you for grammar though so be careful. Specificity and consistency is the name of the game!

Take her you won't regret it. Yes, you have to keep up with homework, but it's not difficult. It's more proving you're practicing, and she will help you if you want or need it. She's very hands on and wants her students to succeed. Only downfall is class projects for those, like me, who are awkward and doesn't always get along with others.

When I signed up for Professor Hogan's class, I was sure she would be the typical boring and crotchety teacher. But she certainly proved me wrong! She's a wonderful teacher, very clear and concise. Not only did my writing skills improve for the better, but my mentality toward life matured greatly. Now I'm preparing to transfer and I can say with certainly, SHE IS A ONE OF A KIND PROFESSOR!

Gina became more than a teacher to me. She was pretty intimidating at the beginning of class, but I think that was just to get the students to actually want to be there. If she taught a class on how to be like Gina, I would take it in a second haha please do yourself a favor and TAKE HER CLASS!!!!

Prof. Hogan is literally the best english teacher on this campus. she is passionate about what she does and its obvious that she loves her job. She literally helps you every step of the way. For Eng 099, Hogan assigns 10 essays one for every week. You might think 10 is a lot but you fly right through them. Don't leave them to the last minute or she will notice your work can definitely be better. Hogan is very inspirational and is very easy to connect to. She will go above and beyond to help you if you are having trouble understanding.

To start off Ginas class is amazing. I feel I've grown academically as well in my own personal life from her class. Teaching is not her full time job and she only teaches a few classes because she loves teaching. This shows so much in every class attended. She makes writing essays something not to dread. I took Dr. Hogan for both English 99 and 104. She an amazing teacher. The class is fast paced, but she answers all your questions if you have any, and she responses relatively quickly to emails. She not challenging because of the work load, but because she challenges you to think . From the beginning of class to the end you will be interested.

Dr Hogan is one of the best professors I've had. There's a lot of work but it goes by so fast that it's not bad and her expectations are so clear, it's hard to not get an A. The hardest part is picking a side for each paper. The first day I was nervous because it's so fastball paced, but it's honestly not bad at all. Best class I've taken!!!!

Dr. G is an amazing professor. She cares about her students and their performance in the class. The English 101E course is really centered around understanding different types of college level papers and how to write them. Dr. G is extremely personable and makes class a positive and enjoyable learning environment.

Dr. Hogan was very helpful, her assignments were not difficult at all. There will be 3 essays if you follow her instructions it won't be that hard. HWs and discussions were very easy as well.

I took Professor Hogan for winter 2024. It was my first semester at Citrus and I had a great experience. I saw she previously already had good reviews so I decided to take her class and was not disappointed. She is very understanding if you communicate to her. Her grading style is more so based on completeness so you can understand the material.

Great professor! Searched on who to take for english and I am happy I found her. It seems like a lot at first but it died down w/ assignments. I was out of school for years and this gave me confidence back. Fair grader, things I thought I didn't do good on, i would get full credit. So she gives full points for actually trying.
