This is the easiest class I've had since Math101. You take three exams all semester and they are all 30 easy multiple choice questions that you will know the answers to having done the three terms assignments she hands out. You also write one 5 page paper based on material she gives you. Lectures are fun but not very useful. Shes germophobic too.
She is a fantastic teacher with a sense of humor! She is someone i would love to hang out with outside of class. But honestly on a business side of things, I learned so much more than my high school history class taught. She's great.
She is such a great teacher. I took this class with only a little interest in history and ended up having a whole new appreciation for the subject. She does not expect much from her classes, only that you will read the book occasionally and do the terms and essay. Great class and teacher!
Doesn't respond to emails, or grades papers within a resonable time, will not help with questions. very arguementative toward students.Lousy teacher- don't recommend.
She is truely a wonnderful teacher! Her lectures are long but are basically the answers to your exams. I took her for 101 and am now taking her for 102. I recommend taking her! Be sure to participate in classroom dicussions you earn the use of a cheat sheet during the exam which may be the diff between an a and a d.
great teacher! really makes history fun to learn
She was great! Tests are easy, Terms are lengthy so stay on top of them and the paper is slightly difficult, but she tells you exactly what she wants. It is her Personality and stories that really make her class tons of fun!
Terms List are too long, shes a a little too harsh on grading and if half the class didnt participate in class discussions no one would get to use a cheat sheet.
She is a wonderful educator, and her class is something you should not miss. You will enjoy this class.
I took Mrs. D'A for 102 online. I absolutely despise history, but the discussion posts, and the replies make you apply what you have read into an actual discussion. Online tests were hard. I did get a good grade, so pay attention and do your posts and terms completely and accurately.
She used to be a good teacher but not anymore, her recent pregnancy made her miserable. She grades harsh on tests, there's 4 terms lists that are at-least 15pgs long, if half the class doesn't participate it affects your grade. I missed 2 classes the whole semester, turned in all my assignments and she failed me my other classes I had all a's & b's
she was inaccessible and rarely participated in the online class. lots of reading, lots of terms, and she never explains why you got points off. the class was passable, but not enjoyable.
Participation is key in this class!!...She's a GREAT teacher when everyone is lively and active. Take her in the morning She will wake you up so fast, she's loud and funny, her terms paper arent that bad as long as you do time management well test are AMAZINGLY EASY! all you have to do in that class is write notes! TAKE HER SHE'S GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOTS OF NOTES! tests are ok. term papers are ridiculously long and take alot of time. does give extra credit if you need it. wouldnt take her again.
If writing essay after essay doesn't bother you, this is the right on-line Instructor. She was not involved with her on-line students. She also let the essays back up and students didn't get their grades or comments for a long time.
I took her as an online professoor and she never answered emails. She was 2 months behind on grading our assignments and she was not helpful when ever she would answer my emails.
She knows history like the back of her hand. She does not teach from a podium; she engages each student and teaches with clarity. She gives a lot of info in a single class but she gives you a break from note taking with a funny story, which keeps you awake and interested in learning. If you are not a lazy person, her papers are easy.
She covered everything that is on the test in her class lectures. While the papers were long, they were easy. As long as you read the material you'll be fine. Her stories in every class were a nice addition.
She was a very good teacher and had a lot of her own beliefs. i had her first thing in the morning and she woke me up quite well with her very loud, yet happy to be there attitude. she does require that you read the text book and do a couple of terms sheets but other than that there isn't much work and the exams are easy.
Mrs. RD is a really good teacher in everyway possible to make you do exceptionally well. You get three terms lists throughout the semester or all at once. Gives three exams. Each terms list is for each exam. Do your terms well becuase you will use them for your exams which are online. I wish I took this class online because its that easy.
She was a lot of fun, and i enjoyed her class. I actually wanted to go to her class. Her stories were a nice break from the strenuous note taking. The Terms paper were a bit tedious, but if you did them the test was a breeze. As long as you do the work, you should get an A, and i did even though I turned some stuff in late.
Nice online instructor, just do your weekly assignment and you will be ok. Lots of extra credit for assignments and the tests. I am taking her for Western Civ 2 because I know what to expect and I like her.
Second online class with same prof, I was the previous poster. Class is easy - extra credit for tests and weekly assignments. Take her! Not many instructors give extra credit - easy A!
What an amazing professor. She's really super helpful and keeps us awake for sure. Having history at 8 in the morning is not fun, but she makes it do-able. Better than an advisor. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR TERMS. I cannot stress that enough!
Very interesting teacher. She mixes the history with current events but does tend to get wordy with current events. Gets behind on material and a little rushed at the end of the semester but overall I enjoyed her class and i would definitely take her again.
Prof RD is awesome! She is sooo energetic and passionate about history. She is great to have as your first class of the day because she will definitely wake you up! DO THE TERMS IN GREAT DETAIL and then the tests will be easy. Love this class!!! Take it!
This class is so great! She makes class interesting. History is not boring to me anymore. I would recommend taking her class to anyone!
I took her for HIS 103 and 101, and am taking her for 102 next semester. i never retained this much about history before her. I love her classes. The terms are easy as long as you take good notes and have the book. She even suggested finding a previous ed if possible (afetr all history doesnt change!) Favorite teacher bar none.
great teacher...all of her classes are fabulous! you need to get the book!! all tests and papers are online and open book. you just go to class to hear her rant about crazy things that happened in history and in her life....sooo funny =)take her class!!!!
Oh my gawsh. She is friggin' hilarious. This woman tells the best stories in the best way possibly imaginable, I kid you not. Unfortunately, that means she's a little lax in the actual teaching area. As far as explaining stuff about history, she doesn't really lay it out all that clearly. Aside from that, the assignments are way easy, usually.
Considering that everyone else has pretty much covered the bases, all that's left to say is: BEST history professor in the world.
Easiest class yet
She is a wonderful teacher. She understands students need time for other classes so she allows late work with no penalties. She is very fair, if you do the work you will have no problem getting an A in this class.
I loved her! Super helpful, super understanding. Great experience.
From day one she lays out everything for the semester. The terms are tedious but in the end its worth doing them since it will help your grade. Attendance isn't mandatory, it will just be your loss for missing the notes. But overall, i loved her and i'm taking her again next semester, she's a fantastic teacher!
She is a nice person and is very passionate about history. As a history major, I'll be happy to take her again.
She is the BEST teacher and funniest person alive. I always looked forward to her class and she made it so easy to pay attention because she kept it interesting.
Good teacher and HOT. what more could you ask for?
great teacher very effective at keeping us up on world problems and realating it to problems in history. also VERY FUNNY
Taken her for all my history classes love her energy and zeal for the subject one of the best teachers at GCC
Don't take her online, go in person. She is on of the best teachers I have ever had. She's gorgeous, hilarious, intelligent, and all around simply an amazing teacher. If you hate Western Civ, take her. She makes everything interesting. If I could, I would take her again in a heartbeat.
the class also works with your schedule as much as possible if something isn't turned in on the exact due date! Love the way she assigns work and she really loves what she does, super funny and keeps everything interesting. Had her for HIS 101 and now 102 in spring.
She's very lenient and understanding. However, you should probably expect to do a lot of learning on your own as I think we covered the course material for a total of 30 minutes in class so I'm pretty sure I have no idea what I'm doing for these essays.
Easily the greatest professor at this college. Extremely knowledgeable in all fields, and always willing to help with anything you need even if it does not involve history. The stories she tells in the beginning of class will literally make your day. I always looked forward to going to class even at 8am. IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY TO TAKE HER.
Intelligent, funny & good looking. The perfect start of the day. Best professor at GCC! If you have to take a history class try to get one of her classes. You wont regret it. I'm taking another one of her classes this semester.
This class is a good one. RD is very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to answer questions. She is funny and makes the early morning class bearable.
RD is very knowledgeable and willing to take the time to answer questions. She is funny and makes the early morning class bearable.
she's great and funny, she made my Monday morning.
By far one of the best classes I have taken! She's one of the teachers that make coming to school worth it! She is funny and very down to earth. She is not one of those harsh teachers but she is here to make learning simple and fun. I Highly recommend this class!
Fantastic
Loved this class it was just wonderful. RD is such a character and she makes you enjoy your class time with her and I find that she keeps me entertained with the way she explains history
Amazing Professor!!!!
RD is literally the greatest professor ever. Hilarious and helpful, she will make your history experience amazing!
The best professor. Helpful, funny, make history interesting. Take her, she is one of a kind.
Makes history interesting
She is quite the character, but despite her plethora of knowledge she only lectures for about a third of the class. Her grading is easy and fair but you do need to but in some work.
RD makes history fun, a subject normally rather boring to alot of people. This is my second time taking her!
RD always made class so fun and interesting even early in the morning. She definitely made Western Civ a fun subject. I would highly reccommend her to anybody! A hilarious and great professor. One of the best at GCC by far.
RD is the best professor I've every had. She made class enjoyable as well as educational. That's not easy at 8am on Monday. I would take any class with her in a heartbeat. I would also recommend her to anyone whether you need a history class or just gen ed credits.
Such a great professor, wish I could take every class with her or her husband.
While I am sure she is wonderful in a lecture class, RD is a terrible on line professor. She never returned e-mails. Every one of my essays was graded on the last possible day for grades to be recorded. This was by far my most disappointing on line experience.
Easy class, If you do all the work.. its a easy A
This is my favorite class. RD makes going to class enjoyable, and teaches history in an entertaining way. I look forward to this class she is so funny, and teaches so you can learn easily. I would take her every semester if I could. Just do the terms sheets!
I took R'D online but also notetook for a student in her class. She relates to the students in some way or another and that's why we love her so much as a personprofessor. Online consists of about one essay per module along with an extra credit essay. There are about 8 Modules and 4 exams along with 6 exam EC. Do the work and you will receive an A
She is hands down the best professor to take. She is very lenient when you get your work in, tests are all online. Easy class.
Best teacher ever. I am taking her again next semester for World History 2. She talks about what's going on in the world for the first half of class and then lectures for the second half. Exams are online and you have about a month to do each one. She is there to help her students. Easy A and a good laugh.
Absolutely awesome teacher. Super funny and loud. Tests are online. First half of class is talking about whats going on in the world, second half is lecture. She makes class hilarious and entertaining.
Amazing teacher who makes class a lot of fun to attend. She is also very helpful with any other class that you need.
Great teacher and cares about all of her students. She keeps class fun and gives you everything you need to pass! Multiple attempts to turn in work or get a better grade.
Fairly easy to pass her class. Everything comes from the book. Very funny professor, will always have you laughing. Isn't strict on attendance, but it is very helpful to be in class. Always willing to help you if you need it.
RD is one of the best professors I've had. Aside from being hilarious, she is incredibly helpful and truly wants her students to pass. I would definitely take her class again!
If you ever have the chance to take one of her classes, you absolutely have to !
Really good class, I would definitely take it again!
RD is the most amazing professor at GCC! If you have to take ANY history class take her because she most likely teaches it! always made my monday mornings 10X better. taking her for western civ 2 next semester because i loved her so much!
Probably the best professor at GCC. She always tells great stories and makes her class as enjoyable as possible.
I never was much for history, but RD manages to make it enjoyable. If you have the opportunity to take her class, do yourself a favor and do it. she is sooo understanding with grading and lateness, and she makes history relatable and teaches you in a fun way. Such a great professor!
I hated history, but RD completely changed that for me. She doesn't give out insane assignments, just terms which you're required to hand in, and those you have a month or more to complete. She is an amazing professor, loves her students and her job, and she is extremely reliable. so funny!!!! TAKE HER, YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED OR BORED.
She talks about anything and makes you laugh hysterically. You get to know a lot about her family because she's always telling stories about her life
Do not get me wrong she is a great teacher and offers an enjoyable class; however, she preaches leftest views to her class. She thinks she knows it all about politics just because you went to school and have a degree does not mean your the know all, and she will flat out tell students their wrong when in fact they are not.
RD is someone I would take again, solely because she is easy. Do the assignments and you will be fine. She is very loud, sometimes its annoying early in the morning but you get used to it. She is very passionate and makes the class a little bit easier to enjoy. Take her, you'll do fine
Only met once per week. Lots of snow days on the one day we do meet. I enjoyed her class because she made the subject interesting.
This class was amazing. Even if history is not up your alley, it is a fantastic class to take. It is not necessarily a guaranteed easy "A", but if you participate in class and read the book, you are in fine shape. The teacher is hilarious and down-to-earth.
RD's class is amazing - she is a wonderful professor. Even if history is not 1 of your favorite subjects of study, it is an excellent class to take. She understands that history is not everyone's cup of tea and her lectures are very interesting. She is also very helpful, understanding, HILARIOUS, & down-to-earth. Do the assignments & you'll pass
She's extremely passionate about history and will help you understand in any way possible. Taking notes is a must because the terms assignment and tests are only from her personal notes and book. She made me enjoy a subject I absolutely loathe. She is extremely helpful and lenient about late work. I highly recommend taking her for any class.
RD was an overall great professor! She knows what she's teaching and is very student friendly.
Great teaching and stand up presence. Course was very interesting for 8am
Professor RD is an awesome teacher. She is very helpful and she makes herself very available for her students. This is my 3rd semester with her in a row. She is one of those teachers that make school worth going to. She is funny and very easy going with the work as long as you get the work done before the end of the semester you will be fine.
she makes the course enjoyable, and has you laughing everyday in tears
She's awesome! Take her!
By far the best teacher at the school. I have never taken a professor as passionate as RD. She is an inspiration!
Professor R.D. makes History very interesting. I am in no way a history buff but she made me want to learn. She opens her classes with current events and ties a lot of the current events into her lectures. What is expected of you is told to you in the beginning.
RD is the best. Keeps you interested. Talks about current events. Makes everyone laugh. Very helpful if you need her. Quiz every week but they are easy as long as you have your book. Can't wait to take her in the fall.
aways available to her students, has clear guidelines, one of the top professors I have had at RCGC out of 20 plus classes I took her for HIS103 also she was tops.
RD is great take her you will not be sorry
an ok class.
This class is the same from her Online 101 class, so look at my other post to see what you will have to do. For Online classes, professor D'Argenio hardly checks her ELearning email. She is also very understandable in regards to missing a deadline, even for tests, but don't take advantage of it. This class gives you a break from other classes.
I took this class online in a 5 week format. It took three weeks to get a response and she only answered some of my questions. Essays made up a large portion of the grade for this class. Since, no essays where graded until week four, I couldn't use feedback to improve my future work and grade. Grades were due two days ago, still not posted.
Horrible teacher when it comes to responding to students in her online class. Does not respond to emails for help in any matter. DOES NOT gradepost grades in a timely manner for students to see. Regret taking the class.
One of the easiest history teachers I've ever had, and by "easy" I mean she makes the class and subject loads more fun to learn. I'm taking her for a third time this semester (Western Civ). If you get the chance to take her, DO IT.
I would definitely take RD again she is one of the best teachers I ever had, she actually teaches, makes the class fun and easy to learn. She is hilarious and an awesome lady. Since I currently have her I look forward in trying to take her husbands class. Her test are word for word what she says in class. She makes my 8 am class and debt worth it.
Best professor you can ask for. I wouldn't suggest taking her fully online for your first time however because you may not know how the course is constructed. If you have a f2f with her however you won't regret it. Great teacher.
Literally the nicest, funniest, and easiest to understand professor ever. Assignments are not hard, but do require hard work. The more effort you put in, the better your grade reflects this. She really cares about her students, wants them to pass. The more you talk in class (about relevant things), the better your chances of getting a good grade.
RD is easily one of the best professors I've taken. She's friendly and will not refuse to help you out. As long as you do the work (a few papers and quizzes) and show up and take good notes, you'll do fine. RD is hilarious and keeps her lectures interesting. You won't regret taking her for history.
RD is one of the best professors on campus, she is very easy and clear cut. makes everything very simple and is very understanding of the life of an everyday college student. Strongly advise taking her either in class or online for any history.
She was an amazing professor and will help you when needed.
Great teacher overall, one of my best teachers ever! See u next semester! :)
She might of been my favorite teacher of all time. Hands down one of the most interesting classes I have had. The class discussions are awesome and made my day. She made learning history fun, which can be hard to do since it can be boring with certain teachers. She is somebody I was upset I couldn't take again.
She was probably the best history teacher I have ever had. It was a hybrid western civ II class at 8am and she made it okay to drag my butt out of bed that early. Very funny, very smart, very involved teaching style.
Awesome professor not only does she help you in her class but in anything you need help with throughout your college life experience overall definitely a delight to have !
I had her online course, it was pretty easy. Don't email her directly, use the course messages. She gives a lot of extra credit, there's one for every assignment and for the exams. She gives good feedback, and tells you what to do better on. She's very nice, but there's a lot of reading; pace yourself. Always check announcements and stay posted.
RD is a phenomenal teacher. Everyday she makes sure to have a new topic & usually talks about current events for the first 30 minutes or so. She's really caring & hilarious. You can tell she loves what she does & knows what she's talking about. I'm taking her twice again this semester. Take her! You won't regret it!
The G.O.A.T probably the best professor I have had to date. She is funny, and makes sure you understand everything she is teaching.
Is always there to let you turn work in after the deadline if you really need to Will work with you because she really wants you to pass the courseshe is very nice and adds some humor at times
Mrs. RD is wonderful! She's very funny and extremely insightful. She loves current events and history in general, you can tell she loves her job. Her and her husband teach similarly, so if you've had Mr. D'Argenio expect the course to be parallel to his. The work is easy, and as long as you show up and take the notes you'll get an A.
She is a wonderful professor. She adds her own personal life to make things interesting, especially if they connect to the lesson. The first half hour she has the students talking about what is going on in the world. Would definitely take another class she taught again.
She is a very helpful professor. Not just for the subject, but for anything you need help with.
RD is the best teacher I have ever had. She made my time at RCGC enjoyable and fun. I will miss her! The term assignments are lengthy but not hard. The tests are pretty easy. TAKE HER if you have to take Western CIv I and II. Textbook needed for some test questions and terms.
Class was very easy to pass if you do the work. Very laid-back, and understanding professor. Current events talking portion of the class is very interesting and engaging, also a good way to raise participation grade.
I am taking RD again for Western Civ 101, she is the best!
probably the best teacher in the school.
very good class, very good teacher, she is very understanding and helpful
Easy class
I literally love this teacher. She is laid back, funny as hell, and just makes you enjoy being in class, regardless of the subject. She is fair and fun. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone and I plan on taking any hybrid courses she has to offer!
Ms. RD is straight and to the point, the class passes by quick because of this and she's hilarious! Works with you on everything- would definitely take her class again.
Super nice, but she doesn't play games when it comes to respect. Respect her, and she'll respect you. She is one of the nicest, funniest, kindest people on the face of the earth and will work with you if you need help, provided you work too. Professors like her are rare in this world, and you will miss her when you run out of her classes to take.
Take her, best professor ever
The class is online which is nice, but she makes it so there is little interaction with other students and herself. She opens the whole course up for the whole semester so work at your own pace. however she does NOT grade anything on time and you won't get your grades until after the semester is over. Don't plan to know where you stand all semester
Easiest teacher Ive ever had. Just take notes
This class and the teacher are really fun and funny.
Taking her class only one day a week so attendence is essential for her notes but she makes you want to go to class. She is sweet and energetic even at 8 am. She tells the best stories and still makes history interesting.
I have taken her class three times, she is very funny and there is never any classwork. All written work is done online and there are a total of three assignments across the entire semester and only three or four tests. Class periods are very relaxed and are spent talking about current events followed by a lecture
Makes class entertaining and teaches well. Makes you feel relaxed and doesn't overload you with stuff. Manages to get alot done and teaches alot without overloading a student at all. Sometimes the terms assignments can be hefty at 1st, but once you figure them out, it becomes very easy. totally recommend. I will take her again if possible.
She is one of the best professors I have ever had! Unlike some professors she wants everyone to pass and if you come to class, listen, and take notes, it will be an easy A!
I hate history but she makes it fun. She's super hilarious and gets through so much material in just one class but also has fun during it. Do not skip class because she does cover a lot and you will miss notes; she also does not give her notes out unless she cancels class so befriend someone in the class. Gives extra credit and it weighs heavy
R'D (What she likes to be called) is a gem of a teacher. 3 exams online and 3 terms identification were you write a few sentences about the term and cite the information from your class notes or the textbook. She's hilarious and loud. 10/10 would take again.
best teacher ever!
Definitely one of my favorite professors who I have taken so far and I plan to take her second class in the upcoming semester. For those who love history and hate it she'll make it interesting and entertaining
She knows her stuff.. Very animate but informative. Made class very interesting. The book is easy to read/ comprehend. Glad I bought it, I like the book. Very good history in it. She's flexible. Pick her.
She is in grad school so she understands the workload of college students who are working and going to school full time. Her lectures are to the point, and she tries to make it interesting with off topic convo to ease it a little. No test, online quizzes (answer right in the book) and 3 essays that are spread throughout semester
I had her for four semesters. She makes each class as easy as possible. I greatly enjoyed every course and felt I learned a great deal. She tells funny stories but is able to get back on track and teach. Assignments (either short papers or terms lists) and quizzes/ tests are easy. NO DQS!
Enjoyed every class, She is absolutely amazing!
She is a very nice person but if History isn't your strong suit I wouldn't recommend taking this class. We didn't get through half the material we needed to and the book was used for the assignments heavily.
Loved the class. The professor works with the students to get them to successfully pass. The quizzes were based on the material being currently studied. She made the class and lectures interesting and funny. Great teacher and person overall
RD is AMAZING!!! Super laid-back, and probably the most helpful professor I've had in 3 semesters! No real deadlines for any of her work, and there isn't a ton of work anyway. She lectures, and there are a TON of notes, but that's it. Takes forever to respond to emails, so you're better off talking to her directly after class if you need something.
Mrs. D is a great teacher. I took her History class online, and it was very well structured with eight essays (two due about every few weeks), and four exams. As long as you read the book, and are pretty good at writing papers, you'll do fine!
This professor really knows her history. She gives amazing lectures and does not require a lot of work. Very lenient with due dates. If you are looking for a good easy class, take her.
Great lady and great teacher overall. Took her twice, both 8 ams, and she really started my day off great. She engages a lot in conversation and if you take good notes, you will get an easy A on the term papers (which are open notes). No in-class exams. Would 10/10 take her again if I was required to take any more history classes.
R.D is hott!! Taking her currently, also scheduled her for Spring. Love her humor and knowledge.
She was by far my favorite professor!
RD is a great History teacher, and she is very knowledgeable. Her class assignments are due online ! If I could I would definitely take her again.
One of the most hilarious teachers I have ever had. But since we were slower in the beginning (because we were talking about current events) it really made the end very painful as we cramped in multiple test in only a few classes. She is one of the best teacher ever.
I think this teacher was excellent and very helpful. She was always there when we needed help and I appreciated I a lot.
Always available, treats everyone the same. love what she does
Going into Professor RD's Class, I wasn't the least bit interested in history. Today, I can honestly saying that is no longer true. Professor RD makes coming to class and talking about history enjoyable! She really cares about the subject and you can tell she loves her job. She is a very understanding professor and wants you to succeed!
This professor cares a lot and is passionate about what she is teaching. She is very approachable and will offer help through out the entire semester. I had two essays and ten quizzes, all of which I felt prepared for. I can honestly say I learned something new each week and I looked forward to going at 8AM. I highly recommend taking her class!
Professor RD was my favorite professor that I have ever taken. She is really funny and makes class very enjoyable. She doesn't treat her students like little kids which I really liked. Her stories are the best. I'm not into history, but her class made it more enjoyable to learn about it. I highly recommend taking her!!!
If you take notes on the lectures you will pass this class. RD is such a compassionate professor, she truly wants her students to succeed. She gives extra credit and is very understanding about deadlines when emergencies come up. I not only learned about history, but also about current events going on in the world. I gained a lot from this course!
RD is an amazing professor. She is very understanding and she wants her students to pass. She also gives great feedback on essays. I would love to take another class of hers. I highly recommend her class to anyone.
Great Professor. Cares about her students and wants to help them not only in her class but in other classes. Guides you in the right direction. Very nice and funny. Understands you situation as a college student and will do anything to help. Simple class very clear. 100% Recommend. History is boring, but she makes you laugh and stay interested.
Amazing
This is a great class. She is engaging and very clear on what is required and expected. The dates for assignments are very relaxed. There are papers required but she literally gives you the information word for word in her lectures.
The best prof at RCGC. Lectures are interesting, her personal anecdotes are hilarious, and papers and exams are straightforward. If you're having problems with the college administration, go straight to RD! She'll know how to help you. Her online classes are good, but I HIGHLY recommend taking her in person first to see how she runs her classes.
Very unorganized class, she put 3 different books online and I bought the wrong book and wasted my money. I understand mistakes but she wouldn't respond to any emails and didn't reach out until 2 weeks into the class to tell us the correct book. Extremely disappointed with this online class. Wouldn't post all the modules either and felt rushed.
The professor would not respond to anyone. We only received 6 out of 8 modules. She has not graded anything. We were promised a professor that would answer our questions and my class did not receive that. We only had access to 3 modules and then we were told we had to complete the rest of the modules in one week.
I took this class online this summer and it was absolutely terrible. We were supposed to have 2 discussion questions due each week. The first week she posted 1 and did not post any more until the last week which only gave us 1 1/2 weeks to answer 6 questions and take 3 exams. The entire class reached out to her and she never answered our emails.
His 103 I have emailed 3 times & haven't heard back the entire online session. Submitted since May 14 8 writing assignment essay's but to date still nothing has been graded. I have no clue what needs to be corrected so hoping she grades fairly. Gives extra credit but unless you know if your submitting to her standards why bother doing it.
Took RD in the fall in a lecture class and LOVED HER, so I was excited to take her course online. I am so disappointed to have a negative experience. She has not answered any of my emails or graded any material. There is no communication. You only learn from the textbook, and work load is heavy. Lovely prof in the classroom but DONT take her online
Use the textbook to answer DQ's. She give so much extra credit 5 additional points for each DQ and 2 extra credits for each exam. Leaves grading to the last minute. 3 Exams total and they were mildly difficult but straight from the book. Plus she gives you a lot of time to complete it so expect to use all time given. Overall not to bad of a class
Awesome personality. Very intelligent! Need more professors like her!
Her lectures are based of her lecture notes that she uses. I wasnt interested in History when I first took her class but after taking her class I enjoyed learning about history. She makes it interesting.
Shes funny and lenient with due dates and helpful!! Shes great.
Easily my favorite teacher at RCGC. Shes hilarious and wants to make sure everyone passes her class. Shes definitely the one to go to if you need any assistance on campus and she seems more than happy to help us out! Took this class for a gen ed credit but would love to take one of her classes again in the future!
She's the nicest, funniest teacher ive ever had. She's super easy. Don't procrastinate on the terms though, get them done asap because they are long. She talks for like 45 minutes before actually teaching.
Prof. RD is a really cool instructor and helps get the subject across. She's easy to get off topic if you get her talking, gives extra credit, quizzes are all online, and will help you out outside the classroom. Only thing I didn't care for were the lengthy terms assignments that were due.
Best. Professor. EVER. Great lectures with personal stories that keep the class engaged. Hilarious sense of humour. Do work early so that you don't forget about it. LOVED THE CLASS.
RD is a really cool professor and she's not out for you, she knows that her students have a life outside of the classroom, and she does everything possible to life a little more easier for you. She was a true pleasure and very relatable.
She is one of the BEST professors I have ever had. I would love to have her again!
Professor RD is an awesome professor and person. She is hilarious and tells stories from her life to get the class engaged before lecturing. Her lectures are easy to follow. She is lenient with due dates; if you need extra time or are having trouble with anything, she is there to help you and actually listens and cares.
Heard this professor was great. I was not impressed at all. Took her online class & it was horrible. she waited to grade the " 8 discussion questions" that ended up actually being 4+ page papers until the very end of the semester. She did a lot of critiquing which I would have corrected; if my papers were graded throughout the semester.
I took Mrs. RD my first semester and I just had to take her again she makes coming to class fun and interesting. She gives life lessons and educates us not only about what is in the text book but life lessons and what is going on in the world that effects us. She is very funny and energetic. Great professor I wish I could take more classes of hers.
The professor states there is a 250 word minimum for DQs but double it, add intros and conclusions, and you might get a decent grade. She still has not graded anything since the first few weeks of the semester (the last DQ is due in a few days) and is not responsive out of class. The class is solely based on the textbook.
I heard good things from my friends at RCGC about this professor, but my experience wasn't enjoyable. I love history and the lectures, but most of our classtime was spent on irrelevant conversation and not lecture. Had to use primarily textbook for terms paper. Last few online quizzes were bad, we were unprepared b/c she didnt reach the topics.
I took this professor two semesters in a row, and I enjoyed both of them. She is very excepting of every student and very flexible when it comes to due dates. As long as you do the work, and go to class, you should get a good grade.
The BEST professor I have ever taken at RCGC. She genuinely cares about her students. So easy going and laid back and is ALWAYS willing to help in anyway she can. I did poorly on 3 of my online quizzes and asked professor RD if there was anything I could do to help those grades, she offered to sit with me and retake the quizzes with me. Amazing!!!!
take notes and you'll be fine. RD is hilarious and a total gem, makes it impossible to fail unless you don't do the work at all. Only professor I know who makes an 8am lecture tolerable.
Most of the class is spent talking about nonsense and when she does teach skips through stuff. Tons of terms and they have to be ridiculously long. THE TEXTBOOK IS A MUST. The class depends on the book. She's impossible to reach outside of class. Shes nice and all but I wouldn't recommend unless you want your money thrown down the drain...
Overall Professor Rongione D'Argenio is excellent. She is extremely flexible, she cares about all of her students, and she is very knowledgeable about her subject matter. She cares not only about teaching you, but also you're well being and will help you with anything. One downside is that she is very slow to grade and not responsive to emails.
Professor D'Argenio is such a gem. She made me want to come to class every day. She is very passionate about what she teaches and very knowledgeable in the topics. There are 10 quizzes and 2 really long term assignments that are more tedious than anything but she gives you all semester to work on them. I would definitely take her class again.
I really enjoyed this online class because she gave us 8 modules to do that were all due by the end of the semester. She allowed us to work at our own pace and it was helpful for me as I had assignments in my other courses. Essays were sometimes lengthy and had to write a lot but you're only graded on papers and quizzes.
She wastes most of the class time talking about unrelated topics, shes very nice but some people just weren't meant to teach. Unfortunately this professor is one of them. The entire class relies on the textbook and you can't go without it. Another problem is she impossible to reach outside of class. Good luck if you have her as a teacher
She was super easy and I enjoyed the material. The online schedule was super flexible which I loved. Would totally recommend taking her online class.
I took HIS101 during a winter session. There were a lot of papers to write and quizzes to take in a short amount of time, but it was very doable. The content on which the assignments were based were very interesting. This professor was quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had and always explained how I could improve. highly recommended!
Ok i took HIS104 last spring and heres the thing, she's a great professor, teacher and very personable. However, since she is so friendly, students interrupted lectures to talk about their own life (when no one asked) and that ate up most of class time and it was SO annoying. I'm paying to learn about history not your life story
Great professor.
Professor Rongione is always there for you and is overall amazing. A professor that can make you laugh and can help you with anything thats going on. Her class was simple and the assignments were all easy As
It is possible that my professor is better in person than online, but with that said, I have had absolutely no contact with my professor so far despite many emails over a 2 month period, and have received no actual teaching. Simply read the textbook, complete the essays. She doesn't answer questions and does not send you any videos or lectures.
Dont procrastinate on your work. You have to read a lot and do 8 modules plus the tests. Shes a very lenient professor but dont procrastinate. Youll regret it.
Professor D'Argenio is amazing ! I am so glad I had the opportunity to have her twice for 2 of my history classes . very humbled nice and down to earth. definitely cares about her students and wants everyone to succeed. I would take her a third time if I needed to. she's one of the best. take her class
So I'm currently taking this professor for the Summer 2021 Year. Now, This professor does reply very slowly to emails which is fine she's very easy on due dates. However, The only thing I dislike is that she MAKES you get the textbook. I took this class for only a month and I don't want to waste money on a book I'll use for two weeks but it's fine
Professor DArgenio gave online students free reign and told us that all the work was due by July 20, helping our schedules become very flexible. it was hard to get used to, but as long as you read her posts, grading criteria, and lectures/notes - along with the textbook - youll be fine. easy to reach and responds to your work honestly. very nice!
Best Professor Every!! She makes class fun and is very entertaining! Her life storys are the best and she cancelled class about 5 times throughout the semester. She also gives you independent days off. The material is easy and all you have to do is take good notes
Had a lot of papers to write in a short amount of time. So much so it has been a week since class ended and still havent received grades yet. If it takes a week after class to go through and grade this work the structure for the course needs to be re evaluated for a 5 week course.
This was my first time taking a course fully online, but this professor made things so easy. They had everything very organized, helped me anytime I reached out to them, and constantly gave me feedback on each essay so that I could do better the next time. Truly one of my most pleasant classes this semester.
A really good and easy history class! The professor taught in forms of notes and requiring chapter reading (however you can easily pass the class with an A from the notes alone), with quizzes and essays being the work done. The quizzes were pretty easy as long as you studied the notes, and the essays were also pretty easy. Overall great class!
The online class is a blessing. Everything is due at the end of the semester, and the course work is just an essay per module (there's 8) and three multiple choice exams. If you plan your time wisely, it's an easy class. That doesn't mean you don't learn anything, though, as the essays require reading from the textbook- which you can rent for cheap
Overall, this class was very easy to follow and the professor was super nice! clear workload from the start of class, and you are given a long time to work on and finish it. Highly recommend doing the work in increments and not saving it for the end of the semester. She also offers extra credit!
First of all, I got a 99 in this class, so you know I am not biased. The CLASS is extremely easy. 8 essays with a 500-word minimum, and 3 multiple choice exams that you get 2 attempts at. That's literally the whole class. The PROFESSOR, however, does not check her email. If you have a question, prepare to wait a month for the answer. Literally.
I would never take this prof again She never once responded to an email She waiting until the last week of class to grade things. She never gave feedback or explained how to do better after she gives you a bad grade/ She put in minimal effort and it was painfully clear through out the entire course She is an insanely strict grader. Hated this class
Good Professor. I like how she had it so we could turn in work whenever up until a date near the end of semester. Would be a 5 star rating however I did not hear back from her the one time I emailed her with a question.
Perfect for a flexible class. All of the work that needed to be done was only required to be in a week or two before the end of the semester. The professor also extended that due date for another week. Only complaint is that it said in the syllabus to expect your paper graded one or two weeks after submitted and that didn't seem to be the case.
One of the most transparent professors you'll ever meet. She's straightforward and no bs. The lectures were pretty important to go, I only ever used the textbook for 2 essays. She's also a great connection to make as a student since she is very involved with other professors and can give you advice and help you with other aspects of your classes
Class is pretty straightforward. 8 quizzes, 8 essays. Grades extremely tough on essays. Wouldnt take again.
Really nice teacher, cares about students
Very unclear, unhelpful, and inconsistent grading on essays. In addition to her deplorable grading style, this instructor takes an incredibly long time to grade assignments. Would never take a course by this professor again. I would advise for anyone to avoid at all costs.
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio is very understanding and caring. She responds quickly to address students' questions and concerns. She is beyond AWESOME!! And she goes above and beyond for all her students.
I just completed the online course and I thought the class and the professor were great! The modules were clear on what the professor expected and a lot of reading is required. The class consisted of 8 essays and 8 quizzes and we didn't have weekly due dates. She also gave me great feedback on each essay with ways to improve my writing skills.
This was my first college class while being in high school. The work was not too much and liked the material.
This professor was a fairly easy grader and gave clear instructions on what was needed within the 8 essays. Her notes and lecture papers were useful as they provided exactly what the essays need. Since it was a 'your own pace' class, I did most of the work by the end of the semester and still scored well. I would take her class again.
Professor Rongione was my all time favorite teacher. I took this class as a junior in high school and her work is extremely easy. I love the way she teaches and she is very laid back. The only homework we have is 2 essays and quizzes throughout the semester! I am taking her again this spring
The best basically!!!!
I took 2 online classes with this professor. I really appreciate the flexibility of due dates. She respects and understands that sometimes students need to work on their timeline due to outside responsibilities-work, families, etc.
I took history of the United States online this semester and this class (history being my least favorite subject and something struggle with) was one of my least stressful! There was no real due dates each paper and quiz were posted with *fake* due dates you could complete them at anytime during the semester, 1 per week plus optional extra credit
This professor is unlike any professor. If you have a sense of humor, you'll enjoy her as much as I did. All due dates are due the week before the semester ends which gives a lot of flexibility. She starts her class talking about current events and some sort of hilarious story, then lectures the rest of the time. Definitely recommend her.
The professor is easy going and wants her students to have fun and learn important things. Although, if you are someone who likes order and schedules, I would suggest on getting a different professor.
Allows for a good environment in the class. She is mindful of her students and provides a flexible schedule.
She's a nature teacher who tells stories a lot and is not too big on attendance though she gave our class extra credit for showing up (not sure if it's the case for all her classes). The notes are online if you miss anything! Just do the work and you'll be fine! :)
Amazing professor. Engaging and interesting lectures and teaching style. Gives flexibility along with very informative instruction. Can tell she truly cares about teaching.
Professor Rongione is a great teacher! Her class lectures are clear to understand, and she provides examples that are useful for a better understanding. The lecture notes provided in this course are very helpful to use when studying for quizzes. Professor Rongione is very flexible when it comes to assignments and due dates.
Very nice and understandable and will make class interesting.
By far my funniest and most laid back teacher. Assignments and lessons that are given are straight forward.
Professor Rongione is very straightforward, and uncomplicated. Her classes are very informative, and she makes things easy to understand. Would 100% take one of her course again.
I went into this class not liking history. But it quickly became my favorite class I had in that semester. It was always fun, and she made it very easy to understand. 10/10 experience.
This semester's my second with her as my professor and both courses I took were very good. Instructions for all of our work were very thorough and clear, History's my favorite subject so I would probably find the content interesting regardless but her explanations are clear and helped my to fully grasp it much quicker than I otherwise might have.
The class has a positive energy to it and makes historical figures seem human and relatable, making the material easier to understand. Everyone's encouraged to participate, each class is opened with a genuine concern for how everyone's doing, and the lecture is spoken slowly so everyone can keep up writing their notes and ask questions.
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio was a great professor. I took the online class and she posted lectures each week to listen to in order to help complete assignments on MindTap. I would take her again in nay future language classes I may need.
Honesty I'm shocked that they are so many positive reviews. I know that everyone has different experiences, so I will be honest about mine. The work in her class is very easy, and she is laid back, however her teaching method is messy ,unorganized, and unprofessional. She also spends half of the lecture period talking about unrelated topics.
AMAZING teacher, for an 8am class in Western Civ II, she is possibly the best teacher to start your day off w/. She keeps the class awake & invested with her personality. I found myself going out of my way to be on time to this class. Provides a comfortable learning space & flexible due dates are a life saver. very helpful w academic advice as well
For notes, she just talks and you write down what you can. no ppt slides. For history 102, we literally only had two essays and a bunch of online quizzes no other assignments All the answers are online for the quizzes, she says it herself. The essays you do in class and she pretty much tells you exactly what to write. she's so funny, and very nice
I have this professor for an online class in which you can move at your own pace to complete. Instruction is clear and direct. Feedback is precise and helps students to improve on their next papers. Notes are very detailed and Professor Rongione-D'Argenio's passion for History is clear in everything she does.
I would take Prof. Rongiome again and again. I love her enthusiasm and this is my passion also. So glad she is on staff as she is a great role model for me.
You have the opportunity to pace yourself when it comes to all work for this course... pace yourself! You can wait till the end but don't.
If you prefer a self-paced course, this is perfect for you. I personally loved it. It involved a lot of reading. All modules had the same format, which made it easy to plan and create a rhythm. Lots of reading. I learned a lot.
Ms. Rongione cares much about history, as well as the people around her. She is very spontaneous but will get us on track when needed. If you are looking for a professor who will not make you bored and will care about your well being, she is for you.
When I first started in Professors Rongione Class I told her that I had a hard time understanding history. She told me that she hopes that she can make her class easy to follow along and it very much was. She cares about your success and her due date assignments are very flexible. I love this teacher!
Professor RD was an amazing history teacher. She went into detail about questions you have and is very laxed with due dates. I would recommend her to anyone, she is willing to work with you.
Professor Rongione was a very pleasant teacher to have. We not only talked about history, but about current events and how our lessons apply to the world we have today. This was very intruiging and useful to make sense of the information. She was also very understanding and gave me good advice when I was nervous for another class.
best course Ive ever taken online, super laid back and easy going. This teacher wants you to learn!
I took this class since it was required, but it was not a class I dreaded. This professor made it very clear while in the class that she cared about us more as people than she did us doing our work perfect, helping us with what we needed at the moment. I appreciated how easy and chill the class was :)
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio is a wonderful teacher. This is the 2nd class of hers that I took on line. She gives extremely helpful feedback when grading your papers so you can work on perfecting your paper for the next submission. You work at your own pace which is nice. I would highly recommend signing up to take any class that she teaches.
an amazing professor she was very helpful and very leniant towards turning in late work. I would totally take another class with her she is a very funny and caring professor.
I am sure she is amazing in person, but as an online course I did not enjoy this class. The entire course was outlined on the first day. She allowed you to work at your own pace and turn things in whenever you want. Many essays had to be written, and essays were also used for extra credit. There was a lot of reading and essay writing.
This teacher is amazing. I've never seen such lenient deadlines, and even with that they were extended.
The professor is very good at teaching the material and is very good at explaining what needs to be explained. She's very enjoyable and very flexible. Definitely would take this course again!!
Being an online course with zero meets or interactions with the teacher outside of personal emails, it would be easy to write this class off as an afterthought. But it is certainly not. Everything needed to answer the assignments is where it needs to be and easily accessible, the teacher provides feedback on essays and is a fair grader.
She offers extra credit and the quizzes that are required can be retaken.
I want new student to know she is always available is you stalk on a certain topic to help you understand the concept, she is one email away from helping you out.
Her online classes are very straight forward: 8 modules that consisted of 8 essays, 3 open-book exams that can be retaken, & extra credit. Self-paced. Provides good feedback. One area of improvement could be in interesting videos and articles could be posted to enhance the learning experience because just reading history out of textbook is dry.
She's a great professor who grades fairly.
This is your professor if you want an easy A. I only had four assignments and from the start of the semester, every single piece of notes are online and the textbook was found on an easy PDF so don't waste your money.
She made this semester easy. Picking up an extra class in the winter is never easy for a college student between work, family, and other responsibilities. She made the work schedule extremely flexible and I am thankful for that!
The class was not difficult just time consuming. If you can manage a simple schedule, the class would be simple for you. It was a bit of a stretch for a winter course, but it was doable nonetheless.
Straight forward expectations and flexible timeframes. Expect to write, but not difficult if you follow her tips. Will take again.
Professor RD is understanding and accommodating. Expectations are clear and the course is set up for student success. Due dates are flexible and extra credit opportunities are available. This course is great for students who like to work at their own pace, like knowing what to expect each week, or schedules that do not fit a typical college course.
This is my second time taking a history course with this professor. What is expected is very clear and made known way in advance. Every week expect a quiz and a 500-word essay on the text. But there are no set due dates so you can pretty much work on the course in your own time. She does provide a rough timeline if you feel you need it.
Well engineered virtual class, a rare gem. Lots of papers and quizzes which will keep you busy but not ruin your life.
I have really enjoyed taking this class this semester! I took this class fully online, and my only downside is that I did not receive any response to emails that I sent, but luckily all of the information is online, so I was able to figure it out. I like how we can go at our own pace and complete assignments as they fit into our schedules.
A great online course that can be done at your own pace for the most part. Each module has an essay, quiz, and extra credit.
For my online class, the professor shows clear consideration for students with lax due dates and fair grading policies. If a student is able to take a simple test and write a short essay weekly on the textbook's content, they should have no issue passing the class with a solid grade. Manage your time wisely, however. Nice class.
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio goes above and beyond to make the online course of History 101 accessible and engaging for students with tough work schedules. This means that as a full-time teacher and new parent, I did not feel stressed engaging with the class or making deadlines even during state testing season!
This professor awesome and I hope to have her again in the future for another class.
She was an amazing professor, she understood that everyone has different schedules and allowed assignments to be done on our time. She posted helpful things about why taking a history class is important and why it is good to know history. Her assignments were extremely bearable and instructions were clear!! Great professor!
Professor was a super nice lady, lots of engaging stories. Unfortunately, she rarely showed for class. I understand having family emergencies, but only showing up for six classes all semester is unacceptable for the amount of money I paid for an in-person class. Maybe that works fine for other people, but it doesn't for me.
I have taken this professor's class online and hybrid. Online was 8 essays and eight quizzes. In-person was one class a week, attendance was not recorded, 10 quizzes and 2 essays. Essays were basically written in classes.
I liked the structure of this class. The assignments all had the same very clear deadline and it gave me ample time to complete the work and as much extra credit as I wanted. Would take this professor again!
She made my last semester at RCSJ better. She genuinely cares about her students, and she's incredibly accommodating. I was struggling mentally throughout my last semester at this school, and she ended up stopping mid lecture to ask me if I was okay. She's also really fun, and always challenged my thinking (in a good way). Take her class!
Took Western Civ II 5 week online class with Professor D'Argenio She gives extra credit as well I would take her again in a heartbeat. She lets the students do the work at their own pace as long as you submit your assignments by the due date. Overall she gives great feedback on your assignments to help you improve better for your writing skills.
I liked the course enough, as I was able to use the readings to help with the essays and quizzes. And even if I didn't talk with the professor face to face, she was still able to be counted on.
I took History of Western Civilization and this professor was excellent, given that it was an intensive course much shorter than a usual class. There's a paper per module, which can be a bit stressful when each module is condensed into a three day limit. However, the schedule is flexible. The papers are easy, the quizzes are straightforward.
Professors class was very hard. Like how she let you do the work on your own pace, but there was so much work in such a short amount of time. She is also a very tough grader. 4 week online summer course, 8 quizzes, 8 (good length) essays and extra credit included another 8 essays.
Professor gives lots of helpful feedback on every single essay. I go to UConn and took this a summer course. There were 8 essays and 8 quizzes. As long as you manage time decently, you should be fine.
Quizzes can be done over and over until you get the best possible grade, and by writing complete, well thought out essays, I got a grade of all 100's in a four or five week intensive course. There's a quiz and essay every module, but it's really easy to achieve good grades. However, she doesn't grade anything until the end of the course.
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio's course was awesome to take. It was super easy as long as you stay on top of your work. She made this all assignments for this course due on one date which was super helpful for me. She was awesome and I would definitely take again.
My favorite class in college so far! She is super nice and down to earth. You can talk to her about literally anything and she will help you with what ever you need. The lectures are super fun and comedic. There is no inclass work. All the work is due at the end of the semester which allows you to do it at your own pace. Would take this class again
if you are looking for an easy class just to get an easy A take her, she doesnt have due dates until basically the week before the semester ends. she cancels class ALL the time which is annoying, because you paid for in person. plus she says really out of pocket stuff, has very clear bias and projects that onto lessons. wouldn't recommend!
There are 8 quizzes and 8 essays. I like that you can work at your pace, and everything is due by the end of the semester. The problem is she does not grade anything, so you have no idea how you are doing and if you need to make changes for future essays. No response to emails either. Semester done and still nothing graded!
Professor was really nice but cancelled class a ton of time, and did not get through all of the material by the end of the semester. Shes very nice and caring but I did not feel like I learned too much in this class.
my favorite professor at RCSJ. she's fantastic. very down to earth and funny. all you need to do for this class is to just show up and take notes. with the lectures, she gives all the information you need for the quizzes and essays. i didn't have to touch my textbook once. the quizzes and essays can be resubmitted as many times as you need.
One test and one essay per two weeks of class. No lectures - all information must be read from the textbook, which is lengthy. Professor does not grade any of the essays until the semester is over. Not contactable during the semester, and grading was very tough compared to other professors - especially since feedback was not given until the end.
This was my second time taking one of her history courses and I would do it again. The syllabus gives a clear guide of what to expect, she gives thorough feedback, plus a lot of opportunities for extra credit.
Professor Rongione-D'Argenio is the professor I look for when selecting online classes at RCSJ. Why? Because not only is the content engaging, but she is flexible with the submissions; as a teacher and parent, flexibility in submission dates is key for me, as all it takes is a bad day at work or my son being ill to ruin a fixed deadline.
This was my first class back in a few years, and Professor D'Argenio had a good course put together. It was a subject I enjoyed and she was kind enough to extend the submission deadline on all materials by a few days, easing any stress that any students had. Overall, I enjoyed the course.
The professor allows flexible pacing, but the workload can be intense with 8 essays and 8 quizzes. Unstuckstudy AI was a lifesaver for prepping and managing my time. Overall, a challenging but rewarding course.
Took the 7-wk online accelerated course(independent study). Only assignments are 8 essays (1-2 pages long) each summarizing 2-3 chapters of textbook. All are due by end of semester (work at own pace). Follow syllabus and it's 1 essay per week. Chapters are long, but she gives notes for every chapter that are thorough. Wish I took 15-wk version.
Easy course. Professor is hard to reach, expect no response. 8 essays 8 quizzes, the reading aspect of it all was a bit draining. I like that you can go at your own pace and theres 8 chances for extra credit, however all extra credits are essays so just try to give your best essay the first time. Still missing grades at the end of the semester.
Professor Gina Rongione-D'argenio is a well respected teacher at RCSJ, however, do not take her online courses. She does not respond to emails, she gave me a zero on an essay and never fixed my grade after 5+ emails, and she forgot to upload important coursework until about a week into the class. however, She did give great notes for easy quizzes.
She didn't answer emails the first twoweeks of the course and never opened the quizzes that were due weekly with each essay. She sent out an email but just opened the quizzes and said nothing else. This made everyone twoweeks behind on quizzes while still having to do 8 essays in the short course.Lots of work with no guidance from professor.Dont take
Does not grade anything before class endsSubmitted a paper during first week of class and still have no grade for it (Four week class) She says"Students should assume there will be a minimum of seven days between the date an assignment is submitted and the date on which they receive a grade Which is VERY untrue Class is over and have 0 essay grades
Was 'sick' the first 2 weeks of class, and didn't post any of the work for us to start, but did not give us an extension until the very last day, where she gave us one day extension. 8 essays and 8 quizzes, while I was doing 4 other classes.
does not answer emails or messages. does not provide any feedback with any grading. grading is not completed until the end of the semester so any potential feedback is not useful. feedback that is given is generic and not specific to your actual essay.
She does not reply to emails. It has currently been 2 days since semester has ended and NONE of my grades have been graded. She is cool, calm in person, but she is NOT reliable at all. Has terms due that are annoying, and you get 0 feedback. This is the most stressful class because of the literally lack of communication.
