This is by far the best Instructor you will ever have. I took her for Math 97, 98 and Math 1111. I will also take her for Statistics. I used to hate Math until I met this wonderful lady. She loves her students and does anything to help when possible.

I hated math until I had a teacher like Ms. Powell. She helps you remove your fear of math. If you failed any of her classes that means you did not care to pass. Ms. Powell will come in early or stay late just to help her students.

Ms. Powell is the best math teacher. I have been out of school for 14 years and I hate math. For the first time I like math and received a very high grade because of her teaching style. I also like that you can do the homework if you want to because she does not collect it.

This teacher is wonderful. She will go over everything. The directions in the book are complicated, but she puts it in layman term

Ms.Powell is an excellent teacher and helps everyone aquire the information-young and old. She understands that math is not the easiest subject and can be challenging at times. She won't proceed with her teachings until everyone has retained the info. And that to me makes an excellent teacher!!!!!!!

Mrs. Powell is great, some might thinnk that she moves in a fast pace, but if you come to her class you will move right along. Do the homework although she does go over it in class. Once you have a test she grades the test and gives it back to you that same class period. If you fail her class its b/c you suck. An excellent teacher

I just love my ginny-gin-gin, she's excellent and down to business when teaching, that's because she wants you to GET IT! I enjoyed her teaching even though summer classes are quick and to the point,but she at least makes sure you get the point before moving on. She's willing to come early, stay late or whatever it takes to help you. Go, Ginny!

Ms. Powell is the BOMB! You will have to be an idiot not to understand her. She teaches at a great pace and she will help you in anyway. Tests are open book and open notes. No tricks in this class, her tests are just like her study guides. I love this lady. Take her for all your math!!!!!

I love this lady!! She made everything understandable w/o unnecessary complications. Let us have open notebook tests. I made a 100.40 in her class and I hardly even tried. Like she said, you have to try hard to fail her class!

When I was taking her fall 07 I was already thinking that this was going to be a long semester but she made it soo easy that I passed with a C. I had never passed a math class with a C. She is a tremendous teacher to have. She breaks it down to you on your level, most teachers don't do that. I would recommend her to anybody struggling with math.

She can relate 2 the student's frustrations in math because she use 2 battle with those same frustrations with an evil math teacher. Her class is great & you don't have to buy a textbook! Ginny is hyper-tolerant of people who aren't confident in math. She made me feel comfortable and I slowly became less convinced that I was going to fail spectacularly. She makes herself very available to answer questions and offer assistance. Not for math whizzes! Great for ppl who struggle with math courses. You'll fail if try really hard.

AMAZING professor. I took her class (statistics) without knowing what to expect and knowing that I wasn't extremely good in math. A semester later I got an A and learned SO much. She explains everything and will go over anything if someone doesn't understand. Definitely reccomend her. A++

Mrs. Powell is the "QUEEN" of math. I can not see myself taking anyone else. She loves what she does and she is very compassionate. All you have to do is study, if you need help go see her and she will be there for you{office hrs.}, so make good use of it. I will continue with her through all my math. Excellent teacher. Deffo worth a trip from other campuses. Her instruction is as clear as an azure sky of deepest summer. Participation=daily grade. 3 exams plus final. Between class and notes posted online, failure/less than an A is an conscious choice.

Too easy, it is impossible to fail this class. All the work is done on the calculator, notes are always posted online with detailed explanation. 4 exams (use notes on the last 3 exams) and a project. NO HOMEWORK!!! She gives you a list of problems to do for more practice but its optional, you can still get an "A" without doing them. NO BOOK!!!!!!

Mrs. Powell is an amazing teacher! First of all, NO TEXTBOOK and homework is only optional. She allows us to use our notes for exams and she posts notes on i college. There's 1 project, 3-4 exams, 1 final. Quizzes throughout the semester are unlimited chances also. Amazing teacher! Would definitely take her again!

This professor is great. She really teaches the material until she knows we understand it. There are many extra credit opportunities on the 4 exams. There is only one paper assigned. Don't miss class, she does grade attendance. Great professor.

Only bad critic I have is that whatever math class is a prequisite to the one you're taking you better know it because she will constantly say "I don't know what you're doing here" almost condescending like, Very Annoying. Other than that amazing teacher. Had her summer 2019. Wish I could take her for every math class.

Shes the best teacher for statistics. Its not that statistics is easy, its that she teaches it so well that you actually learn. Take her if you really want to learn, you will not be disappointed. The best teacher ever!!

Took her online and she was a pretty good teacher and responds to emails fast. She posts slides and expects you to teach yourself but the material isn't that hard to understand although there is a lot of HW. She provides study guides for every test which are very similar and helpful. I was never good at math but she made this class easy.

You do have a lot of homework in this class, but I feel like that is a given with any math class. I am not a strong math student and got an A in her class. As long as you try and do all of your assignments, it is hard not to do well in her class.

Summer 2021 Online course. Except for weekly discussions, all work was due at end of semester. Prof. was really responsive and stuck to the schedule and syllabus. Course and resources very navigable.

Professor Powell is great, but you must be able to teach yourself because you must study through slides. You come to class daily, but she won't teach - only go through your homework. But her tests have a lot of extra credits. I recommend taking her in person. Ask questions, or else you won't understand.
