Very good teacher. Fun and interesting class. However, if you do not have the intention of becoming a police officer, then this isn't the class for you. He pretty much stays with the officer side of things. Has lots of stories and is a fu guy. You rock Hliebay!

Professor Hliebay was awesome! He gives you all the questions prior to the exam that will be on it. There are 2 oral presentations which he grades very easily--no need to stress out about them. Very pleasant to be around, always enjoyed going to class. Always willing to help his students and wants them to do well!

GREAT TEACHER very SMART makes learning easy & fun He is always available for help if you need it I love his style of teaching I just wish he taught more classes He only teaches 2 classes if you need them take his. If you are not a career minded and focused student dont bother.Geno will go above and beyond.There is an oral presentation.Your grade will depend on you and your work performance.I got an A its not impossible.

Gino is one of the best professors at Macomb. His teaching style is awesome, since he has alot of experience in the law enforcement field he has great advise and stories. Hes always willing to help and answer questions if you ask, and hes easy going. If you do all of your assignments, go to class, and pay attention you will get a good grade.

Had Professor Hliebay for LAWE-2914, Police Leadership/Management & Supervision. His teaching style is one of the best. He has a lot of experience in the law enforcement field. He teaches you the role of Leadership. If you do all of your assignments, go to class on time, and pay attention you will get a good grade. We need more professors like him.

This class does not only relate to police leadership, mgt,and supervision but to all fields of leadership/mgt. The class is taught by discussing real life scenarios/situations rather then using the textbook. Teacher definetly goes outside the box of the general guidelines for this course. Great teacher,learned alot of useful information from him

This was my 4th law enforcement class at Macomb. Gino is by far the best professor I've had. He's professional, extremely patriotic, knowledgeable, and has a strong presence in the classroom. He was enthusiastic and kept us entertained. He expects you to be on time and respectful of the classroom. I look forward to taking more classes with him.

I took Gino's Police Functions class in the Spring of 2011 and I will say with the utmost conviction, that his class was absolutely amazing! He is through, kind, and his lectures are fun, upbeat and interesting. I definitely recommend him to anyone considering taking a law class as I will be looking forward to attending further classes of his :)

Gino has to be one of the best teacher's I have ever had the privilege of learning from. He is patriotic, positive, motivational, sensitive, and above all a true leader! He pushes you to be the best, and too go above and beyond your performance level in school. His experiences is prestige and is someone I will remember well into my police career!

He is very positive and upbeat, for course assignments there are questions from the book (which aren?t hard) and labs which aren?t bad but if you have any trouble he will help you. he gives you what?s on the final the first day.

GREAT instructor!!! You have got to be an idiot in order to not do well in any of his class. He not only teaches by the book, but by personal real life experience also. Show up for class and pay attention! He's one of those instructors, that if you pay attention, you don't need to study for anything because he's so so so good at what he teach.

The most down to earth and inspirational teacher I have ever had. I am prior military and very patriotic just like him and there wasn't a day I didn't tear up in his class because of something amazing he showed us. As long as you are in class, pay attention, and do the work, you will get an A. I only wish he had more classes for me to take.

By far my FAVORITE professor. There's not one bad thing to say about this class or Gino. He has inspired me in many ways and I always feel better after leaving his class each day!

Best teacher I have had so far at Macomb, very supportive and all together a nice guy. He will help students succeed. I recommend if you're going into Law Enforcement you take as many classes with him as you can. ADDED BONUS: his face and smile are just a joy to look at. In my entire life, he is BY FAR the most fantastic teacher I've ever had. He makes me genuinely want to be in class every day. Awesome professor, I have had him for 3 classes and he was great in all of them. exams are mostly memorization, not difficult though unless you do not come to class. Everything is based off the lecture or labs. labs are a lot of fun you are in groups of two and will do most labs together. Also there is one presentation based off a CSI you decide.

Great teacher that is extremely experienced in the subject matter. If he brings up things in class he doesn't expect you to blindly agree. He takes differing opinions on subject matter. Show up to class, follow directions, turn things in on time. Do these things and you will pass. All around friendly guy.

I have only had one class with Gino and it was by far one of my favorites. He clearly displays a passion for training students the correct way to process a crime scene. He uses a wide variety of teaching methods so he isn't boring either. As long as you show up and put the work in, you can get an A.
