Great professor!!! She explains everything and is always willing to answer questions (using some sarcasm) She is very helpfull. Definitely recommend her for business stats.

Awesome teacher, always prepared. Her English pronounciation and grammar are not perfect but she tries really hard to overcome. She is an expert in her subject andd is willing to help. Whatever you do don't piss her off. I wish all teachers were as good as her.
Great teacher. Takes time to explain things thoroughly and helps you personally with problems in class. Also shows flexibilty in grading.
She's one of the best math teachers that I have ever had, She explained things in such a way that you understand everything. I would definetly take another math course with her.
Oh, this teacher is the best! her English is not great, but u will be able to understand everything she says, plus she is extremely fair when grading! One of the best Stats Teachers in FIU, take her and u'll pass for sure!
TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! This professor is so good at explaining and teaching!! All you have to do is go to class and theres no reason why you shouldnt get an A. Her english isnt so great but understandable even if u dont speak spanish cause i dont and i understood very well. The best Math professor ive had yet!!!!
Although I’m horrible in math, I understood everything. The best math teacher I have had at FIU. If you need this class, take her!
The best math teacher I've ever had at FIU she has an accent just like every math teacher at FIU... But hers you can actually understand If u attend class and pay attention to her lessons she makes it easy.
HEY! this teacher is truly GREAT....she exlpains everything well and helps us understand math. i had flunked this class last semester when i had another prof but now that i have this prof i've gotten all A's on my exams! =o) i reccommend this teacher to EVERYONE! I actually understand math and like it.
She is a very nice lady. Explains every thing to a detail and does a million example problems to make sure you understand how to do it. Very helpful. Tests are easy as long as you study.
She is a good teacher but can be difficult at times. But in all I liked her, I just hate math. She explains things well.
Pretty good professor. Explains everything very thoroughly and is open to questions. Her tests are on the easy side and she gets grades back to you quickly.
i hate anything that has to do with math so any class like this would be difficult for me but going to class helped alot. she explains everything very well. has an accent but not enough that you wont be able understand her. probably one of the better math teachers at fiu
She's really a great teacher that actually cares if you learn, a rare commodity here at F.I.U. It's easy to pass if you go to class and put forth a decent effort.
Awesome teacher.. u really learn with her.. The accent is a problem but she's the best teacher I've had at FIU
She is good but tricky on tests.
she is a great teacher. i passed with a B. her tests can be a bit difficult if you miss class. but if you take good notes and don't miss class you'll pass no problem. just be sure to study.
This teacher is awesome! She takes her time teaching and makes sure everyone understands before going into new material. She lets you use the formulas for the tests.
. AWesome, awesome, awesome professor. I loved her. clear, to the point, ver very funny (blunt, clear and will make you feel stupid in a kind way-she, does in class examples and if do something wrong she will say it out loud embarassing but funny. gives quizzes like test and if u study the test are easy. great class, awesome professor, very good.
she's nice and approachable. the class is not hard, but u have to go, because the way she explains the subject is very good. if u skip, u might get lost. love her class, she might scare u off with the way she talks (like if she's mad).if you go to class, take notes, and review her handouts before the quizzes and tests, ur good. i really recommend h
Great Teacher. Clear and Understanding. If I can get a B, then You guys can ACE it!!!! best STATS professor at FIU...And trust me Ive had a lot of em!
By far the best statistics teacher in FIU. Highly recommend her. Explains thigns really well and makes class interesting to go to. Statistics to me previously had been a painful experience but this teacher really makes it an easy subject. Wish she teached some other course in FIU cuz I would definetly take her again.
don't even need the book. just go to class and she explains everything you need to know for te test. she also gives you a homework handout and in the make shows you how to work each problem out. do the problems and you'll pass the test easily. quizzes can get a little confusing but they don't really count much
GREAT PROFESSOR!!!! Attend class and take good notes. She will help you whenever she can and will repeat the information until you understand. She is very approachable. Excellent class and teacher. I highly recommend her.
Only one word: HORRIBLE!!!
To begin, the class is not such a piece of cake. You really need to pay attention and practice the problems many times. She is a very nice professor and actually comes around to see if you are working out the problem correctly. Her notes are thorough, although the quizzes throw you off a bit, but you can always bounce back on the tests! Take her!
Great professor, is very clear and helpful if you have any questions. She gives 3 quizzes and 2 computer assignments, and you can drop your lowest score. Other than that, only four tests and the final. Strongly recommend her class, best stats prof i've had.
The best math teacher I have had in FIU! I definitley reccommend her. She provides enough information to study from and receive an A!!
Let's face it, Stats is NOT fun! After 1/2 the class dropped like every other stats class, the rest of us tuffed it out. Muniz is one of the better stats teachers, you have a fighting chance. Got a B, I was pleased. Final was tough. I would recommend her knowing what I know about the other teachers.
She is one of the best professors ever!! she gives out these handouts with solved problems and all you need to do is go over them to do well..i didnt even touch the text
RUN. FOR. THE. HILLS.
She's a litlle hard to understand but better than any other spanish proffesor that i've had.
She's a good professor, although she may come off a bit loud. But she's very helpful if you have any questions about the material, she gives you a formula sheet that you can use for the tests. But as long as you study and do the homework problems she gives you, you'll do good for sure.
her class is hard, she yells randomly. Her exams are impossible compared to what you learn in class. Everything is off and she goes without stopping to help or further explain. The English is not so good, so following is VERY difficult.
This teacher is great. Well versed in her field. Make sure you learn. Although, attendance is not mandatory, it is quite helpful because she doesn't really teach from the book...ever. buying the book is a waste, just get yourself the tables needed. My GF loves the necklaces she wares... lol, not really into topic but if you get bored, they're shiny
Prof. Muniz is nice and knowledgeable. Don't buy the book, you just need the tables in it so just make copies. She gives EXTREMELY HELPFUL REVIEWS and no need to memorize formulas. She is really willing to help. Studying definitely helps since its not an easy A. I got a A- but I studied for every test. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
As a person, you can tell she is very sweet. Stats is really easy and she is great at teaching it. Like people have said DO NOT get the book..she is such a good teacher you don't need it. Just its tables. I took this class in summer when we had to fly through material really fast, but still pulled off an A. She has an accent, but it's not too bad.
Funny little lady. Super nice. Easy teaching method. Come to class, take notes, ask questions, do homework, guaranteed at LEAST a B. I got a B only because I bombed one test from not studying.
great teacher!. if you come to the class, and study a little you'll pass 4 sure! in the tests and quizes she puts the same problems that she explained in class or the ones on the review. I REALLY RECOMEND! if u want 2 learn... if you are just looking for an essay A, take another teacher. = )
she's a great teacher and really cares about her students. she knows it isn't the easiest subject but she really tries to help out if she sees that you're trying. def. should show up everyday or else you'll get lost and forced to study straight from the book. if i ever had to take another stat class (god forbid) i'd take it with her
Alright..Where shall i begin? Here it goes: She Screams when she speaks,it looks like she is angry when she is teaching u. If u raise your hand to ask a question she will make you feel stupid and yell a little more. More over, Her English is terrible. Lastly, what she teaches and gives for homework is not on her test. Take my ADVICE!NOT THE OTHERS
She is great, sure she yells and makes you feel dumb, but she explains excellently and is the best stats teacher on the planet. take her go to class you'll learn you'll pass.
professor muniz is the best!! sure she has an accent but you can understand her.she is loud but thats not a problem. she breaks down the material step by step. you dont need the book, she writes everything you will need to know on the board and gives handouts before tests and quizes that are very helpfull. if you pay attention in class you get an A
She such a good professor, everything she teaches is helpful. What she teaches is not exactly what is on the test but she has a study guide that cant mimic the exam any better.Everything is on the study guide plus she give you the answers with it. Really take her AND DON'T buy the book trust me i bought because i didn't believe the rating but reall
She such a good professor. What she teaches is not exactly what is on the test but she has a study guide that cant mimic the exam any better.Everything is it plus she give you the answers with it. Really take her AND DON'T buy the book trust me i bought because i didn't believe the rating but really she never looks or dose anything from it. :)
Overall very good professor. If you are scared of taking the class, i recommend highly that you try and take her because she explains everything very well!
It seems like I took the class with another lady. Her lectures are nothing like the tests. Questions on the test are very different than her lectures. Homework & quizzes are related but still test questions are incredibly difficult. She is very loud and does screams a lot. I personally like the lady but her tets are way too complicated.
I am currently taking this prof. At first she can be a little intimidating and but she is very helpful and explains stats in a very easy, clear way. Trust me, math is not my fav subject but she is my fav Stats teacher! Def. Take her.. you'll pass :)
OK, so today I took the final for this class!! I just wanted to recommend this great prof. to you guys. She really cares about your grades and she wants you to learn. She gave us 4 quizzes, drops the lowest and 3 tests, plus a cumulative final. Do not buy the book! we never used it. Pay attention in class, write good notes and do the hand outs!
Seriously, take her for Stats. I thought I hated stats but she made me want to almost major in it. She is very clear about the subject. Excellent teacher. Seriously, if you need a good math teacher take her. 4 quizzes and 4 tests. They are easy if you go to class. I never even opened the textbook. Her notes are what you need to study.
Yes its true, you will not need the text book for this class, basicaly be there for all her notes and u will be ready for the quizzes. However her test are sometimes a little bit different from her Hand outs and notes. In the test she phrases the questions differently than she does for the notes, quiz, and handout. So test can be a bit tricky. BUT
I LOVED her! I took it during summer B & She was amazing! The quizzes and tests are easy if you come to class and take notes, just study your notes and handouts and you will get that A! Plus, i did SO well in the class that she exempt me and 3 other from the final. You wont need the book so dont bother, but show up every day its worth it for that A
Great teacher. Very nice person. She explains everything in class. Excellent!!
Seriously best math professor I have ever had, I was a little scared at first bc of her thick accent, but its fine. GO TO CLASS EVERY SINGLE DAY, all the notes you need are in class, don't buy the book (unless you want to waste your money), and do all the handouts (bc the exams are exactly like the handouts). I got a B+ and I'm terrible in math.
Professor Muniz does not make students waste time. She teaches straight to the point with clarity and very importantly, does get complicated. She sticks to the material as you need to pass the course. She is great
Cant understand her, I had a family emergency that resulted in the death of an immidiate family member and was not excused for the final/ meh
Excellent professor, Stats is difficult but she was crystal clear. Approachable and helpful. In my experience the best Math professor I've had. I did not get an A but i definitely know and still remember all I learned in her class. If your a psych major you need to remember your stats.Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended. Take her!
Notes are good but her accent and her attitude were bad. Seemed angry all the time. insulted students and not helpful. NO extra credit. I took stats 1 and passed it I found this class to very difficult to understand and get help from the professor.
She is a very good teacher and explains the material really well, she knows her stuff and knows how to teach. the bad part is her test are extremely hard, hard to find outside of class for help, and speaks very fast but if your study very hard and go to all classes u'll pass the class. oh and Text book is not used at all, only the tables.
Class was ok. She's really nice and gave an extra credit assignment. The only bad thing is there are only tests to boost your grade. I would recommend her, but study and defintely go to class.
I loved her! First time I got an A in math at FIU. she does have an accent, but if you go to class everyday and take notes and pay attention you can easily get an A. Only 3 tests and a final. She exempted those who got all A's. I highly recommend her. I liked her teaching style alot. Made you do problems in class on ur own and it helped
she tends to have an attitude towards students and give really mean remarks, but she is great as a teacher.. you actually understand why you r solving the problems not only doing them. but you cant miss a class it would hurt your grade badly.
She definitely dresses to impress. She is very disorganized sometimes and has this little annoying attitude, but she is great at teaching statistics. She actually teaches?does not read from PowerPoint or none of that. She does the problems step by step in class with you. The test are not tricky and if you study hard, you can get a very good grade.
She is one of the best math teachers in FIU and possibly the best teacher I've ever taken a class with. I got an A and I did so well, that she exempted me from the final. She definately stimulates interest in statistics, which is rather a boring subject. Do her handouts, once you get a gist of the handouts, you're set for an A in the exam.
She does not speak good english therefore it is hard to understand her at times. She has an attitude which also makes it hard for students to feel comfortable about asking her a question. Her class is very hard, she makes exams incredibly difficult and gives no extra credit so if you are not good at test taking you will most likely not do good.
By far the best Stats II teacher at FIU. If you are scared of Stats, take her and you won't be. She has an accent but if you're Spanish you'll understand. She seems intimidating but she's not. No need to buy textbook, everything is from her handouts and notes. I got an A! She's amazing! Don't listen to the other nonsense.
Great professor. very helpful and funny.
I didnt like her at all!! She speaks bad english and is rude to students makes you feel stupid when you ask a question. Plus gives no extra credit assignments and doest drop lowest grade. Tests are almost impossible!! Very hard class and on top of that a horrible teacher
Excellent professor!! makes class easy and very interesting!! I highly recommend her
Horrible english, but a fantastic teacher for stats. best teacher i have had for this class. recommend her anytime since she is one of the few teachers who actually tests you on what she actually writes on the board. As long as you follow her notes u will have no problems w her exams and quizzes.
Horrible teacher, rushes through. No extra credit, arranges the seats before tests, doesn't let you use notes and the formulas she gives you are limited, on top of all that This stat's class is VERY HARD!
She's a nice lady, but if you not good with STATS don't take her!
Worst teacher I ever had.. Very unhelpful, loud, and annoying, yells at u if u don't understand, arranges seats felt like I was in kindergarten! But will not help with material expects u to know it all and doesn't drop anything no extra credit. Tests super hard and she doesn't let u use notes. There are much better options to take! Take Berrios
This teacher is not bad at all. Those that say she is, is because they dont want to put effort in the class. She has four exams and for each of them you get a review! I have to say the first one is very hard but the second, thrid, and final are not. I got 100's and Im not that great at math. Its very passable you just have to go to class ;)
Professor is smart, and knows her material. She is a good teacher, but moves through the material quite fast. She provides no extra credit, and does not drop the lowest grade. You have to put all your effort to get a good grade in her class. STUDY! Don't even think about going through one of her exams with out studying. She has only 4 tests.
Professor Muniz is very helpful and she cares about her students. She will do everything she can to help you making herself available during office hours and hours before the test date. She gives handouts and practice papers which she works with in class. She is very organized in her explanations and you will understand everything she explains.
This class is super easy! I'm horrible at math and I got 100's on my tests! You do not need the notebook because what she lectures is what you need to know. Amazing teacher, crystal clear. Do not miss class cause you will be lost. And don't b late!. Tests are a combination of multiple choice ans short answer questions. TAKE HER! YOU WON'T REGRET IT
First of all the person who said she's a bad teacher because she doesn't let you use notes in tests, seriously? You're in college. Amazing teacher, attendance is mandatory and as long as you study the day before her tests are straight forward. Taking her again for STA 2123 :)
She does know her subject area but she does rush through the lectures and her test are extremely difficult. The easiest exam was the second one. She takes off points for silly mistakes, she does not give extra credit and she does not drop the lowest exam. You have to really study. I think I ended up with a C and I had a math tutor.
Prof. Muniz can be really mean, but she knows her subject area really well and explains it well. She cuts out all the unnecessary material from the class and just teaches the essentials. GO TO CLASS! take good notes and do her study guides for each test. 2 tests (25% each) One final (40%) and 3 quizzes (10%).
Stats II is a cake-walk thanks to this professor. Take good notes, pay attention, complete her handouts and you will pass. Her teaching methods are a paragon when compared to those of other instructors. She exempts the people with the 3 highest grades from taking the final. I the was fourth highest, so I took the final and got an A in the class.
TAKE HER. SHE IS AWESOME. GOT AN A ON EVERY EXAM AND LEARNED ALOT.
AWESOME!! gives a review sheet for every exam and if you get an A on her exams throughout the semester you dont have to take the final. This was one of the easiest A's i got in a math class ever!!! TAKE HER!!
I hate stats, but she truly make you understand. That being said, her exams are NOT easy, you don't get extra credit, and she won't drop a grade! You WILL have to study! I passed all my exams with an A and was exempt from the final for being within the top 3.
I had taken stats before in High School and lets just say shes the best statistics teacher I have ever seen. She tries to use logic so you why are you using the formulas you use. This will come in handy when you take the cumulative final. But she teaches very slowly so most of the class will understand. Her tests and quizzes are not hard.
Professor Muniz is by far the best statistics genius ever! I loved her sense of humor and she knows her material extremely well! Too bad I am finish with math, because I would of taken her again! Go to class and copy her notes and do the test reviews! You will be fine!
Prof. Muniz is a really good professor. I do not like math at all but after taking her class. She made it fun and easier to understand. Even though she has a thick accent, you can still manage to understand her. I highly recommend her for STA-3123. You should take her.
Professor Muniz has a strong cuban accent and appears she may be yelling at the students when she talks, but she provides a lot of good information and resources for each chapter. MUST STUDY her examples. Drops lowest quiz grade and no online hw. If you study before the quizzes/tests you can past with an A or B. Just follow examples
Literally the best math professor at FIU. She makes it so easy to understand everything and is very helpful. No online hw. Quizzes, 2 tests, and final
She has 4 exams. The final is cumulative. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you miss one class, you are going to be lost. She can be intimidating, but she's a big ol' softie on the inside. She will not hesitate to help you bring your grade up as long as you attend class and seem like you care. She's hilarious! Make sure you study the review sheet
She is by far the best Stats teacher I have ever taken (& I would know. She was the 3rd I had at FIU). She explains the concepts clearly & in a way that makes you see the logic behind it. You MUST attend class. If she sees you are trying hard and attend class she will remember you come grading time! Class is not easy, but you will definitely learn!
she is a great teacher. its just her tests are average on easiness. you would have to study for like 2 and a half hours to make sure you get an 100. (if you're not that great with stats) attend every class and youll do fine. just come into the class knowing it wont be an EASY a but a hardworking one.
By far the best Stats/Math teacher. As long as you attend class, pay special attention to the exact format she expects, and study the material she gives, you will get an A. Plus she's funny!
This class is not easy, but she does require you to work really hard to earn the grade you want. She knows the material very good and expects all her students to grasp it right away! She is not that approachable to even ask questions, so a tutor is suggested or join a study group! She is a tough grader, there are 4 hard tests and no grades dropped!
MOST HORRIBLE PROFESSOR EVER. The way she puts the class in grades is terrible especially for me because I am a terrible test taker, 3 exams no extra credits, no hw, nothing! Just exams, and a cumulative final exam. I am no good at math at all, and Stats is or lets say was my fave type of math. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!!!
So there are 3 exams & 1 cum. final. I promise you that if you do all of her handouts for each test, you WILL get a good grade. I got 100 on first 2 tests and a D on the 3rd but I went to see her in her office & I had made stupid mistakes. The final is not bad AT ALL. She knows her material & is a great prof. with good notes & examples!
Best math teacher I've ever had. She truly knows what she is teaching and she does an amazing job in explaining her notes. As long as you go to class and pay attention to her notes you'll get an A. Class consisted of several easy quizzes, 2 tests that were a little harder but still fairly easy, & a cumulative final. She drops the lowest quiz grade.
If you are not good at Stats or math in general do not take her. 4 difficult & confusing exams. Do not take her if you have a full time job, her office hours are during the day only. She is not helpful at all, gives an attitude when you ask questions. This professor is there to teach only and does not care whether you understand or not.
This was by far the greatest Math Professor I have ever had at FIU! Her class is based off of 3 tests and a Cumulative Final. She gives you hand outs to use as study guides before the test and my recommendation is to do these. She does have an accent but she really goes in depth on every step and does examples with you! Don't miss class!
If math isn't you subject I wouldn't recommend taking her class. Her notes are not tough to follow and she wants every one to learn, but her tests are brutal. They are not open booknotes and even if they where I don't think they would help you much.
By far the best math professor I've taken at FIU. She gives you the exact format of how she wants you to answer her questions along with formula sheets and handouts with practice questions. If you don't understand something you can ask her after class. Follow her format, do handout problems, come to class everyday and you will pass.
Definitely one of the best options for Stats at FIU. You have to go to class or you WILL be lost. Don't really need the textbook except to get copies of the tables she requires for the tests. But the homework and extra problems she sends them through email. COMPLETE her review guides. She goes through every step in detail.
She is extremely knowledgable & clear in her teachings. She has a slight accent but it has absolutely no interference in learning the material. Her energy & charisma make time go by very fast. Would highly recommend taking stats with her if you want to truly learn the material & get an A. You must put in the work but very manageable. Go to class.
tests are tough and confusing. material isnt hard at all and she gives great notes but her tests are impossible and have nothing to do with the examples she gives in class. Shes also mean and makes you feel stupid when you ask a question. she expects you to know everything and if you dont she'll make you feel like garbage in front of the class.
Take her!!!! she explains the material very very clearly. As long as you write down every word she writes on the board you will be good to go on the exams. She gives many handouts which I used for studying. She is a very feisty woman but she is amazing and will try her hardest for you you pass.
GO TO CLASS! She's a great professor, does a lot of examples, doesn't collect homework BUT you need to go to class because she is very specific with how she wants you to do the test
I had taken statistics 2 already twice and failed it both times. This is the first professor that I take it with that actually explains every single detail. She doesn't like students to ask questions due to the short time in class but if you go to class you will pass! She explains everything thoroughly!
She knows her material, she's smart and feisty but if you have just the SLIGHTEST struggle in math, do not take her. All the material is second nature to her, so she just talks and it's not easy to understand for everyone, she also doesn't like to answer questions in class. If you have your doubts about her, find another professor.
Professor Muniz can come off as a very difficult professor upon entering her class, and that she is. However, she's also willing to help you if she sees that you're putting in the work. She's extremely knowledgable about the material, and she teaches it amazing. Don't slack, you'll be fine! 10/10
She seems pretty cocky when you first walk into her class. She expects you to know your material from the last stats class you took. If you ask questions during class, she will give you 100% sass, but that's only because she knows her material so well. She's a great teacher, show up, take notes, and you'll pass. If you need help, ASK FOR IT.
This is by far the worst professor in FIU. Beware: She has a huge attitude and will embarrass you in front of the class if you ask her a question. She is not approachable at all. The tests are very difficult she does not provide suffcient information and she her question are tricky. She gives out handouts and they have a lot of discrepencies.
She is a great professor! Because of her I finally understand statistics. She gives homework and she doesn't collect it but I advise you to do it so your don't fall behind. She is clear on how she wants you to answer tests and explains every detail for you to succeed. Don't miss class, every class is important. If you really want to learn take her.
I took her at Miami Dade for statistics 1, since it was a summer course i felt like i was more prepared for her tests than now in stats 2 50min class. BUT that ill say its my fault. She is a good teacher but you MUST go to class!!! Her reviews mirror the exam. She might be rude but she is GOOD.
Professor Muniz is not an easy professor and stats 2 isn't an easy subject but she knows her stuff. When you walk into her class she comes off as sassy and can be rude but if she sees you're trying and really care about your grade she will notice you and genuinely cares. If you take her, go to her office hours and introduce yourself.
Take her class in the summer and you will pass! The best professor ever. Three exams and she breaks it down for you and gives you everything you need to do well on the test. Lectures are no that long either.
The most incredible stats professor. Her exams are really easy for STA3123. I would most definitely take again and you should too. Two exams and I can promise you A's
I was definitely intimidated by taking a stats class in summer A but she was a great professor. She explains things to the point, but well. Attendance is not mandatory but if you don't go, you'll have a hard time with the class. I highly recommend this professor! Went to class, did the handouts and exam reviews and got 100s!
Her first exam was easy but then the material gets incredibly difficult and confusing. I lover as professor but her exams are difficult. I ended up getting a C+ after getting an A on the first exam, a B on the second exam, and failing the final. The final is the hardest exam. Take it with someone else if you can
I took her for a 6 week Summer course. This was Stats for Behavioral Science II. It was a very heavy course to take in 6 weeks, but she was amazing. She can be a little intimidating the first couple of classes, but she appreciates and recognizes your effort. I actually understand Stats thanks to her! You'll need to study, but she's worth it!
She is a good professor. She knows the material. Do not skip class, you won't pass. She provides hands-out that are helpful and she reviews the homework in class. She does not grade the homework, but I recommend you work the problems. Her grading policy is based on 4 exams and a final (optional).
Awesome teacher! she is always willing to help her students! If you are struggling don't hesitate to go to her office ! Going to class is a MUST!!!!! Exams are similar to the problems she gives you in class and HW! Practice those as many times as you can and you will be fine! She gives EVERYBODY 5 extra points on each exam! trust me that helps!!
If you are not very good at mathematics, I suggest you do not take this class. She's not a horrible professor, she just isn't patient and her thick accent coupled with the speed of her lecture can throw you off. Her exams don't reflect the question style provided in the homework. Not good at math? Spend elsewhere. You'll be lost when she lectures.
She's hilarious and a great stats prof. She makes everything super easy and understandable. If she doesn't cover it in class, you're not responsible for it. You can have formula sheets on the exams and quizzes. She drops lowest of the quizzes and the lowest of test. If you take all the tests and you have an A or a B, the final is optional
Extremely easy class! She outlines and teaches EVERYTHING in her notes (which she sends to you via email) and gives you all the review material you'll need. No homework, no quizzes, no textbook, no surprises, no hassle. She's a great professor, but you could easily afford to miss every single class and still ace each exam. Would take again!
I do not recommend her at all, she has many discrepancies in her handouts, test has nothing to do with her examples or handouts. I study a lot for her test and the questions were so hard I pas with a C+ but I study for an A.
LITERALLY THE WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER TAKEN IN MY 5 YEARS OF COLLEGE. She has such an attitude, and is so very rude to her students. Her worksheets? Half of the answers are wrong!! She wrote a nasty comment on one of my exams which made me feel terrible. Exams are based mainly on the written part, one tiny thing wrong? all of it wrong. HATE HER
She is a great professor. This is a hard class, and she makes it very clear. I have yet to not understand something. Grade is based on 4 tests with optional final to replace lowest grade. There is extra credit on every test which are about 8-10 questions. You will not like her at first but she grows on you and is actually kind of funny. Take her!
Prof. Muniz has a tough personality at first but she is a very sweet person. Material is easy to follow. Do not ask stupid questions because she will answer them sarcastically, so ask your neighbors first. She seems intimidating at first but she is amazing. Also has great taste in fashion. Would take again!
Muniz is an amazing professor. She gives 4 quizzes and 4 exams plus a final that's optional. She doesn't use the book, so you shouldn't miss class because everything she teaches will be on the test. She's really clear in what she wants and how she wants things written. If its not exactly how she wants it, she takes off points. She makes stats easy
Professor Muniz is awesome! She is great at getting exactly to what you need to know and makes stats simple for anyone! Would take her for every math class if possible
This is a very difficult class to begin with and she doesn't do much to make it any easier. 4 tests and a final, final replaces lowest test. Each test has only 7 questions; 2 short answer worth 25 pt each and 5 multiple choice. Spends the entire class going over one problem. Answers questions rudely. Leaves rude remarks on tests. Don't recommend.
Her test are super hard, she always has 3 short response which aren't short at all and 60%of your test grade which she grades really hard.
Awesome professor. Her notes and examples are clear and concise. If you study the notes you took in class, you'll do very well on the exams. Homework isn't graded and she even emails you all the notes for each lesson! Would take again in a heartbeat!
She is fantastic! You dont need the book, she goes over everything you need to know in class so don't miss! Her lectures are very clear. She makes everything easy to understand. The only thing you need are tables from the book but you don't need the book otherwise. She is very clear how all the tests and quizzes are gonna be and she is easy to talk
She has a strong spanish accent. Was hard to understand until I got used to her. Was able to pass her class because the final is optional and will take the place of your lowest test grade.
Just took her for Summer B and I think she is a great professor and knows the material very well. This is not an easy course. You need to work VERY hard in order to pass the class. 3 tests each worth 25% of your grade plus a cumulative final that is optional. Talk to her if you don't understand or are having problems, she will help you. I recommend
Professor Muniz is great. Her lectures are very clear and she cares for her students
This professor is the best! Math/stats is not my strength but she made it easy. I missed 1 class the whole semester & met with her during office hours. It was actually the section I understood best. She does not give mandatory homework & has 4 tests & a final. Final is optional if you have a passing grade. Need the book for the tables in the back.
If you can take stats with professor Muniz, DO IT. She is one of the best stats professors that you have at FIU. Four test, four quizzes and she drops your lowest quiz grade, the final is optional and will replace your lowest grade. She's willing to help you, but that's if you do your part.
Professor Muniz is the only professor you'll want to take stats with. Very straightforward on what she wants out of you. You'll learn with her and take advantage of everything that she gives you to study with, and you'll pass the quizzes and tests.
She is an amazing stats professor! I loved her lectures, she broke down all the material and she was easy to understand As long as you attend class, listen and copy down her lectures, and you study from her review tests she gives you will pass. Those who gave her a low rating probably didn't attend class or pay attention to lecture.
This woman messes up so many times she makes more mistakes than any professors should. She has an attitude in her emails and in person. She is unorganized. She does not come to class on time and she does not stay committed to her office hours which are on our syllabus but the department does not have. I recommend any other professor ever.
Great professor!!! I would recommend 100%. Everything she does in class is what comes in the exam. Easy A if you attend to class and take notes.
This class involved 4 exams and an optional final exam. Grade was an average of exam scores. Before each exam we were emailed a review and homework handout along with a formala sheet. Most of this material is solved in class. I wrote down everything she put on the board, and did the assigned work. Each time resulted in an A.
Amazing professor! 4 quizzes, 4 exams, and optional final. No graded homework and the exams are exactly like the study guide. She explains and the material in a way that it is easy to understand by breaking down problems step by step. It is important to attend every class.
She gives very clear notes and that's all you need to get an A on each exam. 4 exams and an optional final to replace the lowest test grade. She is kinda late sometimes but always get her lectures done and prepares you for the exams. Gives reviews before each final. Tough grader, but gives +5 on each exam. 2 written (60%) and 4 MC (40%). TAKE HER!
Professor Muniz is one of the worst professors I have had at FIU. She is way to fast and you can not understand half the things she says or writes on the board. She makes you bring your own tables on test days and does not provide you with any good feedback. Avoid at all cost.
Very caring professor. If you need any help just go to her office hours and she will walk you through it. No need for textbook. Provides you with all formulas you will need as well as handouts and practice exams. Will go over handouts in class. 4 exams, 4 quizzes (drops lowest grade). Optional final replacing lowest test grade. Def recommend
Stats 2 2019, NO homework. 4 exams and you're excepted from final if C-above. The way she solves the problems in the lecture is the way she wants you to format your answers in the test. Test consists of multiple choice questions and short answer questions (worth ALOT more). She has an accent but you can understand everything. Shes amazing! TAke her
Prof Muniz is AMAZING. I wouldnt even dream about taking stats with another prof. She makes it so clear what she wants from u and what u need to do in order to get an A. Go to class&take solid notes, study a couple hours before every quiz/test and you'll get an A. She makes learning stats easy. 4 quizzes (drops 1), 4 exams, optional cumulativ final
Failing this class is like failing PE in high school. She's that easy.
The best professor Ive had in my entire academic career. She really knows how to teach. Go to class. Take notes. Pay attention. And you wont have to study. Text book not required, you just need the tables. I recommend this teacher 10/10. Ended with a 99
I took her for Stats 1 and 2 in the Spring and Summer 2019 consecutively and she is an amazing professor!! Don't buy the textbook, if you do all the handouts she gives you for practice to study, you'll pass with an A. She may come off mean but that's in her character, she genuinely cares about her students and will aid you in passing if you need it
Ive taken Prof Muniz for stats 1 and 2 back to back. finished stats 1 with a 98% and stats 2 with 99%. She´s crystal clear as to what youre expected to know for each exam. Gives extra 5 points per exam (if you need a quick save). Will work with you if you are borderline. stats 25 was 4 exams, no final. Gives you handouts that resemble the exam.
Pick Muniz. Go to Class. Complete the Handouts/Reviews. You should get an A. She's really easy and straight forward and I got a 100 on all the exams/tests. She does not require Math Lab or even the online assignments of the textbook. Don't even get the textbook unless you need extra practice problems. Just go to class and pay attention.
Professor Muniz is super great. If you take notes, do her reviews, and study the way she teaches the material, youll be more than fine. She will make sure things are clear for you. If you have questions shell answer them. Best math professor/teacher I have ever had. Literally showed up to class because of how much I enjoyed her teaching.
Accent didn't allow me to understand almost anything. She never replied to emails. She doesn't use canvas at all. 3 exams, final optional if you have a passing grade after 3rd exam. Averages the 3 exams and Final optional to replace lowest test grade. 4 quizzes, lowest dropped and average of the 3 is pulled. Boring lecture. Hard to pay attention.
Professor Muniz is very nice however her exams are challenging. 4 exams each exam is 25% of your grade. No HW or CW. If you are close to an A or B she will not boost up your grade even though she said she will. I was less than a point and she never gave it to me. Don't expect a response by email she never responded to anyone the whole year
currently have her for summer term, one of the worst professors so far. started off decent teaching/lecture wise, but inaccessible outside of class. no emails, no canvas. class avg for exam 1 was a 68, no curve, no pity, no points. she doesn't care about her students at all and has an attitude problem.
Avoid this professor. I took her Summer class that was intended to be an in person class but due to COVID turned into zoom classes. I have never met a professor so unprofessional and rude. Her emails are written with a lot of attitude and are extremely unhelpful. She will not care about you in the slightest. I recommend any other professor.
This class ended up being remote. She has an accent, but it is still very easy to understand her. Her lectures are very clear and shows you exactly what will be on the exam. I attended all the lectures and did the "study guides" and received A's on every assignment. Very easy class and great teacher if you just show up.
Took this class in summer 2020. Awful, rude, unprofessional professor. Barely understood her lectures Heavy exams, she required showwork for remote exams with honorlock, with super short limited time, its just crazy stuff. My advice, avoid this professor at all costs!
This class was remote. Grades based on HW (15%), 3 Partials (55%-lowest grade dropped) and a Final (30%). Some formulas and tables provided for tests. Exams are multiple choice w/low value as 5 pt.) and 3-4 short answer questions (w/great value as 15-20 pt. Handouts provided to practice at the end of the Modules. She gives reviews before each test
took her for fall 2020 and will never take again. online she's not a good teacher. her handouts often had mistakes and her she grades stupid things on her test heavier than they needed to be. never showed up to her office hours and refused to record the lectures for the students who wanted to be able to go back and review or who missed class.
Do not take her. She changes her office hour meetings last minute and has no regard for students (will not let you make up exam no matter what the excuse is). Won't curve even when class average for exam is F. Expects you to "know" somehow with frickin telepathy that she only wants you to use HER specific methods even when other methods work.. bad.
By far the WORST professor I've had at FIU. She has no regard for the grades of students and isn't interested in helping any students pass. One of those teachers who is stuck in their ancient teaching ways. Tests/quizzes are confusing and her reviews do not help.
Worst Professor I have EVER taken. Do not take her for statistics. She will ghost you. She will grade harsh and take off points for stupid things. She will flake on her "meetings" and will demean any sort of question you give her. DO not take her, save yourself the headache.
if I could give a 0 I would, forget about her replying to your emails. exams are on Honorlock, and on Fridays way harder than what you have on lectures. lectures make no sense at all. She doesn't care about students, looks like she want her students to fail. save your time with this class and choose someone better. WORST PROFESSOR EVER
This Proffesor is one of my favorites, attend class and you will pass with a easy A. She test on what she gives! Shes the type of professor that comes in and does all her lectures on the board, she will explain the theory, write definitions and give many examples. She also has handouts for every test once you make that the test will be the same
One of the best teachers, she's the type to write everything on the board. She will explain the method, write the definitions and make many examples with the class. If you attend her class you will pass easy. What she gives in class you will literally get in the exams! she's very straight forward, she gives 3 group assignments which help for exam.
she is terrible, doesnt help out at all. Asked her for help multiple times she barely replied to emails. Then she doesnt allow make up work or extra credit. whatever you get is literally what you get.
Professor Muniz is excellent. Study and make sure you attend all zoom sessions with questions. Her exams are of no surprise, follow the lectures, exam handouts and quizzes all similar to major exams. Try to do your very best on the midterm, her grades are heavy weight for midterm 30% and final 35% which are timed using honor lock. She's the best!
Worst professor ever. Avoid her at all costs, it was a horrifying experience, she has a pronounced accent and wears a face mask so it is impossible to listen and to understand what she is saying
the worst math teacher I've ever had. has a horrible attitude problem, doesn't reply to emails, doesn't care to help her students succeed. Very hard to pass her course. Its just HW, group tasks, and 3 exams. The HW and group tasks don't even change your grade at all. If you do bad on one test, you have to get 95-100 on the next two. No help.
This professor is an extremely tough grader. If you do not find the answer the way she wants you to she will deduct points even if the answer is correct. Not good at answering emails either. Is rude and feels like she is talking down to you when you ask her a simple question (if you can manage to get her during the office hours) Avoid if you can.
The absolute worst professor. Not heavy on homework, however, the homework material doesn't match the tests. First day of class said: doesn't look at emails. Attendance isn't mandatory but she gives information that isn't present on the online modules during her lectures. Lectures are heavily rushed. An hour of math lab required a week.
Professor Muniz is a very nice lady and you can tell that she wants you to pass, but she's a super tough grader and her lectures are super quick, if you miss one class you're definitely gonna need to study on your own. Don't take this class if you're lazy.
I learned so much from her! I was scared to take her because of other reviews, but she is great. She teaches in a way that you will understand everything in a matter of minutes. She usually will give you extra problems to work in class (not graded), in order for her to walk around the class, and see if anyone has any difficulties. Take her!!
Professor Muniz is the only teacher I've ever had that has made me understand math. I simply paid attention to the lectures, followed along, and asked questions. She is no-nonsense, but it absolutely works for this class. She sets clear expectations at the start of the semester and if you pull your weight you'll do well.
She is genuinely such an amazing professor :) Despite Stats 2 being somewhat challenging, taking her class has made everything so simple. Prof. Muniz is extremely clear when explaining math, and taking notes is important. Come to class and pay attention to succeed.
She might come off being very tough, but everything is understandable. Feel free to ask her questions during class. She likes when students do the work with her instead of her just saying the answer. The HW are long but she doesn't create them its just the math department. Go to every class in order to understand what the material is about.
Professor Muniz has a specific teaching style, but engaging with it can really pay off. Her exams are fair game if you stay on top of the material. unstuckstudy was a lifesaver for practice - consider it alongside other study tools.
She was a good professor, her lectures and examples she went over were exactly like the exams. Barely on homework, there was 3 group projects in total, one before each exam. A couple of pearsons assignments also due before the exam. Overall, she was great and made the class easy.
Everything this professor taught was straight to the point and was precisely what was on the tests. Careful though, she tends to make a lot of mistakes which could be costly, which you need to be on the lookout for. The group projects were annoying as it had weird, tough questions, and the HW was barely like anything we learned. You'll pass though.
Worst professor i've had. Hates when you ask questions, whatever you get on her tests are basically your entire grade, and constantly makes mistakes during lecture. Horrible, horrible. If you want to pass DO NOT take this class...like EVER.
The lessons were a little bit difficult but if you attend every class sessions you'll be fine. I would say attendance is mandatory because if you miss one class your going to be very confused. She is a tough grader when it comes to her exams. 1 hour is also required every week in the math lab. But she does a good job explaining the materials.
TERRIBLE!!! Has an attitude problem whenever you ask questions and constantly makes mistakes lectures. Tests are 70% of your grade so the other assignments basically have no value. What you get on the first test is your grade for the semester. Unhelpful, no pity points or extra credit, what you get is what you get & she doesn't care. Avoid her!!!!
shes a fashionista diva i would go to class just to see her outfits just kidding but as long as you show up to her lectures, you should do just fine in the class she just goes over example problems over and over and is VERY clear about what will be on her exams, totally 70% of your grade tho so pay attention to her advice
I have never struggled in a math class, I have even been a TA for other math classes. From the first day I was more than confused. She is so hard to understand, not clear on what she wants at all for us to study. She gives us homework and what's on the homework isn't even close to being on the test. just take any other professor, fr. TERRIBLE.drop.
Horrible. Do not take her class. Avoid at all costs.
Worst professor I've ever had. Her thick accent makes it nearly impossible to understand anything. She doesn't reply to emails, gives no study guides, and only grades based on 3 impossible tests. I studied hard and still failed. The whole class was lost. Avoid her at all costs. Truly a horrible experience. Not to mention she is rude &unprofessional
Horrible professor i've never had such a bad professor or gotten an F in a class ever especially paying attention & studying. Avoid taking her at all cost. Her thick accent makes it impossible to understand and learn. Also very rude.
She is Literally Horrible! impossible to understand and extremely test heavy hard copy in class which makes it hard to pass if you are not a test takes. No other assignment will count towards your garde except exams.
I did well in this class, but I do not recommend this professor. She is nice but the class is not designed well and she's not the best at explaining things. Tests are worth 70% of your grade, no curve and tough grading. The homework assignments didn't have weight for almost the whole semester and she didn't understand when I brought it up to her.
Your grade basically consists of 3 harshly graded tests (weigh 70%, aren't curved) & 3 group assignments. Lectures are easy to understand if ur a quick learner, but you need to study bc she doesn't explain that great. Never answers her emails, didn't even release the grades for the final to the class. She's not mean but just unprofessional & slow.
She's very clear on what she wants and how she wants it, especially in the tests. The tests are heavily graded but she adds five points on top of your score. You have to go to class or you'll be lost. Studying for this class I would suggest sticking with your groups from the group projects to study as that's what helped me avoid mistakes.
Professor was rude/harsh when asked questions she believed were unimportant and would make it apparent to the student in front of the entire class. Most students from my class during the Fall semester either dropped the course or had to retake it again (which says a lot in itself). Recommend choosing another professor.
This professor speaks broken English and trying to understand statistics was very difficult. When it came to class she was impatient when her students wouldn't automatically understand and rude when you would say the wrong answer. She gives zero leniency for anything. She never reads her emails or only responds after being spammed. DO NOT TAKE.
She hardly will reply to any email you send to her. The tests are majority of your grade and she doesn't really teach the material that well making it hard to score well on the tests. There was about one section of Pearson a month which wasn't bad however with how much work you do on them it will hardly show in your grade. Don't take this professor
She doesn't give extra credit. Homework is worth 10%, tests are worth 75%. She doesn't understand how to use Canvas (despite being a teacher at FIU for years and Canvas is used by everyone here.) Her pace is too quick, it's hard to keep up with her. She has an accent (which isn't an issue), but it can be hard to understand her sometimes.
She's a nice lady, don't get me wrong, but if you're not ready to put in the work, you won't pass. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you don't come to class, you will be lost. People with low grades just don't study much and blame it on her(or just don't go to class). Just try your best and you'll do just fine.
If you wanna PASS you gotta go to CLASS!!!! The content itself is not difficult by anymeans; however she provides examples for her oddly worded exams. She will not answer emails so speak to her in person.
If you do not show up to class, you will not understand the material but it seems like even if you do show up, you still do not understand the material. The group projects are frustrating, if one student in your group messes up on a question, the whole group is punished and your grade suffers. Seriously would never take a class with her ever again.
I enjoyed taking this class. She's occasionally challenging to understand but overall is a good professor. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you want to get a good grade, you HAVE to go to class; you learn, practice problems, and are able to ask questions if you don't understand something. There are group assignments, but they're not difficult.
GO TO CLASS! If you miss class you will not understand, which is why I got a C so that is my fault. She does not respond to emails, talk to her in class. Gives extra credit and provided extra points on tests.
The class itself is pretty straightforward and isn't had to understand. The issue with this class is the group work and insane amount of pearsons that she assigns each month. She's a sweet professor but her grading scale is tough, and she doesn't give the best feedback for exams. Exams are also a big part of your grade so make sure to study.
