Amazing professor! !!

Great professor

1) Be on time- or you're not allowed to join lecture after a 10 minute time-period 2) She straightforward and takes her time 3) Gives Reviews-Her exams are multiple choices, but fair 4) Amazing, she truly wants you to pass with a great understanding of chemistry

She's a sweetheart. Flat out amazing. I'm willing to go as far as to say she's the best chem teacher MDC has to offer. Show up to class, do the reviews 3 days prior to the tests and you will easily cruise with no problem. If you ever need help, feel free to ask after class and she will gladly assist you.

She is a good professor. If you study, you would be all right. She goes through the material quite fast, so if you want to keep up, you need to study. She is fair with her grades and likes to help students. I would take her again.

Gives reviews and a study guide, and no homework. She is the best. Its not an easy subject but with a little effort I got an A.

Dr. Dominguez is a really nice person. Very intelligent, organize, she will give a package review always to study before the exam. She makes sure that you understand everything, and will be there for you always if you need it. Exams are not hard, most of the questions are multiple choice.

Professor Dominguez is great! She will give you reviews to study for the tests, which are more difficult than the actual tests. Four exams and an optional final. You need to study, otherwise, you will not pass. Would definitely take her again :)

Amazing Chemistry professor! Even though her lectures are long, they are precise and pretty good.

4 Tests, 1 Final. And she drops your lowest test. That's all you get so make 'em count. She lectures from PowerPoint every semester but if you pay attention, ask questions, and do her study guides. There is absolutely no reason you shouldn't pass. One of the sweetest professors I've ever had!!

I passed with a B. She has 4 test and 1 final. She drops the lowest. Ask question, she is very helpful. She give a mini review session before the test and hints out the questions that are on the test. She gives take home quizzes for extra points. You must attend class she takes attendance before, during and after class for points as well.

I only studied by the powerpoints she gave and she goes by it as well. BUT don't fear because she will go over it step by step for the math portion. Sometimes the PowerPoint would skip some steps and she would do it on the board as well as write notes next to it. Made studying easier. She always answers your questions and doesn't give attitude.

Professor Dominguez is very knowledgeable and cares about you. She does have a strong Cuban accent. You will feel to sleep in her class because she does not interact too much, she uses the power point presentation and rewrites the exercises on the board then she jumps to the next topic. On the other hand, her classes are easy as well as her exams.

This professor was amazing. i passed with a B. Even though she has a slightly heavy spanish accent, you'll learn from her. Show up to class for Attendance points,Do your online homework and Practice for the test and you'll be sure to pass. She gives you study guides for every test! which helped me a lot! Finals test not mandatory

Dr. Dominguez is the nicest professor ever she really cares and wants you to learn, I passed with a B when in the beginning I almost dropped it because I thought I would fail, shes available during office hours to help and the power point and study guides are almost identical to the tests but you have to put in the work too & online homework

thiS proffesor was amazing.5 test, she drops the lowest, extra credit point, review and study guide before every single test, attendence is very important. there isnot reason you shouldnt pass this class (A). SHE IS VERY HELPFUL.

Professor Dominguez was great she cares about her students. This is not a class that you can be lazy in its a lot of information at one time. so You have to do your part and study the material review the study guides they are a great help. she does give extra credit. you don't need the text book. you need an access code for online homework.

As long as you do the experiments and turn them in you should pass. She is really nice and I have no complaints. Her accent can be a little tough but nothing unbearable. I wouldnt chose her for lecture though (just my opinion) only because chem can get confusing and her presenting skills arent the most clear. But really nice lady.

Took her for Summer Term A, she is an amazing professor just wish she wouldve been my professor for the whole summer Term. She makes the material so understandable and if you have any questions she is there to help. Her grading consist of attendance, lab coat & goggles, and lab report thats due each class. Take her! You wont regret it!

Theres nothing wrong with her its just that if you havent been to school in a long time and forgot some stuff. I would recommend you not taking her because her accent is kind of hard to understand but she just goes so fast you wont learn the materials right or you will be teaching yourself most times

She's caring. She has 5 tests and a final which drops your lowest grade. Good attendance gives bonus points to the final. She makes it easy for you and tries her best to for her students to understand it. Her tests were all multiple choice and no more than 25 questions.

You want to have a solid chemistry base for your future chem classes? Take professor Dominguez. This professor knows her stuff inside and out, she explains in such a precise and organize way that even the hardest chapters, you get with her teaching. Really wish I can get her for organic chemistry.

Prof. Dominguez class has a lot of information.. STUDY!! She goes over the PowerPoints quickly (she gets to the point) but youll have the PowerPoint accessible at all times during the course so go over it in detail on your own time! You will learn! Do the online homework, extra credit! Its 4 test and optional final! You definitely can get an A!

Chemistry is a subject where you have to be paying attention, you have to put in effort and you can't be lazy because it's a lot of information that is being given all at once. She is a really good teacher and she knows her chemistry, she goes over everything until you understand the concept. She made this class a lot easier than I expected.

Very easy! Just make sure you do everything in lab and start on the reports asap.. dont wait until last minute .. you have a new report every week! Midterm and Final has extra points (multiple choice)! DO NOT slack on the reports if you want an A! Class is easy just follow the syllabus exact! I passed with an A and you can too!!!

She's super nice. 5 tests no midterm. final is optional and replaces your lowest test score. Assignments are online. Every test she gives you a study guide and tells you the important things you have to remember. at the end of the semester if you turned in any incomplete assignment and reopens them.

She was amazing. She does have an accent, but if you pay attention, you will understand what she is saying. The lab experiments were fun.

I took professor Dominguez in a 6 week course and it was not bad. She gives you study guides before every test. Study from them and you will pass. Highly recommend this professor for both lab and lecture.

Professor Dominguez is one of the best chemistry professors at MDC. Chemistry is not an easy subject to understand & she knows that; therefore, she will make it easier for you. I visited her during office hours several times & she was always extremely helpful. I recommend her 100%.

(CHM 1025)I had never taken chemistry before taking the class with her and I passed with an A+. I had to study hard, and go to her office to ask for help but I was able to do it. The way she explains things makes the material easier. The study guides and the homework online are similar to test.

She is the best Professor of chem ever. She knows chemistry, she also knows how to teach. The way she teaches helps a lot. You dont need to review anything for her test if you pay attention to her explanation in class. Actually Im passing her class with an A without taking the final. she is the best keep in mind this is chemistry you need to be mature and study to know the material. test are exactly like the study guide . lowest test score gets dropped. the class is mostly math so if you know your math this class will be cake.

She drops 1 test. If you do good on three of the 4 test you don't have to show up for the final. Make sure to read her slides over and over again and you will get an A.

Took Dominguez for CHM1046L, she was helpful. Responds to e-mails, lab reports must be typed, no mid-term, & a final exam. She posts some powerpoint notes on Blackboard after lab. If you miss one lab, it will be dropped. B/c of COVID-19, we had to do labs online which weren't too complex. Show up & do some research, you'll pass.

I haven't taken chemistry in more than 10 years. I didn't think that an A was possible for me. Honestly, I was just praying to pass. Professor Dominguez makes the material easy to understand. If you put in the work and attend class you will get an A. 3 tests worst grade dropped. 4 quizzes worst grade dropped.

Teachers straight off the Powerpoint, but she'll stop and help you if you need it. There is online HW and those are SO ANNOYING to do like it takes an hour AT LEAST to complete one. There are 4 tests and they're not the easiest but if you do her study guides it'll be an easy test and she does give u the answers to the study guides so review them!

Took during Covid- remote. Haven't taken any CHM class in 17 years so wasn't sure how it would go, but she's great. Knows her stuff and cuts out all the unnecessary stuff. She has good reviews and always emails reminders. If you don't want to put in the work in a chemistry class, WD from school. She's not difficult to understand at all.

Prof. Dominguez was amazing! Take her! I took her Fall 2020 remotely due to COVID. She used CONNECT for Lab but she usually explains first and record her class so you can always go back if you miss something. She also shares her PP (usually same as the explanations on Connect. Exams on BB not proctored. No lockdown browser either. She was great!

I wanted a woman professor because I am generally more inclined to listen to women. Professor Dominguez has yet to disappoint. HW for chapters covered is due right before test, so course is flexible w/r/t when you complete your assignments. She is also kind if you ask many questions and makes sure you understand her explanation before moving on.

Shes a great professor, tests arent proctored shes accessible outside of class. Her homework is easy, just make sure you pay attention in class it will help a lot.

This professor is a solid choice. You have to study and be on class for the lecture in order the pass this class. She do a lot extra credits tho so its helped a lot! Take her if you put in the work and you will 100% will be passed.

Professor Dominguez is very good at explaining the classes, she knows a lot, if you attend all her classes you understand everything, because this is a class that has a lot of content every day. I would definitely take another class with her again, 100% recommended.

Amazing professor all around! Lectures are clear cut, she gives lots of examples and reviews every section thoroughly. Her choice of textbook and materials is great, super understandable and minimal homework. Four mandatory, proctored exams with a choice of a cumulative final to replace a low grade. Made class feel like a breeze, take her class!

Awesome Professor! 4 proctored exams (not too hard if you study the guides), optional Final. Study guides for every chapter. HW was on Pearson and it wasn't a lot per chapter. Lectures are understandable and however she did start going faster as the semester went on. She also helps you if you have any questions. Definitely recommend her! Hm Hm!

10/10 the most AMAZING professor. I was terrified of taking this class, but she taught wonderfully. She was accessible through her office hours and would help me every single time. Her homework and tests directly correlate to what she teaches. YOU HAVE TO STUDY!!!!! her study guides were GREAT and probably the reason i passed every exam with an A.

If you need help, she will always be there. She always sends emails with Labster's due dates, and I appreciate it so much. It's an easy class if you do the labs and pays attention to the lecture.

At first it was very difficult for me to pick up information, the whole class in the beginning had a rough time picking it up. Over time I started to figure out how to follow along and learn. The homework really does help due to it being so many questions to do. Study a lot for this class and stay on track.

Her lectures were great and really helpful. The homework allowed you to understand the content a bit better. She really does give really good lectures, if you pay attention and study you should pass the class with no issue. All exams are proctored. If you really want to learn chemistry, I recommend taking her class.

I loved professor Dominguez, I took 2210 with her and I feel as if I understood everything she taught. We had 3 quizzes throughout the semester and 3 tests with 1 mandatory final. No homework but she provides study guides that are almost identical to the test. I had a great time I would recommend her 100 times

I like the professor because she's the one who likes to say - "Mm-hmm" during her lectures and office hours. Her lectures during class were quite a challenge. There are 4 tests for each college student to take. Plus, there are chapters 2-10 and 13 HW assignments on Pearson website. If any chance to take chemistry class, I guarantee you to pick her.

Ms. Dominguez's lab was a smooth introduction to these types of courses. The experiment's are simple enough and she does a good job of explaining what to do. She is strict on attendance as she takes it at the beginning and if you come after you are not allowed in. The midterm and final can be tricky, but if you study its easy. She's also very nice.

class lectures are ok sometimes homework gets really complicated but overall ok professor the test are not too hard but they are proctored. sometimes the lectures feel really fast paced and its hard to pay attention due to the fast pace but overall would take again.

Dr. Dominguez is absolutely amazing. She knows how to teach and explain in a very patient manner. If you have a question she will gladly answer and make sure you understand it. The book is EXTREMELY helpful because all the homework is based on it. She has study guides and office hours, if I could take her for all my chem classes I would.

I personally find Dr.Dominguez to be one of the best Chemistry professors at MDC i took CHM1025 lecture and 1045 Lab with her and i have had great experiences. She takes her time in explaining a topic and gives great examples. Her test are smooth if you study and know your material, as she does expect us to memorize formulas and such.

Teaches the entire time but its beneficial. Heavy accent so you may have to rewatch the videos later. Her study guides are spot on with her Test. DO NOT take the 1st test lightly, it's the easiest of the 3. She keeps your two highest grades out of 3 so do well the 1st 2 so you can avoid the most difficult one which is test #3. Test are proctored.

Doctor Dominguez is an amazing person and an amazing professor. She really wants her students to learn and succeed. Definitely take this professor, you will not regret it. Available outside of class.

Professor Dominguez is sweet and understanding. Although her chemistry classes are more difficult, she makes sure that her students can pass with exceptional grades. One little thing that might annoy/make students laugh is that she says "mhm" a lot to the students to affirm them. She knows her material, and you can trust her.

I really respected that Dr. Dominguez led a clear lab class. She lays out the safety rules and boundaries very clearly. She enforces rules kindly. She had a solid class structure and was very helpful during office hours. She's my top Chemistry professor at MDC.

Giselle Dominguez is an amazing Chemistry professor. I had her for both CHEM1033 lab and lecture. She's a strict grader. All of her test are proctored, but if you pay attention to her lectures you should done fine. She takes her time with the lectures and makes sure you understand. She's 10/10 material, would definily recommend.

I enjoyed all of the labs we had. You will need the book for the class, a lab coat, googles, and a calclator which can all be found at the bookstore. Attendance does matter, because if you are absent you would not be able to make up a lab. I will say that she is strict with her grades, but overall I loved her class.

The best professor for CHM. As long as you study and pay attention to her during class, you should be fine. Homework was on Pearson. You have to study for this class; it is not easy, and you need to put in work. Her study guides were key to the test; if you understand them, then you should be fine. Definitely take her class!

I had her for Chem lab (summer 2023) and she was amazing. As long as you have a good basis from 1025, you will do good. Make sure to pay attention, bring your materials and study. This is not a class where you can get A without putting in the work. There was a final and midterm when I had her and it was proctored. Overall, I would take her again!

AMAZING! I did not know a single thing from intro to chem and passed this class with flying colors. Great professor, answers any questions, records every lecture, has study guides for every test, 4 proctored exams, extra credit homework, removes lowest test score. You can easily boost your grade!

Dr. Dominguez helped me become a student researcher. She offers students endless possibilities, you just need to make that connection during office hours and show commitment. She wrote me a letter of recommendation that helped me get into the University of Florida, Florida State, Brandeis, and the University of Rochester.

Professor Dominguez's class was fairly straightforward. The tests were proctored, but you could find ways to get the answers. I found Unstuck study and the study guides to be very helpful for preparing. Overall, it's a doable class if you put in the work.

ACTUALLY TOOK CHM1020 general education chemistry. She is super sweet, understanding and caring. She explains as best as she can when asked to and she lets you rewatch lectures if you missed the class.

Prof Dominguez is a very caring prof who takes the time to explain the concepts well while also moving at a decent speed. If you like to color code your notes then this is the prof for you as she does exactly that when solving a problem or annotating a problem. She also tells you what tables to remember for each exam which is very helpful.

I took a 3hr course with her at 6PM. I thought I'd hate this class, but Professor Dominguez shined through. Her lectures are fast-paced, but she records them and are accessible at any time, which made studying easier. Her study guides are helpful! She's very knowledgeable on her subject. My advice is to study with classmates if possible. Mhm! :)

She's very nice and is knowledgeable about what she teaches. She provides helpful things to study like her online videos which you can rewatch, PowerPoints, and study guides. I recommend studying with a classmate though. The tests aren't too bad if you use the study guides. Hw also not that bad. She answers questions if you have any mhm! :)
