You can't get a nicer, more helpful, funnier prof. All classes fun & educational
Wow... Gladys Rocks
She is the best teacher at Palomar! She cares about all of her students greatly. You couldn't ask for a nicer teacher.
The best teacher at the Palomar.
excellent! very funny. really cares about students grasping the material. stuff you'll really use, too. the text book isn't stuffy and you save $$ because you use the same book if you choose to go on to SPAN 110.
Make sure you do all your homework if you sit near the front... awesome teacher.
She makes spanish easy. Be ready to use lots of hand gestures to help you remember vocab.
Such a funny teacher. Keeps your attention! "Vamos, Vamos"
Gladys is SO SO SO great! She really cares about her students and teaching them how to speak spanish. Her class is easy, but you really need to pay attention!
Sra. Gladys is FANTASTIC! Her class is fun and she really interacts with the students. She is so understanding when it comes to life's unexpected emergancies. She's funny, very easy to work with, and memoriable.
i had glady for span 100 & 110. SHe made Spanish 10x funner than ever. SHe hilarious, keeps you on your toes, and make you excited about espanol. Truly on of my best teachers at Palomar.
If you have her for a 50 minute or an hour and 20 minutes class, she'd be fine, but any longer and she seems to take up class time with things that could take up half the time. She isn't very organized either. Her schedule of assigments is hard to judge.
Great teacher, makes the class fun with lots of class participation. Eager to help with any questions, and very patient. Highly suggest for beginning spanish.

She is one of the best teachers that I've had. Never a negative word said to a student and always positive towards the class. Very, very, helpful and a true mentor for students taking Spanish.
she is really fun and cute and you learn too
Great teacher for Spanish! Very helpful and good at explaining things. Makes class fun and interesting. Pretty reasonable with tests, but do be sure to complete all homework and workbook assignments! Good sense of humor.
Had Gladys for 101 & 102. If you do the work and go to class and particpate she is the easiest teacher. She has fun in the class and really cares about her students. A real sweetie!
The easiest 5 credits I've ever earned. She is a sweet lady who I have never seen unhappy.
Aside from being one of the most positive, sweetest, and inspiring people i've ever met, she's also a fantastic teacher. she really wants her students to do well, pushes everyone to participate, and the work load is very fair (i was taking 18 units when i took span 110, and still did not feel overwhelmed at all). i recommend her any chance i get
Gladys is the coolest lady ever: she's really sweet and has great mannerisms. She's overall just a really cute old lady. An awesome teacher. :-)
Great teacher. Makes spanish fun even if it isn't your thing!
Gladys is awesome! One of the cutest teachers, and she cares soooooo much about her students. Just do the workbook and be in class and you're guaranteed an A or B. She's AWESOME!
Sra. Gomez is the best Spanish teacher I have ever had. She makes learning the language fun, and also points out all the interesting parts of the language. I took Spanish in high school, but I never understood the grammar until I took this class. Fun, relaxed class environment. Make sure you do your workbook.
Muchas Gracias Senora Gladys!!!! Great lady and GREAT teacher. As long as you do what she asks and show up to class and participate it is an easy A!!! She loves what she does and is good at it! Really enjoyed all of her classes, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Loves the students and is always willing to help. Wish she taught 201!!!!
Easy A, but you have to go to class and participate- she puts people on the spot, and likes to pick on the shy people. She is nice, but has an evil side
This teacher is super nice and trys to make class fun. She is a little cooky at times- forces you to participate. If you have great attendence and do your assignments the tests will be easy.
Really nice lady, genuinely wants her students to learn and enjoy class. She seems a little cheesy at first, kinda makes you feel like kindergarden again, but hey, that's what happens when you start over with your ABC's. Stick around, she is funny and will make class fun and interesting. Do your workbook, go to class, and you will get an A.
Gladys is AWESOME! She is very thorough and helps you to relate concepts to things you already are familiar with. She fosters her students along and will gladly devote extra time to cover material with those who struggle!
Gladys is the sweetest woman in the forign language dept. She like's to make spanish easy by making up formulas. Assigns homework and sometimes don't even ask to see it. Test are super easy. Lets you use flash cards. DONT LET YOUR CELL PHONE GO OFF, SHE'LL MAKE YOU BRING COOKIES TO NEXT CLASS.
Really nice teacher. Just pay attention, do all the work, and study and you'll be fine.

She does not speak english very well. Getting around HER language barrier was not something I was prepared to deal with when attending COLLEGE. Just because she is nice does not mean she is a good instructor. Didn't even have the first test until the 8th week of the semester. I cannot recommend her.

she is a very helpful instructor. Explains it until you understand it. She is willing to help you as long as you help yourself. If you don't understand after she helps you go to the lab under Span. application. Her test are not hard just study. Test out of wk book. There is no favortism in the class some may know more than others. She's a sweet la
She was a very good teacher. I speak spanish fairly well compared to others in the class, so I was taking this class to review and I still learned a lot. She really drills basic grammar, which is important. If you really listen to her, she will give you an insight on certain language structures and vocabulary that only a native speaker can give you
she was wonderful! i am not very good at spanish, but she made it easy! she was very helpful and understanding! i highly recomend her to everyone!
i took her for 101 and 102 because the class was super easy and she is the sweetest lady! BUT when i went to take spanish 201 with someone else, i was completely behind because gladys is horrible at teaching! her class was so easy that i did not learn anything at all! and she is in her own little bubble which is sometimes frustrating!
I loved senorita gomez. She is a great teacher and love what she does and it shows. At time it was hard to understand her because of her accent but she was more than will to help you if you asked. If you show up and participate you will pass her class.
I loved Gladys. She is funny and nice. It is an easy class and i totally recommend her! Pay attention and ask questions...tests are easy too...DO IT!
One word, wonderful! Senora Gomez was fair, demanding our best, and kept our interest. Very entertaining, energetic, and fun. She made this class "MY MOST REWARDING CLASS" at Palomar in 2.5 years. I learned so much and had a great time. Gracias Senora, que tenga un fantastico veraneo!
She's great. There are only three tests the whole semester and she basically lets you complete all of the homework (which is the work book) in class. Be sure to complete your lab hours early! I found myself living in the lab the last week of school. She's great. (you won't learn much, but you'll have fun!)
I took her 2 years ago. She is very friendly and pretty funny. She wants you to to well. Most homework is done in the book and is fairly easy and quick. Study the book(s) and you will do fine on the exams. Multiple choice for the most part. I think you have to spend 17-18 hours in the lab which is mandatory. Easy A, Im taking her for Span102
Im not a big fan of Professor Gomez. All she does is lecture and it makes the 2 hour class extrememly difficult to get through. When students ask a question she always gives them an unclear answer like she doesn't understand what they are asking. The class is pretty boring and she gets defensive easy. I've had better Spanish Prrofessors.
She is very funny and usually keeps the class entertained. She takes attendance pretty seriously, so try to show up for class. And don't think that you can hide in the back and not get called on. She makes everyone participate in class.
she was SO easy. the hardest part was getting through with enough lab hours. go to class, get an A, but she always takes attendance. She's pretty funny in a spanish way
She is a really nice teacher, as long as you show up for class get you lab hours and do you homework, and try your best. She will see that, she is a very helpful teacher.
I took Gladys for Spanish 101, 102 & 201. Would totally reccommend her to anyone who wants to learn Spanish... and needs it as a requirement. I have learned more Spanish in her classes than in any other Spanish class I have ever taken. She is an awesome lady who wants to help everyone learn Spanish! You'll love Gladys!!
I took Gladys for Spanish 101, 102 and 201. Easy A class, but you don't really learn anything. If you start with her, you might as well finish with her. She only teaches 201 during the summer 4-week class. 201 during the summer was rough, but got through it. As long as you show up everday, participate and get your lab hours, you'll be fine.
She is so awesome. Really helpful. Makes class incredibly fun. Seems intimidating at first but she is very funny and very witty. Class is so fun. checks homework on test days. one of the best teachers i ever had. had her for both spanish 102 & 201.
Teacher is okay, though she is big on homework. That workbook, ahhhh! The green textbook is useless at times, and her lectures can get confusing when she starts drawing arrows all over the place. But, if you have a history in spanish (like from high school), this class is easy. The three tests are easier than the homework.
She's so awesome - she made learning fun. Yes you have to do the work and show up to class but she really cares about you learning the language. I really enjoyed her classes.
This lady does it because she loves it! Awsome teacher! The laughs start on day one and go all the way through the final. She is super cute and quarky and totally unpredicatable with what she may say next. Definitely has favorites so make sure you volunteer and participate in class. Awsome lady!
She is the best teacher I have ever had for spanish. She makes the class actually interesting and funny. It's also really easy just as long as you study and do all your work. She doesn't really check for your work so much, but it's for your own benefit. She even would come in like 15-20 min. late.
I took her class over the summer, it kind of got boring at times. She doesn't care if you come in late to her class (she comes in late herself all the time), however she does know if you just skip her class all together. She plays favorites, so make sure you try and have good first impression and volunteer a lot in class. Easy A.
She is very funny and cute. The subject is boring, but she makes it more fun. Once she learns your name, she'll call on you every class (but hey, that ensures participation points!) She doesn't always check work when she says she does, but she will at the very end. We do everything out of workbook. I definitely recommend her.
Assigns work, goes over it the next day in class w/o asking u to turn it in, & assigns the same thing for the next day. says that work is due, then doesn't ask for it on that day. nice? yes. erratic? totally. repeats herself endlessly, we were bored to death. she has favorites: make sure she doesn't know your name, she won't call on you as much.
Una profesora excelente! Very cute and caring She really does care for her students and she will go out of her way to help you learn. She is very clear when she explains her course I recommend her class to anyone, you won't regret it! she is one of those professors that should get a manzana every day for being such a wonderful person and professor!
a very smart and caring professor, I loved her class. She will go out of her way to help you in class and outside of class if you need help with anything that has to do with school, which is something that not a lot of professor care to do. I recommend her class to anyone who wants to have fun while learning spanish!
Professor Gomez is very helpful to those who take advantage of her expertise. Volunteer and study and you won't have any problems. The only things she grades are exams, so be prepared. She enjoys treats, so if you wish to make a good impression with her, she definitely likes cookies.
never grades anything, assigns homework she never checks. very hard to follow, repeats herself constantly. if she doesn't know your name, she will never call on you. i didn't learn a thing, still got an A. she's the nicest teacher i've ever met, unfortunately her class is a waste of time and money.
Sra. Gomez is the nicest teacher ever. I hated spanish going in and now I love it, and its all because of her. If there is something you don't understand, raise your hand and she will be more than happy to help you. homework is assigned but not checked, its only to help you. O and don't cuss she will make you bring algunas galletas(cookies) haha
its impossible to get a perfect 100 on her exams. However, she is a great teacher, she is determined to make sure her students learn. She is a harsh grader but it's also IMPOSSIBLE to get a bad grade in her class. Volunteer to raise your hand and speak out. Ask for extra credit.
She is by far the kindest and most enthusiastic teacher at Palomar. As long as you participate(orally) in class and do your homework, there is no way you will get a bad grade. She's happy to answer any questions you have and will go over something 50 times if you need her to. She truly cares about her students and I strongly recommend her!
Prof. Gomez is VERY easy. Although she may be a little unclear sometimes, it's hard NOT to get an A. She is funny and very nice, she makes the class interesting.
Mrs. Gomez is very sweet. She cares about her students. Her class is very easy. She is sometimes hard to understand but overall the class was very easy. Not much homework in fact hardly any really. I recommend taking her class to anyone.
Gladys is a really sweet lady, and the class is super easy. However, I wouldn't recommend taking her if you're planning to become fluent in Spanish. She's great if you're just trying to reach the requirements to get your AA. She's just sort of inconsistent and skips a lot of things. Class & tests are easy, & hardly any homework
Gomez is a very sweet lady and really cares for her students, however as a professor she is extremely confusing and repetitive. She constantly forgets what she told you, and remembers what she didn't tell you, resulting in a high stress class. She comes by it honestly, and I did learn some Spanish, but I recommend taking another professor.
She is an amazing teacher. The only thing you need to know about her class,PARTICIPATE,make yourself known in the class, and you're almost guaranteed a good grade. She assigns homework to help you, trusts you do it,and doesn't feel the need to check it like you're in high school again. She trusts everyone,so show up every class, and it will pay off! ;)
Gomez is a very sweet lady and will help you if your having a hard time. Show up and participate!! If she knows your name then thats a good thing. Also do all your lab hours and you will get an A.
This teachers class wasnt easy but it also wasnt hard. I say this because she did go easy on us so that we didnt learn the material. she was hard on us. but she was always there for questions and would never move ahead of the students. she looked at us as if we were people and important. she was a great teacher and inspiration.
I have no regrets taking Professora Gomez's classes: SPAN101 and 102. She is extremely helpful, and she doesn't make you feel embarrassed in class. Her classes were fun to attend because of her great sense of humor. Do all of your assignments, participate in class, and attend class regularly then you will earn a good grade.
Easy class, she is funny so it makes it entertaining enough. She goes on and on about little things but show up to class and do the homework packets and you'll get a good grade.
She is very nice and easy, however, I feel I learned barely any Spanish and she is confusing when you try and get help
She will yell at you for taking notes while she's talking but if you're on your phone/talking she won't say anything. Do not take her if you like keeping up with your grades, structure, clarity on instructions, or learning spanish. Take her if you need easy credits.
People told me to take this class cause it's easy and it really was. You need to participate but there was maybe one or two oral presentations, which I liked, and a project at the end of the semester right before the final but it's also easy. You go in depth with the lessons and it might be boring since it sounds repetitive but it's a great class
Possibly one of the nicest ladies an professors I've ever come in contact with. She truly cares about her students and wants them to love Spanish, not just learn it. Gladys Gomez is amazing!!!!!!
Her accent, directions, and memory make the class confusing!!
She really wants you to enjoy while learning the material. She has honest care for you when you are not doing well in the class. She becomes like an adopted grandma. :)
Professor Gomez always keeps her classes fun!! If you do the homework, the flash cards, pay attention and participate in class it's an easy A!!!
Profesora Gómez was very friendly and helped all her students. She encouraged participation and made sure everyone understood the subject. I would definitely take her class again.
I took Gladys for my last two semesters of Spanish. She made it Spanish class tolerable since I hate learning that language. She really wants you to pass, even if you do horrible on her tests, she allows corrections and is always there to help. The nicest teacher I have ever had and tries to make class fun instead of boring. Take her for sure!
This class was fun. Barely any assignments and no HW just 2 exams, a final and a group presentation. She is a very kind lady who has a lot of energy. My only concern was that grades were not updated frequently, so everyone was left not knowing there status until the very end. Easy and fun class but lacks a lot of structure and organization.
Even pushing 75 years old, she makes learning a new language fun and exciting. She makes you comfortable to speak in front of the class without fear of embarrassment of getting something wrong. Supportive and helps you along quite nicely. Highly recommend her for anyone fearing it will be difficult, she made it very easy.
She is very easy going. Beware of the front row seating she like the people who sit in the front row you will be called on to answer majority of her questions all semester. She does make the class fun I would take her class again for 102.
Gladys Gomez is an amazing teacher, although the class is an easy A, you still learn a lot. Participate in the class and study a little bit and you will get an A. She's great at including the class instead of just lecturing. Fun class
I LOVE PROF. GOMEZ! She is such a sweet lady and REALLY cares about her students. I liked her approach to teaching. She had the class repeat the Spanish phrases and verbs out loud so that we could learn pronunciation. We had packets that were EXTREMELY helpful for the tests. FYI: DONT SKIP CLASS OR COME IN TO CLASS LATE!
Professor Gomez is a darling little lady that genuinely cares about her students. She wants you to understand the language and goes over everything several times. The slow pace is occasionally tedious but ensures you don't forget anything. Very good teacher, I highly recommend her!
Hands down the best Spanish teacher that I have ever had!.. She was so nice and wants all of her students to do well. The test are reasonable and her lectures are not to bad, plus she is very hilarious.. I learned a lot in this class and she has encouraged and inspired me to study abroad for Spanish.
Professor Gladys is a cute woman with high energy for her age. If you take her class do not sit in the front because that's mainly on who she picks on. Tests a fairly easy since you review them with your peers before you actually start them. And still allows correction. If you're a Spanish speaker I'd stay away from this class though. Can be rude.
I took Profesora Gomez for Spanish 102 and for 201. She is such a nice professor. If you show up to class, do the homework, and participate, you will pass. She is really funny, a very nice person, and makes the whole classroom a nice environment to be in. I highly recommend taking Gladys Gomez for Spanish!
Sra Gomez was an excellent teacher for all three semesters that i took her classes. Class participation is key, she really wants to hear you pronounce words correctly. Helping classmates is encouraged and helps for a very positive learning experience!!
Ms. Gomez wants to get information stuck in your head, so when having the class repeat after her she would have them do it several times & add hand motions. She had students read out loud to class & reread sentences 2 - 4 times. This got really annoying to me, especially going over syllabus. This caused me to fall asleep in her class several times.
Profesora Gladys Gomez is an awesome teacher. I took her for Spanish 101 and she made learning Spanish understandable. There was two tests plus a final. As long as you come to class and participate you will pass the class. She is a very sweet and inspirational teacher. I would highly recommend taking her class.
Professor Gomez was the best Spanish teacher I have ever had! She has a real heart for her students and for teaching not only the language, but the cultural aspect behind Spanish as well. She made it easy to want to come to class. She's very willing to help outside of class in her office. Easy to receive an A if you participate and come to classes.
La Proffesora Gomez is a wonderful teacher. She is one of the few teachers that truly cares about every single one of her students. She takes the time out of her day to accommodate you and wants everyone of her students to pass. I can't think of anything bad to say about her.
Professor Gomez is an amazing and very caring person, I took her for two years. Her teaching style helped me learn Spanish easy with her worksheets and patients. if you are barely getting into Spanish or need help improving it I definitely recommend her.
Great teacher and fun class! Cares about you actually learning the language. Always available after class if you have questions and easy to understand her explanations. Make sure you know how to use each chapters material or youll have difficulty with some portions of the tests. Come to class and pay attention and youll have no problem passing.
I honestly loved her . If your soft I wouldnt take her because she will pick of you (jokingly) . I would say dont sit in the first two rows because she will pick on you a lot . You have 3 test , she drops ur lowest test grade . 16 hours lab hours and a couple quizzes that dont count online . Definitely taking her for 102 and 103. But take her !!
Best Spanish professor so far and I have been taking Spanish for 5 years. She cares that you try and participation is really the only thing you get graded on. You learn through repetition in this class, it can get annoying but believe it or not that is how you learn. If she learns your name in the beginning, she will call you to answer every time.
She speaks clear Spanish and makes sure you pronounce everything right
Profesora Gomez is so awesome. She cares about her students so if you're struggling she'll help you figure it out. Easy A, just show up to class
Profesora Gomez is a true spanish speaker and really knows how to teach it. She doesn't go much into formal spanish so it's a lot easier. She calls on students a lot so be prepared to answer. I have an alright understanding of Spanish, showed up to her class, participated, studied moderately, and got a A. Would highly recommend for easy A.
Graded on class participation, so you must show up! As long as you can prove you're trying, you'll get the grade you want. Homework activities come from the textbook, but you can share with a friend. Exams are based on lectures and there is a review before you take it, guarantees a good grade. Requires 16 hrs of Lab outside of class (10% of grade).
