Good teacher, very helpful. However, communication is a problem. Also, professor changes deadlines all the time. Have to check webct everyday. If you take her, take advantage of extra credit.

Took this class in the summer. You have to attend every single class, you can't leave not even one minute early b/c she gives a quiz the last 15 min. of class, every class. You have to work in groups. On the other hand, she is nice and there is no midterm or final. Just weekly quizes, assignments and discussions.

Took this class in Summer B. You have to attend every single class because there is a quiz and there are no makeups. You have to work in groups so get the smart ones to answer the discussions. We did not use the book and only have to study the slide during class time. The questions on the quiz is not all that easy, but an easy A.

You can stell she really cares about what she does and teaching. The only problem is, that the students are not too prepared for the tests; however she works hard to let you the student knows what's going on. She's pretty good.

She is very helpful in class. Do not miss there are group assignments given in every lecture. 3 exams based on the text, 3 other exams 1 for word, 1 for ppt and 1 for excel which are worth 10% of the grade.

Teacher is helpful, but material is hard. Teacher gives great exam reviews, you should do fine on the exams if you attempt the quizzes as many times as possible and remember the questions/answers.

She is best. This class is not easy class and you do have to study, but Prof. Simpson makes your studying easier by providing templates to use to calculate the problems. Class consists of 3 Lecture Exams (online in class), 3 Microsoft Office Exams (online in class), 3 Assignments (in class), and 3 Extra Credits (in class). Nowadays, no teacher gives extra credi. Take her, I hate Math I mean hate it, but for the first time in a long time there was a teacher out there that I could really understand. I took her class online and passed she has ON CAMPUS EXAMS. She has 2 exams the midterm and final each is 35 pt of your grade. If you have any question on something you don?t understand she will help you learn.

I don't know how anyone could write anything bad about this professor. Whoever did was lazy. The book isn't necessary. Gives everything you need to pass. Great Professor! This us my second course with her (I took QMB3300). If you don't pass her class it's because YOU didn't put in the work. She makes herself accessible and truly cares for her students. The 10 minute quizzes are from a supplementary book, which you have an entire week to read and that is more than ample time to answer 8 questions.

This class is very hands on. Although attendance isn't mandatory, I would attend as she shows you how to work through the assignments. More exposure to Excel than in any of my previous courses and I found it very beneficial!

Anyone that complains about this course is basically not doing anything. The readings are not hard and she spoon feeds you for the hw and quizzes. She is extremely helpful and responds quickly to emails. The quizzes that are 10 mins can be done in less than 5 mins if you actually read go to class. Don’t buy the textbook, it’s way too expensive.

The professor is good. She is helpful and cares about her students. However, she is not soft. She has a plan and follows through with it. You can see it at the time limit for the Goal quizzes. If you work hard and group up with people the chance is high that you will be successful!

If you are good in math, then I would highly recommend taking this class online with professor Simpson. She has it organized in such a way that the book is not needed at all. Her powerpoints cover everything you need for quizzes and tests. It isn't pancake easy for an A, but I found it fair and also beneficial for its use of Excel.

She explains the reasoning and application of the material; she is very helpful and responds quickly. Excellent Professor. I never though an online class could be this good. Very clear, helpful and kind Professor. Classes are recorded so you can review them as many times. This class is kinda tough, you will need to pay attention in class and actually spend time practicing the material. but it is easy in a way because she does give a template to help with the questions. There is weekly hw and quizzes as well as a Midterm or Final. Take her class, it is a little challenging but definitely worth it.

Her class is similar to QMB3200. She has a book to read which is interesting and helps with the class. It's a novel so its not boring reading. We also played a game which wasn't so hard but took like 2 hours to complete but you can pause it. Overall, the homework and quizzes are the same, no midterm and a final.

Always willing to help. 5 homeworks(10 questions ea. 2pts total) , 5 quizzes (10questions ea. 4pts total), a short project, midterm and final 30 questions each. She gives extra credit opportunities. graded homework and quizes that are based on homework problems. basically same thing. the concepts are not easy, period. so had to pay attention to details. however no formulas used, everything was done thru excel. so basically its an Excel class, you needto plug in some values and get the result, while she gives you all the HOW-TOs and Manuals

Easy class. She provides the excel templates for problems, all you need to do is know what template to use for what problem. (She lets you use these templates and three pages of notes for midterm and final). She goes over homework and quizzes (all online). There is one easy excel project. She also gives extra credit. I ended with 100% in class.

Prof Simpson is simply amazing. Very sweet person, very clear on what she expects. This is NOT an easy subject, I was really scared to take the class and I ended up with an A. Professor Simpson was very good at her job. Bi Weekly adobe connect meetings to go over hw problems. The other weeks there were meetings on campus to discuss the goal book. This class is fairly easy to pass if you watch all the connect meetings and read the book. The game was a little difficult but nothing too bad. Overall very good professor.

Overall Professor Simpson was AMAZING! She cares about her students and provides clear, thorough lectures to assist in biweekly quizzes and homeworks. She also assigns another biweekly quiz based on a novel and a game module. The novel is great and I learned a lot from the game modules. I've never had a professor that has cared as much as she does.

This game is the hardest part of the class since you need to meet the objectives, but it is doable. If you do not do your work do not expect a good grade

Professor Simpson is a very fair professor, I have had the privilege to take her for QMB and now for management online. Don't expect an easy A but the A is very attainable if you do the work. She makes the class was easy as she can by giving excel templates for the calculations. All you have to do it learn how to use them (which is not hard).

Best Professor ever!! really easy to take and all her homeworks and quizes are basically a gimme. she posts a how to video for the HW and if you use it then guarantee A for you. exams just like review and the business sim is easy. the only thing to worry about is reading "The Goal". But its an okay book and you do learn from it.

Professor Simpson is a good professor. She is very clear, the homeworks she literally walks you through every single one. One exam only (Final), 6 HW, 6 quizzes (exactly like HW) and reading an interesting book. She gives extra enough extra credit to bump you half a letter grade. If you didn't get an A in this class is because you didn't want to.

This class is somewhat frustrating because there are much easier professors that teach it but their classes fill up fast. The bulk of this class is made of hw and quizzes, make sure to get perfect scores on those because the final is tricky and there is NOT enough time given for it at all. Professor is supportive and will answer all your questions.

She has videos on how to answer every question on the homework, powerpoint reviews and excel sheets to plug in the necessary numbers and you will find the answer. She is amazing and very helpful. basic online course, quizzes, homework and a book you have to read. She literally posts videos CLEARLY explaining how to solve all problems. There is this "game" you play that is pretty annoying. If you don't know basic excel functions (auto sum and copy paste) don't take this course but that's basic at this stage in your college career.

A 8-10 questions per: 1 quiz & 1 HW biweekly from lecture; 1 quiz from novel book and 1 game biweekly (6 in total each). Game is doable! She drops 1 lowest grade from all, extra credit, 1 Final. The final did not have enough time at all! It resulted in a bad grade in the class despite doing well on all the homework!

Great teacher. i took her Man4504 class in summer A. It was a lot of work, all somewhat easy but timeconsuming. I took her QMB3200 class as well, she is very helpful, understanding and very clear and specific on assignments. Exams are based on homeworks and quizzes that are clearly explained. Just follow the guidelines and you will pass.

The class is time-consuming, since it was a six-week class, but it is not difficult. She has videos that clearly explain how to solve problems for homework. Quizzes mirror the homework. Final mirrors homework and quizzes. She gives Final exam reviews. Final accounts for 35% of your grade. She gives 4% extra credit. The game is pretty simple.

Professor Simpson is amazing, she is there to help if you ask for it. I enjoyed her class this summer, definitely a caring and patient professor. In the class we played this game that took what we learned from the book and put it into practice with a way to see how it works in the real world.

Simplifies everything. Literally all you have to do is show up and follow along as she shows you how to solve everything using excel templates she has made for you. Took professor Simpson in a 12 week mini-term and it was great. She went the extra mile by offering optional study sessions in the middle of the week . Professor Gladys is a very nice teacher. She knows her stuff but you have to pay attention in class or watch her re-recorded lectures if you can't make it (thats a plus but it is super long 3 hour class). Other than that, pay attention, once you know how to do the things in class. The excel templates are given for you to do the quizes and HW.

Took this class online during the summer. The Professor had a good plan for the course. Grading was fair and Prof provided videos and templates to help understand the HW and Quizes. Good experience overall. If you need more time take in the Fall or Spring otherwise good class to take with Prof.

No this class is not an easy A.. I've realized that students have no work ethic. I've never had a Professor like Professor Simpson. She cares so much about her students and has given us every resource possible to succeed. Yes, you need to put in work, but it is do able. Took this in Summer A and it was VERY fast paced, but she gives you EVERYTHING you need to pass her exams. You will want to show up to class in order to understand how to use her excel templates that she also lets you use on quizzes and tests. She is above and beyond! Her teaching was amazing and the things you learn can be applied in real life.

there is alot of work and time you need to dedicate for this class but if you show interest,try & actually put forth your time you will pass. She helps those who want to learn and succeed but does not give hand-outs- you have to earn it. If you pay attention, ask questions and communicate with her she will do her best to help you learn&pass.

Amazing and caring professor, get ready for a lot of homework but youll learn a lot from this class. All exams and quizzes use excel. Weekly quizzes/Homework and in class exercises.

Great professor, takes the time to make recordings of the lectures to walk you through the lessons. Lectures were VERY helpful & she provides excel templates to help with hw & quizzes. Multiple quizzes, games, HW assignments & quizzes on a book:The Goal + Proctored final! Offers extra credit as well; not an easy A, you have to work for your grade

She is one of the greatest professors I have had the opportunity to take. She really cares about her students and makes an effort to help each student in and out of class. She does a great job at explaining the materials in her lectures. Make sure you go to class and pay attention and you should be fine!

You have to watch a 2 hour lecture every week, this is the only way to do good in the class. You will have one week HW and participation and another week a quiz and a participation and that is for each of the modules so in reality you will spend 2 weeks in each module. Midterm and final are both proctor-u but she gives a review for it.

Yes, you need to watch her video in order to pass the class. It's a lot of work and time but you will learn a lot but you have to put time for this class as most of the quizzes and homework are done in excels. Midterm and final are excel but she gives a good review.

I never attended class since she records the classes and you can watch anytime and re-watch if you did not understand something. There is Homework and quiz every other week. There is midterm and final. If you watch the videos and do the problems along with her that is all you need to pass the class.

She is a very nice professor. You're going to work in her class. Her lectures are really long. I never understood what she was explaining but I passed. If you do her work & pay attention to the questions you'll be able to pass. She has recordings of her class which helps to do assignments. She also provides study guides for midterms & final!

Gladly Simpson is the best math professor In my study experience . I dont know what her class did to me , I used her class knowledge to do stocks ( I gain 43 bucks in one day , I havent taken any finance class yet ). Also , I love the way how she taught the material, excel is useful but logical . I will take her class again soon

Took her for Summer A. Weekly HW (Pearson) and Excel assignments worth 25% each, 2 proctored Exams on Excel (25% each). There were issues with the submission format for Midterm, format issues reported with Final. Her teaching methods are not so clear, but you can get a good grade if you practice.

This is not the easiest class, but she makes videos that show you step by step how to complete the assignment. The midterm & final are very close to the practice exams she provides. Complete the weekly assignments, practice the midterm & final multiple times and make a good cheat sheet, you will get an A in the class.

I'm a full time employee a mom of three little kids and I pass her class with an A+. I am not genius I just pay attention and do what she said. She gives EC opportunity, quiz homework excel assignment once per week. 2 proctored exams with clear review. Bad reviews maybe from lassi folks

This class is not easy, however if you do everything Dr. Simpson tells you to do and put in the time since it's a MBA class you will do fine. If you do the minimum and expect to get an A - not gonna happen. Too many people complain but don't put in the time. And yes you are expected to have basic Excel skills it's a MBA class folks.

Took her for summer A. She literally has templates for every assignment along with videos to solve excel problems and pearson hw provides examples too. Her practice midterm and final are very similar almost the same to the actual ones. She is very nice and I will definitely take her form QMB4680.

Summer A - Prof. is a little bit disorganized but was always flexible with submitting late hw or giving "grace periods" to submit assignments. Overall, really good professor and provides templates and videos for almost everything. Also, participation quizzes every class.

Great professor. She gives walk-through videos for literally all of the homework we do. The practice exams are exactly like the actual exams. Also can use a cheatsheet on the exam. She hosts weekly (recorded) zoom meetings to answer any questions/discuss hw. The class was so straightforward that I'm taking her again next semester for QMB4680.

Doctor Simpson was a super caring smart professor. She was teaching a class that was not easy at all but did her best to make it understandable and provided templates and videos for all problems. I did 4 stars because of her proctoring. She is very concerned with cheating and uses 3 proctoring programs for each exam which overheats your computer.

Professor Simpson exceeded my expectations. She is very helpful, responsive, accessible and provides step by step videos for HWs. There's a proctored midterm & final which she prepares you for with practice exams. There's 5 quizzes, 5 mylab HWs, 5 Excel assignments, 5 linkedin learning assignments. There's also EC opportunities. Take her!

In this class you work in Excel to do analysis & use various formulas. There's a proctored midterm & final, weekly HW assignments and extra credit opportunities. Workload is very manageable. Many students complained about the professor b/c the content is challenging but the professor provided lots of resources to help us. You get what you put in.

Don't listen to the bad ratings, they probably did not even put any effort in the class. Professor Simpson really does a great job going through the lessons and ensures that we understand the material. I was not into Excel at all before I took her first. You will be more than prepared for the exams since the practice ones are almost identical.

She is one of the gems the business department at FIU has. She gives a class participation quiz similar to the homework. Every week she alternates between an excel assignment and mylab, and put up a video. She gives two exams: mid-term and final, with practice exams before. What more do you guys needs? She is just awesome and also gives templates.

Professor Simpson is a great choice for QMB 3200. Grading is based on participation quizzes, 5 excel modules, 5 pearson mylab modules, and midterm + final. Class is not hard but you do need to review the excels.

If you have a QMB course take it with her. Easiest tests in the professor in the department.

She provides videos explaining the lectures, homework, and Test Reviews. The test Reviews are similar to the actual Midterm and final. Practice it a lot because she changes a few things around the reviews like the back of your hand. She is demanding for the assignments. She is a solid choice to pass QMB 4680 you just have to put in effort.

I took both QMB3200 and QMB4680 with her. She's amazing, a true expert in the content of her lectures. I learned so much from her classes. If you want to grasp a good content of Excel, she's your go-to!

She is caring and wants you to pass. Ask her if you need extensions, she will work with you. Lots of extra credit. Its tough at first but keep practicing and put in the work. It will then become an easy A. Her reviews are almost identical to the midterm and final. Just do the work and it will be worth it. At the end, learned alot about excel.

Long and weekly assignments. Have to pay very close attention in class and attend tutoring hours, but once you get the grasp of the course it becomes way easier.

Shes honestly a really good professor and will help you if she sees that your willing to put in the work. She has lots of extra credit opportunities and office hours if you have questions ab hw. The excel HW have videos & her test are very similar to the reviews. Just put in the work and connect with people who want to pass & can help you out etc

This course is alot & work needs to be done, so you have to put the time to do the assignments each week. She provides two different sets of videos to do the assignments step by step. Super easy if you give yourself enough time to do the work. She is caring, she extends homework and gives lots of extra credit. Her reviews are the same as her test.

The only hard part about the course was doing the Mcgraw Hill homeworks because there is no hints or examples to help. Other than that for the excel assignments and tests reviews she provides step by step videos to show you how they are done. The midterm and final are very similar to the practice reviews and you are allowed to use 1 sheet of notes.

I took this professor for both QMB3200 and QMB4680 and highly recommend her. As long as you do the work, you'll be able to pass the class. She provides a practice exam before the actual tests and they are EXTREMELY helpful. I personally believe she assigned a lot of work compared to other classes but it was still doable. Take her if you can!

First time excel user. Midterm 20%, and final 25%, proctored using honorlock and then phone on zoom behind you. Youll struggle at the start but over time it gets easier to learn. This is one of the few classes I've actually learned from. Professor is very nice, but course is not very excel beginner friendly. You will learn, but it ain't easy.
