A very nice guy. Dr. Baghdasarian made an unbearable class, bearable. He is enthusiastic about chemistry, but most of all he knows what audience he has and caters his lectures to it. You will not be disappointed if you take him. Overall, an enjoyable class.
Dr. Glen made Chemistry easy. He is very helpful, all you have to do is ask. He made the class interesting and relevant. Take his class, you won't be disappointed.
I really agree with those guys previously posted their comments here. If u r kinda nervous taking a chem class, take his class. It's stress-free!
Dr. B is very very helpful. He takes time to explain difficult topics as many times as needed. He wants us to understand the material and not just memorize it! He provides uselful and relevant examples which we can relate to, to better understand. A+ Professor!!! Best Chem Prof at LACC
amazing teacher. not easy but his enthusiasm for subject is infectious. really cares about his students!!!! he does a lot of problem solving review. highly rec for premeds
He is friendly and helpful. Or at least, he tries to help, but he cannot. Some people that are knowledgeable in the subject, are just horrible in teaching it. He is unable to deliver that material and explain it clearly. Very frustrating class. If you are taking it, you are on your own
He's ok. Don't know that I would recommend him. He's an interesting guy whose passion for the subject managed to interest me in chem; I hated it prior to this class. However, he often rushes through explanations, confusing many students. Last, he actually solves problems in class but jumps almost immediately into very hard problems, no build up.
Great teacher! Made chemistry easy to understand.
He is Great! Willing to help if you just take the time to ask. He is very funny and made the class fun.
He is the best chemistry professor ever. Loved his teaching style.
smart and fair. he made us laugh and at the same time learn. best prof in lacc. he is cute too.
If you take chemistry with him, you need to study by yourself with textbook.. His lecture is not helpful and he only has midterm and final, without any extra credit works..His test is not easy.. I think I'm trying my best to get a C...so sad.
He's a good professor. He follows his syllabus and the class text book, but also incorporates many day to day examples in his lectures. He wants us to learn and not memorize. Very helpful during office hours too and quick to respond to any questions by e-mail.
He is the coolest guy ever. Has some lame jokes but is one of the most approachable prof on campus. Explains things clearly and does lots of problems on board so that the material is understandable. Still a hard class though. He has only a midterm and a final. I recommend this prof to everybody.
This Prof. is happy to answer any of our questions. Very approachable, even by e-mail, not like the other Chem professors on campus. He makes the subject interesting and tells you how you can apply it even to your regular daily life. His exams are fair if you pay attention in class.
The class was intimidating at first, but as the semester progressed, the foundation laid by the first few chapters put the remaining chapters into better perspective. Glen is a really approachable, down-to-earth professor. The class isn't entirely "easy," but with enough effort and dedication and patience, you will be rewarded. I promise.
He's a bike ridding speedo rocking machine.... this dude is Gangster!
Whoever is looking to go to a UC, they wont baby seat you there, you have to be equipped enough, because its a quarter system and its only 55 minutes for a hard ass exam, so you wanna get ready, you take Dr. B, the guy knows what he is doing. Teaching the class at UC level, you master him, you are prime A stuff for UC. He's simply the best
good prof and good class learned a lot already. it helps that he is easy to look at
Just finished this class for Summer session yesterday. So I wanted to write this review before I receive my grade, becuase honestly it doesn't matter what grade I get..This professor is awsome!!!I took this class for a nursing pre-req but by the end of the course I seriously looked/appreciated at Chemistry in a different way. And yes..He's HOT!!
I took this prof. over the summer (5 weeks) Cool prof, he teaches the class well. Creates a good foundation! Once the class gets into the real chemistry makes sure to stay on top of your work the class will go fast. Study and practice and you'll do well!
He tells a lot of good stories to go with his lectures. Just take good notes and study, study, study. Chemistry is probably one of the hardest subjects so you'll need to study a lot. Only issue is that he's full of himself and sometimes won't grade fairly.
Great class. Not easy but worth the work. If you are the type to slack off forget Glen.
He is hard he made me work so much, my head is still spinning. i learned a lot and hope he can add me in his 102 class. great guy who expects a lot and demands the most. don't know what I will get yet but i do know what i have learned
Hes a great teacher, just stay on top of your work. hes very helpful and grades very fairly. Just make sure to keep up with the work because it is a very hard subject. You have to work very hard in this class but hes very helpful.
Amazing teacher! It would be a better science world if all science teachers were like him! he not only teaches well but his life examples and stories are good addition to the course doesn't make it boring! He's a very chill prof.
Glen has a informal teaching style and it works. The class was hard but I worked hard and did Ok. I will transfer now and know I will be Ok. If he stops wearing shorts he could look even better.
The class is not over yet but I find myself more and more intrigued. am getting killed but am learning so much about what I am actually capable of. He is funny and smart, at the same time really down to earth. Cant go wrong taking him.
Good class. I struggled a lot and wished it was not as fast paced. Overall it was a amazing learning experience. Recommend him but be prepared to work like a dog.
hard class but enjoyable. he is brainy and kind sort of makes him hot
Fun class, we are learning so much more than just chem. Recommend him a lot. A lot of work in the summer but not so bad. Full review upon end of class.
Good lecturer. Terrible lab instructor- you're on your own. Spends a great deal of time talking about himself and offering unsolicited advice.
He is extremely smart guy and interesting person. Professor B. is also a good example of educational triumph.
Nobody will read book, does all exercises and labs instead of you. So, you will receive an A only if you will read and understand ALL chapters, if you will solve ALL problems after every chapter (some of them even several times), and if you will understand what’s going on during labs. It was my way to receive a good grade. Good luck!
Good luck! Believe me one day you will go to say THANKS to such Professors like Glen for their attempt to show how difficult but reasonable this way to success.
If he could refrain from going off on tangent during most of his lectures(making offhanded remarks) and being condescending when students ask for clarification,he would be an amazing professor.I think he explains concepts well, however these things overshadow his skills for explaining ochem. You are on your own for lab. Finally, practice and practice!
Good class, full of real life examples from the text. Really tough exams. Just make sure you work hard. He is really smart and approachable.
GLENCOCO! Before I begin. OCHEM is NOT an easy class, so if you expect an easy class.Don't become a doctor, pharmacist, PA & all that other good stuff. U want a teacher who is knowledgable & has done decent research, i.e., GLEN. I studied my effing brains out. "No HW", hard tests but fair, class not mand., but i do not advise that you skip.
A very difficult class that rewarded me with plenty of knowledge and problem solving skills. Glen is easy going and hard at the same time. Difficult to explain. Take him and work if you want anything out of ochem. Yes, he's good looking.
Glen is a chill and funny guy. He is very smart and knows this subject well. His class are not mandatory which is good cause his lectures are not that helpful. Getting an A is doable if you are willing to read the chapters and do all the problems in the back. You just have to be willing to study and put the work in. I'm sure it's the same as 102.
Good lecturer, with some funny inputs. Really changed the way I look at science in general. Take him if you want to be pushed.
Glen is the most BRILLIANT professor I have ever had. I will say this honestly: TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO LEARN! He is extremely friendly, but he EXPECTS 100% from you. However much effort you put into his class, that will be your reward. I received a B, but only because I didn't put in "A" effort. Take him, and your perspective on things will change
A hard class with a difficult subject matter. It's a lot of work but I'm getting the stuff. He's a great lecturer and one of the smartest men I've ever met.
Glen is easy laid back, and approachable but at the same time a bit condescending when you ask for clarification or to repeat something. He goes through material at a fast pace and expects you to understand at least 80% of what ever he taught in the last lecture within 4-5 days. So be prepared to work hard and dedicate all your time to studying
If you want a professor who actually cares about real education , a professor who knows his stuff and not just regurgitating information from a book then look no further. He will challenge you and get you to think critically, he will teach on the same level as UC Berkeley. Be warned, this course is a marathon and you don't want to fall behind.
It should be noted that I don't know have my grade yet, but need to front my review. Amazing guy with a heart of gold. Smart as hell and doesn't belong at LACC. Take him if you want real lectures. Learn real things. I've learned so much I'm amazed at how I can work problems. Take him if you care about learning. He's hot and manly.
Probably one of the hardest classes I have EVER taken but in a good way. He loves to see his students works their butts off because he knows we can but not many professors actually push us. He is always willing to help, but only if he sees that you are genuinely trying. He is such a great person too! Take him, but ONLY if you are willing to study.
I had a different experience with Glen than most reviewers. Yes, he is a cool guy, the type you'd want to have a drink or two with. But would you want him as your ochem instructor? Up to you. He speeds through seemingly important concepts without really elaborating or explaining. Felt like I wasn't learning much from him.
Glen has a interesting take on how chemistry knowledge impacts day to day routines. I would take him again, he pushed me to my limits and now I am taking the second part elsewhere and appreciate what he did for me. The class is fast but manageable. Make sure not to fall behind. The level of the class is high, expect to work.
Learned more about myself and how hard I can work. This class opened my eyes and I will be taking 212 with Glen. Eye opening experience.
Great first time experience to see 'B' in my transcript. It's true. Eye opening experience. He answers your questions but not very helpful. I think he tries to help you to pass the class but not enough guidance to finish the class successfully. It's also my first time experience to leave a comment about the professor. Amazing experience.
This was a hard course. Need more time to full understand course but I m a chem major and this class was super important to my goal. He is great and smart professor that help when asked.
Took 211/212 with Glen. Marathon courses. Hard and demanding but worth it to me. TAKE THIS CLASS SERIOUSLY and you will get more than you think out of it.
Best professor at LACC . If you want and education, take Glen.
He is a great teacher. Be prepared to work hard to get a good grade but you will definitely learn a lot from his class. For those who major in science or applying for professional schools, his way of teaching makes you think outside of the box. Take advantage of the office hours, you can ask him anything, he is friendly and very knowledgeable.
This professor is incredibly intelligent, however, he doesn't break down the material well enough to understand. If you want to know the material, read the book. The best thing to do is to read the chapter BEFORE going to lecture, that way you can follow lectures better. Spend more time with the book and less time with labs. Participate in class.
This class was very hard. It made everyone change the way they think about higher education. Glen is outrageously gifted. I learned chemistry the hard way. Exams are very fair but initially they seem very hard, until you see the answers, then you just want to kick yourself. Take him if you really want to learn.
No matter who you take Organic with, it's going to be demanding. Glen is funny at least, and very down to earth an approachable. I'd take him again.
Great and helpful professor. Really tries to help you pass the course. With that said, the class was still tough as h*ll, but then again, it's ochem so regardless who you take it with, the difficulty doesn't/shouldn't change, but he really tries to help you understand the concept. Take his class, you'll learn more than you expect to.
all I can say is that he is special. takes the tough love approach and motivates.
First of all if youre looking for an easy Ochem class, you wont find one. Hes probably the best ochem teacher in the district. He teaches you the same way a UC would. His tests are hard BUT if he sees you trying your hardest, if takes that into consideration. He is a great teacher and always willing to answer any Q's. Very easy to talk too.
Fun and at the same time charismatic and incredibly intelligent. He is hot too. Take him if serious. If not, do yourself and him a favor and don't take him. Learned so much. Too bad I can't take him with me to the next destination.
He is not able to explain the stuff in a way the students can understand. His lectures are very confusing and off topic. He gets distracted from the topic and talks about useless stuff. I do not recommend him at all. It is ridiculous that he thinks he is the best professor ever.
I took this over the summer; he isn't the typical community college professor where he treats you like a child and coddles you if you don't understand something. He expects you to read/come prepared to class and will answer questions you from your studies. He curves the grades and prepares his own tests. It's easy to get a B/C, hard work for the A.
O-CHEM is not easy, STUDY STUDY STUDY!! This class was no joke, if you're not serious about a high-level course, stay away. He teaches at a very high level, and provides enough information beyond O-chem to succeed. Take ownership in your learning and you'll do well.
HE IS THE BEST! I had him for a chem lab course and he was the best. Funny, caring, and full of life lessons. He is now the chair of the Chemistry department so he will listen to any concerns you have with the science department. A true inspiration to any future scientist.
Highly intelligent and funny. He has a presence about him but he is down to earth. He lectured a few times because he was our main lab guy and it was a joy learning from him. He explains well and looks good doing it.
He teaches the course like you've already taken it before. Ochem is already hard as it is, but he enjoys making it harder. Doesn't touch on the basics in depth, merely reviews them as if you already know. Calls himself a tough lover but in reality, he just seemed too lazy to actually teach. A great guy though. Hilarious, smart, and charismatic.
He is funny, smart, and charming, but teaches Ochem like you've already took it before. Do not recommend if you are a first time OChem taker; he doesn't break down concepts easily and well. You'll do all of the studying on your own (say good bye to studying for other classes). That's the reason his students say they learned a lot from his course.
Teaches Ochem like you've already taken it before and are knowledgeable in the subject. You'll be spending most of your days self-studying to understand the material because he doesn't break them down for you. Then the exams are on another level. Do not recommend for first-time Ochem takers who want to get a good grade.
Glen is very knowledgable, smartest guy I've ever met. Ochem is hard and he tries to help you understand the material, rather than just passing you. His tests are hard and requires you to be creative. He has 3 tests total including the finals. I strongly encourage doing practice problems from the book and go to offce hours, it helps A LOT.
He expects you to know everything when you come into class. You must learn the material ahead of time and instead of teaching he just solves problems. He doesn't take small steps to teach but rather sprints and just gets through everything. Overall tough class, but it's best to learn on your own. He will help you outside of class.
Professor Glen is not to be taken lightly. A solid choice if you want to try for medical school or anything. He is funny and as very smart. He lectures on the chapter that he expects you to read before hand then solves problems the next session. Class is fast and furious. He for sure commands respect and really cares.
Expect to work the hardest you've ever done, and I mean investing almost every weekend to get an A. It felt like learning a new, difficult language. It's so hard, but once you get the basics, you can self-study fine. Ask Glen to give more hw problems. You must get used to the way he reasons and answers the problems. Do other profs' extra probs too.
Toughest class I've ever taken. Understanding a new language is tough, but once you get the hang it goes well. You are expected to have read the chapter, but he's human and explains things in lecture. Still don't understand, go to his office hours. This is a no life class and he teaches at the UC level, so that involves a lot of self study.
Glen, the rare professor that wants you to understand material instead of memorize. Be prepared to study as if your life depended on it. He dislikes people who always ask about their grades. You won't know your grade until after finals. If you don't get that he made your life easer by lifting that weight off your shoulders, then you don't get him.
Honestly, one of the best classes I have ever taken. He expects to read and preview the materials before coming to class, and I think such a request is absolutely fair to be asked as a college student. It was frightening, and there obviously were rumors about his class. However, in the end, he guides our success. You'll learn "discipline."
Incredible professor. Makes a huge difference when the professor enjoys their own life and cares about students and education. Hardest class I've ever taken and also the best one.
A very hard class that took a lot of getting used to. "Glen" as he likes to be called is the smartest person I have ever met. He is funny and good looking. He commands respect and hard work. Wish I could be in his current 212 class but other circumstances won. He is worth every lecture. You will learn chemistry and you will learn skills.
Glen will 100% change the way you look at everything, he is the most interesting and smartest person you will ever meet. the material is of course unbelievably hard but you will truly understand it with glen instead of just memorizing stuff. I don't recommend taking other hard classes tho, this class is very demanding.
This is a GREAT class. A great professor. But you will WORK HARD. Ochem is difficult. Glen is easy to get along with and is willing to share his knowledge. Tough grader. He seems to forget we students have other classes too! Would still recommend. Best teacher at LACC.
Professor Glen is an awesome professor. He can be very strict at times, but he is very lenient in the end. His chem 060 class only consists of 3 exams, and the lab. Therefore, there is no extra credit given and you have to practice a lot in order to get to know the subject well. He is an awesome professor and I will take him again. :-)
Glen is a great professor! Not an easy pass, but just participate, pay attention, and do the problems over and over. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Grade was based on only 4 exams and no homework, but you have to do problems on your own time to pass.
Uses a specific teaching style that is unique to him only. He said himself that the way he teaches isn't even found on youtube. He expects you to be VERY sharp on your chemistry. If you don't understand his lectures, good luck. He also skips naming organic molecules which is needed for the MCAT.
I truly think that in person he might be a better professor, but taking him online is a horror show. He doesn't allow recording lectures/use any slides, and all he tells us to do is look at textbook. There are 3 exams that are worth 75% total grade and the averages on those were LESS THAN 20% AVERAGE!! OChem never seemed so impossible until "Glen".
Needed to review him before my grade was received. His lectures are well thought out and the examples are very informative. He is gifted, it is obvious from the explanations he gives in class. I will take him for 212. He has changed the way I study and look at school. Funny how the only two bad reviews below came on test days. haha
This class is a joke. The tests are so difficult no one passes. His teaching style is very poor. Get ready to learn on your own. This guy just spends his time bragging and talking off topic. If you want to actually learn go somewhere else. Wish I had gone with another professor. Will ruin your confidence in the subject.
If you're a student who is genuinely interested in transferring to a UC school and going forward to Dental school, Med school, PhD, etc. I highly recommend Glen. He is very educated on the topic and easy to talk to. I recommend attending office hours with him and the imbedded tutor. He does everything he can to accommodate the online situation.
Easiest professor EVER! Slept through all the lectures and still passed Ochem with an A. This class was straight chillin.
No doubt, the hardest class ever, but also the most rewarding. Glen has a lot of experience in the field and is always willing to share it. He's cutthroat and gets straight to the point, but he definitely prepares you for transferring (and apparently for grad school too). I wish I took him in person instead of online.
I don't recommend this class if you care about your GPA. He doesn't give study guides or assigns hw. After reviewing all the q&a's in the ch, the tests are still so hard. Someone asked him how to prepare for the exams, he said "when you are in the field of chem, your answers will not come from a book." 3 exams worth 25% of your grade each.
RUN! Choose any other professor. If you dont already have knowledge in chemistry dont bother taking it. Its like he forgot we were an intro course. Most of the class failed because of how difficult it was and because of a dumb technicality. You have 3 exams which count for 3/4 of your grade so your homework is basically worthless. Dont do it.
Glen is not bad. This class is very hard, so if you are looking for an easy A, this is not it. He goes over the lesson at the beginning of class, does a couple of problems, but its not whats on the test. The test is really hard and he will not tell you what's on it. If you are respectful n try ur best then the curve will work in ur favor possibly
Be prepared for this class as it is difficult. This professor goes deep in-depth about Chemistry, although he is a tough grader. All he expects is respect and to do well.
He pretends like he knows everything, but students always catch him making mistakes. Might be because of an online class but not a great lecturer at all. Very dull and bad at explaining even the simplest concepts. Never responds to emails. His tests were just 5 questions with like 20 multiple choice options. Would never take again.
Excellent class. Took the previous online class and now the in person class. Highly respected and respected. A lot of work in the class but worth it. We are all sad but glad it is ending.
I dropped the class because of lecture but lab was great with prof glen. Easy going and fun to talk to
This was a hard class but helpful on many levels. He is very smart and that is important in orgo. Be prepared to work and go fast. Glen is also a kind person for what its worth
Tests are hard but fair and u will learn more than u think. Prof is knowledgable and tries to pass it down. Dont miss class he breaks down the concepts in a meaningful way. Ask questions. Almost everyone liked him, he has this weird hot vibe.
If you want to succeed in this class, and all other science classes, just learn the material. Respect it and give it time. Glen will guide you towards this.
The class moves slow in the beginning but picks up later. Lectures are very informative and he puts in extra methods of solving the problems. Excellent course that inspired me to change majors into one of the sciences.
Professor Glen is a very smart person but his class is a bit difficult. Be prepare to study and ask questions in difficult parts. Your grade is composed of 3 tests but they're also curved which helps but only so much. Overall, he is very knowledgable, kind and great to talk to. His class is fun and he makes chemistry fascinating.
I waited to the end of the semester to give an actual rating of Glen. I believe he is a great chair person for the chemistry department. This class should be taken if your ready for college rigor, I heavily recommend to open the book and study all the problems on the back get familiar with chemistry.I wish you a good luck taking the class, motivate!
Professor Glen, very smart, very kind, knowledgeable, good looking and great to talk too. The class is not easy, try to do all the problems at the back of the each chapter and you'll do good. Just don't miss the class even though attendance is not monitory.
Glen is a great professor. He really does care & does his best to help but only if you're trying. Although attendance is not mandatory, show up. He knows who comes to class & who doesn't. We had 3 exams, personally the exams are fair. Everything at least looked familiar, even though I couldn't always figure out how to answer the questions lol.
He is very knowledgeable on the chemistry and the real world. An uncanny ability to explain detail. He is multiple steps up compared to other ochem professors. The class is full serious students and they all respect him.
Professor Glen is one of my favorites so far at LACC. His lectures are enjoyable and hilarious. I thoroughly looked forward to the class. An A is doable if you work hard and you will notice the growth in your problem solving skills. He teaches and dresses very well.
Lecture is everything, ask a million and one questions. Get to know the prof and show him you're willing to work hard, and he'll help you learn the material. He is very smart and tests are insanely difficult, but he goes over them afterwards which helps. Helped me prep for the MCAT.
Hes got a delicately chiseled face and cleans up nicely. Looks off the runway when he dresses up. Then he opens his mouth and out comes humor and deep knowledge. He can be overwhelming but in a good way. Best science class ive taken and can recommend him to anyone. Just study study study.
Have solid chemistry courses before this class. Glen has a strong understanding of the material. Often the lectures went very detailed then back to a simple explanation. The class very safe and totally non judgmental at the same time he has full iron control over the class. A lot of works so do not fall behind! He is crazy smart but humble.
So kind and generous professor. Though the attendance is not mandatory but he will notice who is working really hard. Exam is fair but tricky. Class performance also matters for grades.
Dr. Glen is a great instructor he follows the class syllabus and he is very organized. If someone does not understand something in lecture he tries his best to make them understand. I would definitely recommend this instructor to other students.
Throughout my entire academic and professional career I have never met someone like Glen. His course is a must if you are looking for being prepared for medicine. He gives a very systematic approach to problems and is realistic towards your pathway. He has that charm and it factor. Don't miss class. not worth it. Go to office hours.
Professor Glen is knowledgeable and engaging, but the class is quite challenging. Attend lectures, use the textbook, and try Unstuck AI - it really helped with study prep. Overall, a tough but rewarding course.
Going to class is important even if I did not go much. The class moves quick. Prof. Glenn is incredibly intelligent and he breaks things down very nicely. Too bad he is not doing 102 next semester.
Probably the hardest class I've taken. I know now that science is not my vibe. Lectures are tied to the real world and always with a comical twist. He has this character that makes you want to have a beer with him. Genuinely good dude who makes coming to class a pleasure.
The class is straight forward. Participate, study and work on the problems he teaches in class, and ask questions. Through this you will be able to engage and retain more of the information he presents in lectures. His humor keeps the lecture entertaining while going over dense topics. You get what you put in, it will show on your test scores.
This is not for the faint hearted, Glen is tough but he is tough because he cares. He demands a work ethic in this course because most individuals who register for this class need this course for their post grad programs. He will prep you to think in that manner as well.
Dr. Glen is a excellent lecturer and takes his class very seriously. At the same time there's a lot of humor in the class. Readings before lecture and problem solving are the way I did well. He is charismatic and has a soft European accent with him. Very smart and engaging. But make no mistake he demands you full effort.
He pushed us pretty hard. The lecture piece was always fun and the topics are related to the world around us. He is easy on the eyes and doesn't take himself too seriously. A tougher course than I expected but hey this is chemistry. Make sure to ask questions in class and do problems.
Really energetic during class which keeps you on your toes. Great lecturer but exams are not easy. Find your study group and work throughout the semester. He is very humble for how smart he is. Totally recommend any class he teaches because of the way he breaks down hard concepts.
Honestly the class is hard even though it is graded on a curve but be ready to teach yourself. Take with another professor, if you can. Chem is not easy but when the professors don't fully finish a problem out it gets hard. All I have to say is join study groups, do the readings and use the tutors. They were honestly more help than the lecture.
Class is very transparent. Exams are tough but realistic. You get a feel for what real science looks like, and learn new study skills and time management. The problem solving lectures are essential, and he is very open to questions. For sure the class is difficult but not impossible.
Having been my first class in years, his class was very difficult for me. He is a genius as someone said which makes it impossible for him to truly understand how even intro chemistry is difficult for people. That being said, as someone who is slow, I really tried and I can tell he does indeed care to help us the best he can. Study on your own.
Glen teaches you to be cynical/skeptical; I loved that about him. Charming, hilarious, and caring. He is a genius! Which I'd say makes him a "not-so-great" professor. Regardless, I liked the class because of the things he talked about outside of the chemistry subject. Toughest class I've taken. 3 exams in person. Be prepared to STUDY on your own.
I am so bad at chemistry and science that I have delayed taking it to the end of my college career. Glen is without a doubt the best professor i've ever had. He is so smart that he has no idea how quick he really is. He breaks things down to the physics parts. Exams are fair but deceivingly simple. I can be proud that my hard work was rewarded.
One of the most difficult professor I have taken at LACC. However, his lectures are straight to the point. Make sure to study on your own.
He is very handsome and intelligent! He knows a lot about the subject and explains concepts from his level of understanding, so don't be afraid to ask questions or ask him to slow down, otherwise he will move on.
It was very hard for me to understand the lectures. It nice how he relates the things we learn to real life but he talks usually goes on for a while. He is not online anywhere, and the class average on tests is usually 6/15. Don't get me wrong, he is super smart but not the best introductory chemistry teacher.
Glen just is one of the best prof's. He is enthusiastic and funny. Every lecture he shows us something new about the chemical world around us. Tests are hard but once he shows the answers they are very doable. He is approachable but it takes time to warm up to him. Really clever and very social. Dont miss lecture the problems he solves show a lot.
He is not just a great professor, he is one of the kindest people at LACC. His easy attitude and intelligence only add to his mystery. Difficult to catch him, but he is generally accessible outside of class, and a person you can approach with any question you have. All that said, you do need to study and work the problems if you want to do well
Just as everyone says, he is pretty smart and he shows it by going very deep into the details. Exams aren't that bad but you do have to be on your toes. Missing class is a mistake. I recommend him to anyone who is serious.
I dropped the class but I regret it. I took another class at a different college and cannot be more disappointed in the difference between the classes. Prof. Glenn is by far more competent and capable of providing quality lectures. He does not belong at a community college.
His lecture was one of the most difficult classes I have taken. The first three weeks were especially hard to understand because I had no background in chemistry. I could tell that he is a very smart professor. If students show improvement, he gives generous grades. It requires a lot of studying, strong focus, and careful attention during lectures.
Lectures were easy to follow if you prepared before class. He makes everyone comfortable when questions are asked. The class level is definitely more intense and his abilities just show. It takes a huge effort to do well in the class. I am glad it's over. Make sure to read beforehand and ask questions.
This guy is a piece of work lol but he really looks out for you if you try in his class. I struggled because I hate chemistry but him and my lab professor really helped me get the grade I got. wish I had him for 101 but his class are too intense. I needed time to recover over the summer.
The class isn't easy if you procrastinate and the material just piles up. Make sure to understand each chapter. I let things pile up. The class is doable with discipline. Glen is mentally very fast and answers questions to various depths. Lectures are funny at times and always on point. He's very charming and draws a lot of attention.
The professor presented course material in a deliberately opaque manner, with concrete guidance reserved almost exclusively for students who provided sustained personal attention and availability outside of normal academic boundaries. This created a gendered power dynamic where access to academic support was mediated through personal proximity.
