Dr. Pearson is a great professor. If you dont understand something, dont hesitate to ask. He knows his math and often adds humor to the class. He has 4 test the whole semester plus the final. Before taking the test he gives us a practice test and it is similar to the test. If you miss class you will be behind.

Professor Pearson is a eccentric, yet corny professor who will teach you step by step everything that he teaches in his class, who will not move on until everyone understands the subject at hand.

I've taken algebra now 3 times. He is awesome. He makes everything really easy to understand, is great at clarifying, and gives great resources for out of class help. HIGHLY recommend.

I have not seen algebra since middle school, I was not taught in high school thanks to the wonderful DallasISD. Long story short I was TERRIFIED of algebra, I was given the opportunity to take college level algebra and I am so glad I took the risk. Mr. Pearson was very clear & easy to understand. With average effort, i made a B+. Take Him!

Mr. Pearson is one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He shows you step by step processing in order to make the material easier. He gives out review sheets that are like the tests. I made an A+ in this class and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Outstanding Professor! Math has never been my thing, it is more like my kryptonite. This is the first time in my life I knew I was going to pass a math course. Hands down the BEST math professor I've had! He always cracks up jokes during lectures and he will always ask if there are any questions that you don't understand. Don't be shy to ask because he likes it when students actually ask him what they don't understand. He is also a chill professor and is always there for you when you need help.

Dr. Pearson is an amazing professor. He is the most enthusiastic teacher I have ever seen. His grading system is designed to help you pass, and he really wants every student to be successful. He's the funniest math professor I've ever had, class is fun. However, his lectures are clear and straightforward. Whenever you have a question or don't get the concept he always provides help and is very patient and understanding. The only way to fail is if you don't take good notes, do hw, or take your tests. He provides great test review as well

He goes step by step EVERY problem and gives reviews that are just like the tests. The entire semester he came in with a great positive attitude eager to teach so it just made me feel 1000% better about math. 10/10 recommend!!!

I took him for MATH 1316 (Plane Trig) and overall, he knows his material very well though he can't get a tad obnoxious with jokes but he's a great teacher. Also, be prepared to study ALOT.

So, this is the funniest class I ever attended. He makes math as fun as it can be. He explains a lot, happy to help you at his office or right after class. If you were scared of math all your life - take his class! If you're good at math, you might find his class it's too easy and too funny.

I loved his class. He explains everything so well. However, there is alot of hw on Mymathlab thats time consuming. His exams come from the reviews. His last exam is worth alot so make sure to study hard for it. Study hws and reviews. I had some problems that were not on reviews but the hws. He also has quizes he uses as extra credit. DNT B ALARMED

Made Calculus 2 very easy to understand. 10/10 you should take his class.

A really great guy who knows his material. He knows how to explain his work and how to bring topics and relate it to the math we are learning. Very odd but funny guy. There are pop quizzes, but he normally tells you the class before or early on in the class. If you think you are not good at algebra, take his class!!!

As someone with a great deal of algebra anxiety, Im very fortunate to have chosen Dr Pearsons class. His ability to relate the material to the real world made all the connections I needed. His choice of online materials reinforced the lectures perfectly. He was a thorough lecturer, continually reinforcing previous knowledge.

Dr. Pearson made algebra fun & so easy to understand, you do have homework, but he always works some problems out during class. It's easy to ask questions, exams are not hard & class overall is easy with him. Homework & exams have multiple attempts. Just do the homework & you'll get an A! WOW I LOVE THIS PROFESSOR. I have never been good at math EVER but Professor Pearson made it SO easy to get an A. There are unlimited attempts on the homework, and 2 attmepts on the exams (about 20 questions and 2 hours to complete them) His lectures: AMAZING, and he cares about you succeeding. He's very clear with assignments TAKE HIM NOW!

I took this class in fall 2020 so it was all online, but he did offer optional live lectures. It was an easy and fun class, and even if you do not understand he will make sure you do. He gives unlimited attempts on the hw and two attempts on the exam, but he does not offer extra credit. He is strict on the deadline so he does not accept late work

I, personally struggled with college algebra. When I took Pearson's class it was my third attempt. And thankfully, my last. He explains everything so well and really goes into detail and makes sure you understand. There is quite a few homework assignments but if you stay CONSISTENT with them, you WILL pass!! If you have the chance to take Glen Pearson do not look away. I took him for Precal and Calculus and he is the best professor out there. I heard once that students protested just to get him as their professor. He is really good.

Math is hard but Dr. Pearsons lectures are AMAZING! He makes the material easy to understand. He goes over the questions on My Math Lab and the exam questions are from there. On top of that he throws some jokes here and there so that kept lecture interesting. Theres also 2 attempts on unit and final exams, so take this class!

I was on my THIRD go round with college algebra as math has NEVER been a strong suit of mine. I took a chance on taking a summer course with Dr. Pearson and came out with an A!! I couldn't believe it! He broke down concepts that I had never understood before. He makes class fun and explains everything so clearly, I wish he taught EVERYTHING!

I've taken courses off and on for 20 yrs. Dr. Pearson is by far the best professor I've had. I kept waiting for the hard part of calc. It never came due to his fantastic lectures. Watch the videos if you can't attend live. Watch lectures & do the work for easy A. The only other thing I did was two 3-min tutoring sessions.

Took his course in the summer and loved it. Work and tests are easy as long as you follow his recorded lectures and take good notes! Would take him again if he offered any other math courses I required.

Mr. Glenn's class is super easy if you put in the work. There are strict deadlines (you get four weeks to complete each unit), so you have enough time. Don't expect extra credit or extensions. Which you probably won't need. There are 3 unit tests and Final, which you have two attempts to take each. Hw is mymathlab.

Math has always been a difficult subject for me, but Dr. Pearson made it very enjoyable. His lectures are entertaining and clear, he's supportive of his students' success, and he is very good at communication and reminders. He has definitely helped build my confidence in understanding math. I want to have him as my professor for all my math classes

Pearson made linear algebra so easy, I honestly wish my university had professors that were passionate like him. His exams are exactly like the practice exams and you also get a second chance if you didn't do well on the first. He makes you show your exam work but that's not a problem. 6 chapters, 4 labs, 4 exams, and 1 final. Take him if you can!

Lectures were recorded and high quality, easy to follow, he is really enthusiastic and entertaining. Homework was a couple Pearson MyLab assignments a week. Exams were online with two attempts. I left all my lectures and work until the week before the exam every time and still did good. Highly, highly recommended. Take here instead of at UTD!

I put off taking college algebra for 2 years until I was forced. If I knew teachers like this existed I would have taken college algebra day 1. I never received higher than a C in math and I got an A+ and actually understood what he was teaching. He makes math relatable and teaches you the tricks to get it. The lectures were long but worth it! BEST

Dr. Pearson is an incredible professor! His lectures were full of energy and passion for mathematics, which made for an enjoyable learning experience. The education system needs a lot more professors like Dr. Pearson! If you have an opportunity to take one of his classes, I 100% recommend it.

Overall an okay class. Be ready to learn in this class. Doesn't use lockdown browser but asks to provide proof of scratch work for every answer you get. Trig were easy concepts to learn but do keep in mind to get ahead on the deadlines to avoid missing them. Video lectures were great, he doesn't give extra credit so meet every deadline possible.

I absolutely LOVED Dr. Pearson! He is so enthusiastic about his job as a professor and clearly loves math. I would recommend 100% if you need an easy A. It is very obvious how much he cares about his students.

Amazing math professor! But, his lecture style can be frustrating. He will repeat the SAME EXACT word or phrase, no joke, twenty times in a row. I counted. And he does this several times in every lecture. I had to skip forward so much through every recording to keep my sanity. Overall he goes on a lot of time-wasting tangents. Great teacher though!

His recordings are helpful, the workload is super reasonable, and he quite literally gives you every tool you need to succeed. He's a great professor. People who complain about having to handwrite a paragraph and show their work for exams are ridiculous. We're lucky we get to take the exams online at all, most online classes make you test in person

I had dr.pearson last semester and he is very engaged with his students. He makes sure everyone clearly understands what is happening and teaches it in a organized manner. Other than academics he is hilarious and energetic. I passed his class with a 98% with full understanding of college algebra (more than what I learned all of high school).
