Not a bad class. He uses examples to help you but he goes over material fast. One group project (5pg paper) not bad. Hes not good with names, so unless he knows you from somewhere else, he won't know your name. You kinda feel left out.

Good teacher. Easy B. Put some effort in you'll get an A. Straight forward. Whoever feels left out is a toolbox disregard the comment u see above mine. Take this teacher. A hell of a lot better then getting a DEVIL Chinese woman named MI.

Awesome guy! He really tries to get to know students. Makes class fun. Uses real life examples. Helpful. Tests are a little tricky but there is a project and many journal entries to help your grade. Takes attendance-so go to class, be prepared, read chapters,do every journal and you will do great!

great guy-- he is a great professor who does a good job making boring stuff seem somewhat intresting. Knows everyone by name and wants to be everyones friend-- good guy... tests are long and 10pg paper which isen't too diffuicult-- highly recommend

Awesome teacher! If you study for midterms and final and read the chapters you'll get an A. Fun class discussions and you learn interesting random facts. Really gets to know students by name. Always availible for help (but he's clear in class so you won't need it). Actually looked forward to class.

Ok seriously Glen was awesome!! Coolest teacher i had. I wasnt interested in the classes material but he made me enjoy going, thats how cool he was. Yea his tests are hard and yea there is alot of work and reading. But he seriously is worth it! If you can def take him! YOU ROCK GLEN!!

Even tho its a 101 class, the tests are really hard. there is a 2 page paper every week. REally nice teacher.. if you dont mind reading the book- I highly recommend him.

Two tests look so much easier than they really are. You'll walk away thinking you got an A when you get a C back. It's okay though because all the tests combined count for 20% of the grade. The weekly short papers are worth more and they are easy because they are 100% opinion-based. great guy.

It is obvious to students that teachers either love or hate what they do and Schorr loves it!!! He makes the subject fun and provides detailed note for EVERY class that you can use to study from. Attendance is important, but will get out early! Take him!!!

Really nice guy but won't put up with talkers or late people. Don't call him professor it's Glen. If you want a good grade read the book or at least the notes that he takes for you and go to every class.

Really enjoyed the class until the final. The hardest final I have ever taken at Towson. I studied for 8 hours and still had a hard time. Was averaging an A- in the class but I'm sure I have a C now. Very tough grader on papers too. Takes points off for things he didn't tell you to include in the papers. Nice guy though otherwise.

Gives you outlines for every chapter; and then goes over them in class. Be sure to study these...they're everything that's on the exams!!!!

Don't take him as an Easy A cuz he isn't, take him if you want to learn. Does his best to help you by giving out his lecture notes, 95% of test questions pretty much come straight from those notes. He's a nice guy and going to lecture really wasn't that bad.

The best teacher I've ever had. Half of our final grade depended on one very large paper. Glen is someone who lives in the real world and will teach everything with that kind of spin. You get one absense...period...and he doesn't like it if you don't participate. I learned more suseful stuff in that class than any other.

He's a very nice man and makes lessons pretty interesting. He really gets to know everyone in the class and encourages classroom discussion. 5 papers are assigned, which were all fairly easy and on interesting topics. Midterm and final are extremely difficult though. You have to read the book & study your notes to do well.

His tests are difficult and definitely require a lot of study time, but all the answers from the tests come from the lectures (both verbal and written). Glen Schorr is my favorite professor at TU. He is the kind of professor who not only has vast academic knowledge, but he has tons of real world sport management experience. Professor Schorr really makes you work for a good grade; however, he doesn't throw you any curve balls. His class' structure is very straightforward. Just stay up-to-date!

I never write reviews, but Glen is an incredible professor and guy. He relates so well with his students and is so helpful. You will have to read and study hard, but it's worth it. He relates so much to real-life, which makes me really appreciate him and his class. If you don't take him, you're missing out.

Awesome guy, keeps the class very interesting. Must complete chapter readings from text book every week and fill out chapter sheets but pretty straight forward. Class is all interactivegroup discussions. Tests are a little hard, but he prepares you. Ethnography was a lo of work but he will do anything and everything to makes sure your successful.

Glen is the best professor that I have ever had. Org comm was tough and at first I was a bit intimidated by it. Glen expects a lot out of you. But that's what is so great about him. He challenges you to be better and work hard. I haven't had another professor care about my success as much as he did. Come to class, fill out the notes (always).

Lovedddd this class. I had a once a week night class which is almost 3 hours long but he made it worth while. Participation definitely mattered. Had 2 8-10 page papers which were both PR campaigns and 2 exams. He is very helpful, he provides the outlines for every chapter and will review papers before it is due. Will definitely take him again.

Glen is amazing and really made me love public relations. He is clear cut and to the point. 2 papers, 8 pages each. 2 tests, 8-9 chapters each, and all open ended. Lectures are long but gives breaks. High energy expects high energy from you. Funny guy who cares about his students. Very helpful. 100% recommend if you don't mind working for it.

Loved this class. I liked the course material, but the best thing about it was the way Glen conducted class. Class participation is extremely important, which made me pay attention in lecture. This helped me do well on tests. Take this class!

Glenn gives 5 essays for the semester, all opinion based, & a midterm and final. I came into this class hating it because each unexcused absence is -5% of your final grade. But, Glenn has been the best professor I've had at Towson. He is the only professor who actually cares about your grade and his lectures are so fun and entertaining, take him!!

My time with Glen has been something else. The ethnography is one of the hardest things I've ever done, but he said he was only a phone call away (and actually was). He truly cares for his students, and is hands down my favorite prof here. Oh and, he'll ask you what makes you diverse in Kentucky - it's being left handed. Deff would take him again!

Said himself he's the hardest prof for OrgComm on campus. If you can help it, DON'T take him your final semester before graduation. That being said, he's willing to help you and stay super late on campus answering questions. Relates well to his students and is laid back in class. Study like crazy for his tests - very demanding, all short answer.

Great. He's gotten some bad feedback, but I think it's from people looking for an easy A. If you're a senior in college looking for an easy A, you're gonna have a hard time in the real world. Org Comm is a difficult class and Glen tells you upfront that it's going to be hard. However, Glen is an amazing professor. His lectures are interesting and as long as you put the work in, he will do everything he can to help you. If you put the work in, you'll do well. If you don't, you won't. Simple. Do try and avoid taking it your last semester.

Glen is my guy. Org Comm was one of the hardest, yet most engaging classes I have taken in my 4 year battle. There are no hidden expectations. He lays it all out on day 1. If you want an easy class, good luck, but if you want a class where you will actually learn something this is the guy who will give you something to take away even after college.

I think that the sponsorship profile assignment is an important and relevant assignment because that is something actually required and done in the work force. I think that the papers are unnesscarily long, in particular because academic papers do not hold much relevance from a practical working experience. Regardless a great professor to take.

Awesome professor that has the experience to teach from a real perspective. Fun classes that require you to be engaged in conversation. Few graded assignments so make sure you put in the necessary effort to get the most out of each assignment. Strict attendance policy but come to every class for extra credit.

Glen is nothing short of outstanding. MCOM101 is not easy with him, as there are 5 papers and his two tests are no joke. However, he truly is there to help everyone and his 101 section will help prepare you for the major extremely well. Not to mention his classes are thoroughly engaging and a pleasure to attend. Glen is an outstanding professor and just a great person all in all. He gives great feedback on your assignments. If you enjoy talking about sports I definitely recommend taking his Organizational and Leadership Communications class or Comm 472. It may be almost 2 and a half hours long but it's such a fun class because he makes it fun.

If you read the textbook and use his chapter outlines, you'll do well on the test. Pay attention to everything he says in class, it can show up on a test. And as for papers, try and get feedback before they are due. His classes aren't hard, but it's VERY easy to fall behind if you let anything slip.

Loved this class and the challenges that came with it. Has clear grading criteria and expects students to give their all. This class isn't for those who want to sit back and not participate. He is a cool guy and will help you in any way he can. Go to him with rough drafts for papers. I learned a ton for PR. I hope to have him again in the future!!

Glenn is an amazing professor, he is vary caring and make sure you learn the material. However this class is not easy A, if your looking for a class to lay low and not do much this is not it. Attendance is mandatory, READ THE CHAPTERS ASSIGNED, participation matters!!!

Glen really cares about his students and their success in his class. Office hours will help you so much and they are actually enjoyable. This professor was my favorite out of all my professors. I am a junior here at Towson and have had many professors, and this one was my favorite. He is a hard grader and likes his students to care about what they are learning. He will go above and beyond for you and help in any way possible. I would recommend taking him for any of his classes.

If you went to a private school, the work load/expectations are the same. Do the work, put in effort, study hard, you'll be fine. He's very real and will let the class know when he's not seeing the effort he'd like. Very interactive: call/response based on the weekly guides. 2 exams/2 papers.

Glen is a good professor at heart, he truly does care about his students. But ill be honest, if you're looking for an "easy professor" Glen is not your guy. 4 grades. (2 short response exam's, in person) (2 8+ page papers) exams are fairly hard you must go to office hours for your papers, trust me.

His lectures are interesting and fun. You will be hooked the whole time. His tests are not hard if you just study. He GIVES HIS OWN NOTES TO THE CLASS. If you study them, you will do well. If you go to his office hours, you WILL do well on the papers. He works with his students after class, and will stay for as long as you need.

Glen was one of, if not the best, teachers I have had at Towson. Being a freshman in a class full of Juniors and Seniors last year, he didn't just move on and let me fend for myself. He worked with me and the entire class to ensure we passed. Just make sure you pass the midterm. One thing he will tell you is to CARE!!!!!

He takes attendance, but you aren't graded for it. However, if you want to pass, you have to go to class. He makes class fun, and you honestly learn a lot by the way he teaches.

Professor Schorr is the man. The class is based on four grades which killed some people. He gives you precise guidelines on how to succeed in his class. If you're really interested in PR he provides an encouraging intensity that pushes you to really work for your grade. Overall, this class was extremely useful and I looked forward to it every week.

Glen, an exceptional professor, but may come off as intimidating. He is a tough grader and has a strict attendance policy but he just wants us to be committed and excel. As the semester progresses, his expectations elevate, pushing us to do better. Overall, he really cares about his students and will work with you on getting better.

Glenn was the man. He teaches an upper-level communication class and it blows my mind that some of these reviews give him a hard time for making the class challenging or requiring attendance. Glenn gave a lot of real-life advice and related to the class to job seeking which I appreciated. He makes you put forth effort which I think he should.

First impression is that he's the mean drill sergeant teacher. Strict with attendance. However, he loosens up throughout the course and is really friendly. Makes the class feel inclusive and supportive. Not the biggest fan of his grading. Notes and lectures are easy but he calls on people randomly to read parts. Only 3 big speeches.

He seems mean at first but is very kind and understanding as you get to know him. He loves when people partcipate and try their best so if you put in the effort, you'll do fine. Best teacher I've had at Towson, got to know each and every student in the class and made presentations so much easier. There are no exams just speeches and homework's we're graded on. I personally don't like public speaking but he made it so much easier and taught me how to be a much more effective public speaker. Overall amazing teacher!

Public Speaking is difficult for everyone. Professor Schorr is a tough grader, not because he wants you to fail but because he CAREs. His lectures were very informative and I was able to walk away with some insightful tips about public speaking. This guy truly has your best interests at heart and wants everyone to succeed in his class.

Professor Schorr was an amazing professor. This was my 2nd time taking public speaking with a different professor and thanks to Professor Schorr, not only did I pass the class, I also learned valuable skills to public speaking and I'm a more confident and comfortable speaker. He's a great ear if you need one and he's hilarious. Glen Schorr Rocks!!

He is very strict on his grading and assignments, but is a really good professor

This professor will change your life. show up to class, do your homework, and rehearse a lot, or you will get smoked. He tells you on the last day that he is your professor for life and you can go to him for anything, dont drop even when it gets tough please it will change your life for the better.

Professor Schorr is awesome because unlike other public speaking classes, he doesn't give any quizzes on the textbook homework! Instead he does note checks and automatically gives 20/20 points if you have SOMETHING written down. Follow his motto CARE: commit, attend, rehearse, excel. He will love you.

i took this professor last semester, but I love professor Schorr! I loved his class and his lectures. he is very caring about all of his students. he is a very tough grader and he's strict but he's insanely knowledgeable and a great teacher. highly recommend!

If you're taking Glen for this class, odds are you'll be thinking about dropping after a couple weeks. Don't. He expects a LOT of you, but that is only because he cares about all of his students and wants you to be prepared. You will learn more about your peers in this class than in any other, and I absolutely recommend you take Professor Schorr.

Little bit of a harsh grader but overall a great professor. Really makes sure to get to know every student in his class. Being on time is important because he will call you out if you walk in late.
