He is truly the best professor at Hofstra. He is smart, cool, and has a great teaching style. His class is interesting and fun and he cares about his students. I'd take him for all my classes if I could. He's also pretty cute.

Curves the class at the end (but everyone does well so it doesn't matter) Amazing stories from his NixP days. Another amazing prof from the legal department.

Entertaining, not boring. On the other hand, grading system is horrible. 25 question tests worth 25 points, meaning if you get two questions wrong you are below an A.. no curve either. Plus, he makes the questions himself off of the top of his head so if it's not exactly uniform to the book. This only matters if you're the straight A type.

This professor is awesome! This class is difficult by itself but he makes it a fun and easy learning experience. If you plan to go to law school this class prepares you enormously for your first year. If you are willing to do the work and want to learn this is the class for you! Never have I ever had a professor who truly found pleasure in making the class interesting. I came to class everyday so happy and left even happier. Vogel is the man. Tests are open notes and non cumulative. Types out an outline for you, you just have to fill in majority of it. Makes class so entertaining. Love the man!! Take him take him!

The only thing you need to do to pass this class is make sure you complete the outline he gives you. He gives an outline on day one, and it matches the lectures. Just fill in the missing spots in the outline and he lets you bring it to class. I didn't pay attention in class but made sure my notes were complete and it was an easy A, and saved my GPA

He gives you an outline for you to fill in during his lectures then you use it on your tests. There's some online reading quizzes outside of class but they don't take too long. Pay attention to what he says (because he's brilliant and hilarious) and you'll get an easy A. Go to class and he'll give you exam answers and funny stories. HI VOGEL! :)

He is a stickler for grammar so check everything over before you hand it in. Sometimes attendance is taken so make sure you get to class. Pretty flexible with due dates. Not much homework, just a few projects.

Now in law school, I STILL refer to some Legal Research/Writing notes from his class. Vogel is INSANELY busy and hard working but he still manages to give some of the best (humble) advice pre-law students can get. He was often funny and engaging, but most importantly REALISTIC about the world of law. Definitely take upper level classes with him!

Took this as an online course. Professor was great and class is fairly easy as long as you do the work. All quizzes and exams open book, watch lectures and take notes with outline professor gives you. All answers in readings and outline.

The BEST, BRIGHTEST, and MOST WONDERFUL Professor at Hofstra! His classes and expectations of his students are straightforward and to the point. All tests and quizzes are open notes/on BB. No HW, except to read and prepare for class when he assigns articles/cases. I have taken 4 classes of his (varying difficulties) and would take a million more!

Professor Vogel taught LEGL 200 and made it an interesting topic. His video lectures were detailed and interesting. He interjects some personal anecdotes that augment the topics. I would gladly take another course with him.
