Dr. Weisfeld is absolutely refreshing. He doesn't baby his students & refuses to worry about "offending" people. He's intresting and teaches from a perspective most students are not used to. True college professor. Attending lectures is only helpful for about 5% of the tests. READ your book, that's where the tests come from. Worst professor I've ever had. Only had 3 tests, if you bomb one you have no way of raising your grade. Take this with someone else, he sucks.

Dr. Weisfeld is a great instructor. His lectures do come off as long and boring, however if you read the book and pay attention, the class shouldn't be too difficult. He only had 3 exams and does end up giving a huge curve. I'd take him again.

This is an awful class and I don't recommend taking it with him. Your entire grade is based off of 3 tests. Thats it. He doesn't do plus/minuses. I was a straight A student and got a B in this horrible class.

The content of psy2400 was very interesting, but they way Dr. Weisfeld taught it was boring. However, it's easy to get an A. His curve is very generous. To give you an idea, on the 1st exam, grades from 39-50 (out of 50) received an A. Make notecards based on assigned readings and take good notes in class. That's all it takes to get an A.

Class is graded out of 150 points (3 exams). These exams are multiple choice and not cumulative. 50% of exam is from assigned readings; 50% is from lecture. You cannot skip the readings or class and expect to do well. Dr. Weisfeld is clear in his explanations while lecturing, but he is boring so it is a bit of a struggle to pay attention.

Competent. His curves made it an easy A. The only coursework is learning the material.

He teaches his class the old school way by writing the lecture outlines on the chalkboard and then lecturing the rest of the time. He does not make anything available online so you have to attend the lectures and read the assigned readings to do well. The exam questions are sometimes tough, but he gives a generous curve.

Dr. Weisfeld is respectably well-educated in the field of psychology. He lectures old-school by writing an outline on the board. Easy to follow along with. Class is 1/2 lecture and 1/2 textbook. Very personable. Exams are fair and he gives a generous curve.

He is one of the smartest instructors I have had at Wayne. He is well informed on the subject and really loves evolution. It is all tests, no homework, and showing up to lectures and taking notes is necessary. Tests are based off a lot of the notes but still read the chapters and take note of darkened words.

Great professor! Lectures were very interesting. Grades on a huge curve which is good. Grading based on 3 tests nothing else. Test questions can be confusing and tricky but once you get used to his style you'll do fine. Attending class is a must! No power points or study guides provided, good note taking also important as all he does is talk.

Very smart but will talk to you lole you aren't. Doesn't use blackboard, writes everything on the board in class. Pick evolution on the exam anytime you can.... never opened the book.

only 3 exams and that really screwed most of the class up. his voice is so monotone so when he lectures for an hour and 15 minutes straight its hard to concentrate. no extra credit or anything was givin. had to basically memorize the book on your own.

SHOW UP TO CLASS!! This class will be an easy A if you ready the assigned chapters and attend class. If you can't make class for any reason, borrow notes from someone. Class had 3 exams total. If you study your lecture notes and read the assigned chapters then you will end up with an A. Most of the material was common sense too so don't stress!

your grade is based on 3 exams. He doesn't upload anything to canvas so just be patient. His class is all listening so try your best not to get distracted and take good notes and you will be fine. If you miss a class, borrow notes because then you miss an entire topic. No slides for notes, just all listening and writing down what he says.

Teaches from evolutionary psychology perspective, with occasional off topic rants. For example why "free will doesnt exist". I felt lectures weren't beneficial, as he writes his own book. That said reading the book thoroughly is enough to pass, but often exam questions dont directly relate to the book (he makes you draw your own connections).
