I have taken this class a couple of times, and now I just wish I would have had this teacher the first time. She is excellent at explaining how to do the work and she teaches most of it on the calculator. I have never gotten an A on a math test until this class. Do whatever you can to take this teacher.

Mrs. summerlin is a great instructor. She actually made algebra somewhat fun, if you can imagine that. She is very clear and lets you use notes on tests. Her class is not an "easy A", however...You still have to implement your brain.

You need to take her if you can get into her class. She teaches high schoolers so she can get on your level. She also wants you to pass. She knows this is a hard class and most of us would not take it if it was not required for most majors.

I took Glenda Summerlin"s class over the summer (8 week semester). I have never liked or been good at math. However, Summerlin's class was well worth the wait to get into. She knows math as well as understoods the struggle for the majority that doesn't. Keep up the excellent job that you do Glenda. YOU ROCK!

Great Instructor, I dreaded taking college algebra forever. On Day one she made it very clear that she wanted us all to do well and this was not going to be a hard class. Taught very well, showed us quick ways to do things on the calcualator, and rewrote the forumulas on the board EVERYTIME she did a new problem. GREAT instructor

glenda is awesome. she is clear, concise, and methodical with her notes. she covers everything in detail and has you work a few for clarity. her homework policy can't be beat: do it, don't fall behind, and she briefly checks it for credit befire the final. she's a gem.

she is the best, homework doesnt have to be turned in until the end of smester, there are 4 tests and she gives you a study guide for each that is a clone to the test plus she lets you use your notes on the test. easy A guaranteed and she gives xtra credit on tests if the class does well.

She is great!! If you have trouble with Algebra then take her. I came out with a B. I was failing my Algebra class so the B was wonderful to me. GO FOR IT!!! I know most of us dread Algebra but she makes it less stressful. She teaches high school so she can bring it down.

She is a great teacher! she explains Algebra on your level that is if you are not so good at math, as I have learned most people are not. Take her and listen to the lectures you will actually learn math and not be lost in the subject of algebra!

Ms Summerlin is an exceptional teacher, I have thouroughly enjoyed her class and wish that she were teaching college algebra next semester. She is extremely clear and very helpful. I had not had a lick of Algebra for 12 years and that was back in highschool so I didn't know if I was going to get it. She teaches in a way that you do get it.

Terrific teacher! Her main concern is that you learn what you need for College Algebra. If you take notes (anything she writes on the board), you will have an excellent reference source for College Algebra. And you can use them on the test!

THE *BEST* MATH TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD! I hadn't been in a math class in years and still got an A. Ms. Summerlin explains everything in a way that anyone can understand. She also writes out instructions and explains problems in words on the board so when you look at your notes after class, you remember how to work the probs. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Glenda is a talented and gifted instructor. I wish I would have had a teacher like her in high school and maybe I wouldn't have been afraid of algebra for most of my life. She breaks down concepts so that everyone can understand them. If I can pass this class, so can you. She truly cares about her students and wants them to succeed!

I cannot believe I made an A in college algebra! I put this class off for 2 years, and now I'm actually good at math! We have 4 tests including the final. She tells us what to study. The final is the easiest of them all and replaces your lowest test grade! You do need to show up to class, but she makes it fun and really wants you to do well.

she is one of the best teachers at tcc. if you are not a fan of math like i am, you should definitely take her. not only does she make math understandable, but she's a very nice person. she learns students' names the first day. she really loves teaching and it shows. i hate math & i got an a in the class. if you take her then you probably will too.

Ms. Summerlin actually makes Algebra fun. She is very knowledgable and extremely patient. She really helps students to grasp the concepts. What a wonderful alegbra teacher! This is not my first time taking this class. Best I have had! Very clear. Can ask questions. Follow the syllabus and show up to class. Only 4 test but the final replaces lowest test score! And final is over current section!

She can get anyone to understand her material. You do not have to be math savy to take her. And you will actually know algebra well after her class. She has an awesome way of teaching. I had withdrawn, and droped 2 previous other college Algebra classes, but Mrs. summerlin breaks it down for you so you can understand it, even if your not fresh with math.

if you are bad at math, this is the teacher to take!!! math is the one subject i've always struggled with. i tried taking other math teachers at tcc, but this is the only teacher i had any luck with. on most tests, multiple choice and you're allowed a calculator. sometimes, she even gives formulas.

Ms. Summerlin is so sweet and helpful. "Let's do another one" is her favorite saying and repetition helps you learn how to do it. Homework is optional and she tells you problems similar to the ones on the test for the review. Do those problems and you will get an A on the test. Only 4 test grades.

College Algebra 1 night a week really wasn't advisable- especially after being out of school for 20 years. She was a great teacher making sure you understood the concepts presented. She recommended Interactmath.com- a great tool that was tremendously helpful. You will not be disappointed with taking this class!

Great math professor! I waited to take math until my last year and passed her class with an A! 4 exams and 4 HW combinations to go with them. Last exam replaces lowest previous exam score, if higher than it. Show up to class, do your HW, and give your best! You will pass with flying colors! She's willing to help no matter what. She is a great teacher! All the homework will be online, there will be no need to have a textbook in this class. There will be 3 test and the final. She gives you a study guide that really helps you ace the test. She goes over the study guide with you. You'll have to print notes for class as she works it out for you to copy down. Bring calculator!

Mrs.G is such an amazing person inside and out. She will take her time to thoroughly go over anything you dont understand. Her homework is on MyLabsPlus, not difficult if you pay attention during her lectures. She also provided everyone with extensive amount of materials for the tests to make sure you pass. Overall, I highly recommend Mrs. G!

She is always willing to work with you if you have a hard time understanding the problems. LabsPlus can be a pain sometimes, so she'll give you points on problems that were super close to the answer, maybe you put (x,y) instead of x,y. Test every other week with study guide, lots of homework, print notes before you arrive to class and study.

All of the homework is done online through MyLabsPlus and she gives you unlimited attempts to work the problems and get the right answer! Her study guides are also identical to the test! (Just different numbers or in a different order). I have always needed a tutor to makes A's in math classes but she teaches so well that I was able to understand!
