Walden's teaching style is one you will either love or hate. On the plus side she is open to discuss anything and knowledgable about sexual topics. On the negative, I felt the course had too much of an "anti-establishment" bias if that makes sense, and strongly disagreed with some of the readings. Work load is avg for a 1000 lvl course.

Glenda's lectures were very boring to me, and it was hard to pay attention. She ends up going on tangents about things that are loosely related to lecture material. The title and description of this class sounds cool but it is misleading, I don't recommend taking it. She is a nice person and has cool stories, but I just didn't love her as a prof

Glenda is absolutely amazing. She has a perfect balance of humor and intellect in her lectures, and her readings are all very interesting. She's aware that they can be dense and has methods of success that make it easy to navigate this. There are always opportunities for extra credit. Your grade in Glenda's class is a reflection of engagement.

Does not cover actual course material in her lectures, instead, you will have to teach yourself the course content. There are several readings each week all of which are very long and some completely irrelevant to the course. You will only be successful on the quizzes if you're a lucky guesser and she gives little to no feedback on assignments

This class was very confusing at times because she tends to go on unrelated tangents during her lectures instead of teaching the material. Along with that the slides are very vague, and you won't really learn anything unless you do your reading. I did really like Glenda as a person though and she is pretty lenient when it comes to grading.

Dr. Walden knew what she was talking about but the way she tied in topics to real-world examples was really unprofessional. She would talk about very odd topics and I really did not enjoy going to lectures and sitting through her whining about certain topics. Don't take this class unless you're a socy major. Grading is pretty harsh for an intro.

First off, like other posts have said, her lectures are extremely biased. I myself am left politically, but her opinions she shares and her way of teaching are extremely biased.
