It's a pretty easy class, you'll learn a lot!!
Doesn't teach. VERY unclear about what you should be learning for the tests.
VERY NICE GUY!! TAKE THIS CLASS!! KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING :)
You can use your books on test BUT he doesn't teach.
No teaching just boring personal stories and no explanations to anything
NICE GUY! very smart, open book tests. Take him!

great class!!
projects and tests are the best
really knows the ad business
this is the best telecourse on campus
fun class -the ad campaign is over half the grade!
just started this class- this guy is good!!
knows his stuff - very fair - neat projects-helpful
open friendly class treats us as equals in this class
It was a real easy class, open book(open partner) tests. Talks a lil off the subject sometimes, but overall not too bad.
this class is set up to allow you to actually earn your grade. projects and exams are great.
I took BA 103 and didn't learn squat with the open book tests. He never taught anything-just showed videos. I took the 270 class as a telecourse and I have a terrible time understanding what he was asking on the multiple choice questions.
Great!! Fair, lets students decide the class structure. Helpful if you have a problem. All around enjoyable class.
cool - just stared this class- investment projects- business plan for my business idea- lots of variety- this guy is good
great projects, fair, fun class
great class, no surprises, take this during your first year
great class fun projects
writing a sample business plan for this class is the best thing I have done
this class is all about projects- I think you will like it
this is a great class!!!!!!!!!!!
great class
Telecourse. This is the third telecourse I have had him for. He will not return calls or messages. His tests are the hardest I have ever taken, but he grades on a serious curve. Easy B.
Telecourse. His test are very very hard but grades on a curve. Material was straight forward and easy to follow. Don't take this course if you are lazy becuase you really have to read and know the chapters well to do good on the tests. Only met him at orientation, he seemed nice.
Very good teacher! Interesting stories and good advice.
Took online class. Very straightforward, no surprises. Must be motivated to do your work and reply to peers. Tests are very long and hard, but you can use your book for help. Would recommend this class and prof!
took as a telecourse. tests were long and hard...had to use the textbook extensively. tests were not timed tho, so if you are responsible and consistent, should get an easy A
Great online class. Few assignments each week, takes about an hour each week. 10 points each for 50 percent of your grade. 3 exams that are very long, and sometimes difficult, but you can just use your book at home. The three tests are the other 50 percent of your grade. the tests just take a long time, but you have 2 weeks to do them,!
Took him for a few telecourse classes. For this one there were 6 long tests online, and untimed. They were easy since you could find the answers in your book. He does grade on a curve for some classes but not this one.
Took Telecourse class, dont even have to watch the tv lectures, tests are all out of the book and there online and you have unlimited time to do them easy A if u work hard. They are long tests though
any one can ace this class. everyone needs to take it. if you need to raise your grade.
In my opinion he has a temper, not dependable, says one thing and then says another, impatient, won't repeat things, doesn;t listen. don't learn much
easy A. don't learn much
Took him for an online marketing course, aside from grading homework (which i think he just looks to see if we posted) he doesn't interact with us at all. They're multiple questions in the "discussion" forum that he hasn't answered in 3 months. Test are easy but long.
Easy online class, you get out what you put in. I learned a ton, it was all from the book, not from the instructor. Nice guy though, love the format, 2 chapters to read, 3 questions from each chapter, 1 70 Q exam almost every week. Marketing isnt a complex subject, not sure what other students on here expected.
Online class- SUPER EASY. 1 discussion board per week, 1 Exam every two chapters, however the exams are about 70 questions. Easy class though, No final exam, ends two weeks early. I would take it if possible :)
This was an online class, but I really loved it! The marketing textbook is very well written. The instructor is very clear on what is required. The exams were tougher than you would expect for open book but not too bad. I appreciated only having to post once a week on the discussion board. Highly recommend!
You can work ahead which is a plus. This professor DOES NOT provide any assistance or any interaction in the online course. The exams do not tell you what you got wrong and I'm sure that is by design but I like to know what I got wrong on tests. Even though it's open book it's harder than you think but otherwise an easy class.
Pretty easy going class. The only thing I didn't like was that fact that after I took each test I couldn't see the answers to what I got wrong so I will never learn. Other than that the class is pretty easy.
Worst online teacher yet. He doesn't even interact with the class. No point in reading the book because even if you do, you won't be able to remember what you read for the open book tests that are impossible. A lot of busy work that will not help you to remember marketing.
Easy class, just read the chapter and answer the questions. No instructor lessons at all and no instructor participation, not involved at all. Tests are 100 question open book. Read book, answer question, take test, that is all.
Go through 2 chapters a week. Test were long. No video or audio lecture. You are on your own !
Take this online. Teacher wasn't to helpful. The only way to pass is to read everything in your book. Get ready to take the longest test ever !
You're on your own. There's no teacher participation and no explanation on why you got the grade you got. All you do is read the chapters assigned every week and answer the questions then take the 100 question open book tests.
Worst online class I've ever taken. Test are long and very hard. Can't even find half the answers in the book. He's not helpful at all.
Professor interaction is non-existent. Tests are way too long, ridiculous, and auto-graded by Black Board. Discussions are pointless, and have no guidance, moderation, or feedback. Just an auto-grade for participating. I don't even know how he gets paid to "teach" a class he has absolutely nothing to do with.
Great teacher and really nice guy. Class is easy as long as you read and do the work assigned.
This class wasnt my favorite at fidat but it grew on me. its online but yu can come in whenever and ask questions. hes really chill . there is hw every week and exams are easy. will deff take this Prof again
Has very clear expectations from you, and homework is relatively easy. All you really have to do is read diligently. The only gripe I had was that some test questions were a bit off the wall, but overall it was manageable.
Prof. Gelderloos has awesome classes! I've taken two of his online classes this semester and he lets you work ahead as far as you want. One or two chapters read and discussion due per week and then you must post on a couple of your classmates discussion. Four exams for the semester. No tests or quizzes. He responds nicely to emails! Great Prof!
This retail class was very easy for me since I have several years of retail experience. However, everything you'll need to know is in the textbook. This is a very easy A if you do the work. Prof Gelderloos is very nice in emails if you need questions answered. He lets you work ahead as far as you want. He's a great professor!
Although this course claims it's a "lecture" it's actually entirely online. There was no student/teacher interaction at all although it's an in person class. I honestly don't even know what he looks like. I highly don't recommend him if your someone who relies on in person learning. I definitely learned my lesson and I now report teachers like him
love Glenn Gelderloos. He is a gem of a man. Asks great questions and improved my learning.
Prof. Gelderloos is very easy. If you do the work he asks you to do, there's no way you'd get below an A. He opens the semester completely up (online) so you can work ahead. It's possible to finish several weeks over one weekend. You do have to comment on your peers' entries, so remember to follow-up. He answers timely on emails. He's great!
I've had Prof Gelderloos for 5 different classes. I love his way of teaching. He opens up the entire semester and you work at your own pace. There are deadlines but the work is very easy and manageable. If you do the work , you'll get an A+. His classes are done 5 weeks before all the others. He doesn't give much feedback, but who needs that?
As long as you follow instructions, it's an easy A.
Took his class online, be ready to work on a lot of discussion boards. The discussion boards require you to actually think and be involved. Tests are actually somewhat difficult but they are online so you can use your book, notes. Overall a great professor and would take again!
I took this as an online class and it was a LOT of work. The exams are long but theres unlimited time. Prof is very understanding, my internet cut out as I was submitting an assignment and he extended the deadline for me to submit it, not many profs will do that.
It was a great class, and I would defiantly have him again! I liked that the class was opened up the whole time, so if you wanted to get ahead you could! I also liked that the class finished 4 weeks earlier then usual times! There was alot of homework! But as long as you did it you got credit for it! then Test were extremely long!
I took an online class with prof. Gelderloos. There was never any interaction between the students and him, which was weird. However, the course wasn't hard. Everything was simple to do. There is a lot of reading though, be warned.
This professor does not interact with students that much. (If you are taking the online version of the class.) There is SO MUCH TEXTBOOK READING. You literally read the ENTIRE textbook during the semester. Take good notes. It will help you on the exams.
I have taken multiple classes taught by this prof and will continue to do so! He is very clear on what is expected and makes sure you have everything you need to do well.
This is a great class for people who have jobs or if you are busy. The work is very clear and you will learn quite a bit. This class was smooth and not stressful at all.
If you're up for lots of reading, the class is actually very easy. Read the text, do discussion posts/respond to peers, and take the tests. It's that simple. But the reading is EXTREMELY heavy and dense. I ended up using chegg most the semester and passed with an A
Lots of reading and Q&A type homework so you have to put the time in to get the good grade. Very understanding and fair. I would def take a class with him again
If you need interaction with the professor then this isn't the class for you. There was little to no interaction between the professor and students. Everything was based on the textbook which made the class extremely easy since all the answers were either on google or in the textbook.
Here's the reality--I know I will be able to get an A in this class, but honestly I will have learned nothing. There is no interaction with the prof. You basically read 1-3 chapters of the text and then answer the homework questions and post them to the discussion board. You can easily find all answers to everything--homework and exams- online.
The professor was very clear and fair on what he expected. Half the grade is weekly homework and the other half from 3 exams. The homework was usually one or two chapters of reading where you would solve two problems and a case study from each chapter for the week. I enjoyed the class a lot, professor was flexible with my busy work schedule also.
Overall good professor. There was a ton of reading and I found the workload difficult in combination with work and another class. Although it was still manageable, just a little tough.
You buy your textbook. You get what you want to out of his classes. Your IN COLLEGE. Quit whining like a baby. You have the option of doing as many assignments and readings as you would like with him giving you a minimum goal which is HIGHLY appreciated seeing that we are in CC and have other classes, jobs, families, etc etc etc. I like him.
Actually the GOAT professor. Took his class online and all you have to do is read the weekly assignments, do the weekly assignments, and then take the bi-weekly Exam. He won't say a thing the whole time and all you need is the textbook.
He would assign 1 to 3 chapters on Monday, you would have to answer 3 written questions per chapter and answer all the questions to a video case by Thursday night. The rest of the week, you respond to 2 students and take a 70 question exam. I did not really retain any information from the material. He took at least a week to respond to my emails.
This class is definitely for the disciplined, he has everything laid out and sets you free to manage your coursework as long as it's turned in on time. There did seem to be a little discrepancy between the exams and textbook so maybe there needs to be some revision there? This was a great class and I would take another course of his again.
He doesn't communicate with students at all. Doesn't respond to his email either. Be prepared to read; you're expected to read the entire textbook over the duration of the course. Would not recommend
Read about two-three chapters and answer questions regarding to these chapters. Little or no interactions from the professor. Also, tests are 70 questions (6 tests), but open book and not timed. Overall, it was a good class.
Little to no interaction from the Professor. Make sure you follow the instructions and every week is pretty much the same. Tests are 70 questions and can take up some of your time, but open book/notes so no need to stress out. Overall, it was a good class.
