Could be a great teacher if he would Explain himself a little better.NOT clear and anything...

He was wanted you to be creative and did not explain the papers' content and then would give low grades because it did not contain what he wanted. Very unfair and unclear.

Grading systems is all over the place. EXTREMELY boring,and says one thing, but wants something else.

He is the most BORING professor I have ever taken he does not make himself clear in the assignments and does not help if you email him he actually rarely gets back to you. I think he is a very difficult grader, harsh on attendance I say if you can take another instructer do so because it is a hard class to stay awake for. Is very unorganized.

BORING! i never showed up to class and still got a 3.0. he never talked about the essay we were going to write, he would talk about anything eles BUT ENGLISH! talked with his hands! just a bad teacher

Worst teacher i've ever had so far. His grading is all over the place, he seems to have favorites and is not clear for assignments. I'm an English major and have had all 4.0s in my last Eng. Classes and after 2 essays of failing and no explanation as to WHY i did, i dropped the class. I highly recommend staying away. He never answers your questions

i would not recommend this professor to anyone. i have recieved 4.0 in all my other english classes but he is very unclear in assignments..boring lectures. i have never fallen asleep in a class until i took his!

I would not reccmmend Mr. Glen Harris for a professor, he never talked about anything that was going to be covered, his favorite was talking about aleins, boring, A horrible teacher overall. I would preferr that you find some one else who teaches this course elsewhere.

Much nicer since they removed the plate in his head, which was put in during the war. Still VERY BORING.

A lot of people had to drop out of the class. He was very unclear and didnt like to answer question. He expected you already know everything. Like is JOB wasnt a TEacher !!! He sucked. I took the class over with Dr. Shafer and got 4.0 He was very clear took time with students

WORST TEACHER EVERRRRRRR!!!BORING..RUDE...TALKS TOO SLOW... TEACHES AS IF HE WERE TEACHING 2ND GRADERS... explains things that dont need to be explained to college level students.. on the bright side.. you can pass his class easily without having to show up. he emails all of the homework and due dates.

I was so astounded by how Mr. Harris conducted his class, it was a load of crap. I've been exceptionally good at English & it's one of my faves. So when I started failing his class I was upset. Just as well he wouldn't explain anything & when you would ask questions he was rude. Retook & got an 4.0! Take Kim Owens you wont be disappointed!

The most confusing and boring teacher ever. I complained to the dean because he writes strange and rude remarks on papers. Don't take him. . . .

From the very beginning of his class he makes assignments very unclear, the only clear concept is that you will right about the same subject the ENTIRE semester. He was rude, he repeatedly targeted the same people's work and would read them out loud to let others "critique", he would block out the names but it was still humiliating none the less.

Very tough grader, doesn't seem to have a care whether or not you pass. Extremely boring. If you ask a question don't expect to get a clear answer. I've always been an A student but no matter how hard I tried on my papers they were always "not right." Makes you feel stupid. Very unclear. Everyone else in my class also had about a 2.5 or lower.

Harris is a horrible professor. When grading papers he is NOT clear or even helpful. He will tell you to fix things but then grade you even harder and add MORE things to fix when he could have added it all from the get go. He didn't even reach out to tell ANYONE their grade (or even post it on blackboard) the entire semester. Take someone else.

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. He isn't clear about the directions at all. Prepare to not have any of your questions answered. After explaining what he wants you to fix on the essay, it will never be good enough to pass. This professor makes it extremely hard to be successful in class. Makes me feel as if I don't even speak english

I would not recommend him to anyone. He is a very hard grader . And VERY UNCLEAR ON HIS ASSIGNMENTS

Worst professor I have had. Drags lectures outs beyond their needs. A 1.5 hour class can be summed up in 20 minutes if he didnt drag sentences out. Super hard to get a clear direction for papers. No good structure to the class and he always cancels. We missed 7 classes total in a LATE START class.

He is incredibly boring and doesnt try to make the already boring class more interesting. He isnt clear about instructions and grades hard. I do not recommend taking his class, especially if argumentative writing isnt your thing.

He does not give good instructions for the assignments. Do not expect a rubric for essays, as he doesnt do that. Also, beware to those taking english 102- it is EXTREMELY political, with him making it very clear what his political beliefs are. There isnt a whole lot of developing writing skills, its more or less learning about politics.

Do not take Engl 102 if you are looking to learn how to write or even read. You will do TONS of work but it will all be around politics. The way he will grade you will be based on whether or not your beliefs line up with his.

Worst professor I have ever had. He grades super hard does not give good instructions at all. I had to correct one paper many times and each time he would make up something new for me to correct. So once I was finished with my paper I had my cousin who has a ENGLISH DEGREE look at it and fix it and he still gave me a horrible grade on it.

It's hard to describe how boring this guy is. He can't seem to finish a sentence and keeps changing ideas for papers and grades. Nobody in our class was happy or ever wanted to see him again. Hard to understand how he keeps his job with how ineffective he is.

He was very vague and boring. He grades way to strictly. If you dont care for politics DO NOT take this class.

This professor asks a lot from students. At one point during my semester I was writing multiple papers at once along with two discussion posts a week. This was a frustrating class and professor to take with being a full time worker and having other class as well.

Many quizzes that have nothing to do with the content learned. More of a politics class than English. Very unhelpful when asking questions. Gives you advice to fix your work and even when you do what he advises still gives you a bad grade.

Literally the worst teacher I've had so far. I'm not even 2 months into this class and he's been harsh on my assignments and super rude. Even got help on work from someone who excelled in English and still got like a C on a paper. Hes rude and gives useless feedback. Never taking him again. He should be fired.

Never had the grade book up to date, so many papers and so much reading, never could get a perfect score, grades vary hard.

soooooo many papers. i have three due in two weeks, makes it very hard to do anything other than homework on free time. also, dont ever expect to be right in this class. i always excelled in english before this class, now nothing is ever good enough. would never ever take again.

From day one he wants you to know that he is smarter than you. You're to read a piece of work (short story or poem) then analyze the piece. I am someone who has never struggled with lit, but nothing was ever right when it came to what he was looking for. You absolutely cannot get a perfect grade with this man. Really disheartening.

The worst professor I have ever had. The amount of work is crazy! It is genuinely impossible to juggle other classes when you take his class. I struggled in multiple classes because at one point we were working on two different papers AND two discussion posts. He is rude and unbelievably political so if that is not for you, don't take this class.

Very harsh non caring professor. I went to the writing center to get professional help on a essay due and he still graded the paper awful… it's super impossible to get a good grade in his class and he's hard to reach, he never responds back to email to get a clear understanding for essays

Glenn Harris was hired by Mott to help students overcome sleeping disorders. Just one visit to his class and even the most troubled insomniac is cured. Years ago, he fainted in his own class, and many believed that he had literally bored himself into a coma. Truly a legend of boredom. . .

Do not take this class. It is straight up politics, the book that we had to buy was a democracy book. We've only wrote 2 papers so far and we're over halfway through this semester. All the discussions have been revolving around democracy and things that shouldn't be taught in and English class.

You get one week of an actual English class, then it turns into Polisci101. The textbook is just about the constitution and then you have an essay about the book and an essay about creating an amendment. This class made me not care about politics anymore because how absolutely forced it is. Zero actual feedback regarding grammar or how to improve.

This was the worst class I have ever taken. Extremely political and only his views are correct. We had to discuss with our classmates politics and this is an English class. Don't ever take this class.

The class might as well be a political science class, with only one way of thinking. The professor force feeds you his narrative, completely ruining the course for the students. I will never advise someone to take this professor. If you don't agree with his politics, you're wrong. Stay away.
