Prof. Pico starts his cals with a syllabus which resmbles the rules for boot camp. He comes across as very unyeilding and unhelpful, if you can take another class, do. If not, prepare yourself.
I appreciate Prof. Pico's teaching style. I feel he is one of the easiest Math teachers at CRC. He doesn't make you do homework, but you need to if you want to pass the class.

Very easy class. Tests questions are taken directly from homework. But the homework isn't collected, so don't take the class if you aren't adult enough to be responsible on your own. He will drop students for missing too many classes, and is a little strange. Lots of extra credit and easy tests.

Very sensitive, very avoidant, lazy, does as he wishes, make sure to turn your cell phone off in class, and do your homework you won't learn much.
I don't know what the other people were talking about...I thought mr. pico was odd, but very clear and a good and easy teacher and the good thing about hw not being collected was that if you understood it you didnt have to do the bs work...its college not hs...i learned a lot in his class...take it
HE IS SOOO LAZY!!!! He writes problems on the board and ask students to work them while he reads the newspaper. He just ask people does everyone understand, before anyone answers we are on a new section. He doesn't care if you get it or not he just tries to get everything done in one lecture.
Pico started off ok, but then, before class one day, he informed me he had dropped me for missing 7 classes. I could understand if I had actually missed 7 classes, but I had only missed 3, due to circumstances beyond my control. He is horrible with attendance and completely absurd.
Pico looks like a dirty trucker. When he drinks water he spills it on himself like a baby. Some guy giggled in class and Pico got mad and gave everyone a quiz. He doesn't collect homework, so there is no point in doing it. Just be prepared for a quiz. He likes to use them to get back at students.
nothing much to say, doesnt collect hw, just pay attention in class. he has some fruity jokes sometimes, but at least he tries. his effort to make jokes are funny. class was fairly easy, i didnt study and did no hw, and got a B.
Major ****. People ask questions for problems they do not understand but if he already does a similar problem he will not do the one you want. ****!!!!!!!!!!!
I think Pico is a lazy, absurd, unprofessional, childish, a sorry excuse for a college professor. He does not answer any questions. And I think he's rude when he responds to people's questions. Pico quit giving yourself good ratings because nobody else will!!!!
Kind of makes me feel better !!! Wooowww, I thought I was the only one to think this way but definitely, he's lazy and not approachable at all. He's not a good teacher since he does not care about his students. All he cares about is getting paid when getting his butt of his chair to erase the board.....
He doesn't tolerate your car being stolen as an excuse for being late to class but he's okay with people who are in sports who are late, and he gives extra credit for ridiculous things like erasing the blackboard...wtf? And I dunno about you, but I can't learn by working in groups for a math class.
Everyone who's said about Pico is true. He is lazy and not as responsible as some other math teachers, but he does do a solid job in teaching the materials. However, the way he explains things, people with good understanding of math background will likely to do fine, but people who's always had trouble with math may be struggling.

this teacher is pretty easy for the lower level math classes, havent taken a class with him at high levels, but hes not as bad as the other people say, just show up to class do your work and you ll pass
best calculus teacher i've ever had. probably the best calculus teacher in CRC. Grades unweighted, 2 quizzes worth of extracredit for just coming to class everyday, easy tests (MC!)etc. if you're there everyday you can get an A easily.

I was unfortunate enough to have Professor Pico as a teacher and i have to agree with many of the previous critiques. Pico is very knowledgable about the subject he teaches but lacks the finesse and approachabily of a teacher. He won't slow down even if you don't understand the material, and make you feel like an idiot if you ask him to.

Very clear speaker, kinda funny when explaining things at times. I find him very helpfull, but he has students grade papers in order to pass the class (all the students) and he assigns allot of homework. i mean ALLOT.

ugh...one of the worst profs that I took...I don't get his teachings at all and sometimes it's as if he's talking to the black board when he's doing problems. He doesn't return quizzes on time and doesn't go over it at all...so you can't use it to study for the exams.

Had this teacher 4 years ago, and looks like nothing has changed. Was the worst math teacher I ever had, horrible at teaching, arrogant and condescending to students. TAKE A DIFFERENT TEACHER. He gave me a low C. I'm in 3rd semester calc now and have gotten all A's since. If you did bad in his class, IT WAS JUST HIM, YOU'RE PROABLY OK AT MATH
He is definitely the laziest math teacher at CRC, or maybe even the entire Losrios district, but he is one of the better lecturers I've seen. (of course, you need to have legitimate amount of understanding of math) Besides, his class is a joke, curves every test and gives enormous amount of extra credit! EASY A!!! Even a dummy can get at least a B!
It would be nice if he told us he wouldnt be at school for some of us that only have one class on days he never shows up...gas isnt cheap!!

The laziest teacher, if you get on his bad side he will treat you like you are worth nothing. Very rude. When I took his class a lot of students dropped and/or complained. And no extra credit was given. I recomend Mark Hunter or Brian Tenesson (the best math teachers).

Worst Teacher ever, someone must do something. He does not care about teaching, just about getting a paycheck, stay clear, heed the advice, I wish I did. I dropped him after my third class when I had a family emergency. You know what he said, "There is no such thing as an unexcused abscence!" Save yourself the time, take Mr. Hunter, he rocks.
He goes over material too fast to keep up and doesn't review the material as well as other teachers I've had. His teaching style is very ineffective to me because he doesn't seem to be engaged with his students.
He is very clear to me. He is very easy example for the test you have 29 question and he will grade out of 25 so you have 4 free question. I understood him very much.

Glenn Pico is a teacher from hell. He is irresponsible, unprofessional, and he comes to class late and unprepared. He also has mood-swings and takes it out on the students. You can't depend on him if you want to do well. Be prepared to study hard at home.
I finally was able to learn something! What a great Professor. He is understanding and willing to spend time helping students with problems and questions. Im hoping to be able to take more classes with him in the fall.
GREAT CLASS! Just finished the final and it was exactly what i expected. Professor Pico was helpful and made the class very enjoyable.
This Guy literally has personal issues that has an affect to his teaching habits. He's not the best and is more or less mean to his students. Ex. I asked for a retake he told me to come to room X on Friday, I went to room X and it was wrong. Talked to him on Monday and said, well you should have looked around in diff. classrooms gave F on the test.

This teacher was a joke. The ENTIRE class kept asking him to slow down while he was explaining a problem. His response was that if we couldn't keep up maybe we should be in a lower math class. He doesn't seem to care about his job or the students he teaches (and I use that term loosely). If it's possible I would definitely avoid him.

Mr.Pico is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He is lazy and rude to the students in his class. He does not give back the original test just the scatron. He knows he needs to give the test answers back so that we can see where we need the most help, but he doesnt. That is of no help. The majority of his class is failing.What a guy!!!!!

Did an excellent job.Examples were directly out of the book,explained them well.I took his summer pre alg class,& passed the competency grad test NO PROB! I would take him again. He likes you to pay attention and come to class. If you do homework and pay attention you will do well. I tested in pre alg, i'm now in math 120.
Pico is pretty cool. He seems like a drill Sergent in the beginning but when he starts teaching you can really sense that he cares about you and your grade.
He doesn't explain problems, he just does them as he goes. When i ask him to do the inner details, he makes sarcastic remarks and doesn't help out. He also tried to make me feel dumb. He doesn't explain anything. He uses the book 100% and doesn't do his own problems.

Mr.Pico is a good person if you take the time to get to know him. He comes at you with the boot camp attitude just to get you going. Most of the students who wrote mean things about him are probably getting a bad grade.

HE is BAD!!! Most of my class is failing! When we tell him we dont understand he makes you feal bad and still doesnt really explain it. He also skips steps Which doesnt really help in math. I honestly tried to like him and felt bad but he is not all that great and he threatened us to give us more homework when none of us get it as it is.

I liked Pico. The first 2 tests were a bit hard but after that, everything was easy, too bad some people dropped. Pico was very helpful after the 2nd test. I liked his reviews before tests. Go to class everyday, look over the book examples and do your homework and you'll be fine.
Mr. Pico really was a good teacher. Definately not nearly as bad as people make him out to be. i really did learn a lot and feel like im definately ready for moving further in math. I took him over the summer so we had a lot of HW, but it was great practice. Really, if you just attend class, pay attention, do the homework, you'll do just fine.
Do not take this guy if you have to take this class before you start read the book do all the questions it would be about the same the only things he says are the sample stuff out of the book or how the book is to easy and will give you home work alot harder and its nothing thats in the book.
He's good at teaching and organize; however, you can't drink or eat or talk or make any noise in class. He's impatient sometimes. And he rushes through the section which makes it confusing sometimes. You need a lot of focusing to learn in his class.

Completely boring. Treats students as if we're in 7th grade. Doesnt grade hw but gives quizzes on them. So if you get it you dont need to do the hw. The class is pretty easy if you follow along, buti hated going to class. Wish i'd chosen a different teacher.

Terrible teacher, i felt like i was in Jr high. All he did was yell at the students. Impossible to get ahold of him.
Don't take this teacher, he ridicules students for asking questions, when he is finished ridiculing, he does not give a clear, concise answer. He will go on a non-math related 15-20 minute rant, then says that he does not have time to answer questions about math. Collects a lot of homework consists of 50-60 problems a night. Tests are hard.
Honestly Mr.Pico can use some work with his teaching methods. However thats no excuse for our grades. I was a HORRIBLE math student before taking this class. Bad teacher or not I buckled down and passed the class. When it comes down to it your only gonna get out what you put in and I really learned that from Mr.Pico. Thank you.

Often the materials taught in class do not cover all the homework, leaving you guessing. Take a different teacher; I did and I actually understand math now!!

this teacher is out of his mind. in the beginning he tried to play cool and funny, then he put his mask to the side and was very rude, explains quickly and its hard to catch up to him, he assigned 63 homework exercises on the first day of class, and it was due the next class session, terrible terrible terrible
Moves very fast in class, stands in front of the board when writing notes and doesn't read while he is writing. Very hard to follow his lecture and take his notes. Assigns busy-work homework that doesn't prepare you for in class quiz's and exams. Doesn't follow syllabus. Inconsistent on grading papers. Uses WebAssign, requires Flash! Try to avoid!
Had him for Intermediate Algebra. He assigned 150+ homework problems in a week and graded 4, at random. Your work on those 4 would determine your grade. He refused to help you if no one else would demonstrate the problem and would move on. Bookstore guy apologized to me when he heard I got this teacher. He was simply awful.
Just took this dude for math 100 at ARC, he is such an ass, i truly hate him! Never would help and always had a smart ass answer to anything, what an ****.
absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had the misfortune to have. I honestly have no idea why he still has his job. The examples he shows in class are very stupidly simple but the homework is almost impossibly hard. He teachers with 'rigor' which basically means you have to teach yourself. we never use the book either so don't waste your money.
Pico's lectures and the class notes are actually way more thorough and in depth than the textbook and he actually explains things in detail so you can understand the why not just how. I am majoring in engineering so I need to need to understand calculus not just get through it, so if you are like me, Pico is the prof for you.
Pico's class is fun and easy. All you have to do is come to class and he goes over how to do all of the problems and reviews to get you ready for the tests. He also jokes around with us which makes the class almost fun. The only way to get a bad grade in this class is if you don't try.
Pico is awesome.. I took him last summer 2010.. If u work hard u will pass his class I dont believe what all this students are saying about him He answers u when u call him And his solving is great So people pls stop saying bad thinks about pico.. Get up and do some work for urself
Great DE teacher.
He is very clear and detailed in his instruction and he also explains the math to make it more interesting. He also reviews before each exam so you will do well. I only wish he was teaching Math 401.

Pico is a good professor. I took his math 401. The course requires a WebAssign subscription to do homework online. He helps clear my question fast. He records his lectures and use them for many times. He helps me write some recommendation letters. So far he is better than my previous math professor.
Got through fine watching no lectures. There was a requirement of making a post to a discussion board each week which was easy points. As long as you said something you were good. I did fine on the homework and math tests but the extra credit from the group project raised my grade substantially from an A- to an A+. Didn't respond to emails.
Easy credits with minimal effort. Participation posts and a group project boosted my grade from an A- to an A+. unstuckstudy was a great study tool alongside the textbook. Wouldn't say the lectures were essential, but the class wasn't too difficult overall.
