Never spend more than 10 min in class, take home exams(2),and he gives the questions and the answer for the final.Very Easy, but if u attempt to cheat during final, forget it, he walks around the room like he lost $$ or something.So just memorize it.

He is the kindest professor at St. John's. He is easy, but only because he understands that life doesn't revolve around Metaphysics. He will help out any student that asks. Unfortunately, he is too often taken advantage of.

This man is not only one of the easiest "A"s at SJU but he is a really nice guy, he has funny jokes/stories and you actually do learn something. He actually makes Logic understandable. Two GENEROUSLY CURVED take home midterms (all MC) and one final (all MC but SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT). YOU MUST TAKE THIS MAN. Believe me, you will not regret it.

Ok this guy is Amazing, BUT he has a lisp problem and he talks LOW that u cant listen to him. What makes him great is he gives 2 take home exams, no hwk, attandance in the beg. of class and then u can leave, and he is very sweet and helpful. U need to buy the txtbk if u dont pay attention to him, but the txtbk is HARD!!!

Prof Statile is the kindest teacher in all of St Johns. Just 2 take home tests, which he allows you to hand in weeks late if you want, and then the final which is kinda on the hard side, but he grades it very generously. 5 points added to your final average for showing up everyday. This guy is a must take. You will not regret it.

Great guy! And he's so funny! Logic can get tedious but Dr. Statile is the guy to get you through. Tests are take home, attendance not required (but highly recommended). Do the homework, go to class, and you'll get an A, no problem. Oh, and he gives curves.

awesome professor! his lectures aren't that inspiring so just bring your laptop and take notes whenever you choose to listen. i never bought the book and wrote all my papers based on the notes i took in class and the internet. handed in the first paper on the last day of classes and still got an A! very lenient. a really nice guy! TAKE HIM!

Dr. Statile is clearly a students teacher. He is extremely nice and caring! Just because he won't fail you does not mean you should not do the work he assigns. I learned a lot with him! For those who do not show up or pay attention in class, I feel sorry for you. You missed out on incredible knowledge!

Okay, he is one of the smartest guys I have EVER met. He's very well-rounded and can talk to you forever about any topic! I took him for philosophy of science. Great lecturer, very knowledgeable, attendance isn't mandatory at all and he's an easy grader. What more do you want!? Take him for ANY phil class!

BEST PHILOSOPHY PROF EVER! All test including midterm and final are take home. His class is a little boring and easy to fall asleep in but if you try and stay awake and take notes you can just base all your papers on your notes and you'll get an A

Super easy professor!! Easy A!! Takes attendence so please show up in class. Nothing to do beside 3 exams (5 to 8 essay questions per each) are all take home and email submit (accept late submit). But BE CAREFUL if you decide to copy and paste online when doing take home exams. He will fail you if he discovered you work just copied and pasted!

Dr. Statile is incredible. He is extremely kind and humble. His lectures may seem dry if you zone out but pay attention and you will be intellectually rewarded. I stressed on my 3 take homes but you shouldn't. He gives extensive tailored feedback so put effort. Write honestly. TB NOT necessary if you take OK notes. Take homes 5-8q 500-800 words ea.

Excellent professor. If you attend his classes, paying attention and taking notes you should have no problem doing take home assignments. These assignments are not necessarily easy but possible to do. Dr Statile is a good grader and will give you good feed back.

Has 3 exams, all are take home. However he requires at least 500 words on each question (5-10 questions) which gets a bit tedious. Super friendly guy but his lectures are so boring. Attendence is required for +5 points to your final grade. Definitely knows a lot about philosophy but doesnt execute in a great way.

Took him online, easy A. 500 word essay due every Sunday which are boring at times but doable. 1 exam at the end of the semester which wasn't the hardest thing in the world but it takes time. If you do whatever he asks you to do and if you follow the syllabus, it's guaranteed an A (unless you're lazy)

I really like philosophy but his class didn't really excite me. His lectures are pretty boring which is a shame because the material is actually really interesting. Overall an easy class but I wish it would've been more fulfilling.

Good guy, solid professor. Course consisted of two take-home tests and a take-home final. A lot of writing, but he uploads PowerPoints to blackboard so you don't have to take notes in class. Lectures every class and takes attendance. Gives extra points on the final if you have good attendance. Submit the exams on time and you'll get an A.

Dr. Statile is a fantastic person and professor. I learned a lot in his class (phil of sci), but the lectures did get boring. I would recommend him, though, overall. Reading at least the main points of the text is necessary to a good grade. Three take-home tests that are super long (10-20 hrs depending) but good class overall and brilliant guy.

Cool professor, my class is at 9 a.m and I'm a commuter, he was respectful and understood if I was late to class and lateness did not affect my grade.

He has to be nicest professor on this campus. He knows not everyone likes the topic, so he makes the class as easy as humanly possible. Coming to class is EC so its optional. 2 take home exams, 1 take home final, all of which are graded very liberally. All the notes are posted on his blackboard page. I never opened the textbook. Take him.

I took Professor Statile's class online and it was very simple. There were weekly papers due but they were only 500 words minimum and to help with the papers, he gave out many readings and videos to help guide us which was very helpful. He was very accessible by email and was a tremendous help with any questions you had.

The BEST professor you can ever take! He's so sweet and very understanding. All you need to do is show up to class, he takes attendance daily. He posts all of his notes online and all tests are take home. Use the notes for the test and you'll do amazing. Professor Statile is a top notch professor. He teaches a hard subject but is willing to take all questions and involve the students. He asks that you read some chapters before class and watch at least part of some posted videos. His tests are take home exams. He is genuinely caring and great at his job.

Glenn Statile is the sweetest man. He genuinely cares about you. Although he is a little bit older, does not speak very loud, and lectures a little , he always let us out early, and his tests are all relatively easy. I didn't own the book; he does ask questions during class on "hw", but doesn't call people out. First two tests can be found online.

Statile's online metaphysics class is so easy would def recommend if you're a pharmD kid. Theres weekly 500 page paper but they're super easy u DO NOT need the textbook everything is in his notes and discussion board can literally be about anything covered that week the final is also in his full semester notes TAKE HIMMMM

Professor Statile's online metaphysics class was really easy. There is 1 essay and discussion post due each week(10 total) and an open book final. You can write about any weekly material in the discussion board and use external sources for the essay(cite them obviously). Gives good feedback and final was open book too!

Dr Statile is an amazing professor. His class is very easy to follow along with. I learned so much and really enjoyed it at the same time. I recommend any of his classes. He is very sweet and an amazing professor!

If you have the opportunity to take Dr. Statile, you should. He is a great professor and actually cares about his students. I would recommend anyone who doesn't like philosophy to take him as he help endear you to the subject. If you can't do well in his course you can't do well anywhere!

I took Professor Statile for an online class and although it was very slow and boring (no offense to him its just philosophy) he is a good professor. Take him if you want 3 take-home essay tests the whole semester and no homework.

LOVED! Hated the amount of papers but his units are fun and made you think. Definitely wants you to have an opinion not just reiterate the readings. 10 500 word essays and a final with 50 very detailed questions. I texted him throughout the semester. He is great! Honestly take him.

Professor Statile is amazing and you can tell he actually cares about his students. I took his asynchronous course so it was 10 papers, one a week, and a final. The papers are challenging but doable and he responds with actual feedback so you can tell how much he loves what he does. You def have to put in the work but it's a great class

His course in Epistemology was 3 exams. The exams included an essay and some multiple choice. (But all the info is readily available through the module info he gives!) He was so kind and encouraging. He always had nice things to say about my work and for someone whos a bad test taker, I never got lower than a 97 on his exams! Take him! He cares!

Super easy class, only tests, no midterm of final. You don't even have to show up to class and he even emails the videos of the lecture to you automatically.

The most amazing philosophy professor I have ever had. The only text you need is the one he wrote, but you can get the pdf from someone for like $15. You don't even necessarily need to use the text, as I used google and things like that. One paper a week and a very easy final that is all true/false. 10/10 would recommend and would take again.

Professor Statile is the best. Take him if you get the chance and you wont regret it. There's 3 essays, but you'll get a high score easily as long as you write something with an ounce of effort put into it. No textbook is needed as he uses his own notes for class, and the homework is optional. Overall, my favorite philosophy professor so far.

I'm taking Dr. Statile for Epistemology, and he is a wonderful professor. He cares solely about enriching the students' minds, and helps you no matter what your circumstances are. A true selfless professor. If you want to learn philosophy and be guided along the way by a kind and genuine professor, take Dr. Statile.

PLEASE TAKE HIM!! I had him for Honors Philosophy 3000 and he only made us do 3 tests which were all take home, and he didn't give less than an A on any of them. Such a caring professor and such a kind man, he makes sure he knows your name and face so try to go to class. Lectures were long but you could do other stuff on your laptop. DEF TAKE!!!!

Lectures are pretty dull, but he is a super chill and nice guy overall. He says he doesn't take attendance, but I think he does? As long as you show up in the class, you're good. All tests are take-home, online essays and true/false questions.

Professor Statile is genuinely a sweetheart. He remembers almost all of the students' names and gives lengthy response to all of the essays that you hand in. That being said, the class is very boring, but all of the actual assignments are take home so you don't really need to pay much attention. He also provides the full class notes from the start.

Dr. Statile is great! Weekly 500-word essay based on material he provides. Can take a while but really is not that bad. He provides great, timely feedback as well. Multiple choice final at the end of the semester. Really good asynchronous class to take, I really enjoyed learning the material.

Professor was super organized. The course was straightforward, with one 500-word essay per unit and a 50 question T/F MCQ final exam. All modules were easy to navigate and he always responded to assignment submissions quickly. The material was a bit uninteresting, as expected. If you're on top of deadlines, this class should be an easy A.
