he is a great teachers his tests are hard but he let ppl co-operate if u know wt i mean,and he takes term papers as in extra credits ur gonna have to be a dumass mf to fail this class,easy b.

Although his teaching skills are moderate, he definitely shows care for the students. He wants you to suceed. He gets students involved in the class. At the end of the semester, everybody knew each others name.

I absolutley loved this professor. He is so much fun and his tests are pretty easy if you pay attention and write notes. I got an A on each test without a book! The students can be kind of annoying and hold up class time by asking for free therapy. I recommend taking the evening class.

Sometimes confusing, contradictory. A bit ego-driven, but harmless. Definitely enthusiastic. Always has personal stories to relate to material. Participation is BIG in his class. Take notes, but read the book-much of his test material comes from the book.

Would highly recommend Dr White for any class. He is one of the most dedicated professors there is.

Dr. White is probably the best teacher I have ever had at West. He always happy, likes he's on some antidepressants. You can tell that he likes to teach. He helped me and my friend out because we didn't have money to get class book. When I make it big I'll make sure that I will break Dr. White off some cheese when I get older.

He is truly a great teacher! I love his lecture. I took it during summer 2006, so (I think) there was five tests and final one. He dropped the lowest grade. You need to write a final paper for him about any topic related to Psychology. The class was easy. If you were honest, sincere, and like to participate. You will definitely get an A.

I also took him summer of 2006 because I wasn't able to do so at smc (where I currently attend)and boy did he change my world around. First I was undecided although I was about to start senior year of high school but after that summer and I walked out thinking about being a Psych major in which I am pursuing. I LOVE HIM!

I had never planned to take a Human Sexuality course though I am a psycholgy major. I met Dr.W and he seemed nice. He told me taking something different than other students would assist me in getting into a 4 yr college. HE WAS RIGHT ! I got into UCLA, USC and UC Berkeley.I learned so much from him and am going to UCLA as a pschology major. GREAT

He is very funny and down to earth, sometimes he can get a little strange, but it was funny to me, so I think it depends on how you take situations. He hates people coming in late and will kick you out, and he doesn't like the book, he says it's wrong sometimes, which also makes me laugh, so my suggestion is to not buy it, but overall he was cool

He loves teaching and it shows. He is down to earth, very intelligent and tells great stories. I laugh more in the three hours of his class than I do all week! I've learned a lot too.

I could tell from the start that he is very passionate about teaching, and wants his students to grasp something from his courses. He has the kind of personality that makes you want to go to class, even when you're sick. (...I don't recommend that, but I'm just making a point.) Take a course with him! I can't wait to take another!

This instructor stands a head above all the rest. He motivates an inspire students and go above and beyond the teaching standards. His lectures or absolutely mesmerizing. I compare him to a drug addiction... You just can't get enough. If possible, I would have him as an instructor for all of my classes.

It's hard to rate someone that is beyond with words alone can describe...I urge all who want to learn and grow, to take this Professor. Great instructor.THE BEST! He goes out of his way to make sure you don't fail. Gives extra credit to pull grade up. Great lectures, very comical. If you plan on comming to class late, interupting, trying to teach the class yourself, cell phone going off and plan on not reading your book...Then this instructor is just not for you.

I took his classes in 2005. As I sit and think about the previous years, I remember how much I enjoyed his classes. After all these years, I realize how much of an impact he had on me.

I've had the pleasure of taking Dr. White FOR 5 classes. In each class, I learned so much from him. His mentoring took part in my decision to continue on with my education. He's a great professor.

It is not about the grade with this instructor. It's about the students learning something, and placing critical thinking to what is being taught. So reading your books and discussions are a major factor in his class. If you are there to impress, debate or show how much you know,don't take this instructor.He's my favorite instructor by far.

Fantastic,knowledgeable,organized,and informative are just a few of the words to describe this professor. I thought this class would be boring like many other classes where I would fall a sleep because I work at night. I learned more than I ever dreamed of. Now I can diagnosis my family and learned never to ask the question why.

Dr. White is the most motivational instructor I ever had. My goal was to just get a certificate. His relentless encouragement gave me the courage to continue on with my education. I am now close to receiving my BA and I will continue on for my Masters Degree. Paper rattling, talking and cell phones agitate him. His bark is worst than bite.

Dr. White is an informative professor who relates real life situations to his lectures, to help students understand the fundamentals of psychology. He specializes with different forms of psychology and has knowledgeable tools dealing with the medical field.

This is an instructor who intensely care about his students. If you put forth an effort, there is no way you will fail. He works with students who struggle with tests by offering extra credit. I took Dr. White for Psych 37. This is my 4th time taking a class of Dr. White's. He is hands down the most talented educator at West LA. He is sharp and witty and is bound on producing caliber students. You do have to attend and do the reading but his lectures and charisma are worth it. You will learn and get much out of his classes!

Dr. Glenn White is the best Psychology Professor I've taken. If you pay attention to his lecture's and do the work you should be fine. Just remember to take notes, I just wish he could teach more classes at L.A.C.C, cause he really wants you to learn.

Dr. White is simply inspirational, and is probably one of the reasons why I decided to move forward in my academic career. You must attend class, participation is necessary, and he will call you out if you aren't paying attention or texting. Dr. White has a lot of knowledge and experience. He will transmit that knowledge to you, but he expects you to fulfill your role as a student. The class had a lot of basic concepts, but he always had stories with practical examples, so the class wouldn't be only about definining psychological terms. Do your part, and he will help you succeed.

I like Prof. White. Took his winter class and I'm glad I did, was pretty interesting. He's a pretty nice person, wants everyone to succeed, and stresses the importance of education. Could be a bit passive aggressive at times, however. I would take him again, he really knows his stuff. Just show up to class because you can miss a lot if you skip.

Dr. White is deeply rooted in critical thinking. Therefore, you must read the chapters and prepare for discussion. If you come to class, take good lecture notes and don't wait til the last minute to study; you will do well. He is not going to debate and argue with you. I took 4 courses with him. You will never get bored in his class. All he wants is to see his students success. Few tips, read the lectures before class, participation will give you an A even if you fail in your tests. Don't ever let your phone ring in class. He is gonna ask you to leave if that happens. Most professors do not incorporate life and lecture and he does an amazing job giving both knowledge and experience. Professor White is a very kind person. Addiction Studies is a field where people need to be compassionate and caring and Professor White is a great example for us. He shares his knowledge and experience with the class in order to help us understand what the field is like so that we'll be prepared for the workforce.

Professor White made human sexuality comfortable and he is so easy to talk to. You need to be prepared to be an independent student if you are taking this course online. If you read and participate during lectures you will do great.

Dr. White's PSY 41 class is AMAZING. His lectures are informative. I attend a University out of state and his Psychology lectures were better than I have ever had. The take away message is if you want to learn about Life Span Psychology, this is the professor to take. And I received an "A" too.
