Try to avoid this one. Shows up late often, will try to keep you in after class end to finish long note taking sessions. Unclear, seems not to know much about the material, not interesting in the least. If you're lazy, you can manage a B in here, though.

She is a small lady, making her voice very small. She seems to know what she is teaching in her own head. But she sometimes does not express it clearfully or almost as if she thinks you already know what shes talkin about because she already knows it. She uses Videos quite a bit in my class. My advice to anyone is to sit up front, take notes, and try to pay attention.

Her class has very long boring lectures. She just reads everything off the board. She is a tough grader. She makes you feel stupid for asking a question in class. I finished the class with an 89 and I regularly attended class, did every assignment and did EVERY extra credit assignment and she still didn't bump me up.

Nelson is a kind teacher who cares for students. She has a monotone voice and talks very quietly. Her lectures are very boring and she talks from the PowerPoints. You can pass the exams by studying the vocabulary words/concepts from posted study guides before each test. You will have to do a project- which is easy! I recommend her if you want a A!

She's very sweet and knowledgable on all the topics. Sometimes she is a little disorganized in her lectures, but as long as you skim through the textbook and study the study guide before exams, you can get an A! In 230 there were 4 exams, 1 group presentation, & 5 quizzes. Homework almost every week, but it was just the definitions from the chapter

GREAT PROFESSOR! EASY A!! 1 group project through out the semester (very easy). Gives study guides that really help, 4 exams through out semester. Only homework you have are definitions from each chapter. She gives at least 5-7 quizzes through out the semester ( says there are pop quizzes but she really hints to you when there is one) 10q's.

I took her summer online class. Doesn't accept late work. I am a straight A student, haven't missed a class, and got in contact with her for extra credit submissions, she didn't offer any, and gave me almost nothing on participation. If your major isn't Psychology or anything related, don't take this class.

Professor Nelson was nothing special. She was nice and helpful, but not interested in her students outside of class. I took the 6-week summer course so lectures were 3+ hours at a time. Every lecture was extremely painful because there were no breaks offered and she was extremely monotone. The work was easy and expectations are clearly laid out.

She was nice until you ask a "dumb" question. I asked a simple yes or no question and it turned into a lecture about that question making no sense. As you can imagine, I was taken aback by her response because she basically said it was a dumb question to ask. You're the teacher and I pay you to help me??? So beware of asking "dumb" questions... :/

As stated by other raters she's pretty good. Lectures tend to drag and she can go off on tangents. Very easy weekly assignments. You'll pass tests as long as you study. She was helpful when asked questions but she's very clear in what she asks, so I didn't really see a need in asking very many. Not many assignments or tests.

She's a FAIR professor: put forth minimal effort, get a poor grade; put forth average effort, get an average grade; but if you put forth lots of effort into everything you do, participate in class and the regular in-class group assignments, and ask questions when you need clarification, you will receive a stellar grade!
