Professor Clay is an amazing woman. I was very skeptical about working in the circle of knowledge, but I grew to love it and look forward to it. A little tip: keep your notebook organized from day one and keep all of the handouts. Bring a smile to class and be yourself, your opinion matters here!This class is FUN!!!

What a great teacher. The way she has her class set up will make you learn whether you want to or not. I would deffinately take her class again if I could. I highly recomend her.

Very easy class. Do not take it for granted though. Though this is an easy "A" it does take hard work at the same time. She helps be creative in using your mind and gives a different view of what anyone would think Sociology is. Take her and you'll see for yourself. Her structure is very different and it is really fun.

Prepare to be confused but it is an easy A as long as you show up to class and turn in the assignment of what you learned in te previous class. Talk about "Social" in sociology. Lol

Mrs. Clay is Unique/Amazing has a special way of teaching. Take her for Sociology easy A if you show up test are easy and class is fun a little confusing at first, but you will adjust quick.

Okay, Ms. Clay is great. She doesn't teach traditionally. Rarely there are desks. Just do what she asks. Write something every day!! The final at the end is a book and the more you have, the better. Participate!! She is confusing on what she wants, but just keep asking questions and you will get it :) EASY A! (if you participate)

She even gave us pictures of our groups for Christmas, you guys. Sweetest teacher ever. Take her, you will not regret it!!!

Prof. Clay is by far one of the nicest professors you will get in a college setting. She genuinely cares about her students and wants you to enjoy her class. It is rather unorthodox, but its a nice change. If you come to class with your notebook, and write a paper everyday you will get an A, no doubt about that. Take her class! She is great!

Professor Clay is an amazing teacher. In her Sociology class she uses the circle of knowledge which is a technique that help us learn and teach at the same time. We sat in a circle And discussed every topic she give no test or quizes only the midterm and that is an easy A . She does give us lots of essays to do, every day but only 1 paragraph !

Skip 2 class you may not pass!

Easy A for sociology, you have to write A LOT in her class, pretty much after every class meeting, but the writing is your own opinions so there is no right or wrong answers. you can miss 2 weeks and still catch up. she allowed make up attending other classes for attendance. it can be unclear sometimes but just ask her about it and she will help

Be prepared professor Clay teaches her class in a circle and under the principal that each one teach one. Although you will do a lot of writing there are no right or wrong answers in her class. Be prepared to be present in class, don't take if you aren't going to take it seriously. You must read aloud everyday. A little unorthodox but well worth it

Professor clay is an awesome teacher, I absolutely love her. I really enjoyed my time in her class. No lecture we just sit in a circle and talk. You do write papers after every class but they are so easy! Midterm is 20 questions and she gives you the answers to study, final is reading on sociology. If you want an easy "A" this is the class for you.

Mrs. Clay is a beautiful person. She is caring and very knowledgeable in sociology. Her teaching style is "each one, teach one" which means thst attendance is a must and participation will get you a good grade. Attend every class, participate in the class discussions, write your papers, you'll get an A.

Professor Gloria Clay's teaching style is amazing. The circle of knowledge method really works. At first the method feels weird because it's nothing you are used to but by the 2nd or 3rd week you'll love it. The professor is always helpful trying to draw the knowledge out of you. If you take this class, you will truly leave changed.

This class inspired us to think and view life in different perspectives. We sat in a circle every day to better interact with each other and hear everyones opinions. I like how every class was a different topic and we was able to express our selfs.

She is an amazing professor, one of the best professors I've taken on campus. She's not tough at all, she is super leanient and will understand if you are having a problem, you have homework everyday but it's just homework on what you leaned. She's very funny and will make the class interesting. Nice discussions with her.

Professor Clay holds a special talent with her students. Professor Clay allows her students to become the teachers of the classroom by encouraging discussions on various topics. With her passion for her students professor Clay enlightens everyone with sociological wisdom which will help better yourself and the world around you. You are amazing!

Participation and turning in essays are the main aspects of the class. She only has one test and has an final essay. Only problem is that you would HAVE to keep every piece of paper that you are given and every essay that is assigned for a booklet that is part of the final.

We got put in groups and had to write a short paper every class. She sat us in a large circle and wanted everyone to talk. Her explanations werent always clear, we had to ask clarifying questions. Attendance matters. But shes nice. Al ot of writing but its easy and the discussions were fun. Spoiler: Sociology as a field is Marxist and unscientific.

The class was definitely a lot different from all the others I have taken. Be ready to read every class because you will have a two page paper due. As long as you keep all your papers and read its a an easy a

We learnt from the circle of knowledge, she has a lot of materials that gave us more insight on sociology and the real world. She is a pleasant woman and always ready to work with you. Take this class.

I highly recomend to take her. She is the best prof in hcc. Its very easy A . No quizzes or tests. The only thing you have to do is to write what you learned from the class, and keep all the hands out because you will need them when she check your binder and the essay you write at the mid and final term.

This is not the class to take if you value structure and lectures. You will write 2 papers every week and then read what you wrote. You will read ALL THE TIME. Show up and do your papers and you will be fine.

Professor Clay is by far a nice and easy going person. Perhaps her class structure is a little different than the normal. Her classroom is set up in a circle, participation is a plus. Be ready to read out loud in class..... Definitely an easy A and funny!

I recommend taking this class. Professor Clay embraces everyones different point of views and creates an environment where people feel comfortable in doing so. It is free spirited where you can write the required shorts papers on any topic of your choice as it relates to sociology and sharing with the class is a requirement. Attendance is a MUST.

She is the best prof at hcc. The only thing you have to do is to wright two pages about what we did in class everyday we meet. She dont care about grammers and what you wrote in the paper, she only want you to write anything even a joke or a conversation with your friends or anything happened in the class.

Participate. Writing will be a must and almost every week but its at a very capable pace. Would not do this with English class but with a mix of all your other courses this is a very passable and one of a kind class. If you are great in open discussion type of learning with other characters and without judgement then this is your type of learning.

Please dont worry about bad reviews. she is an awesome professor. The only thing you have to do is to write a page for each class meeting. Just write what happened in the class or what you learned, just anything. she dont read it, but she might ask you to read it in class. No mid no final exam if you do all writing papers for each day.

Show up everyday and write 2 pages double spaced OPINION based paper from previous class. Take all handouts and papers you wrote and put into a binder for the whole semester and you will receive and A. Its not your typical classroom environment but give it a chance. If you dont show up. You wont pass. You have to be there participate.

OMG, I have no enough words to explain how much I love her. She is absolutely the best,its very easy to pass her class with an A specially for students whos English is not their first language.

Trust me, she is the best and easiest professor in hcc. Do never look at the bad comments, I dont how could they rate her like that. Just do your work which is a page of writing what you did in class, just anything even if you write about your friends in the class she wont mind. You will get an A for sure.

She is like a cute little mother, so caring about her students and very interactive with them, best easy class. Opinion based essay due and read aloud every class, and 3 small group projects due. Show up, don't skip, it's graded. About 45 assignments total in the class.
