great teaching style
class is a challenge, way too much information crammed in 2 semesters! YIKES!
one semester organic chem... tough the first time around, second time was easier
She goes at rediculous speeds!
Very tough class, hard to teach. But she attempts this fairly well. Goes fast, but is a good person. And honestly cares about how this class effects your future.
very tough class, but she does a good job at helping her students to understand and do well. she is very smart and knows what she is talking about.
excellent, funny teacher...i recommend this class to anyone
Good sense of humor, moves quickly, knows her stuff, good teacher!
Amazing! I only use the book for reference because she explains everything so thoroughly in class. Her exams are difficult but extremely fair!
This is an extremely hard class. She goes way to fast and doesn't care at all about her students. Her exams are 10-12 pages long and I'm sure she laughs as she grades them. Avoid this 5 foot devil if you can!!!!!!!!
Freschl is a great instructor. She's tough, but if you attend class and studying your notes, you will do fine.Do her practice problem sets she gives, this helps the most. She seriously is the best chem instructor I've had at UWM.The organic section on the PCAT was a breeze because of her.
Although it is a hard class, Mrs. Freschl actually kept my attention and sucessfully explained chemistry to me in a way that I could acutally understand. To pass this class, you simply need to put in some good old-fashioned hard work!
She is the best professor ever! she realizes that it is an introductory course and that is how she treats it, you dont have to memorize useless extraneous information, and she is really understanding and has a great sense of humor. She does talk and write pretty fast, but she gives you all the old exams and a good review sheet
I would strongly advise her class. She is very helpful and understands that we are not biochemistry majors. Her exams are kind of tough, but she gives extra credit and gives extra points if your answer isn't completely correct. She is enthusiastic and very helpful. She has the student's passing the course in mind. She teaches you what you need.
Freschl is a great instructor. But its a very hard course.Every class is new material and quiz every week.UWM should make it not 3 credit but at least 4 credit course, because there is too much material cramed in too little time. I think that is the main reason why so many people do badly in that class.Fresch is very helpful and very nice.
she's awesome!
Mrs. Freschl is the best professor I've had between Marquette and UWM. She has a way of making students understand the material, why it is important to learn and keeps it light at the same time. Her tests although hard are very fair as she offers extra credit. I haven't opened the book once...don't waste your money. She's great!
Great
BEST TEACHER EVER!
easy class
she explains material very clear, but goes a little fast some times. Her exams are long but she gives A TON of extra credit on them. Her exams are a little tough along with the weekly quizzes, but again this is chem 100 (which was a review of my high school chem) overall i really enjoyed her lecture and class :)
She is kind of fast paced but she's easy to understand. She is kind of a stickler and her exams are long but she gives a lot of extra credit on them. She gives you last semesters exams and the answers to study from. Use those!
Excellent instructor! Expectations are very high, but very clear and very attainable. Has had the same head TA for years, get into Pat Nylen's lab and discussion if you can! Don't bother buying the textbook, just buy the lab manual.
She is super awesome, the concepts she explained I still remember all of them, those concepts really helped me in Chemistry 105..........
GREAT teacher. I would highly recommend her to anybody needing to take chem 100. She is very clear in her lectures and she's very helpful. Don't count on being able to miss lecture and still passing. Her lectures are packed with information and she gives a quiz every friday. ALSO. she doesn't quiz or test on anything she doesn't cover in class.
She's like a grandma from the Bronx. She's funny, smart, and stern. Don't bother talking/bringing your phone to/in her class..she'll either bust you out or you'll miss a lot of information. (not saying I did, but it's hilarious when it happens!)She's a great teacher, definitely loves her job. Take her if you can!!
Ms. Freschl is by far the best teacher I've ever had! One of the easiest classes to sit through because she makes the lecture very interesting and also cracks jokes. I love that she didn't use power point, but wrote out her notes with the class. I highly recommend her for any chem class. I can't wait to have her for 103 this semester!
Awesome Awesome teacher. Especially for chem 100. She makes things easy to understand and actually TEACHES you the logistics of it rather than just something to memorize. Id recommend her to anyone!
Mrs. Freschl teaches conceptually, which helps you understand the material better. If you do the problem sets before the weekly quizzes, you're good to go. Monthly exams: do the previous years exams and you'll be fine. Show up to class, EVERY lecture. If you miss one class, you'll be lost. If you have to take Chem 100, take Mrs. Freschl!!!
Awesome teacher. Very understanding and knows we are nursing majors so she doesn't expect us to go that in depth.
I took Freschl for Chem 100, 101, and 103. She's tough and expects you to know the material, which reflects in her lengthy exams and weekly quizzes... however, she's extremely helpful. I've never had a professor with quite the charisma and clarity that she presents. Highly recommend taking Freschl for any class you can, she's a blast.
She will make you work your butt off, but she actually explains things well and will go through harder problems so you can see how to do them. She's also really funny.
Her T. A. and Lab instructor are helpful. However, do not get sick during her class NO MAKE UP EXAM even with doctor note. Only bring direct question to her office hour, and she still may refer you to Your T.A. for extra help.
Had her for Chem 101 and 103, she is such a great teacher! Do NOT miss classes because she covers A LOT in the lectures. She gives you all materials you need (problem sets, study sheets, flash cards)to succeed in the class so don't buy the textbook. She keeps class interesting with fun facts and by cracking jokes. I recommend taking her classes!
Amazing teacher. Makes everything super easy to understand. If she taught all the chemistry classes, we would all get A's. I will be sure to take her again and again in the future if I can!
Freschl is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. She explains things very well and expects you to do a lot of studying with the weekly quizzes. BUT this will only help you prepare for the exams that you are likely to ACE if you go to all lectures and pay attention. Also she throws some good jokes in once in awhile to keep it fun!
Freshl is a great teacher. She always emphasizes the logic, which is important. Take her classes as often as you can. You'll really learn.
She is a wonderful teacher. I'm taking courses with other professors now, and they do not compare to her teaching skill. She is incredibly clear and systematic with her lessons. Her exams are challenging, but you learn a lot. She moves at a fast pace, but That is to be expected for the amount of material. I wish she taught more classes here!
Best chemistry teacher you could hope for. If you can't pass her class, nay, if you can't do exceptionally well in her class, perhaps you should consider a different path.
Ms. Freschl is one of the best teachers I've had in any subject. She moves quickly and expects a lot of you on the exams but she does everything in the world to make sure you're ready for it. I would gladly take her again!
Freschl keeps Chemistry interesting, and does a great job teaching a relatively dull subject. She gives plenty of opportunity for assistance and is very blunt with telling students how to succeed. If you can't succeed in her class, you're definitely doing something wrong.
Mrs. Freschel was the best chemistry professor I ever had. She keeps lectures interesting, which is hard to do in Chemistry. She is straight forward and offers a lot of help. Her tests are difficult but she does an amazing job at preparing you for them...no tricks or something you didn't discuss in lecture. Best professor I have ever had.
Best teacher I have ever had, even outside of chemistry. She makes chemistry interesting, easy and fun. Don't buy the book, you will never need it. Don't miss lectures, all exams and quizzes are based on her lectures. Exams are tough but she prepares you well for them. Do the practice exams, they are very similar to the exams you will be taking.
Best teacher I've had. Explains things in an understandable manner. You can tell she is very knowledgable in the subject. She teaches students the material in a comprehensive way, so that you learn it rather than memorize it.
She moves very quickly through topics, so if you don't already have a good understanding of the material, you can't miss any class. She is absolutely no help at all on a one on one level if you do seek her out for help with the subject.
She is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had! Her weekly quizzes are a little much, but they do help prepare you for the exam. She includes jokes in her lectures and relates chemistry to real life which makes it so much better! She does a great job of teaching the material in class! If you go to class, you'll be fine on the exam!
Hard, trick questions
She was a very good teacher and related chemistry to real life and the medical field-which made the class interesting. I never had to use the book because her lectures covered all the material on the quizzes and exams.
Her quizes and tests are hard, but if you attend the lecture and study you'll do fine and she does curve them which helps. The text book was a complete waste of money, never opened it once and she doesn't refer to it at all the entire semester.
She's definitely a trickster and the exams are very lengthy. However, if you work hard, attend lecture, and do the problem sets you'll do fine. The quizzes are dense but they barely count for anything, and are really help when studying for exams. She's definitely one of the best teachers I've had at UWM. If you're going to be lazy don't take her.
I REALLY liked her class! It was entertaining and she is pretty funny during lecture. The quizzes are 50 questions and they are pretty hard, I think I managed one A, but they prep you for the exam. If you attend class, do the problem sets and practice exams you'll get an A. She sets you up on how to succeed in her class! Relates info to real life.
Absolutely the worst teacher I have ever had. Her quizzes and exams are nearly impossible, no matter how hard you study. She lies to you and puts material she previously stated was "not going to be on the exam" on the tests, and every question is a trick. She is also extremely rude outside of class. Just awful.
After finishing the General Chem sequence (100-102-104) (and receiving an A in each class) I must say Freschl is the best teacher I had. She lays a very strong foundation for future Chem courses. Provides many practice problems and works them out. Wonderful professor, you should feel more confident in succeeding in 102 if you take 100 with her.
She is horrible! Quizzes are crazy long. Gives out too much work when it's not even necessary. During lecture, she writes with the most deadest marker and writes super sloppy and goes really fast. Bless the people in the back lol Doesn't reply back to emails when asking for help on upcoming quizzes. Puts things you don't even learn on the quizzes.
She's always there to help, but you have to ask for it. She won't find you (obviously). Her tests are tough but if you do the problem sets (which are optional so idk what a previous person was talking about homework) and understand the practice exams you'll be fine. Weekly quizzes are lengthy but they only count for a small percent of your grade.
Professor Freschl gives out a list at the beginning of the year on how to succeed in her class. It is of benefit to read this carefully. I would also suggest going through the problem sets multiple times before the weekly quiz. She gives more than enough preparation materials for anyone to succeed if they put in an effort.
Professor Freschl is by far my favorite Professor. She teaches in way where everyone can understand chemistry. She does a very good job handing out problems sets which i highly recommend you stay on top of. Her exams are what you would expect, she does however add some problems which cause you to think more. Don't skip lecture or you will be behind
On her syllabus she lists many ways to get help with the class along with problems from the book relating to the material she covers. The weekly quizzes help you realize what material you know and don't. She even puts last year's exams online to help you study. So many resources if you take the initiative. Don't skip the lectures; she covers a lot!
You have to go to lecture and do your homework or you definitely will have a tough time. Freschl will go the extra mile to be accommodating though. Good professor but you have to do some work if you want to get a good grade!
Weekly quizzes are long. She also likes to give you every trick and exception on the topic. The exams are roughly 12 pages long and then she comes into lecture following the exam and states that it was a "little too much." She teaches the topics well but her exams are overwhelming and make up all by 20% of your grade.
Worst teacher I have had at UWM. Very hard grader. Tests and quizzes are ridiculously long and hard. She puts anything and everything she can think of on the tests. Runs through lecture very fast while scribbling on the board and expects you to get it the first time. No power points. Lab is easy, but she needs to find a better way of teaching.
In two words, run now! I've been very disappointed with uwm's science department. I went to every lecture for this class and put in a lot of work and still got a D. At the final I found out almost everyone sitting around me was in the same boat. Good luck. I'd take this at a technical college. (I got an A in Chem 100) oh and DONT BUY the book.
Her quizzes and exams are hard but if you study enough, you should be able to pass. She was willing to accommodate to when I had to take my exams on another day or time. She was helpful and emails back quickly. Go over the old exams and do the work and you will most likely pass. If you're trying to pass by just winging it, then you wont pass.
Only major fault is that no lecture notes are posted on D2l. If you miss a lecture you better have a way to get the notes. She is very clear in her expectations and provides help whenever possible. Very, very good teacher.
awesome professor
She is my favorite professor I have had. She hates memorization of material when it is not necessary. She breaks things down into a logical fashion, so if your memory fails, you can still figure out a problem. She teaches in a clear, precise, and articulated manner. Keeps lectures interesting, and gives clear details on what will be on the tests.
I've enjoyed class with Professor Freschl, although this class is no joke. You have to attend lecture because she doesn't post notes online. Her quizzes and tests are long and hard but she definitely prepares you for them. Weekly assignments and quizzes. She is very passionate about the subject which makes her lectures more interesting.
Go to lecture, take notes, and study the tests from the previous semester. The class isn't hard, it just takes time and dedication. TAKE IT WITH FRESCHL IF YOU WANT TO UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. She is always willing to help and wants you to do well. Everything for the course, including the grading scale, is done in your favor. She is on your side.
Professor Freschl is awesome. I hated chemistry with a passion and passed her class. She gives out a packet per week and I advised those who take her class to do them and study for the exams. They are super helpful! That was how I passed her class because of her packets!
Freschl has been the most helpful professor I have ever had. Her chemistry class is one of the few I not only learned but retained information in. She is extremely clear about the material and for someone that was always awful at chemistry, I passed with an A. Greatly recommended especially for beginners.
Freschl is probably my favorite chemistry professor so far. She goes through a lot of examples during and the problem sets are really useful as study guides for exams. Towards the end it gets a little difficult because of intro to organic but if you study your notes you'll be fine
Freschl is an awesome professor! I struggled with chemistry before, especially in Chem101, but understand it much better. She gives a lot of examples during lecture and explains things clearly. The tests are long and a little tough, but if you study and ask for help when needed you should be good. There is also extra credit on the tests.
Hard courses but awesome professor! Would definitely recommend her if you have to take chemistry
Tough class. Great teacher. DO NOT MISS CLASS and don't fall behind. Ask for help and you will be fine.
Freschl makes chemistry make sense, so if it has been a while seen you have taken chemistry she is your saving grace. By the end of the semester you will be prepared to move onto 103 or 102. She has the ability to explain concepts in a way that you can actually comprehend them. Love her.
She was the most helpful chemistry teacher I have ever had. Attending lecture isn't mandatory, but I would highly recommend it. There aren't many tests (3 mandatory, 1 optional, and 1 final) and the tests are long and hard. She is a very helpful professor tho and explains concepts very well.
She is probably one of my favorite teachers! She is super nice and is very good at presenting her materials at each lecture. My advice is to go to every lecture and do the problem sets and past exams that she posts on d2l. She offers you everything to get an A in the course. Lab is super easy, just finish your post lab in class and you get an A.
Professor Freschl is awesome. She's easy to listen to and describes topics in an easy way to understand. Highly recommended.
Love Freschl! She made me love chemistry again. If you do her packets like she told you, you will definitely pass. That was how I pass both of her classes 101 and 103 with both B's. Even my friend who hate chem passed to so it is not impossible with her.
Freschl is funny and gives help when needed. She doesn't use powerpoints. Instead, she teaches by writing on the board and you taking notes. She gives out practice problems for you to do for homework. It's not graded, but if you do it, you'll learn better! Make sure to review her previous exams on D2l because she tends to reuse questions on exams.
Simply the best. She gives you every resource you need to be successful, all you need to do is put in the time. Attendance isn't recorded, but you will not learn a thing if you skip so it is pretty mandatory. Do whatever you can to get Freschl as a professor!
Overall I loved this professor! The material is very heavy and touch but she is approachable and so are the CSI instructors. If you put in the time and studying you should do okay. Don't wait until the last minute like me to study or seek help. Go to EVERY lecture if you can because her notes are the quizzes for each week.
Dr. Freschl is hands down one of the best professors at UW Milwaukee. She gives you every single thing you could ever need to be successful in this class. Attend every single lecture, go to the discussion section, and be prepared to study a lot. This class is super useful and extremely interesting. Use all the problem sets and notecards!
Go to lectures, utilize your discussion hours to prepare for upcoming quizzes, and go to SI. Lab is easy if you have the right TA. You need to need to put in effort, but you'll see the results. And Freschl is hilarious, don't read the bad reviews. They most likely didn't try and failed.
She is an amazing professor. She is very clear on the subjects we need to know for quizzes and exams. I struggled with chem prior to her class, but she makes it easy to understand and follow. 10/10 would recommend.
If Freschl taught every class, my life would be complete. She teaches fast and heavy, but her expectations are clear and her exams are fair, there are no surprises in this class. It's important to come to lecture to get the information, and if you come to lecture and pay active attention, quizzes and exams aren't hard. She makes the subject awesome
Chemistry was probably my least favorite subject but now I think it is my favorite subject because of her. She sets you up for an A. Just show up to class, do the problem sets and study and you will get an A. She is the best!
Prof Freschl is a tough teacher. She is also very caring and gives lots of opportunities to learn the material except you have to really work for a good grade. Her quizzes and exams are awful. This course requires a lot of time and work. She gives you the previous exams which are very similar to the current ones so if you study those you'll do fine
Fantastic prof
Loved her!
She is such an amazing professor... understands the difficulty of content and goes at a perfect pace.
Best Professor I've ever had! If she could teach everything I wouldn't miss a class, and probably get all A's. She's old school and writes notes on the whiteboards (so SHOW UP), but she genuinely cares about her students, not only their grade but their wellbeing. I've even gone to her for help with other subjects! I honestly have nothing bad to say
on the syllabus, there is a textbook we must order, but I barely use it. She was easy to understand. If you study everything she went through in the lectures, then you will do good on the exams and quizzes.
This professor used to be one of my favorites when class was in person. Now, with an unlimited amount of time to assign work, she assigned over ten hours of work weekly. Class is unmotivating, the transition she made into online class is unfortunate.
I took professor Freschl during COVID times and learning CHEM online is not an easy A. She is very lecture heavy and has lots of videos about 8-12 minutes a piece. She seems very upbeat in her videos, but the material is sometimes not easy to understand since you cannot ask question. She gives weekly quizzes that are long and usually take 2.5 hours
She is an overall a great professor. Mrs. Freschl really wants to make sure you learn and learn well. However, her quizzes and exams are stupid long. There is no limit to the amount of questions she will ask. For example, we had a quiz that was 157 questions long.
Super hard professor if you're in prenursing. But one of the best if imma be honest. Gives you all the material you need, just a matter of you taking time out of class to review what happened in class, and studying all the packets she gives. But she's totally cool if you ever attend her office hours. Put in the effort, she'll be cool with you.
I'm sure there is a difference between her in-person and online class format, but I would highly suggest taking it in person when the school opens back up if you have the time. The online format is an absolute mess. The videos are so long, and I don't consider them to be inclusive enough to do well on the quizzes. Prepare to put a TON of time in.
DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE!!! Let me start off by saying she is a very good teacher and she seems like she knows what she is talking about , but she assigns way to much work. For one week she assigned about 17 10-15 minute videos to watch and on top of that a 100 question quiz every week. Class was very unmotivating, gonna retake the class in person.
This class is horrible. Online is horrible with her. She will assign weekly quizzes usually at least 50+ problems but has reached 120+ one week. Her strategy is very flawed in that she tries to just through so much information at you that you have to absorb some of it. You might as well just be looking online. Overall, just go to MATC for Chem.
I am a nursing student and had Professor Freschl for both Chem 101 & 103. She has been my favorite Professor for both semesters of chemistry I had with her! My number one recommendation if you are taking one of her classes online is to NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE to start the lecture videos. There are a lot, and the quizzes are long!
I took chem 103 with her during the 2021 spring semester. FYI lecture is heavy and the material is hard. You need to absolutely study for her class and the quizzes and exams are very long. At least 100 questions in each. The professor is amazing she has so much office hours and is willing to meet up with students anytime and explains things more.
Very little engagement as everything is video recorded beforehand, never really interacted with her. And her quizzes are full of trick questions. However, depending on the TA you get for lab, theres a chance you might be able to turn in every single lab late at the end of the semester and still get full credit for every single one.
Her quizzes are over 100 questions and are due every weekend. She will admit she didn't teach you stuff that was put on the tests but won't give points back/teach it. There have also been multiple times where the correct answer hasn't even been an option for quizzes/tests. You're better off teaching yourself.
Freschl is by far the best professor here at UWM. Yes, Chem 103 is hard... it's chemistry, but this professor gives her students plenty of resources to pass with flying colors. Plus, she's nice and funny. She keeps you entertained!
that iconic walk down the stairs! she's funny bless her soul. The quizzes are weekly and they are super long, but they really do prepare you for the exams. She is approachable.
Chem 103 is honestly one of the hardest classes Ive ever taken, but doable if you put in a lot of time. Be prepared to study a lot for the exams, theyre very long and content heavy. The quizzes usually are over 110 questions long which seems like a lot, but they help you prepare for the exams because theyre just as long, if not longer.
Prof. Freschl is one of my favorite professors of all time! Her class is quite challenging but she teaches it very well and genuinely wants her students to succeed. I greatly respect Freschl and wish that she taught more classes geared towards nursing majors. If you show up and actively participate in lectures it will help with studying for exams.
Freschl is one of the best chemistry professors I had ever had, not only is she very passionate about chemistry (which is evident from each of her lecture), but she is passionate about her students succeeding in this difficult class! She goes out of her way to explain material, and prints, and provides endless resources for students to succeed!
I really loved her this semester. Going over her lecture notes on top of attending lecture is the way to go to pass exams with high grades. Also take advantage of the practice exams she gives you. Overall she's a great professor who is funny and good at teaching. She'll answer your questions and makes sense unlike some professors. She's also funny.
Hands down one of the best professors I have had so far. She wants everyone to succeed and has office hours if you are struggling, and she is very friendly and approachable if you have questions. She is hilarious and the lecture is never boring. Weekly quizzes are the hardest part of the course, you have to power through them. 10/10 recommend her.
I have always struggled in Chemistry but she really knows how to teach this material in a way you understand it! Her whole class is set up for you to succeed and I have made sure that I'm in her Chemistry 103 course now as well!
I took her class last semester and loved her, this semester is the same! She is super helpful and understanding towards difficulties in every day life, she wants you to succeed and thats how her course is set up! Her lectures are super interesting as she makes you laugh and tells many fun facts while making sure to explain the material.
Dr Freschl is easily the best professor I've ever had. Makes learning chemistry fun and explains it in a way that everyone can understand. Attendance is not mandatory but I still recommend going because she prioritizes preparing you for exams and quizzes. Would definitely encourage other nursing majors to take her chem lectures!! Love her.
She teaches in a fun way, but may be hard to follow before you get to know her style. You must try in the class in order to do well also!
Gloria is overall a great professor who really cares about the subject and tries her best in lectures to teach. Her writing on the board can sometimes be hard to read which can be a problem. Many quizzes will have stuff you never learned or tricks, which she admits too, but feels unfair to us. Quizzes will have 80-140 questions WEEKLY. Study hard!
Great professor. Her instruction methods are clear and direct. She guides you on how to do well in her class. The only way you won't do well in her class is if you don't study the enough. She also has previous exams, lecture videos and notes posted on canvas which is helpful for studying.
Her teaching methods are clear and direct. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you skip more than 2 lectures you will most likely end up confused. The course is difficult, but she provides previous exams, old lecture videos, and her lectures notes. The only way you won't do well is if you don't study and attempt understanding the material enough.
Great professor, knowledgeable in the subject, and available outside of class. Has several resources for students to be successful in her course, and curves exams depending on the average. Attendance isn't required, but if you miss lectures you will be confused. Textbook required, didn't use it unless I needed a better understanding of a topic.
As long as you show up to class you have nothing to worry about regarding the content in class. As for Gloria as a professor, they are very careless regarding their students, and has stated to me through email that there are services that she only gives students with As in her class and nobody else. Never had this experience with another professor
Professor Gloria is engaging and wants students to succeed. The course is challenging, but she provides great resources like past exams and lecture videos. Attendance is mandatory, but worth it to understand the material. unstuck study was a game-changer for my study prep.
I loved attending Gloria's classes. She's a sweet, kind and hilarious professor who knew how to make intense content enjoyable. She is always available in her office if you need help. The quizzes are long, but are a great overview of what can be expected on the exams. I also loved the study guides she provided us with.
My god this was the hardest course I've taken in my life. Quizzes that are 100+ questions are due every weekend and there's 4 exams and a cumulative final exam. Lectures are so rushed and she won't cover material that WILL show up on tests. It helped to study organic & biochem concepts before the class even started & watch her canvas videos
Probably the best professor I have had here at UWM so far. makes not just coming to lecture fun but easy to actively listen to as well. Very grateful to have her as my professor!
Probably the best professor I have had here at UWM. She makes not only coming to lectures enjoyable but also actively listening as well. I am grateful to have her as my professor!
Great professor, engaging in class, covers all testing material in class. Sometimes she can move fast and the weekly quizzes are really long, 100+ questions sometimes but they're always harder than the exams so if you can do the quizzes, you will pass the exams which are worth 45% of the course grade.
nothing to add
honestly, i loved her. shes super funny, but i think she needs to invest in a microphone, because I couldn't hear here during lecture. because of that, i never went and watched her lecture videos instead. they're from covid but its the same material and its SO helpful. also, show up to discussion and lab, more than 2 misses in lab and you fail.
She is a great professor. However, those exams actually almost threw me over the edge; they were 14-15 pages each with multiple choice questions designed to trip you up/second second-guess yourself. Weekly quizzes that were sometimes 100+ questions. I will say she equips you with everything you need to do well, but it was just like come on.
I'll say she is a great professor. However, she has no microphone for a big lecture hall, so it's impossible to hear her. The exams almost threw me over the edge; they were 14-15 pages with multiple choice questions designed to trip you up/second second guess yourself. I will say she gives you all the material to do well, but like come on girl.
I love this professor as a person, but her expectations are very very high. Quizzes and exams are 100+ questions and I feel as if the material she teaches aren't on the exams.I found myself struggling to study for exams because she provides no study material. She also locks your grade so you can't see it, so you just have to pray for the best.
If you want to rethink your entire career path as well as lose all ounces of happiness take this class with her!!! She is so beyond awful her notes are written so sloppy, her quizzes are weekly 100+ questions worth basically nothing, and her exams are basically your entire grade and IMPOSSIBLE.
Super tries hard to help you understand the concept rather than memorizing things, and she always uses real world examples. The weekly quizzes are super long but very useful, and the previous semester's exams are on canvas so you can practice before the exam, they're basically identical!! There are many resources available.
