Easy A if you show up for class, and study 1-2 hours a week for quizes.
fairly boring, but easy, and classes are really short for the amount of credit
Easy class, very very boring, get kept there the whole 3 hours
Dumb class.
Seemed hard at first, but Its very easy. I like this class. GO ENVIRONMENT!!!!!
Has a strict attendance policy which sux but she livens it up a little!
Good class but to much information to absorb in the 3 hours. I lose interest
Good teacher and presents a lot of valuable information. She can be boring
Really nice. Tries to make the 3 hours go fast..use study guides and go to class
boring as sin, sometimes sounds like she is going to die midsentence...
Easy as sin, just go there.
Very helpful. Use study guides and go to class and you'll get an A.
Use study guides, study man, and just show up. Nice and tries to keep interestn

Nice Prof!
very easy teacher...study the notes she prints out for you and your set

Nice lady...not a great class. Needs confidence.
Refers to humans as “supposedly” the smartest animals. Sighs dramatically after every crappy video.

WIERDO!!!!! Take Bob Brady for Geo classes, or David Meyer!!!
Was one of my favorite classes cause it was so easy. Just sit by cool people and you're set for the semester. Show up...sign in...get your notes that she prints for u...and leave...EASY A
Shes boring, but its pretty direct material. She has a good way of note taking, and willing to help if needed. I took ESC105 because she was teaching it.
Very nice lady, prints off all the notes for you, just read along in the book, study maps and you're set. Very easy
Nice lady, but do not take the 3 hour class, is too long. Gives you all the notes you need. Study the maps and you will do great!
If I had the outlook that this lady has, I would just shoot myself in the head and get it over with. What a ****. I would for go degree completion rather than take her again:(
Amen to the fine poet who came before me. Why does this lady bother to wake up every morning? I don't think I have ever seen her smile once. I understand she has health issues but damn... The notes she prints out are nice, but that's about it!
Prints off the notes which is great... go to class to get the credit, lets you drop an exam, most drop the final
Very nice and helpful, prints out notes for us at the beginning of the chapter, tests are all multiple choice.. just do not skip. you have labs to do. :)
She sin't too bad I am just not interested in the stuff.
i'm in the 3 hour tuesday night class it's long and tough to sit through bring stuff from another class to study, a magazine, a paper, or just anything... the movies are boring
Interesting subjects and very easy but she talked so monotonely.
I found this class to be very easy. She prints the notes off for you, so all you have to do is follow along with her during class. There are also some easy map tests. As long as you review the notes and study guide before a test you should do fine.
Great Prof!! Take her if you can, very helpful. lets you turn work in late
Very helpful, espcially with makeup work. Sit in front and she will know you're name and will always try to help you. Prints off all notes, exams are all mutiple choice & t/f. No final exam anymore!
Very easy class. Study the notes that she gives you and you'll pass all the tests. Class is very very boring, but Dr. Siers is a very nice lady so it all balances out in the end; and plus there is no final!!!(if you are happy with your current grade).
I hate geography but I loved this class! Read, take notes, and study the maps and it's an easy A. It was also very informative environmentally and most of the movies were interesting. Great instructor even if she seems a bit standoffish...she's not.
She is the most boring, least caring, worst professor I have ever had. Good luck staying awake because she talks so mono tone it's unbelievable. Her tests are hard and there is soooo much material on each one. She doesn't take time to explain anything.
Easy class! Just go and look over the notes. Didn't use my book once and did well. Map test are simple. Newspaper project is a joke. I got a 99% and I saw the worst project ever and they got a 92% and it was hand-written and HORRIBLE! Take her class!
VERY BORING...Don't take the 3 hour class you won't be able to handle her monotone voice for that long. This lady is BORING!!! WOW
She is a very nice old lady, but she is very boring to listen to for two hours. Monotone voice doesn't help. Subject is easy to understand. Good lab U.P. to take.
Have had her for other classes. Very nice, passionate about the subject, very clear - good study guides, Helpful and knows so much!!!!
Not the easiest class in the world. But she's helpful and reasonable. Great for the lab UP.
Very nice woman, has classes are planned out well (even if they're boring), if you miss a test or a quiz or anything, she'll let you make it up. Takes attendance, which sucks, because you could do fine not going.
Nice woman, very boring, hard to stay awake. It is a very easy class though, just attend classes and know the study guides.
puts you to sleep
Absolutely the most helpful professor I've ever had. Clear, concise, cares about her students and is extremely fair. Would recommend as a prime example of what a college professor should be.
Very good prof. Will take more classes from her just because she teaches them!
can be boring at times, but overall good prof and good class. isn't too hard of a class either
oh my gosh this class is boring! three hours at once is too much. she give extremely hard map quizzes and i hate the term paper! if you don't go or don't read you will be lost forever. her lectures will just run right through your head.
Very helpful during office hours. Too much information covered in the class, just not that interested in rocks and things. The class is not that bad if you study.
Very easy class. She gives you her notes. Be sure to study for the tests and you'll do fine.
This class is incredibly BORING. She is somewhat a good prof. but does not keep you intrested in any material. Also you take a test about every 3 class sessions...so take that as you will.
worst teacher/class ever
Boring, boring, boring. The only thing worse than her boring lectures are her tree hugging rants about global warming. about 10 tests total in the class. Easy, but tiresome. Sometimes I just want to choke her.
If you do not do well in this class, it is either due to laziness or pure stupidity. She gives you the notes and you just need to study and know those for the tests. She is nice, helpful and explains the concepts well. There are about 6 tests but they're all m/c and T/F. Labs are easy too.
very good, strange at times, you learn alot, lots of extra credit opportunities
if you are an eco-friendly type of person and enjoy watching educational programming, you will love this class. she also has a subtle sense of humor that is pretty endearing.
Well, very long winded and very environmentally friendly. Can get old because everything we do in the united states is bad bad bad. But the class has very many opportunities for points, and lots of extra credit. Do your work and look over notes that she gives you and you better pass! Easy!
you have to be interested in the subject, go to class! read over the notes before each test and you'll do fine
I thought this class was pretty easy. She gives you all the notes and the test is just off of them. There are lots of tests, but they are not that bad. She is a very nice lady and will help you if you need it.
She may talk a little monotone but she has plenty of visuals and stories to keep your attention.Heed the advice of starting your term progject right off the bat! This teacher had relavant information and gives you typed notes. I am taking another one of her classes if I can.
Good class! Nice lady!
well...i get very bored in this class b/c i am not interested in it at all. she gives u the notes and she is helpful if u have a problem. going to class is a good thing and studying for the tests is important. labs are pretty easy as well. not a big fan of the class though
verry easy. Just go to class, she give you the notes. Drops lowest test score. Alot of test (which is a good thing because you dont have to remember as much) No cumulative final exam.
Very, Very easy teacher. Get credit for going to class, take the simple tests, and turn in an easy project at the end. And you have an A.
BORING CLASS!! But it is the easiest class I have had so far while here. Just show up and do the work. she gets VERY upset if you start getting ready too early, NEVER have gotten out early.
She is very flexible with missed exams and quizes. If you show her that you care about your grade and are open-minded to this class she bends over backwards to ensure you do your best. She made it interesting with visuals. if you have to take this class make sure you get her!!!
This class had a lot of tests but she gives you a study guide and the questions are pretty much right from that. The labs were kinda hard but she gives extra credit so it is ok. Overall, this class was ok.
only thing that is remotely difficult is the map tests and those are still fairly easy
BORING!
Easy class if you show up and pretend to pay attention. Tests are easy, minimal studying. Do the extra credit, it helps...
She is very good at what she does, even if it a little annoying when she gets mad when we want to leave early. She is very helpful and clear.
She's a nice lady. Lot's of tests. Study guides are helpful. Boring because it's all lecture.
Class is a snoozer and expect to stay the ENTIRE time every time. She gives you the notes, quizzes are online untimed and there are only 3 unit tests. Map quizzes can be a little tricky. Show up, study the day b4 the exams and it's an EZ A.
Pretty easy class. Map quizzes are pretty easy. Give online open book quizzes but you can only take them once. You have to stay until the end of the hour each time, but it's worth it. She shows a lot of movies and counts attendance. Class isn't too hard, but do the extra credit.
She seems like a very nice lady but she is just so boring in lecture. Her tests are kind of hard but she offers a little extra credit. Map tests are easy as long as you study a little bit for them. Over all it's a pretty easy class but really hard to pay attention because leture is so boring!
Not a good professor. She finds a way to get off topic for everything. The class is pretty much hearing about politics from a tree-hugger.
kind of dumb but easy
Class is a breeze. Tests come str8 from notes she prints off for you and from movies. Map quizzes are easy if you do a little studying. REPUBLICANS BEWARE! You will NOT like this prof or the content in this course so just keep ur stupid mouths shut and suck it up, she doesn't like participation anyway.
I have passed her class tough maybe I got the lowest points in exams! If you feel you will fail the class, take some outside classes to get ex-points. you can pass her class because actually I did.
Mind-numbing lectures. Class was almost two hours, thankfully she only spoke for 60-70 minutes. She is a nice lady and encourages questions if you are having trouble. Tests are somewhat hard, but if you study and do all the labs that are assigned in class, you shouldn't have a problem getting a B with Prof. Siers.
i thought the class was pretty easy... lectures were VERY boring... and she gives you the notes for the units. map tests are easy if you got a good memory. Overall, easy just boring... it is geography tho!
Her class is easy as long as you keep up. She's very helpful and will do everything in her power to make sure you do well. Her classes can be long & actually put you to sleep, I recommend drinking some Mountain Dew before you get in there.
She gives you a lot of things to do outside of class. The material is kind of boring. If you are an environmentalist then you will love the class. Use the map quizzes at ilike2learn.com to study for the map tests in class.
It was pretty hard, her exams are over 100 questions but she gives u handed out notes. And she is very nice and helpful. Go to class, do the work, read the book and go over the notes she gives you. Prepare for your tests and you will be fine
I really enjoyed this class. Not only did she show her passion for the topic, but she tried to get us to understand the error of our ways and the issues that plague us. Don't go into it and think "OMG geography lol how stupid". She raises a lot of good points. Scary, but good points about society and the state of the world. Its an easy A! STUDY
Oh Gloria...she is a nice lady but her class was boring. Attendance is mandatory. Map tests were easy as long as you studied for them. Her term project and test were easy to. Pretty simple, do the work and you'll get the grade.
Really boring.. Put me to sleep many times. Exams are pretty easy, 25 percent of each exam is take home. Nice lady, and helpful, just kind of monotone and boring. I'd suggest taking her.. perhaps in the afternoon not early morning haha
She hands out a copy of her notes and lecture. this is a very good thing. As long as you study that for the test, you should do fine. DONT put of the term project!!! Start that**** early.
Alright, she is a very nice lady. However, she is very monotone and is stationary behind the desk with a microphone for the ENTIRE class period. She is very helpful and responds to emails rather quickly and you do get the notes. Book was useless..don't buy it. Copy pages from someone if you need to, save some money. Class is BORING...
She hands out the lecture notes which is really helpful if you study them. Make sure you learn the maps when you get them... The classes can be a bit boring, but she has many interesting personal experiences...just be patient with the class and bring something to entertain your hands if you don't want to write down the notes you're already given...
this is an average class, but kinda hard for a UP. she gives out the notes, which is good, and if you actually listen to her its not that bad, but its hard to listen to an hour to an hour & a half lecture, but the good thing is that there is a take home part of every exam (theres 6 btw) & you can print out a study guide and drop 1 exam or the final
A very nice lady, though she may look mean at first. She is very knowledgeable and interested in the subject, but can be boring at times. Takes attendance everyday.
This class requires you to study hard for her exams. If you study, they're usually not too difficult. The labs suck, and many of them are hard. She drops the lowest test grade though. She knows her material though. It's kind of a paint trying to find an article every week, but make sure you do it. it really can bring up your grade!
She is very nice. For a geography class, she kept it very interesting and you learn a lot of interesting stuff. Never gives homework. Just study for the map tests and they won't be bad. The 4 exams aren't bad either. I did the term project the weekend before it was due, used all Internet sources, and still got an 86. Take her if you can!!!
I was planning to be a geography minor, but after this class i changed my mind. It doesnt have much to do with geography but more about her personal conservation interests. There is one big term project which carries throughout the semester and if you dont do it well it will seriously drop your grade.. tests are hard, try to get some extra credit
It's really a pointless class and a waste of money. The lectures have nearly nothing to do with the tests/exams, and attendance in mandatory. She's a really nice professor and willing to help if you need it, but I feel I haven't learned anything I already knew with this class. I literally haven't studied for any tests and am holding a solid grade.
People who say this class is hard SHOULD NOT be in college, because this is one of the easiest classes I've ever had. If you paid attention in high school to science and geography, you'll pass with at least a B, with little effort. Her lectures are pointless but if you read the online notes/mini lectures, you'll easily dominate in this class.
She is a super nice teacher. The class is basically a Environmental Science class. It is interesting stuff and the class isnt too hard. with a little bit of studying you can get an A easy. Througout the course you have to collect news articles to make a project at the end which is worht alot of your grade but its easy if you dont hold it off.
I was a little leary of this class at first. I take the AP course the year before, but the college wouldn't accept the credit. I kept waiting for the call that they would, but it never came. So I missed the term project. She gave me an extension and was really nice about it. The only problem was her politics - pushy to those that don't agree.
I wouldn't reccomend this class. I regret taking it. People told me to take it because it's easy. And for the most part, it is. But the tests are 100 questions that are all specific percentages and things that are impossible to study. And the lectures are the biggest waste of time, but you only get 2 free absences and then your grade goes down.
This was a really easy class. As long as you paid attention in class, you could pass the test. I never even studied for the tests, I just paid attention in class. She can be a little boring at times, so make sure you pay attention, but she's a really nice professor and she offers a lot of opportunity for bonus points.
Oh my gosh. Okay fine, it was easy. You just had to sit there and then study for the tests. But it was the most useless, boring class in the entire world. I fell asleep every day. She just sits in her chair and decides to start class 10 minutes before and then takes us to the last second. If you want to waste your life, take it, but its not worth i
Dont listen to any of the people who say this class is hard. You have to have the IQ of drywall to think this class is even remotely hard. In class tests are taken 100% from the note sheets she gives you. Essays are easy, you get to do them at home and many are based all on your opinion. Lectures are boring, but you paid for the class, so just go
The class is very boring and she talks all hour. Go though because she give hand outs and you really cant miss those.
never had a more boring class. yet i never had an easier class. i hardly ever showed up, yet finished with an a. all notes get posted online.
Gloria is a sweetheart. Class was really easy. Don't really need the book, just go to class and take the notes. This class actually got me interested in being more environmentally conscious. First geography class I've actually enjoyed :)
Gloria was a nice professor. She gives you a complete outline of the notes for tests and study guides. This class is actually really interesting and I recommend it! You do need the book because there are 3 online quizzes that come from there. Also one semester project... start early!
Awesome class! Gloria is a wonderful professor!
This was one of the best classes I have ever taken. If you are looking for an easy UP, take this. Tests are straight from the notes, quizzes straight from the book, and big project at the end of the class was easy if you collect for the whole semester. She is very knowledgeable of the subject and passionate about it too. Very interesting.
Siers is a nice lady. Allowed make up tests if needed. Hardest part of class was 3 online quizzes. You take tests in portions so they are easy. Notes are sparatic, hard to follow especially when using for study guides. Have a term project which only requires getting 1 article a week during the semester. BORING BORING BORING but easy overall.
Gives you the notes so its really hard to pay attention in class...really monotone and boring to listen to. The most annoying thing is that you have to have weekly articles from a newspaper and she only lets you do two internet ones so your constantly having to buy a newspaper. Okay class overall
She'll give you copies of the notes (but it's highly recommended to read the book before tests), study guides are posted online. Grade is based on labs, tests and a weekly assignment. She has an attendance policy, so miss as little class as possible. Just pay attention, take notes, read the chapters, and do the study guide and you'll pass.
This class is terribly boring. And it is filled with LOTS of busy work. Overall, I did not enjoy this class and wouldn't recommend it. I spend more time on this homework than I do for classes that are important to my major!
she tells you not to drink water because other countries need it. she wastes thousands of sheets of paper handing out notes that u dont read. but she is pretty cute
I hated this class. Tests are unnecessarily long for a 100 level class. There are about 100 questions, a map portion, and a few essays you do out of class and hand in the day of the test. There's a term project that requires saving articles throughout the semester, writing summaries, and mandatory trips to the writing center(very lame).
SO BORING. the most boring thing i've ever forced myself to sit through. tests are really hard and shes terrible at returning emails. easy to get a B-ish but impossible to get an A.
Class is SO boring! Her voice literally puts you to sleep; however, she gives you all of the information for the tests so you will do well in the class as long as you study by reading over the notes a couple times.
Very nice, boring, but nice. 2 hours of class: first hour is lecture, second hour is exercises she assigns. If I didn't come to class, all I would have to do is tell her that I accidently slept in, or that I was sick or whatever, she was completely understanding. She gives you all the notes you need, so you really don't need the book.
VERY nice professor and is willing to help her students. Listening to her lecture is pretty boring but after she talks for an hour you have the rest of the time to work on labs. Not a easy class.. but if you do the articles, labs, and somewhat well on the tests, you'll get at least a C
Listen, at times this class seems boring, it is at times, but if you go to to the extra credit movies and actually listen to what she says, you will learn a lot. Read the textbook, and her lecture sheets she passes out. The map quizzes aren't that bad, she is really nice and she is willing to help, but only if you make the effort.
Not a hard class but she is a TERRIBLE professor. She preaches at you about the enviorment, and since attendance is mandatory you have to sit through it. The reviews she gives for exams dont help that much. Easy class to pass but i couldnt stand her lectures. There has to be a better GEO prof at cental other than her.
WORST TEACHER EVER.... she is soooooo boring.. teaches you nothing..
Good class to take a nap in. Lectures are more like conversations, but boring conversations that put you out. Here tests are the same way! She will write a misc. paragraph telling you about facts that are irrelevant then the question! So boring! She will take attendance and if you don't go she takes % off final grade
Boring Boring Boring!!! Lectures will put you to sleep and map exams are fairly easy, regular exam question will have a paragraph oh useless facts then the question! Picky on the term project she assigns! Also she does take attendance and if you don't go then she will take a % point off your overall grade in the class
Sure, she's not the most exciting professor in the world, but at least she's passionate about what she teaches. The map quizzes and exams are fairly easy as long as you study a good couple hours beforehand. It's easy to get an A with all the extra credit. For example, watching Jurassic Park out of class added 1% to my total grade.
Good Prof. Very helpful
If your attention span is low, this professor may not be the best choice. Siers is passionate about what she teaches, but her presentation of the material is very direct and all lecture-based. She also assigns a lot of reading, not only in the text, but on Blackboard, as well as hand outs.
SO BORING. Sat there that first day and was on my phone the whole time.
This class is pretty simple. She lectures the entire hour, but will sometimes show videos that are actually very interesting. Just show up to class, study the notes, and study A LOT for the map tests. start the semester long project early. You cannot wait till the last minute. Otherwise, easy class.
I was very uninterested in environmental geography, but this class wasn't too bad. I got an A- after getting over 100% on map tests (memorize!) I didn't do as well on multiple choice tests, but the extra credit made up for it. Start the semester long project early and it's easy. Overall very boring, but not a tough class.
This professor was honestly terrible. She lectures from the front of the class and only talks about the notes she gives a sheet of. But yet she takes attendance every class by a note card you turn in. And her term paper is a ridiculous amount of work for a 100 level class.
If you want a class about how geography affects environment then you're out of luck. You learn three things about geography the entire semester. If you want to take an environmental issues class with some map tests then this is the class for you. The class is easy and you don't have to take notes so that's something going for it.
Good professor overall. Lectures weren't that interesting, but videos helped and had a lot of extra credit opportunities. Start term project at the beginning of the course and the better grade you will get. Map quizzes and the term project helped my grade, when multiple choice tests weren't too good. Pretty easy class for UP.
One of the most hypocritical professors I've ever met. She is constantly lecturing the class about recycling and conserving products, yet she prints out numerous amounts of paper to hand out in class, and I really mean a lot. We usually get a page of notes everyday, articles, a new map, and an attendance slip she uses everyday to take attendance.
Online Geography 105, counted as the lab credit. Had two books: One lab manual, one textbook. A lot of reading, and the labs are a lot of work as well. Quizzes are basically just asking what you had for answers for questions on the lab. For me, it was a hard class. It is a lot of work with discussion boards, quizzes, and labs, so stay on top of it.
Took GEO105 online and it was an absolute breeze. There was an online homework due everyday, but it wasn't hard at all. the practice exams are required, but the questions are worded the same as on the actual exam. There was also an extra credit opportunity every week on the discussion that was super helpful. Highly recommend.
So the teacher didnt do anything except field questions on students who had issues with blackboard or the textbooks website where most of the work was done. I could have just as easily bought the book myself and saved myself $1400 because I didnt get ANY extra instruction from the teacher. Class was a joke it was so easy.
