Mrs. Stuart is the best professor I have had in college. She knows exactly what she is teaching and therefore is able to explain the material clearly. Her tests are very straight foward, no tricks or surprises.... great teacher, would recommend to anyone.

Loved her class! She has these lil worksheets that broke down bond payable and journal entries! Her quizzes make sure you get depreciation and are in class open note open book and some are even take home! However this is not an EASY A but if you pay attention and go to class you will get a high B or A. I took the class for 2101 and 2102! Loved it!

Shes a great teacher, very clear, extremely helpful. Her tests are difficult, study! She gives random quizzes sometimes open book/open discussion, sometimes she just gives everyone in class 100s. Attendance is mandatory get 7 unexcused, then drops a letter grade.

First time doing a review but this professor deserves it. She's so nice and always willing to help her students if they don't understand material. Not hard to understand the material if you do the HW assignments and show up to class. Gives a study guide also so that helps. Take her if you want to learn accounting the right way.

Shes a really nice lady, loves what she teaches. Cancells class like NEVER and attendance is mandatory, but it should be for any accounting class. Don't miss a day you wont know whats going on. Easy homework assignments, quizzes that the whole class gets 100 on. take her is you can!!!

Great Professor

I'll come out and say I received a D in this course so I'm very frustrated with some aspects of it. Her tests are very tricky as far as multiple choice goes, but HW and the Project helps out your grade a lot. Though I just couldn't get a handle on this course, she was helpful and always willing to meet with me. Nice lady, just difficult for some.

ms stuart was awesome. she's not the easiest by any means, but if you're an acct major, TAKE HER! you will come out of it knowing the material better than anyone. she does lots of examples in class. 3 tests and a final. not the easiest tests, but you just have to know everything. one easy project grade in the middle of the semester. Although the subject is hard Dr Stuart really helps her students understand accounting. Her 2 day tests arent hard at all if you go to class everyday and pay attention. the workload isnt over bearable like other classes. She is by far the best accounting professor at georgia southern

This is a very hard class, many people have to take it twice. With that being said, Dr. Stuart is literally the best teacher you could possibly have to cover the material. She wants you to succeed. Her lectures are VERY organized and she gives thorough and clear examples. You will have to study and whatever you do, go to class. But she is amazing!

Such an amazing professor I definitely recommend taking her. However if you want and easy A look somewhere else. When I first entered the course I struggled because I wasn't used to her way of grading. I failed my first test. But I learned from that and was able to make B'S and A's on the other 3 test and ended up with a B in the class.

Stuart is a pretty good professor. She really explains the material, but her test are next to impossible to make an A on. Gives a lot of chances for easy quiz grades and homework assignments.

Lectures are clear and concise. If you have any questions on anything she is more than willing to help you understand. The tests do require you to actually study to pass them though. All in all she is a great professor and I would recommend her to first year accountingfinance students.

Professor Stuart is such a great professor, and she really knows what she is talking about. If you don't like Accounting then this class will be hard but she teaches it very well and clear, and she is there for you. She isn't a teacher that wants you to fail, she will try anything she can to help you get the grade you work for. Take her!

She is a great teacher if you don't understand she will go over concepts multiple times. She gives extra credit. She overall loves her job. The only problem is because the tests are standardize she will teach all the material but whoever created the tests might do things a little differently. It's not her fault that the class is incredibly hard.

Favorite professor at GSU! She turned a boring subject into something interesting. Makes it fun by giving examples of the tax impact on real life situations & gets you thinking in a new way. Had 4 exams, 4 tax returns, research assignment, & quizzes. The exams are a little difficult but this is tax. Highly recommended!

Mrs. Stuart is a great professor for financial accounting. She makes sure you are prepared for the tests and she goes over everything in class. I never read the book. You have to do online homework once a week. She does problems in class that help you learn the material. Would take again.

She explains things very clearly, easily, and asks if there's questions after every topic so she goes at her STUDENTS' speeds. Attendance is not mandatory, but you won't understand the material unless you go.

She teaches so well, everything step by step- you just have to pay attention. She really does make it as easy as possible. If you miss a single class you'll be behind, but thats just accounting. The book is required, but I never got it and just followed along in the class/ with the homework. Highly recommend taking her!!! She is great and so nice!!

The accounting department is full of professors who don't care, looking for tenure, or just want to make you feel dumber than them, then willing to teach and help students understand. She is a wonderful professor who will TRULY help you learn.

Professor Stuart is one of the best professors I have had in all of college! She really cares about her students and takes time going over difficult topics. She moves at the perfect pace so that everyone can keep up. She is also very organized and easy to follow along with. She does cover a lot every class so you really can't miss any days.

Gloria Stuart is my fav professor at GA Southern!! She cares about her students, she cares about what she teaches, and her excitement is contagious. This is my second time taking her and I am so happy I did. If you are on the fence about being in accounting or you want to understand what is being taught on the first try, take her!

Professor Stuart is amazing and so sweet. HW is due every Friday and the tests are really hard, but she is the best. I had her for financial accounting too and it was still amazing. I definetly recommened her. As long as you show up to class, STUDY, and listen during lectures you'll be fine. She LOVES her students and really cares about your grade

Stuart is a really nice professor. She really tries her best to make sure you understand the info, but the tests are much harder than they need to be and NOT open note. After this class, I'm no longer sure if accounting is the right major for me but if you are sure definitely take Stuart. She's very sweet as well.

Super nice and helpful. Lectures are super on topic but not too bad. Almost all of the assignments were on connect but for the most part super easy. If you do your assignments you'll pass this class. Doesn't accept late work but gives you a good amount of time for quizzes etc.

Dr. Stuart is a great professor. Her class may be at 8 am but I learned more from her while being half asleep than I did in any other class this semester. She gives you guided notes packets that make taking notes a breeze. Limited opportunities for extra credit, but drops your 2 lowest homework and quiz grades.

Dr. Stuart is truly an amazing teacher she cares so much for her students. The class material can be hard but there are resources to help, the test are easy if you go to class and study. The grading in the class is spread out so even if you don't do great on her test if you complete all the other assignments it's not hard to get a good grade.

I loved this professor. I was an accounting major going into this class and was so scared of what it would be like. Well, I have a 98, and I really think it is because of how good this professor is. She has printable guided notes, which makes it so much easier to learn. The homework was the only downside because it was a lot to do in a week.

This class is naturally a difficult class, but as long as you SHOW UP and do the worksheets you will understand it (maybe not well but). This professor tries to help you out as much as possible and when she offers extra credit, DO IT. its not hard. She is one you 100% need to take if you struggle with where to put things.

This class can be challenging, but Professor Stuart makes it so much easier by providing fill-in-the-blank notes that she goes over with you in class while also providing a multitude of problems that you can work out that make studying so much easier. Attendance is not mandatory but highly recommended.

If you're required to take accounting, TAKE HER. She is an awesome professor that makes it so easy to learn, she explains everything in depth and has different forms so if you learn by pictures, doing problems, or reading it yourself she has it all. She explains everything during class so skipping might make you behind, but I would def take again.

This professor was incredible! This professor is so passionate about what she teaches and makes it interesting by applying almost everything to real life. The projects that we did all made sense, every chapter read had a place in making me better understand individual tax. If you pay attention and leave plenty of time to study, you will pass.

I can't say enough good things about Prof. Stuart. She genuinely cares about her student's and has a passion for what she does. I changed my major because of this class, that's how well she teaches. She knows not everyone is an Accounting major and will work with you if you are struggling. I just love her, I wish more Professors were like her!

Exams were over a lot of material but as long as you study the powerpoints and redo the demo problems a lot, you'll be fine. You are allowed a 3 x 5 notecard for every exam (does not help too much because there is so much material, but it saved me sometimes). Also 20 points extra credit near the end of semester.

She's very knowledgeable and makes things very easy to understand if you actually pay attention. attendance wasn't mandatory but, you really need to go to her lectures. Even though I ended with a C, I would've failed with any other professor.

I love Professor Stuart! She is a genius and knows her material so well. She is accessible in and outside of class. If you are struggling tutoring helps but her office hours are an awesome place if you need some simple clarifications or have questions. Accounting is hard, but she's the best!

I really enjoyed her class. Everything is laid out for you, and I recommend watching her lecture videos and doing the demo problems. The class was pretty easy for me, it just came down to memorizing all the rules, limits, and exceptions for certain things. She's available if you need any help. Would definitely take her again! :)

I had her spring 2025 and she was amazing! She gave template notes that you had to fill in and they were so helpful!! As long as you understood your notes the tests were easy! Did give homework but it all helped prepare you for the tests. She explained things very well and was always willing to help you! I wish I could take again!

I loved this professor!! She provides notes to print out and fill in as you go along in the lecture. Lots of practice problems and lots of homework, but the homework easily prepares you for the exams. Ask for help and she'll give it! If you're nervous for accounting (like i was) I highly recommend prof Stuart!!
