You get the marks you earn in the class. She is willing to help clear up any questions students may have. She swears which is pretty cool. As has been and will be mentioned for times to come she loves discussion. This can be an issue if you find yourself in a class which is quiet. She also checks out this website, Hi Glorie. As I am in her Seniors' English class, we have no exams. Having said that, I am sure she mentally rates us on class participation. As in any class, we get out of it what we put into it. And in this class, we have gained so much from her "teaching" and her respect.

The stuff that all great profs are made of. Honestly, there isn't any better at the UofS. Helpful, honest, genuine, caring and brilliant. Tough (but very fair) marker, you get what you deserve and you'll learn a lot working for it. Loves the subject and loves teaching it, which shows. Great.

Excellent professor!!! I was dreading taking university English, but she made the experience very positive. She joyfully helps you with any problems you encounter and never makes you feel like you have asked a dumb question (I know they say there are no dumb questions, but they lie). Defiantly deserving of a rave review and a raise.

Wonderful, caring, genuine. If you are lucky enough to take a class from Glorie you are truly blessed! Glorie sincerely cares about each of her students, and shows it. However I wish she was a little bit more straight forward with students way off base in discussions when they have completely missed the point. But all around awesome prof & person!

I have had three classes from Glorie in the university classes for seniors. She is great, entertaining, and well prepared. She is a favourite among the people over 55 who take senior classes.

she is honest and a very genuine person, she keeps the everyone engaged in her class discussions... very easy going on her students... she is a privilege to this school and her students. LOVE her!!!

The. Best. Prof. Ever. She cares about her students. On the third day of class she had everyone's name memorized. She likes the students who participate and speak in class, but she is not biased on that with her marking. Her class is not mandatory, but she has high attendance because of her and her material. Excellent Prof. Loved her.

She keeps your interest and she wants her students to do well. I always recommend her to students who need to take an English class. I haven't had her as a prof in 3 years and she still remembers my name! If you like English, you will love this class.

Easily one of the best profs I've had. SO nice and was always willing to help me if I needed it. She was also very understanding of the students and let everyone say their opinion. I wasn't a fan of all the readings needed to be done before every class, but they were helpful in the end.

Amazing prof ever! So inspirational. Class attendance isn't mandatory, but I showed up to every one. She's big on discussions, so get ready to participate in small or large groups. But she offers an option for the shy students to send her links by email, so an easy 10%. Glorie's super nice and easy to approach if you need a hand. Loved her class!

Glorie is such an amazing professor! She is always willing to help, encourages her students to succeed, and is always super enthusiastic. Commerce 100 is a class that hasn't had the greatest reviews, however, having Glorie as a tutorial leader made it so much better. I would definitely recommend taking a class from her if you get the chance :D

My favourite prof. at the University of Saskatchewan. She is amazing. Not only does she give great , east to follow lectures, she tells you exactly what you need to do for paper, midterms, and finals. She very fair in terms of marking. She gives you the exact essay topics for your exams well in advance so you have plenty of time to plan.

If you have a legitimate reason you can't finish an assignment on time (even if you're just over stressed!) she will give you an extension. She has a lot of writing assignments, but is a very fair marker and gives excellent feedback.

She does mark somewhat hard, but I think it's good not to give grade inflation as well, so I understand where she is coming from. Overall I'd kill to have her as a professor again!

Glorie is an amazing prof that really cares about her students. There are no pop quizzes on the stories that are assigned but your essays are based off those books. Books are discussed in class so if there is not a clear understanding she helps you there. There is quite a bit of class discussion but it is very helpful.

Professor Glorie is extremely nice and well-respected. She creates a comfortable environment for discussions and questions, so participation is important. We read simple texts that I had read in high school, but the way she teaches them creates an in-depth understanding. I would highly recommend to take her and she also gives great feedback!

Probably the best English professor at Usask, truly cares about students and wants them to do well. The way she prepares you for the final paper is incredible (something every professor should do). The quizzes in the class are a great way to boost your grade, the class is interesting, some great books read.

Accommodating when needing an extension, & for students who struggle with intelletual disabilities. Lot's of readings but there's only one full essay. Attendance doesn't matter but recommend not skipping for full participation marks. Hardly any writing classes & grades hard BUT the MLA writing textbook she suggests helps you a ton.

this was my 1st wgst class, i remember being challenged by the material bc they were new concepts to me but glorie was so helpful and even met with me in person to discuss my paper, very accessible and caring and the class was fun too

Participation marks- so talk in class! Glorie is understanding and will give extensions (won't deduct marks). She is very obviously passionate about her work. Most students love/respect her. If you're used to or expect to get high 90s in her class don't, lol. She is tough in grading essays and assignments. 85 if you're a great writer maybe 90.
