This is the worst professor I've had. She just moved to America. She degrades students & talks about your grades in front of everyone. Even if your work is flawless- it won't be a 100. Quizzes daily. Pulls answers out of her butt. & tests are very vague. You can't use the textbook. I'm currently retaking the class to get all I can from it!
Read her slides and pay attention in class and you'll do well. Her quizzes and test are very straightforward and she highlights everything that will be on it. If she repeats it a few times, expect to see it on her test. She reviews everything and really cares that you learn. I grew very fond of her and would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Harder than the other AP teachers but she knows what shes talking about and you'll learn alot. Good prep for nursing school. She cares for her students and is willing to help you out. Shes straightforward with whats going to be on the tests.
SHE IS AMAZING. Passionate about the subject and is ALWAYS available to help her students. She is one of the most amazing professors I have had the pleasure of learning from. You will learn so much and she makes it so easy to understand.
The worst. It's impossible to get an A. Her English sucks, A&P is hard enough without her pronunciation. She will discuss individual grades in front of the class, will not meet with students outside of class. When she's not reading word for word off of a PowerPoint, she is talking about how respected and loved she is by all previous students.
She is a great professor. Do what you are told, show up, and be ready to learn. If you are immature and not ready to be an adult you should not take her. She is passionate about what she teaches and doesn't just read off of a ppt. She teaches on the whiteboard. It is active and you will come out understanding the subject.
I wasn't too fond of her personality at first, but she became an enjoyable teacher. Gives random extra points on quizzes/tests to help bump grade. Open to receiving late work.
Dr. Alexander cares about her students. She explains very well. You will leave this class with a good understanding of A&p2. She is fair and clear in expectations. She wants the best for her class but expects you to doyour work and study hard everyday for a good grade. A good preparation for nursing school. She has a true passion for teaching.
Professor Alexander was a great teacher to have this semester. She cared a lot about her students, and she was always willing to help whenever there was an issue. I started off kind of on a bumpy road, but she helped guide me in the right direction. She always tried her hardest to make sure everyone understood the material being taught.
Awesome teacher, she is very clear in her lecture, but can go through her power point slides a little too quickly sometimes. Very willing to help at anytime. Her passion for A/P 2 really comes through every time she discussed each topic. Her tests are pretty straight forward and most of the test is multiple choice.
The best ANP teacher I've had. She is very caring about her students. She always wanted her students to succeed. You will learn a lot of things from her.
Not only is Professor Alexander brilliant, but she is passionate about science. In my years in collegiate education, I have never been more inspired by an educator. She doesnt intentionally try, but she is a motivator. Her passion drives you to strive and want to succeed in being a great healthcare student & professional.
Dr. Alexander is an amazing professor! I loved going to her class. She goes into details about everything, but it only helps you, especially going into the medical field. Her class is tough, but she does everything in her power to help you get the grade you want. She is the best professor I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and take her class!
The most rude & absolute worst professor I have ever had. The 1 bad review is correct! She is so unorganized during her lectures. She is constantly going back and forth & talks way too fast with a very thick accent. In addition to discussing grades, she is rude to students in front of the whole class and wont let you open your book during lectures
Glory Alexander is an excellent anatomy professor. You will have to work hard in her class just because the topics are heavy with infomration, but it is anatomy and it is expected from those types of class in general. She is very caring and wants all her students to succeed. Just pay attention in class and make sure you study her online notes.
A&P II is a difficult class. Professor Alexander would start teaching, go off topic, stat talking about how good of a professor she is and how many students appreciate her. She cares about students, but should not waste time when teaching, and be better at communicating and sending reminders. She doesn't follow the schedule she gives.
I honestly did not like at all. I dont why students like her so much? Shes the hardest professor I have ever taken. Just to get a A- I had to stay up late studying the material was extremely heavy. Good luck if you want to take her.
I am a decent student but this class took everything out of me. Every week there is a 50 question quiz. Very sweet lady cares a lot about your grade, but there are just too many assignments. We would finish one test, finish the next unit the same day and be quizzed the next class period. However, I will say that the test was info from the quizzes.
You will have to study A LOT for this class. I am a good student, and this was a hard class for me. Her quizes are hard, and some questions can be very confusing. I wish she was more organized somehow, make announcements and just teach more organized. She will start teaching something and then jump from a subject to another.
She knows her material but her class is very unorganized and she takes things very personally. Our class was 2 weeks behind because she spent about 35% of the semester ranting or going off topic and she never updated the schedule. There are 50q quizzes on every chapter which honestly feels like an exam because of how specific her questions are.
I was nervous about taking her because I saw the ratings she had, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt by taking her class. I want to thank her for believing in me before believing in myself
Dr. Alexander is such a sweet and caring professor. She will help you in her class if she sees you putting in the effort. There's a quiz after each chapter and those same questions are on the exams. I found the quizzes to be extremely helpful! Each exam consists of 2-3 chapters. She gives out multiple assignments which are fairly easy.
Professor Alexander is the best professor Ive taken. Yes you are going to have to put in the work, but she makes it easy to learn and is always willing to help. She loves her quizzes but I promise the quizzes are so helpful and helps immensely with exams! Im trying to take her again.
Professor Alexander is amazing! She's not super easy, she makes you work for your grade. But she does whatever she can to help you receive a good grade. She also works super hard and puts in a lot of effort making her lessons. Aside from that, she's a funny person, always knew how to make us laugh and regain our attention when we zoned out lol
Great professor! I just finished this course all in 4 weeks. You will learn so much and she emphasizes the material she really wants you to know. Quizzes and tests are straight from the PowerPoint. Tests are previous quiz questions combined. If you study hard you can come out of her class with an A or B. Highly recommended.
She was an amazing person and teacher. she is very tough on learning but she will help you if you don't understand. She lectures a lot and her lectures are very good and detailed. she also has a beautiful heart that shows in her teaching and love for students. if you are nice and try to learn she will help you greatly and will not let you fail.
Amazing professor ,she cares about your education and makes you work for it!She helps out a lot with extra credit and the exams are the quizzes all combined!
Professor Alexander has been the best teacher Ive had at GGC and she will help you at anytime if you need it!The powerpoints were heavy but it will get you through the semester!
She's one of the best professors I ever had. She goes each slide in the powerpoint and explains it. There are a lot of quizzes, 3 assignments, and 3 exams. But if u work hard and pay attention in class you pass the class. She also gives bonus points and gives good feedback. Take her...
The class was not enjoyable at all, to be honest. Her accent was very strong, which made it hard to listen to the already-heavy lecture. She had a tentative schedule, but she was NEVER on time with it. Moved the date of the practical exam a week prior did not make it helpful. Instructions were not clearly given, no timing was monitored. Don't take!
Can be very rude, especially if youre a person that loves to participate or ask questions. If you do bad on her test, makes you feel insecure. she seems like she can be a nice person but she is not fit to be a teacher personally. Know the slides like the back of your head and youll be fine. No phones. Do not get her angry
She was very disorganized, and called out students that did poorly in tests. She does not give enough time to finish the test that are very long. Her accent is very heavy, so it's hard to understand her. Overall she's the hardest teacher I've taken at GGC.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. I made the mistake of overlooking her bad reviews and paid the price. She's a disrespectful, unprofessional teacher. She often gets off-topic, forgetful, and makes those who are doing poorly feel like trash in front of others. Has an attitude and ego problem. Memorize all PowerPoint slides for each quiz & test for A.
Dr. Alexander by far is the most caring Professors I've ever had! She frequently goes of her way to help students outside of class and truly cares. She makes it clear that she doesn't tolerate slacking but if you are serious about succeeding she will help you anyway she can. Just come to class, pay attention and work hard and you will love her!
Professor Alexander is by far one of the most caring and best lecturers I have had. Her class is lecture heavy, but if you pay attention and participate in class, you will pass! Professor Alexander cares about you and wants you to succeed in her class. She is always there and willing to help. I love that she writes her notes on the board!
I truly loved her class. If you work for your grade you will succeed. She is super helpful outside of the classroom as well. If you ask she will help you! You will have quizzes that are 50 questions long BUT they HELP you for the test and final. She ask questions that do make you think but honestly you wont forget what you learned either.
She is tough but honestly the way she teaches you helps you remember the material it might not seem like it at the time but it does help! The way she made me think helped me on my TEAS. Test and quizzes are hard but if you ask questions and study you will be fine. Definitely attended class!
Professor Alexander is a literal angel, she will do anything in her power to make sure her students are set for their future. No matter what time of day it is she will always put her students as her #1 priority. Her lectures are amazing and she makes learning so fun. Everything that I learned in her class has stuck with me, shes the best.
She has 50 question quizzes which help for the test. If you study and ask questions you will do great! She is there to help you! Attendance is required to help you succeed in her class.
Do not take this professor if it is online. I beg you guys, PLEASE DO NOT TAKE. She is rude, will blame you for the lock down browser messing up. She is bad at answering text messages/email. You are learning on your own. Be aware, she does have a thick accent.
Nope, by far the worst professor at GGC. I couldn't provide a medical doc for myself cause it was an issue with my poor baby of 2. I was able to provide my child doc but not mine and she clearly said it has to be mine. She also didn't believe in "documents" b/c she says anyone can print out a fake doc. She doesn't respond t her emails , shes rude.
Do not take her online! I looked on this website and seen the reviews were bad but I didnt listen but listen to me! DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS
She's the worst! I've never had such an awful teacher until I took her! Lmao it makes me laugh because every time you try to talk to her about your grades or u have a question on a specific assignment she'll be rude and not even answer your question. Her accent is super thick too, you can't even understand what she's saying. AND she'll laugh @ you!
This is a hard class but Mrs. Alexander will put in an effort to help you get through it. There is a lot of material to go through but if you put in the work, you'll be fine! She thoroughly explains the material, to make sure you understand the topics.
I can't say her class is easy but if you study and follow the curriculum you will be GREAT and get an A!. she is very helpful and passionated to her students. She put her student #1 priority. there are many assignments and quizes but all are helpful to study and prepare for the exam. I truly love her and her class. I strongly rec to take this class
Professor Glory is a very caring teacher and will do her best to help her student. She is one of the best teachers, I have come across. She has assignments for every chapter and gives quizzes for every chapter. She gives 3 exams and 2 lab exams. A&P is not easy but if you study daily and do the assignments, you will do well
Dont take this class, very bad Professor. I regret taking her
Absolutely rude professor anytime you ask her something she would respond in a smart tone. She calls out EVERYONE infront of the entire class if u get a low grade or do anything human. She is a perfectionist so have that in mind if its not a 95+ she will not be happy. Yes there is a quiz EVERY CLASS.
This professor at first may be difficult, but stick in there. She is caring towards her students and wants them to succeed. The class is mostly quizzes and tests, but her quiz questions come directly from her study guides and her PowerPoints and her test questions come from the quizzes.
Dr. Alexander is an amazing professor. She does make slick comments sometimes and people may not ask questions because she's sassy at times. But she cares so much about the success of her students. She made learning AP2 a walk in the park because she breaks everything down. Pay attention to quizzes because you will see them again on tests.
I absolutely loved her! She called people out for not listening, but those were the same people who got bad grades for a reason. Attendance is important. She gave weekly quizzes & labs which were easy. She may seem tough but she's is like a mom and wants you to exceed. Pay attention to her lectures, labs and study guides. They will show up in tests
When I would be taking notes in class, she would constantly be asking me what I was doing. I was clearly taking notes, my phone or laptop were not even out. One time I put my pencil down to get my pen and again she asked me what I was doing. She's very rude, she said she didn't trust me when I would use my laptop to look at the powerpoint slides.
The lecture's very fast and she makes ignorant comments about women. She does not explain concepts well, and you end up teaching yourself all of the concepts. 10/10 do not take her, your grade will suffer. She is very disorganized which makes this challenging class even harder.
Professor Alexander is great. She provides you with many resources to help you (video lectures, assignments, study guides etc). She might talk to you about you grades and how you can improve or, keep up the good work. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. She wants her students to come out of her class with at least 80%
Prof. Glory Alexander is well knowledgeable about the subject matter and gives detailed explanations. She is not a professor who just reads from the slides. Instead, she takes her time to teach on the board the main points within the slides so that it's easier to understand when one read the slides, helping her students learn the material in class.
The lectures given by Dr. Alexander are quite interesting and enlightening. You'll leave the class with a better understanding of your body's internal systems and structures as well as a renewed appreciation for your body and posture. I strongly advise you to read and complete the assignments, study guides, and notes that Dr. Alexander may provide.
Great experience! Dr. Glory Alexander is a professor who not only cares about her students but pushes them to exceed. She teaches with her own knowledge on topics instead of just going through and reading off a book or PowerPoint. She comes to class with energy and knows exactly what to emphasize in the material for exams and quizzes.
Kind and cares for her students and pushes them to do well. Class is lecture-heavy, but she will emphasize what you need to know for the exams. Exams and quizzes are reviewed the class before. Study guides for each chapter help a bunch with quizzes and exams. Everything for each chapter is on the ppt. Not a lot of assignments, but lots of info.
At first when I signed up for Dr. Alexander I was upset, but after I passed her A & P 2 course, I'm so relieved. TAKE HER if you want someone hardcore reminding you about assignments and who actually cares about you!
Dr. Alexander is the best! She has so much knowledge and experience in teaching. She cares a lot about her students and wants them all to succeed. A&P2 is a difficult course, but she explains everything very well. I enjoyed her class and would 10/10 recommend to take her class, you won't regret it.
she will make you feel very insecure if you aren't doing well in her class. calls out /picks on certain students. she doesn't allow laptops even though her notes are confusing. you will have labs due but she doesn't not grade them so you will never know what you put is correct, when taking lab quizzes she grades extremely hard.
Dr. Alexander was THE only professor I needed. She pushes and motivates you to be the very best student you have never been before. You turn out to be a different person when you leave her class at the end of the semester. She doesn't mess around when it comes to honest and hard work. Take her class if you can and look beyond the first day.
Dr. Alexander grades ridiculously, no room for error. I am a single mother of 2 and she referenced it nearly every class. That she did not like that I had kids and was not married, very offensive language used. She announces who has bad grades every class. If you're late or miss a class you fail. I ended with an 89, she would not round to 90.
45 minutes to take 40 question quizzes, you have to really teach yourself and use the textbook as well as outside sources to understand material. She was very particular and nitpicky on how answers were given on lab quizzes and exams even if you gave the correct answer. I reported her for inappropriate commentary she made of me to another student.
She will not separate her personal views and beliefs and will let you know about them throughout the semester but if you can look past that she gets better throughout the semester and her teaching style is helpful in understanding the concepts. She does her best to make sure everyone does good in the class but it's a tough love type of course.
You have to KNOW the powerpoint all the slides all the material and it usually 100+ slides. She's caring and passionate but its a tough class. If you don't work, don't have any extracurricular activities, taking less than 13 credit hours,,don't mind tons of reading, good at memorisation, and don't go out often you should be able to pass with A.
Only changes grades if ENTIRE class does bad, bad grade=your fault. Never gives actual advice to prep for exams, says "study and you'll be fine". Lectures are small compared to the 150+ slides you have to go over to teach yourself. SO rude, singles out students, thinks this is your only class. Was reported for it and always brought it up.
TERRIBLE that's all I have to say. It's clear she doesn't care about her students and often makes the classroom setting uncomfortable, which is not conducive to learning. As a student who did really well in anatomy and has had compassionate teachers, I would not recommend her whatsoever. Save yourself the trouble.
within 5 minutes of the first lecture i had already picked up on her snarky attitude towards students. she will bring up religion, single you out publicly for poor grades yet never gives clear study guidelines. it is super common for students to do poorly. her ratings aren't bitter students, she is a professor with no decorum. she is judgmental too
Professor Alexander is bipolar to every student and is not supportive in giving help. Would not recommend
Her lectures are clear, engaging, and well-organized, making even complex topics easier to grasp. She is incredibly approachable and supportive. Her feedback on assignments and tests was constructive and detailed, which helped me improve throughout the semester.
Prof.Glory is a very caring and loving teacher, she will do the most of it all to let you get good grade in the subject. Her lectures are pretty heavy with information but everything is well explained. Her material on d2l is very helpful. Take her is you can!
This professor taught the difficult material of A&P2 very well in a way that made it easy to understand and retain. She is a very understanding professor who will take care of you if you show effort as well. Put in the work and she will help you to the best of her ability. Also very open to questions and additional feedback.
Professor Glory Alexander is one of my favorite professors ever. She cares for her students; no matter who it is, she wants everyone to pass. However, Anatomy 2 is very demanding and requires effort to exceed, so do not assume this is an easy class. Even so, Professor Glory does a fantastic job to make the class memorable and fun. Would take again!
My favorite professor I have ever taken, hands down. Despite some of the other comments that I have read here, she is a caring professor. She makes that very clear that she wants to help them. She also tries and push her students to be the best that they can be and wants them to do their absolute best. Her teaching style is very clear and forward.
Beware! This was an online course and I am an out of state student. She is inaccessible by phone and email, constantly changes due dates with no warning, does not put in grades for over a month, does not know how to work D2L, and is extremely rude when you do manage to get in touch. The course is not difficult, but Professor Alexander certainly is.
One of the BEST teachers I have had thus far. She genuinely cares for her students and will even go out of her way to make sure we pass. I would not listen to the previous reviews they make it seem like I was going into an environment other than what I experienced. I would take her again!
This professor is racist. She makes fun of students with kids who leave early to pick them up from school. Would not recommend taking her. She has heavy lectures, make sure to show up participation matters. But she will make rude comments on how you look, and will tell the class if you've failed a quiz or test.
Do not take this professor. She will single you out for poor grades, religion, race, etc. she is horrible and does not show any support for her students
I took Anatomy & Physiology II Fall 2024 and this professor is so disrespectful to her students. She judged students because they had kids. We worked hard for an A in her class, but she's not lenient at all. If a student asked a question, she would snap at them. She would also air everyone's business out in front of the class. Don't take her.
Her quizzes and lectures helped me study even when there was loads of info; I still remember 75% of what I learned in this class from ages ago. Her teaching style is rare, she's strict but with good intentions. If you take good notes pay attention and study what she tells you'll do well. She won't give up on you if you ask her for help, she's sweet
Do not be scared or worried by the reviews about her. She is a really good professor. She cares about every students success. She is very straight forward in her lab quizzes, quizzes, and exam. Study everything she gives you for each unit of the material. If you dedicated time and really work hard for your grade, then the class will go well.
She is extremely kind and caring. It was an absolute pleasure to experience her teachings. She is compassionate and cares deeply about the success of ALL her students. She does not mind taking time to ensure everyone understands. She is a reflection of grace and love. Come on time and prepared to learn, study hard.
