Goon, knows exact;y what he is talking about and does a great job using example to explain ti to his class. He is a joker too, which keeps his class interesting. Econ can be very dull, But Goon kept it very lively.

Goon is great! He teaches the material effectively and clearly. He uses great examples that catch your attention and always ends the class with a funny list or story. Goon knows his stuff and he is a great teacher.

Prof Goon was by far one of the better nstructors I have ever had and I have had some good ones. His mannerism puts students at ease and his teaching method makes difficult material easily understandable and retainable

Straight forward, to the point, best when using real life anecdotes to illustrate economic principles. Lectures were okay, could spend a bit more time on math problems by working the problem a few different ways with different variables.

One of the more interesting profs. Lectures were relevant, extra credit was in abundance. The final was REALLY hard - a review would have been valuable. I still hate econ, but that's not Goon's fault.

Best teacher, very helpfull, give alot of info for your every day life. If kids actually paid attention they would know how to stay out of debt and how to control expenses.....gives you the starting guidance on how to be success full. Final project was time consuming and some what hard, but he helped you you make sure it was good. A++++

Never had to buy the book, he posted all the notes we needed on blackboard. I understood more when he lectured than if I had just read the notes he provided. Goon had a hilarious way of making everything make more sense. Highly recommended.

He offers plenty of slowly accumulating Extra Credit, so if you start building it up from the beginning and are consistent then his class seems much easier. GREAT LECTURES!

Goon makes his lectures interesting by covering the textbook definition and following it up with real life examples so you can see how it applies. The textbook isn't needed as long as you take good notes and print the lecture notes off blackboard. Because of goon I have added Econ as a second major.

Best class & teacher ever! He was super funny and laid back. Seemed intimidating the first day but turned out much differently. He offers a TON of extra credit. I took both of his Econ classes at once, and I got A's in both of them. He has great "study" sessions for the finals, too!

Very funny and a great teacher! Will answer questions when asked. Relates what he's teacher to real-world situations. You get a cheat sheet on every test and if you stay after to review for the final, you will pass the class! One of my most favorite teacher!

One of my favorite teachers of all time. Very funny, keeps you interested, loads of real world applications (teaches you more about what you need to know to boost your success in life) GO TO HIS FINAL REVIEW!!!! All sorts of extra credit options, but he does not have any remorse if you do poorly. I got an A without the textbook. not necessary.

I've never had a professor quite like goon. He kept the class interested with comedy. My advice is to follow his instructions and attend the whole class, every class. You never know what he might just have in his bag of tricks.

I loved this class and am now an econ major! He gave a good amount of homework which really helped to prepare me for the quizzes. The quizzes were a little hard (you had to pay attention in class and read the chapters). The final was all the quizzes compiled together along with new material. It was a little tough to get an A but very possible.

I have never rated a professor before but I feel like Goon deserves to be rated. I enjoyed going to class everyday I actually looked forward to it. If business is your interest you will learn real life lessons. Tests are hard if you don't understand graphs. attend everyday and take a lot of notes!

Tells funny stories to help pass the time in what could/would be a long and boring class. If you don't like homework this is not the class for you, and if you do not attend class you will also miss out on many in class assignments.

Awesome teacher! Goes off on tangents sometimes but always relates it back to what you're learning, & the tangents are funny as hell!! Talks to us like regular people rather than lecturing, does cuss a lot but that's ok with me. No HW, but one massive project due the week of midterms. I've had three econ teachers here & he is by far THE BEST!

The funniest teacher I have ever had. Makes class interesting, and uses topics covered to real life situations. It is no cake walk though, the tests are HARD! The book isn't necessary, as I never bought it. Make sure you show up to class every day, and use the chapter notes that he puts on blackboard. A great learning experience.

Goon was the BEST instructor I have ever had. Very gifted and inspirational. I almost switched my majors because he made the class and learning experience very amazing. I learned so much, the exams are tough but he always covers the question and topics prior. I highly recommend him!

Very few homework, but it's important to get them done. Participation points are given in class. Not necessary to attend the class only because information is online to study for the quizzes. They are fairly easy so as long as you study. Final is a killer though so pay attention. He makes his lectures relatable and easier to learn from.

Easy Class

It is no mistake that Goon is not a traditional teacher, nor does he have to be. He is here for your development which is fulfilling to him. Attendance is mandatory, every single week, the whole class period. Don't worry, Goon makes this as bearable as possible. Watch out for homework and the final. Take full advantage of the resources he has. GOAT

Goon is very knowledgeable on the subject of economics but you will find he does not teach traditionally. He cusses often and using current events to give economic examples which keeps you engaged during lecture. He has a great sense of humor but can get serious when needed. His tests are extremely hard *if you don't study and take proper notes.*

Just finished this class. Had a 98 going into the final. Econ is common sense. If you don't have it, don't take the class. I got 100 on almost every quiz. I never missed a class, as they were all hilarious. Study hard and utilize your cheat sheets, and you'll be fine. Freaking Goon. That's all I have to say. I'll never forget this professor.

Goon was one of my most interesting professors. While he does tend to get side tracked in lectures, his quizzes are straight out of the textbook. On all the quizzes he allows you to bring a half sheet. You can fit 8 pt. font definitions on this sheet that I recommend doing. Do the same for his final and you'll get easy B, study concepts for an A

Goon is one funny dude, he makes up a place he works @ each semester (this is Sephora) he lies about his personal life. He is clear in his lectures, only tells you what will be on test. Allows half sheet on tests. The only bad thing is everyday in the last 5 minutes of class he gives an inclass assignment that is worth 1-10 points.

Goon won't hold your hand, you've gotta study yourself.

Goon is great! I had him for both my Econ 1A and 1B. He teaches what you need to know. Chapter outlines and PowerPoint slides are available (Canvas) for each chapter. Homework in 1A only, and a Project in 1B only. Quizzes are 2 chapters each. Half sheet is available to use for "cheat sheet". If YOU don't do the work won't pass. YOU do it you pass.
