Good prof! Easy to follow. Explains things very clearly!
Great professor, love her notes. Easy to follow but the final exam was hard. Good luck to her and the new member of her family =)
BEST PROF AT YORK! PERIOD.
Nice professor. Lectures note were great! very clear about the concepts! Assignments and Midterm exam were easy! but, her final were tooo long and toooo hard!! (which was worth 50%!)
Very helpful prof, HOT, easy to learn from. However, the final exam was very hard and very long. Three hours isnt enough to finish it. Assignments are fun and easy to learn from. Midterm is ok and fair. All in all she was a good prof
Teaches her lessons very clearly, has lecture notes on website, tests are easy if you study the problems at the back of each chapter, she's really nice, tries to involve class participation during lectures, easy to ask questions to
super nice! makes the class easy but kills you on the open book final. get ur mark high enough before the final and u'll do fine
Easy and the best professor teaching econ2500.
I felt smarter than the prof. She repeated the same points over and over again and I slept through a number of classes. I got 100 on everything in the course and 103 on the final (I don't know how) But everything was straight from the notes and text Q's
Not that much of an ez class for a non major who is required to take stats, Final exam worth 50% Assignments are ez MARKS
Simply put, an amazing Teacher. Has a good insight.
I like notes, very organized and easy understanding. Midterm is fair like the other says, but final is ok if you studied and know your stuff. Overall she is pretty good prof in York i say, besides I think she is quite HOT !!
She is absolutely the best teacher ever, extremely helpful and easy to understand. She makes sure everyone understands before moving on with the lecture. She is awesome!!!
Very good stats prof. Makes sure everyone is getting it, has clear notes and tests are very fair. The only good stats teacher at York that I know of.
Very helpful prof, who makes stats interesting and fun to learn. Main priority is making sure everyone understands the material. Very hardworking and her notes are very helful for tests and exams.
Good prof, if u study, test and exam are easy for u. Getting a pass is not difficult. Lots of students get B or above
Hard marker.
Nice prof, who is passionate about the topics she teaches and her students. The course was difficult and she went through the material at a quick pace, but very helpful if you ask for it.
Very clear. Fair tests if you study and do the questions in the book. Enthusiastic about what she teaches and the course is well organized. Undoubtedly, the best economics stats prof at York.
VERY VERY GOOD PROF. VERY HELPFUL AND INTERESTING. EXAMS VERY EASY. NEED TO GIVE MORE CHALLENGING EXAMS. VERY CONCERNED ABOUT STUDENTS. MAKES SURE THAT STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL AND DO GOOD IN THE EXAM. VERY HELPFUL IN HER OFFICE HOURS TOO. VERY APPROACHABLE AND UNDERSTANDING.
she just read from her slides..the slides are hard to understand..she teaches very quickly... hard marker..exams not too difficult..very boring class..I came to class just bcoz she gave answers to some questions in book, not bcoz she taught the materials..Overall, SUCKS..
DIDN'T REALLY LIKE HER. SHE READS FROM HER SLIDES AND ENJOYS TALKING TO ONLY FEW STUDENTS IN THE CLASS. SHE WON'T EVEN LOOK AT YOU. THE EXAMS ARE DIFFICULT AS SHE TRIES TO PUT SO MANY PROBLEMS INTO ONE.
People tend to either do very well or very poorly, depending on how much of a math foundation you already have. She covers ALOT of material SUPER FAST and exams are somewhat difficult and LONG. However, if you have any questions she will help you and not make you feel dumb. Also very organized and provides great slides. Still course was hard!
organized and clear..but very hard exams..
realllyyyyy nice person but cant teach!!!....if math is ur weakness she wont be able to help u much...ull need a tutor! shes nice but just cant explain anything
she sucks
clear and effective teaching. very easy tests and exams (every questions is from the textbook). good attitude towards students
really hard exams! dont know anyone who was able to solve all the quuestions! aver in the class was 50%...wouldnt recommend her...if you are not good in math you are garantee F. if you are good ..expect to get C.
bell curving exams = impossible to do bad in her course!
Take A.Mortonson (I think thats how u spell it) instead alot easier, plus he's got his own text which is much cheaper...
She was a terrbile teacher. Her class was ALL MATH and no application to economics AT ALL. Her tests were impossible. If you're not the greatest at math - DON'T BOTHER! I dreaded class
VERY GOOD PROF AND HELPFUL. VERY EASY CONSIDERING WE HAD TO STUDY HER NOTES ONLY WHICH WAS A SUMMARY OF THE COURSE. YOU CANT GET AN A WITHOUT TRYING SO THE LEATS YOU CAN DO IS LOOK AT THE NOTES. SHES ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR HELP. SHES SUCH A GOOD PROF THAT IM TAKING HER AGAIN FOR STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She only reads her power point slides in class, does Not explain anything, only reads (although this class includes maths she does not bother to touch the chalk and explain calculations). The exams are hard, they involve a level of understanding beyond the one reached by reading and doing the exercises in the book.
Her assignments was easy. but shes backing up on it these days.. sigh. Her midterm exam was super easy.. but final was super hard.
All she does is read the publisher's poorly formatted error filled powerpoint slides, word for word. Then she's surprised when the class average is 48%. I'd much rather have professors who don't use slides at all coz that way we all put in work. She doesn't even prepare her own slides.
She is not very good at teaching. she only reads through erroneous lecture slides. dont take her if u want to bulid ur concepts. and in fact you will end up ruining your basic concepts too. waste of my money!!
A final exam worth 60% of our grade is totally unreasonable.
Only reads the PP-slides, a professor not worthy to be teaching statistics...maybe some cooking class or lower. The midterm is tricky, gives 2 assignments which r good to get some extra points, but the final is designed for scientific analalysts. she does not teach but expect students to build a scientific understanding that is beyond the textbook.
Uses slides only however coincides with the text well. Did a lot of example questions in lecture that were similar to the final exam, extremely helpful in her office hours...if you work hard and practice questions then you will get a good mark
A very nice person and really helpful. Follows PP slides and most of the question in da exam are from the ones done in the class. Highly recommend for students who are not very confident with their Math skills. I dont have a strong math background, got A:). make sure you note down all the problems solved in the class and you'll b fine.
Ok! People who say that she is difficult should go and work in McDonald because university is not intended for everyone...just because you can get in easily it doesn't mean you can stay in it easily :) I got an A+ and yes I had to work hard too..welcome to university!
Amazing. Very clear. Really cares about students. Want her for more economics courses. As long as you study, you should be fine.
Not bad, but not very good either. Took ECON 1530 in the summer. She's a decent lecturer, uses a lot of examples. Problem is her exams are way too difficult, which forces her to bell everyone's mark up. I would avoid if possible.
She has exceptionally hard exams that NOTHING in the textbook, study guide, or lectures prepare you for! She turns basic concepts into mid-terms and exams that are something equivalent to MENSA applications or an LSAT test. Studying and understanding the concepts help little and class averages are in the 50%!! I'm trying to figure out how to report
The mid-terms where multiple choice. Usually in multiple choice exams you can exclude a couple possiblities, but her exams are structured where all five of the multiple choice questions are probable, and you're picking the "most likely" answer. Most questions you're figuring out the ambuguity of the wording, not applying the concepts you learned
One of the better Econ Stats profs, this is the 2nd course I've taken with her. She's very patient, she'll explain over and over. The problem is those darn erroneous PowerPoint slides that she reads word for word. Also, exams were fair but very long. The concepts have to be at your fingertips and you must write really fast or you won't finish.
Very considerate. Exams can be somewhat hard but she bumps marks a lot.
She is a good prof. Her midterms and exams felt hard but it really wasn't. She does boost marks up a lot, so its easier to get higher grades in her class.
Bomb prof! She genuinely cares about her students. She does read directly off slides but I don't think theres anything wrong with that. She is teaching the material still and offers tonnes of support. Love Colby!
She was a really great prof. Her class isnt easy but she makes it enjoyable. She is very clear and patient if you dont understand things and is always available through email or in office hours.I highlyy recommend her
AMAZING PROF. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. One of the best prof I have ever had in university. Is great at explaining the course material, don't need to purchase the textbook just study her powerpoints. Her tests are fair game. Study her sample tests and chapter questions. That will surely help you ace the tests!!!
very good
she is the best prof in YORK...she makes this course easier...
She is awesome, knows what she is talking about. very knowledgeable. York university should hire more prof like her.The best prof I had at york!Every minute of class was useful. Highly recommended!
AMAZING PROF. Her lectures are very clear and she doesn't waste a minute in class. I took two 3rd year level Econ courses with her. She seems very passionate about teaching. Lecture attendance is mandatory and worth the time. Practice past exams if possible, it will be useful. Overall one of the best prof I had for economics
one of best profs in Yorku?helpful. Always skipped early fair in midterm?but got a high mark in final?and got A+. Little difficult final?but all in textbook.
Attended classes but wasn't too helpful, she read off her slides... But it's definitely better than not attending. Her midterm was very easy but final was very difficult. I didn't buy the text book and it seems like most questions were from there. Still ended with an A+, basically high shook calculus.
She is amazing
Very nice lady,very clear lecture.
Excellent. Teaches vividly in class, probably one of the most helpful profs from econ department. More office hrs during exam period, she still hold her office hr even though she is not feeling well.
Professor read of powerpoint presentations all semester. Though she was receptive to student questions I personally found her to be distant and cold not approachable at all. The multiple choice portion of her exams are unnecessarily difficult, since all answers apply the student is left with guessing and hoping for the best.
very nice lady, her lecture is very clear, go through huge amount of exercises, midterm is easy, final is VERY HARD!!
I strongly dislike Calculus, and yet I was glad to be in her class. She teaches the course extremely well, is courteous to her students and a gem in York. Easily one of the best profs in York, and her classes are always beyond full due to these reasons. The midterm is very straight forward so try to ace it since the final will be a killer!
Come to every class without skipping, very good prof but extremely hard exams
From a student who was academic warning, i decided to take her class. She is a good prof and wants you to know everything hence the hard exams. However she bellcurves. and is very approachable, She even asked the class how the exams were and was apologizing that it was hard, final ended up being easier. SHe is very nice>
She is a very nice professor! All lecture slides are provided on moodle, very high use of textbook. Almost all exam and midterm questions are modified versions of questions from the book! TAs are nice and willing to help! Gordana Colby is a fair marker and if you try hard for sure you will get an A! I would like to take more courses with her!
Pretty teacher and her lessons are pretty clear.
Basically reads off of the slides every class, solves some questions (also reading off of the slides). You are better off studying at home than attending her classes. Exams are difficult.
Best economics prof at York, get her for any courses you can.
She gave curves for both our tests.
Colby, is a really clear prof. The course itself is hard but she tries to help as much as she can. Be prepared to work hard for a good mark.
Ms Colby is a great professor - her course includes required access to online resource that helps alot with studying and understanding the material. She is very by the book - but her lectures are interesting and give a real life perspective to the topics covered in the book. The online quizzes help with preparation for test. Overall great!
She's ok as a prof. No wow factor, but explains topics in clear enough manner. Lecture slides are important. Practice questions are so so as the answers to those questions are vague. Therefore you must be there in class when she takes up questions. Also you must know the material well to be able to explain questions on tests.
Really nice prof, pretty thorough loves giving extra % to bump up her class average during 1000 i remember one test she gave us 3 free answers... these are 30 questions tests...
She's an amazing prof that really knows how to explain course concepts! Would take another class with her!
This course was quite easy for me, but she was great, really nice if I had any questions, but to be honest I didnt really go to class. Loved the course though and enjoyed her teaching.
This proffessor is very knowledgeable. She is crystal clear and really knows her stuff! This course is not easy, but if you go to lectures you will be fine! Tests are tough, you really have to study to do well. Overall, It was a good course.
i took econ 1000 with professor Gordona and SHE IS THE BEST she helps her students and go slowly on material. i will be taking her econ 1010 course she tells you how to do well. be prepare to read ahead so you don't fall behind
I took two classes with her. She always gives bonus 5 - 10% in every test.
she speak clear and even you don't go to class but read the textbook carefully, you could receive a good mark
Professor Colby really understood her economic concepts and explained them thoroughly. If you already have knowledge from high school or other economic classes, then her lecture may be a little boring. Her tests are not difficult and are straight forward as long as you pay attention in class and practice the online questions!
I love her. She's THE BEST-EST-EST PROF EVER!!! Take this course with her if you want to fly through it. She is SO clear and makes the confusing material soooo easy to understand! the midterm was very easy but the final was a bit hard, BUT she gives bonus marks and ensures you do well in the course. I would love to take another course with her!!
one of the best prof's on campus
Answered my email during the weekend on a Sunday afternoon within 1 hour, 5/5 Also answered it within 2 minutes on a Monday. That's pretty unique and much appreciated.
Very difficult class, exams are hard really have to work for a passing grade. shes gorgeous and very nice
She's a really good prof, explains things thoroughly and makes sure you understand how each concept works. Her lectures are pretty useful. She's also always willing to talk and help you with whatever concerns you have, really cares a lot about students.
Highly recommend! Her midterms and exams are very straight forward, provides past exams to study from as well.
Nice professor.
EXTREMELY clear. Textbook was optional. Midterm and final are very similar to the practice questions she provides. The final was almost exactly the same as the practice questions. I think she felt bad because the class was made up of people who can't even do basic algebra so...
She basically read from the textbook for the entire semester. That said, there were testbanks and it was a really easy course if you just showed up or read the textbook.
I took Econ 3510 in 2016 summer She is a good professor with deep knowledge in Health Economic I feel the content is a bit heavy for a summer course. But She is very helpful and nice. And She advice you to see her TA so that you can clear up your mind if you find there are some content you didnt understand.
I like her and all but the problem is sometimes she repeats the same concept over and over again so many times but in different wording that she confuses many students. I wish she stopped doing that.
Best professor at York! Took Labour Economics with her this semester and she made me love it -- she made me learn a lot from this course. I look up to her as an individual, very passionate, and honestly cares about her students doing well. Takes up the full 3 hours but doesn't seem long at all - she keeps you engaged and explains thoroughly.

Very passionate and caring prof! Sometimes she repeats herself many times to make sure that her students understand the concept. I had her for ECON 1000 and the midterms as well as the exam were from the test bank. Also, you don't need the textbook cause her powerpoints cover everything but do the "study plan" questions.
My main issue with this class was something Professor Colby couldn't control - it's so big with so many students and the mic sucks. You can barely hear a thing she says and the course is too fast paced. She also doesn't assign homework or provide opportunities to get a good grade. She didn't teach me a thing and I had to learn everything myself.
She reinforces ideas by repeating them a few times which I like. She's not going to hold your hand in the course - you have to do the readings and studyplan questions if you want to do well.
she is nice and helpful she's very approachable. She will bell curve marks up if the class needs it. i recommend u take this class if u like a teacher that is fun and u can enjoy her lecture.
You can tell she knows her stuff and the whole course is pretty much based on her slides - you won't need the textbook. She's smart and pretty too.
She goes through the powerpoint slides that come with the textbook without many examples so it's pretty boring. However, she does explain things very clearly and thoroughly and get through all the material. Classes usually end a bit early. Also, it's a super easy course anyways.
I took her online Labour Economics class and it was amazing. Her lectures were easy to understand and as long as you do the practice questions and practice exams on moodle you will do well on the exams because the real exams are very similar to her practice ones. Would definitely take another course by her again!!
Her online course is great for dumb HR majors who don't know math and will only ever take this Econ course. She goes step by step and explains easily. online office hours and discussion boards are here to help. Exams are similar to practice questions.
Amazing prof !
AMAZING PROF
Amazing lectures, so clear and concise with the material needed for this course. Gordana really cares about her students success and tries her best to ensure you do well. (The bell curves are nice too)
Great prof when it comes to thorough explanation. Would want her as a prof for any course except economics because its economics. Very approachable and respectful. Made first year enjoyable.
An absolute gem of a professor. She genuinely seems to care for her students, or clearly revels in teaching, or both. Her lectures are thorough, and though it is not mandatory to attend her lectures, you would do MUCH better if you did. She ensures that every student has a thorough grasp of the expectations of the course and the course content.
she is by far my fav econ prof
She is respectful ,in my opinion the course's materials are too much for a semester.
Her lectures are very thorough and easy to follow. Be sure to use the webinars on My Econ Lab because those are really helpful. Gordana's tests are also mostly testbanks so that helps. Her lectures are an asset and while you won't get penalized for skipping, I would recommend attending anyways.
montone voice
I have graduated from York for many years and just learned that she has won the award of teaching excellence. So happy for her. Her lectures may not be the most exciting but she was a really knowledge scholar and taught well. She was very considerate in terms of grading/test accommodation as well. Great professor
I watched her online lectures for ECON 1000. She explains everything clearly and answers all the questions. She is the best prof for ECON1000/1010.
Lectures were detailed and very accommodating when there was a question, only fault would really be in the lighting making it difficult to see, but that's unavoidable. A test heavy course, no calculators, but has lots of resources to help you along. Clear in explanation and a nice person to boot. Take her class, you wont ever regret it.
Excellent prof! Highly recomend taking courses with her. She knows the subject and always ready to answer questions and explains material well.
Best prof at York
Very nice professor who cares. Clear instructor. Tests are fair. Cant go wrong with this prof!
The way she explains material, a monkey could configure. Shes awesome.
One of the best profs in York. Had her before in ECON 1000 and it was amazing.
Had Colby for Econ1000 in Winter 2018 and she was honestly one of my favourite profs at York. Keep up the amazing work!
One of the most amazing and coherent lecturers at York University. She makes the course material easy to understand. Also, her post-class Kahoots were always fun. Highly recommend for Econ 1000 and 1010.
My favourite professor so far. She is an amazing lecturer and actually interacts with the student as much as she can and makes the point she is trying to convey super super clear. If she had a class at 3AM, I would take it , seriously.
She is a real Gem! Keep doing you Professor, I appreciate your passion!
She is great at explaining the concepts in ECON 1000 and makes it easy to understand.
Honestly makes class fun, especially with this Kahoots! Really nice way of checking your knowledge whilst being challenged. Awesome professor!
The professor is a lot harder in this course than in introductory economics courses. The TA marked the tests and exams really hard. I felt if there was a different TA the course may have been easier. The tests, as usual, she gives you just enough to complete it which is what I prefer honestly. I would suggest only taking if you need this course.
Gordana Colby is one of the kindest and most understanding professors Ive met. She really goes the extra mile to help out her student and also teaches with great clarity. Its a privilege to be her student and anyone would be lucky to have her as a prof.
She's the only good econ prof. For students that learn better on their own, I'd highly recommend not wasting your time and going to class, and instead just read the lecture slides and do the study plan/quiz at home on your own time. Tests are identical to the questions on the test banks. Ask upper year students for the test banks, you'll be good.
I never took econ before and failed the first test because I didn't have the resources (test banks) and underestimated it. She's one of the best econ profs, but it's easy to fall behind. Do the study plan and quizzes each week right when you get home from lecture. Study the test banks.
This is the first time I have ever seen marks being scaled down at YorkU. This is really shameful, O hope that she understands that she cannot do this.
If you you learn best by yourself, she's the professor for you! She will read the Pearson provided powerpoints in the lecture. Her insinuation of academic dishonesty during and after tests is disrespectful, considering some students actually do study and work hard. Have the test banks, you'll do well as the exam structure is MCQ.
Unfortunately, this professor was very unaccommodating during the Covid-19 pandemic. Many students felt uncomfortable by the online proctoring service that was going to be used for our online final exam since it's so invasive (it requires a knuckle scan, room scan, and it has access to your computer screen).
You can get an easy A by doing the readings and some practice questions. Her lectures are more of a summary and they simplify the concepts. The kahoot quizzes made the long lectures a little bearable. However, the lack of flexibility and empathy during the pandemic made things stressful.
Colby's not a bad lecturer but unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic really brought out her bad side. She was not understanding or empathetic towards the students' situation and introduced online proctoring for our exams which is a breach of our privacy and overtly invasive. Very disappointed.
She's actually pretty good at lecturing and making the course information interesting. However, her lack of responsiveness and empathy during the Corona pandemic is just causing the students to have unnecessary stress. The proctoring service that is going to be used is highly invasive and requires an unnecessary amount of personal info.
Gordana Colby is the definition of an inconsiderate, inflexible professor. During the COVID-19 pandemic, every prof was very accommodating and was actively responding to our concerns. She was the only one that went out of her way to make sure students were even more stressed during this already stressful time. I'm honestly so disappointed in her.
Made huge effort to proctor the exam- which turned into a fiasco. Is extremely naive/superficial to try & implement something like this in 1 week. So exam was made in revengeful way. I was better prepared for econ1000 exam, yet got a lower mark. Can be very disrespectful to students. Must remember that we all pay tuition & some are very hardworking
Test bank prof, but explained things clearly in lecture and went really slow. Sometimes annoying, but repetition helps when copying down notes. If you learn well on your own, skip and study cause she just uses Pearson slides. Don't write it off as a bird course; you actually have to learn the material to do well and it's really easy to fall behind.
During Covid this course was a mess. However, under normal circumstances, she's usually the best option and really caring. If you actually spend time learning the material, you're going to do well. Heads up, it's a little harder than ECON1000 and she'll skip ch 1-3, which means you'll have to learn demand/supply by yourself if you didn't take 1000.
His lecture is very clear and quite fair.
Very nice person but crooked when it comes to the grading scheme. suggest not to take really was nicer for intro econ. i suggest not to take her classes for upper ears. goes over the top to try and proctor all the time online with webcams. no chill from her in COVID
worst elective, you have to put so much effort as if its a core course... waste of my semester
Will take the time to help you if you have questions, or want to meet one on one.
She is caring and friendly. The seminar was fun and it made the textbook easier to understand.
Straight to the point, and tries to accommodate the best she can. I don't understand the hate she's getting. During COVID they implemented a system that involves staying up-to-date with all the assignments. It's a little tedious if you're expecting to not do much but if you read the course announcement and finish the work you'll get an A
You can get an A if you do all weekly homework. Those weekly lecture modules are 1% each (total 10%) if you finish watching the whole video and up to 20% if you participate in her 45-minute iClicker lecture. That literally is 30% easy mark. The tests, quizzes and final exam are 70% similar to study plan practices and sample tests.
She clearly goes over ideas learned the prior week, allows adequate time for questions, and joins in the lighthearted conversations in the chat.
Practice quizzes and tests would be made easy and the actual tests and quizzes were made extremely difficult
Even if you do all the practice quizzes the tests and the actual quizzes, tests, and exam will have questions you've never seen before. I will say this tho, the course is very organized. The Tests are what will tank ur mark so beware of that. This prof is good tho overall so ur blessed if u get her.
Overall bird course if you just do weekly readings and pay attention and follow schedule. Textbook heavy since must read a chapter every week but not hard content. Participation matters tutorial iclicker questions (big chunk of mark). Gordana is great at explaining concepts & topics you are confused on & at answering any qs you have.
Professor Colby is very interactive and knows how to explain the various concepts of economics. She would often play clips from The Office and explain the related concepts. She replies via email in a timely manner and is very accommodating. I hated economics before I took this course. I love it now.
She is well versed with the subject and explains everything concisely in the tutorials. Loved the course. Also, she used The Office clips to explain certain concepts, it was absolutely amazing.
ECON1010 with Professor Colby was great! She comes across as stern, but fair. However, the practice exams are very different from the final tests/exam. The recorded lectures did not keep my attention. If you put in the effort, you can do well in this class. The textbook is the key resource, but MEL quizzes/questions help. I learned a lot.
Professor Colby is amazing especially if it is your first time taking ECON. She is very helpful. This course however relies on many lecture and you'll have to do a lot of quizzes and two tests and a final exam. The textbook is unnessecary because the lectures are very thorough and explain everything in the textbook.
Professor Colby is a great individual on her own. I find her respectful. But this has to be one of the most horribly organized courses at YorkU. The textbook is unnecessary because the lectures are very thorough and explain everything in the textbook. I would never take a course that was organized so terribly again.
- Is she nice? Patient, responsive, it's a student-tailored course. Strict on deadlines but they're fair deadlines. - Well-taught? Course is basically automated but her summaries are very good and easy to understand. - Easy Grade? Only need like 3-5 hrs/week, very breezy course. Not much about remarking though.
Good prof.
Interesting and clear speaker/lecturer. In her lectures, some examples she uses are also not directly from the textbook or the lecture videos (unlike some of the other profs) so we can have a better understanding of the concepts.
just do the work and you will do good
had her only for tutorials. nice and gives decent summaries with some pop culture references for entertainment and retention. kinda mean during exams but its understandable
She is the best!
Prof. Colby was really kind during tutorials, but the course itself is extremely disorganized. The textbook is unnecessary as everything is explained thoroughly during lecture modules. There are a lot of quizzes that need to be completed which are helpful for midterms and finals.
