Mr. Whitman is the best professor I've had at TCC. He's a great guy and a pretty good instructor.

I took his psych 235 online and it was so easy. An easy A. He is very quick in response to emails. If you have any questions at all he is willing to help. He does take everything straight from the book. All we had was a mid term and final, write ups once a week and an easy paper. Take him! He's good.

A great teacher, but I had to go through a grade appeal, because the grading scale was wrong, but other then that very nice man, and is willing to help, he answers e-mails and helps you the best way he can. I would recommend for an online class.

I've never been so happy to show up to an 8am class. He is funny and incredibly smart. He'll do what it takes to make sure you remember the material, whether it be drooling on his tie or dancing on his desk. He's all about his students. Plus, everything is open book and open note.

Took Mr. Whitman online and I highly recommend him! He's a very caring teacher and his class is NOT hard! He recommends face to face lecture but if you do well in online classes, it's no problem.

His online class was great and he gives you a chance to come into the school and study for the final. He really wants you to get a good grade and it shows.

He will help you as long as you are willing to learn. I took psy before and had to drop it because it was just TOO hard.... then i took him and i understood everything and got a B. If you get an A on the final you get an A in the class... and the test are a little hard but if you talk your time they are not that bad... Im taking him now for psy202

He is an amazing teacher. He keeps you interested in the class. He is so funny as well. He is not boring. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to take psychology. I am taking his 202 class in the spring but I wish he taught more than just PSY 201 and 202.

Since the first day of class, he has been good at getting his students to think; which is a good thing. Having a persona similar to Dr. Gregory House(tv) made the class more entertaining.

His is amazing! He is funny and he does act like HOUSE. You don't really use the book. 95% you learn from him verbally talking. Do the SONA's that the only extra credit you will get and it will help you in the end. You have 4 test plus the final. the 4 test are open book. and the final not that hard. GREAT TEACHER I would recommend him to any body

I did this class on-line and came to the final exam review. I WISH now I would have taken this with him in a class. He is HILARIOUS and interesting and helpful. If I had to take another PSY class I would definately make sure I took it in his classroom.

I took him in class for the summer this guy is to much for TV. There is never a dull moment in his lecture. You dont need to purchase a book bc all of his test are from his notes word for word and all test are open book except for the final which he reviews before hand this class was an easy GPA booster :)

Professor Whitman made PSY a very fun subject this semester. Made alot of jokes to lighten the mood everyday but most importantly, made sure that you learned the material. GREAT TEACHER FOR PSY230 - online. Weekly Dbs, 1 research paper, midterm and final. The midterm and final are open notes/ open book which can be taken in blackboad. The hardest part was the research paper which is only b/c i hate writing but I received the full amount of points possible on my paper. He's wonderful!

This was the best class I've had at TCC. The stress level was low, and you learn at the same time. Professor Whitman has a laid back style that will make a summer class like a walk in the park. If you don't get an "A", you seriously are not college material. I will definitely take what I learned, and use it for my personal and professional life.

Hands down best teacher ever! I took Psy 201 in class and it was easy! His tests are based half on book and half on notes (although I felt like they were mainly on notes). He's very helpful and will answer any question you have. Plus he's funny and keeps everyone intrigued and laughing. Also took Psy 230 online and its suuuuper easy!

Mr. Whitman is the best psychology teacher you could ever have! Do not buy the textbook because he does not use it! He uses the NOC which he posts on BB for you to print out. The notes on the point point slides are all you will need for the test! Sign up for him!

Professor Whitman was awesome, I took his class online and it was very easy. All of the comments by other students make me wish I had taken him in person! Online we had a weekly write up, 1 research paper, a midterm and a final. I didn't ever need to email him much but when I did he was always responded quickly.

Best PSY professor EVER!! I took this course online for the summer semester & it worked out Perfect! Assignments are clearly stated in the syllabus, including discussion board questions, 1 term paper & 2 exams.. Easy A!! Dont hesitate..

This professor is tough, but that what really makes you work for that AB grade. He offers tons of help when needed. His lectures are very well presented. You will get a lot out of his class if you DO WORK.

His online class is really easy. Weekly Blackboard posts and you have to reply to at least two other students. Both mid-term & final are 50 MC questions & I found all the answers in the book. Never read a single chapter. One paper and it wasn't very long. I would def. recommend his class. He's awesome.

I took Whitman for Psy 201... Easy class just go to class and you will pass he gives the answers to the tests every Thursday before its due... Great Guy!

Very lovely teacher, I loved him because he always kept me laughing. Just show up to class, he gives the answeres every Thursday before the test. A good thing but bad thing because people will just show up a Thursday before the test and that's it.

If you don't pass this class with an A, you should not be able to live on earth. Easiest A I've ever had. I took it online. Weekly discussion boards he puts up at the very beginning so you can essentially do them all in the first week if you want to get it over with. Midterm& final straight from the book, get it and you'll pass with flying colors.

Come to class, participate and you'll get an A. His teaching style is different but easy to follow along. Don't need the book if you just pay attention. After a few weeks he doesn't take attendance but you should still come because he teaches from the test. Great guy!

Seriously, best class I have ever taken. Also the easiest class, extremely helpful with tests and the final test. Very funny and definitely a professor I am taking again. Sided note: You don't need the textbook for this class, it's a good tool to have but not necessary.

made my psy 101 class the most interesting class to attend during my first semester, he is very knowledgeable in his subject and it makes you want to learn more about psychology, in fact i wouldn't mind taking psy 202 with him. Over all a great professor.

I've had this professor in the class room and online, he's awesome and fair. Participate, do the assignments and come to class and you'll get a good grade. He provide feedback and grades papers in a timely matter. You cannot go wrong, I'll take him again given the opportunity.

Professor Whitman was great to work with! I took his class online and he followed the syllabus to a T, weekly quizzes taken directly from the chapters, there is a research paper which I received 120/100 points for, there are weekly discussions as well which are a cinch to complete, definitely recommend him if you need Dev Psy for Nursing.

He is honestly a great teacher HOWEVER he is very inconsistent. He has 2 mandatory papers (APA) with the possibility of 20 extra credit points each but they are HARD DUE at midterm. I recently discovered that Some people have been turning in papers late and he graded them. I would recommend you to do them early. He is very OPINIONATED.

Professor Whitman required 2 papers that can be submitted in advance. Students normally take a quiz and test both once a week. He enjoys class participation and engaging with students. The class is fairly simple. All you really need to do is show up to class and try not to miss quizzes (Can't be made up). Tests are done in class together.

He's a very easy going and not hard to get along with. He really cares about his students and will do anything to make sure you pass his class. Make sure you are in class so you can get all your points to get your easy A.

I took his class online and it was very easy. His syllabus is very clear and you can complete his quizzes and discussion boards in advance. He requires one paper (no word count necessary) and that was explanatory. His quizzes are not hard at all, neither his midterm or final.

Awesome professor. All you have to do to get an A is listen and do what he asks. You have two papers and if you turn them in early, you get extra credit. We are 11 weeks in and I have over 100 points extra credit. Many other students I've talked to who don't have an A is because they either didn't turn in a paper or they didn't show up for class.

This teacher has you do one essay that if handed in early will count as extra credit. I loved his teaching style and would recommend anyone to take his class.

Mr Whitman knows his stuff and he has passion for what he is doing. I made an A+ and i am taking him again this summer. Do yourself good by taking him.

Professor Whitman is a jokester! If you can't handle a lecture filled with jokes then I don't recommend his class. There are quizzes every week as well as a test. He assigns two papers which are due by the midterm and if you turn them in early he gives you extra credit. I would highly recommend his class. I am also taking him for another Psy class.

If you have to take Developmental Psychology, do yourself a favor and take it with Professor Whitman. He provides very clear instructions and grading criteria. You can complete assignments ahead. If you don't get an A it's your own fault.

This is by far a great teacher. You have a weekly test and quiz but he helps you along the way so no surprises. As stated before he is a character so be prepared but its in a good way. He is passionate about psy and it shows. Its impossible to fail this class unless YOU choose not to care. Turn in your 2 papers before due date for extra credit.

Professor Whitman was an amazing teacher. He gives clear instruction and you are able to work ahead (online class). If you have any concerns, email him and he will get back to you ASAP. You will have to write one paper for this class and have to do one Capstone project. I highly recommend this professor!

Professor Whitman's Developmental Psychology class is by far one of the easiest classes I have taken. Read the chapters, do the quizzes/exams (which he allows multiple attempts). Discussion boards are based off personal opinions and research, not necessarily off the chapters & you do not have respond to classmates. Easiest A I've ever gotten!

class taken online: 2 "projects", 16 total quizzes, 1 final, 1 midterm, about 10 short DBs all answers found in textbook. very easy class make sure to keep up with deadlines. all work is posted at beginning of semester except for 2nd project and midterm and final. complete work on time and you will get an A.

He told us you need the textbook to earn an A but he gives you study guides that give you the answers straigh up. Very funny, very helpful, and very easy if you show up to every class. I wish all teachers were like him.

Whitman is a funny guy who is clearly very passionate about psychology. LITERALLY, just show up and write down the notes that he writes down on the board and you will pass with an A. For PSY101, he gives one research paper, a midterm, a final, and weekly quizzes. The midterm, final, and all weekly quizzes are take home, so they are super easy.

If you want to get an easy A, you need to take Professor Whitman. I took his class online and he opened up the entire semester and you were able to work ahead. For the quizzes, he gives you multiple chances to redo it. Following the quiz, he gives you the correct answers allowing you to retake and get an 100. Take this professor!!!!

Prof Whitman is definetly an easy A. I've been told by my peers that he's even better in person. Highly recommend that you take his class. He unlocked all the discussions and quizzes so you could really do them at your own pace, and just finish before the class is up.

Whitman is totally unique. He's WILD and crazy, so loveable. You will laugh through the class, and will NOT make less than a 100% unless you TRY to fail. No textbook needed. Unlimited attempts for quizzes. Recommend you take heavy notes because Whitman tends to use his own language on midterm/exam. Just write what is on the board! He's great!

Gordon Whitman is an asset to the Psychology Department at TCC. His class was stress-free and able to learn the material. If you complete the work, you will most definitely pass.

I would take this class 100x more. You have a paper, powerpoint, and quiz due each week but they're very manageable. He made me thoroughly enjoy this class and has an infectious personality. I truly loved having him as a prof. He is what all teachers should aim to be. Grades by completion not accuracy.
