I took Physics in high school and this class was a thousand times easier. I showed up two days a week, got done with the labs in 45 minutes and never took notes or read the book and I got over 100% in the class. If you are looking for an easy lab science this is it. P.S. He is a VERY good teacher.

Somehow it is easy to get a good grade. Weird because he is the most unorganized teacher in the world, his tests have little to do with lectures, labs, or practice tests. Keep all your papers and check all your grades to his grade reports and it should be relatively easy.

Worst professor I've ever taken. Canvas page is extremely cluttered. Assigns tons of homework every week, dozens of the hardest questions on the book. Not responsive to emails. He writes his own exams, which are full of errors and missing information that make some problems impossible to solve. Physics is made 3x harder by him.

Prof Grey was very inconsiderate. My lab partners and I worked very hard every week and every lab and assignment was picked apart for us simply following the directions given. Everything on Canvas was EXTREMELY disorganized and unhelpful and he took a long time to answer back emails. I would never recommend this class to anyone.

Professor Grey pretends like he cares but doesnt respond to emails at all. Class was extremely boring and lacked any real teaching. Most of class was spent trying to explain something that would have taken 5 minutes to explain. Canvas was super unorganized and labs were extremely unorganized as well.

Gothard Grey is extremely disorganized and overcomplicates everything he teaches. I went from scoring an A in Phys 241 with Nicoletta Sharp to barely keeping a B- in his classes. The homework was often lengthy and had problems we had not seen. If you have a lot of free time you wish to spent watching extra lectures and doing hw, he is your guy.

Canvas setup is disorganized. Labs are tedious. Did not enjoy observation log at all. It's cloudy here except for Summer! Grades kind of harsh. He seems like a nice guy though and will help out during labs. A better Canvas setup, improving some Labs, and scraping the observation log entirely would make for a good class.

I had Gothard Grey 12 years ago for the physics series. I'm back in school and he's still my favorite teacher. He is superior at keeping things engaging/interesting, he cares/has passion for what he does. He spent hours on Fridays tutoring me in trigonometry. The simpletons rating him as awful are likely subpar and lack imagination and vision.

The information this professor provides is outdated; it all applies to Covid times where everything was completely remote. With that being said, you can't find the information you need to be successful on Canvas because the majority of it is no longer accurate. That leaves you to speak to him to answer questions, and he doesn't reply quickly.

Gothard is absolutely amazing, me and my friends are taking his class and he's absolutely lovely and even a jolly ol' fellow (reminds me of Santa in a way). The only problem is canvas organization but he's completely understanding and will let you take a quiz if you missed it if you talk to him. He will also give extra credit on quizzes.

This class was a whirlwind for me. As many others have mentioned, the class canvas is severely disorganized and that becomes more evident why once you peer into his office through zooms. I found his labs to be super confusing and many times his lectures didn't clear that uncertainty up if one even happened to be attached. Just beware that's all.

You have to go to class to do the some of labs because you need materials that are only accesible in class. The canvas was disorganized but you'll figure it out after awhile. He is very lenient with late work and will let you turn in a lab late if needed. Not the most frustrating class I've taken but not an easy A either.

Gothard is the nicest professor you will ever meet; he's just too smart to teach an intro physics class. The tests are difficult, but you only need to get 50% on them to get an A. Most people get lost in his lectures because he drills into some pretty complicated proofs that can be difficult to understand

I took him for the whole set and if you get past the first quarter, I think you'll be able to get through the next 2 even though they're harder concepts. The HW and his lectures are more conceptual-based which is something you have to get used to. I liked that he was understanding and willing to give chances for everybody. Physics was stressful.

Gothard is wonderful, albeit disorganized. He's helpful if you ask questions. Sometimes his explanations are confusing but if you need clarification he will go in depth. He's also super flexible with due dates and not a harsh grader. He wants you to pass you just have to show him you care, he does his best to give you points where he can.

In person lectures are great. Lenient grader and desires to help students succeed understand the material. But, Canvas is disorganized, and video lectures are long winded. However, he explains the underlying reason for a physics observation, not just giving you the equation. Homework is purposeful (no busy work). Great teacher, 1000% recommend!!!!

He has really lenient grading and wants his students to learn and improve. But you'll struggle if you don't communicate with him (he's a lil disorganized) - so communicate! He'll do his best to help. Also, due dates aren't strict - just go along with the pace of his classes and you'll be fine. on Oct 31st he came dressed up as a wizard, lol
