She is very intelligent, keeps the class interested. Makes you very comfortable. Definitely worth coming in at 6:30-9:10pm - wish there were more teachers like her

very straight-forward, as long as you have good notes you will do fine, drops the lower of 2 tests during the term.

She's very clear and places emphasis on the topics that appear on the exam. Exams are 50 multiple choice questions. They come 75% from her class and 25% from the text. Take notes and browse the book and an A is comming your way.

The best professor I've had so far! Gets the work done in an easy manner usually before schedule and encourages class participation. Tests were easy and pertained to class lecture. Wish I could have her for all my classes!

Really knows her stuff. No non-sense teaching style. She tells you in the beginning that you will remember what she taught you and you do. I took a similar class with an unclear professor 3 years later and remembered everything she taught me. Very interesting and smart person.

This is the best professor - lectures are very clear and straightforward. He stories make it easy to relate to course material. One thing....BEWARE of the group paper worth 30% of your grade. If you don't mind that, she is the best!

I took her for the counceling process, and shes as great as professors get, shes extremly clear and helpful. She gives a review sheet before the test and its all on the test. There is a paper which is 30% but its not hard at all. She also drops the lower of 2 grades and gives a non cumalitive final...this class was great!!

I love, love, LOVE her! She's a great teacher and a wonderful person! No homeworks for this course except reading. There is a GROUP term project worth 30% of your final grade. It's the easiest and most fun course I had in a while. Tests are very fair. You'll learn a lot and have a great time! Professor Ribaudo is the greatest. And she's funny, too!

She is an amazing teacher. Very real, genuine..she speaks from the heart, and she cares. She also gives incredible review sheets for EVERY test. I highly recommend her for any and EVERY class you can take. She is brilliant!!

I almost feel guilty learning so much in a class so easy. It seemed like you had to put more effort into doing poorly. Professor Ribaudo's the real deal: smart, dedicated and goes out of her way to help.

I've take her more than once because of her willingness to be thorough and helpful. Se integrates real-life issues and personal experience to clarify issues without ever going off on tangents that are not applicable to the class. She knows her stuff and wants her students to "get it" as well.

I wouldn't say that this teacher is easy but I will say that she is fare. This is a beautiful professor I've been in 2 of her classes and I'm looking forward to taking her class again whenever schedule permits.

Very fair professor, very interesting class, there will be 2 exams and one out of two will be droped, she gives an outstanding rewiev sheet before each exam, there also a term paper which consist of five parts and divided between 5 group members,so basicaly one person write 2-3 pages paper and a final exam.I recomend to take proff. Ribaudo!

easy class if you pay a lot of attention in class and take lots of notes. dont need textbook really. overall fun class, not too hard, and great teacher - i highly recommend it

This is one awesome professor. I wanted to take another one of her classes but it closed quickly, that's how good she is. Take good notes & you'll do fine. This class is very enjoyable & you'll definately learn a lot. She's one of the best professors in the Psych dept. Her exams are easy if you study. I definately recommend taking her class !!!!!

She is very fair! Like the previous comment, she gives 2 tests with the lowest grade dropped, a mid term, final and a paper. I stuggled in the beginning but in the end, went home with an B+! Highly recommended!

You should read the assigned chapter upfront, participate in the class, write a nice paper and you will get an A. She is a good professor!

I took Counseling class and Childhood Disorders (similar to Abnormal), both classes are easy, she is clear whats on and whats not on the test. If you take notes just go over them, tests are straighforward from what she said in the lecture, no tricks. One paper which was fairly easy. If you want to have fun and get an A easily- take her.

She's an amazing professor, she is clear about what she wants. She's funny and keeps lectures interesting. I would take her again. Class NOTES help a lot.

Professor Ribaudo is such a sweet professor. She gives interesting lectures and posts the slides on the board so that students can concentrate on what she is saying while having the notes. She is really clear and specific about what will be on the exam and there are no surprises in her class. She engages the students and motivates them to achieve.

Prof. Ribaudo is an asset to the psychology department. One of the best professor in brooklyn college. Lectures are very interesting, topics are relevant. Content covered at very reasonable speed, all questions are answered(not rushed thru). The professor is very experienced in the field which makes her class exceptional as she makes it relevant!

If you want to learn the material this class is not for you. She spends most of class discussing things that don't have anything to do with the material. That being said it's an easy B+ course. She gives 2 tests (drops the lowest) and a final. No papers. Her test is easy. Her final is a bit hard

That said, I'm not a fan of her grading system. 3 tests, one of the first two get dropped. They're easy enough, but it's not for me. Prof. Ribaudo makes class interesting because she has practical experience working with marginalized, at-risk and offender populations. She is compassionate with her students and speaks compassionately about the youth that she works with outside of BC (youth prison). She learns your name and gets to know her students. Truly a wonderful professor!

She is beyond amazing

due to her experience as a psychologist she comes to class with a lot of real world experience which adds interest to her classes. she is funny and engaging as a professor and i would definitely recommend her. she does not give too much works it is 3 test plus some small homework projects

Great teacher. Straight forward and to the point. 3 tests. 1st and 2nd are 40% but between the two, lowest is dropped. 3rd, the final, 60%. She's very stubborn at times, and will dismiss you for no reason. But she is kind, and is available more than most. Great class to take for a night class. Always ends early.

Professor Ribaudo is a great professor. Her exams are really easy if she take good notes which isn't hard since she lets your take pictures of her lecture slides. She always gives a review of exactly what is on her exams. 2 exams and the lowest gets dropped, 1 essay based on a chapter in the textbook and a final. Tells you exactly what is needed!

She is a very good professor. However, she can be very harsh at times. Just depends on her mood and the day. She has a bit of an attitude and kind of brushes people off when they participate. She give 2 exams and a final. With the 2 exams she drops the lowest score. She also gives an essay. She teaches you a lot. Very informative!

Was harsh in the way she speaks sometimes, she has embarrassed people. But I loved her lectures they were interesting and she explains things well and uses anecdotes which help a lot! The tests were long but easy just study and pay attention. Also she is very strict about using APA format for her paper, she will deduct points for using it wrong.

One of the best professors at Brooklyn! Really interesting lectures and you get to learn a lot from her. Follows the syllabus and doesn't throw any curveballs. Only 3 tests, an article critique, and a final. It really helped that she made her class asynchronous, but there's an optional meeting time in which you can ask your questions. Take her!!!

JUST COME AND LISTEN! Her class is very interesting and she only tests on what she teaches. No textbooks. Come, listen, take notes, and study. You're guaranteed an A with just a little effort. I gained a lot from the class. Highly recommend!!!

Four exams (non-cumulative) and one paper. Paper is easy: answer some questions based on a movie. If you pay attention during lecture and take notes, exams are easy. She genuinely wants us to learn and do well so she is willing to work with you. The content is fascinating. Take her!!!

Three exams, including the final. Solely based on lecture material, so be sure to review your notes. She records all lectures, but you should still attend class since participation is 10% of your grade. Content is very relatable and interesting; the professor really cares about us doing well and understanding the material.

my fav psychology class at Brooklyn College. As a pre-med majoring in psychology, my experience in this class helped me solidify my career interest as a psychiatrist. This professor has all the traits needed for great one. Her lectures are incredibly engaging, as she makes the material relatable and simple to understand. Her exams are fair; just study her chapter notes well enough, and you will do fine on them. She's also really efficient: Give her your exams and term paper and she'll grade them the next day.

She is by far one of my favorite professors. Her lectures are so interesting and whatever you learn is what will be on the quizzes there aren't any pop up questions. If you read her slides or pay attention in class you'll do good in the quizzes. She doesn't give any assignments only one topic paper.

Professor Ribaudo is great. She grades on only a few things and everything is very straightforward. The tests are very manageable if you stick to the study guide she gives, and the material is directly from the PowerPoint notes she has available on blackboard. She's also passionate about what she teaches and I found her to be very inspirational.

One of my favorite professors at Brooklyn College. The class is very interactive because she teaches by sharing her real world experience and acting out scenarios. Although attendance is not required, you would be doing yourself a disservice by skipping this lecture. Everything you need is pass the exams is in her notes, too.

Ribaudo has great stories from her career. My favorite part of class was when she would roleplay a counseling scenario with a student. It didn't happen often, but it felt like a little taste of grad school. Not hard, but not an easy A. No nonsense, but kind at the same time. Overall great prof.
