very good teacher, overall. if you have any questions he will go out of his way to answer them and show you how he got to the answer. its a tough class, but any physics class is. my only complaint is that he talks a lot. he will tell the class that he's just going to take 5 minutes to explain a concept at the beginning of lab, but go on for 45 min.

By far, the best physics teacher I have had. He enjoys teaching and is quite talkative, but he just wants to make sure you get everything. He will actually do some mastering physics problems in class, which helps a lot. His test weren't that bad, but you have to study. Finally he is an absolute nerd, but that just made the class more entertaining.

Hardest prof I ever had. Kissed his butt all semester, and he made some promises about lifting my grades but never delivered. Spoke like a theoretical physics nerd would in a way you can't understand. As a sophomore with a background in physics, this guy tanked my 4.0 GPA. Nice guy but horrible prof.

AVOID!!!! Heavy on the tough grader, free response grading on tests is an absolute joke, will take off points for the stupidest things. His teaching style is horrible, it is mainly just him working the homework which is not helpful. Up to 30% of points you missed on the test back (up to 12) which is nice, but doesn't help much. Avoid if you can.

Grady is by far the worst teach I have had, I wouldn't even call him my professor. His "lectures" consisted of going through slides halfheartedly, and telling the class how to do the homework. Even after studying 3 hours a day, and going through the slides, homework, and textbook. The problems I saw on the test were completely new to me. STAY AWAY!

Avoid at all costs. He quite literally does not care about his students whatsoever. Reads right of slides without any personal input, and wastes so much class time going over useless info, then complains that we're behind. Grades tests VERY hard. I Q-dropped then went with professor Susan Hallman, actually learned and got an A, take her instead.

Just overall a hard professor. The lectures are helpful, but still don't fully cover everything needed for the homework's/exams. His grading on exams is horrible, if you do not give him the exact thing he is looking for the answer will be wrong. TAKE A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR IF YOU CAN.

Tough grader. Basically screwed me out of a B on a test because I "didn't show enough work" despite getting it correct. You'll mostly always have an assignment you could work on outside of class. Sometimes he'll push back assignments, don't bank on it though. He'll make things seem wayy more complicated than they are cuz he goes super deep.

Horrible professor. Lectures go too in-depth on the topic, leaving you questioning what you need to know for exams. If you do not do the question the way he likes, he will take off points on a question even if you choose the right answer. The lab part of the class is very easy.

I cannot say enough, do not take him!! He is so strict on grading and wastes class time going over homework we had already done. His labs are graded very strictly, which sometimes we didn't have time to complete because he spent most of it talking about unnecessary topics. The homework on Pearson can be easy but his tests are difficult.

Don't even think about taking his course. The labs were graded very harshly for the smallest reasons. Takes up most of the class and lab time talking about homework problems, sometimes he will take up to 30 minutes talking about just one homework problem. Also not the best to contact outside of class either. Would never recommend.

Too much time is spent redoing known formulas instead of practicing real problems. The class tone feels tense, making it hard to ask questions despite encouragement. We're behind, grading is unclear, and tests feel disconnected. Deadline flexibility is the main positive.

He is amazing prof. a little awkward but a chill guy so long as you are respectful. Willing to help if you ask. Only snapped a handful of times because other students were disrespectful and talked during lecture. He was very helpful to my group.

Any opportunity that there is to deduct points off of a free response question on an exam will be capitalized on. Hard to lose track of during lecture. Generally hard to take notes during lecture. Lots of individual files and bouncing around during lectures doesn't help. Genuinely a good guy. Smart and likes teaching. TLDR: don't recommend.

He's a really tough grader good luck on the frqs, other than that he's decent, lectures go over the homework but they're kind of all over the place. This is a hard class so take the bad reviews with a grain of salt but an A is very hard to achieve. if you're okay with a B he's a decent prof but don't go out of your way to take him.

I would avoid this guy at any cost. I had previously taken AP Physics I and AP Physics C so my foundations on Physics were great but this guy grades really hard and if you don't do it his way, he will take a lot of points off despite if your answer is correct or not. And his FRQs make up a majority of his exam. He also may not show to office hours.

Hendricks is a good guy. Take bad reviews with a grain of salt because I know for a fact a majority of my class just didn't pay attention nor show up to lecture. Physics is a hard course and I failed it in high school but I managed to get an A in this class so he must be doing something right. He does grade test heavy.

Physics as a class is difficult, but this prof does not make it any easier. His tests are graded super heavily - MCQs are worth about 70% of the exams. They are definitely more 'stretch' based questions so you absolutely have to understand the concepts not just the formulas and homework problems. If you're stuck with him, good luck!

Considering this was a summer online course, Dr. Hendricks was a good professor. His online coursework was very organized and all his material was posted at the beginning of the course so you could do a lot of material review whenever you please. There was lots of homework and the tests/quizzes weren't easy. Honestly, it was just ok.

Took this class online to transfer to A&M. His lectures were made by him and reflective of exam content. It was 3-4 chapters/homeworks a week(10-15 questions each). Not a blow off course. Same textbook and chapters as A&M 207. If you dont pick up on phys concepts easy, not the best prof. Exams are not that bad; extra credit back for corrections.
