Inteligent, samrt, sexy, gret sense of humer. the best teacher ever !!!

Brilliant! Not an easy class to score marks in, but never dull. Bowbrick is an empassioned human being.

At first he seemed a bit intimidating yet Graeme is actually a really nice guy. His classes are interesting and he encourages you to question and think critically about matters. Doesn't beat around the bush.

He is a great teacher who is very passionate about what he does. He explains everything in great detail and gives you exam hints throughout the course. Though his class is tough it is well worth it.

Fantasitc teacher. Comes prepared to class and his lecures are very interesting. If you attend his classes you don't need to read the book. His exams are based on his lectures. Tough marker though, watch out for plagiarism and internet sources (he checks)

Great teacher. Once was the attorney general of BC and can give clear examples to relate the course material better. Encourages discussion in class, easy to approach, approachable. Attend all classes, exams based on class notes only.

Great teacher, great class, definately take his courses if you can. His tests are easy if you go to class and read the chapters. He looks for a lot in the paper, so you need to work hard on it.

Great Teacher!!! His tests are easy as long as you attend all of his classes and pay attention to lectures. Term papers are not too bad either, he marks those a little harder but oh well. A text book in his class is not that necessary.

he's a good teacher. dont be scared to ask him questions if your not clear on something. tests are easy if you take good notes. paper is hard if you procrastinate.

I after a second course with this guy, I must say that he’s EXTREMELY ARROGANT & CONDESCENDING, much like the epitome of a stereotypical lawyer. Graeme is good as an instructor but it’s hard to bear with his attitude.

Good teacher. His past experience as the BC Attorney General definitely increases his credibility in his teaching. His notes are very orgnized as well.

Bowbrick is a good teacher, I have no idea where the person got the idea that he is arrogant. He gives good lectures and notes, so just make sure you get the notes and you'll be fairly well off. Thanks for a great Crim 160 Graeme from the guys in the back row of your 8am class.

Graeme is THE best teacher in douglas from what i know. Classes are excellent, his notes are so great cause he speaks from experience. I love his political comments, class and tests are easy!!!!!! Paper is demanding but he will help and make everything clear. NO TEXT BOOKS NEEDED! crim 160, 2261

Mr.Bowbrick is deserving of enormous respect,I've already commented, but must mention again how wonderful it has been to have had him as a professor.. if there were rules as to how to make it to such a list, he would be the most prominent example... he's very easy on the eyes as well.thanxurhotbaby!

I wish there were more teachers like this at Douglas, one of the highlights of attending Douglas for the last two years! He was the AG of BC but does not rub it in your face, very humble and is very easy going. Pleasure to have him as a professor!

This guy is awesome. I took his class in the summer thinking, how the hell will I make it to every class. Well I did and I did so well in his class. Well organized, fair, and lively person. If you get a chance, take his class.

He's an excellent speaker. His notes are a bit simple, but he explains everything concisely and clearly. Due to this you wont need to read the badly written and complicated textbook, a bit ignorant of some basic economic and political logic but he is a former NDP minister after all.

I LOVE GRAEME! He's got the most eloquant voice too! His class was very interesting.He's very helpful and he cares unlike many teachers at Douglas.I just wish he taught more classes at Douglas and all teachers were like him.

Very clear and helpful teacher, taking notes and reading your notes on daily bases is critical for success in his class.

Personality and sense of humor are what makes this guy attractive. Lectures are clear, and exams are straight from class notes.Very approachable.

Very interesting teacher. If you do all your homework and study for tests . You should get a decent mark. Would highly recommend .

What are you talking about? Graeme gives nobody no homework! But, i dont know if any student ever fell asleep or got bored in his class. He sure is a great prof. His term paper is hard though but if you work hard, it will be worthwhile. Stick to his notes and use the text just for ref. Keep up the good work Graeme, very very highly recommended.

it was an interesting class. Graeme gives good, clear lectures. However, tests contain written parts which can be kind of tricky. Term paper is a little difficult, but overall the class is good.

Great Prof! He is so energetic and loves what he does. He is very helpful, ask any question and he won't dismiss it or tell you its a pointless question. He'll clarify anything you want. His classes are never boring, and he hardly gave any homework in this course and no term paper. As long as you go to class, you'll be fine.

Graeme is flat out one of the best Crim instructors I have ever taken. Knows his stuff. Lectures are fun and interesting. Has a great sense of humour. I learned a great deal. Attendance is essential b/c his notes are pretty much everything you need. Notes are crystal clear and lectures easy to follow. Paper was difficult and marked a bit tough.

He is a great teacher, and keeps the class involved. It is never boring. Definitely a good teacher.

Douglas College is BLESSED to have such an awesome teacher who knows his stuff so well. His lectures are informative and hilarious. He's great to talk to outside of class, you could ask him anything, he'd never make you feel like a moron. He's also by far the HOTTEST prof in the crim department. He's got this sexy lawyer quality ... very appealing.

Greatest teacher ever! Very clear and concise except for that one class that he went a little off topic... I think he knows what I'm talking about... Very helpful. Ask him anything and he'll give you an answer. I'd take a class with him again whenever I get a chance.

Hard Marker, no paper mid term %40 final %45 other %15 attendance and participation, first half of the class really difficult second half gets little easier; must attend class he will post power point slides on line but all the case examples he just lectures and are critical to the exams

He was my favorite teacher. Gave interesting lectures. The class was two exams and no paper. Didn't use the text book I wouldnt buy it. Take good notes and study them hard so you can put a very developed answer on the exam and you will get an Easy B. But if you don't study you wont do well at all his exams are no joke.

Great teacher, every class was very interesting. Usually spends the first half of the class lecturing and the second half class discussion. He is funny and uses real life current cases to help make his points. One class we spent half an hour discussing Justin Bieber and his legal issues. We did not use the text book once so dont bother buying it.

He is a very knowledgeable teacher. Very hard marker so you really need to study hard if you want to get a good grade from his class. No papers, only midterms (40%) and Finals (45%). The lectures are long but clear. If your interested with crim law then i definitely recommend this teacher.

I took three courses with him. He is very knowledgable about the law and teaches it in an interesting way. He was also the former Attorney General of BC.

Test are very hard, multiple choice are very specific. The course was brand new to the school, so he altered the amounts of which the exams were worth. However, his lectures are very entertaining and easy to follow. No papers or assignments, just participation, midterm, and final. Taking notes about the in class discussions helps ALOT. No textbook!

I have him for 2 classes this semester and had him once a couple years ago. His lectures keep you interested and he tries and succeeds at relating material to class rather than throwing facts at you. Had him substitute for another class and everyone loved his lecture. He's a super hard marker but he teaches well!

Although he is very informative in his lectures, Bowbrick expects too much in his short answer and long answer questions for tests and quizzes. The multiple choice and TF portion of the tests and quizzes are straightforward. Attendance is mandatory and he does not post notes online, you are expected to take your own notes in class

He is a tough guy, but as long as you pay attention and memorized and understand the terms then you should be ok. But his exams are crazy hard! You need to be so specific otherwise he reduce you marks like crazy.

Graeme is the best professor I have ever had. That being said, he is also the hardest. 3 tests adding up to 90% of you grade and they are the hardest I have ever written. His lectures are interesting, and he makes you want to work hard. If you don't try your hardest you will fail miserably. You will learn more in his class than any others.

Graeme means business.. He will call you out if you're sleeping in class, not taking notes, etc. and let you know if your student etiquette isn't at par. Tests are all lecture based, so make sure to write good notes. Does not have slides or provide any. Prepare to study hard & be attentive/listen cause he knows what he teaches.

So Graeme is someone who not everyone will like and get a long with, but if you do get along with him, he is great! This was my second class with him and currently taking my 3rd and in the summer ill be taking my 4th. Super Tough marker, but if you do exactly what he asks you will get a decent mark. I personally love him and do well in his class

He is passionate about his work and his lectures reflect that. The class was test heavy and if you can work hard you will get a good grade. If you are looking to challenge yourself take his class, if you want an easy class, opt out.

If you're looking for a GPA booster, do not take. If you're looking to learn a ton, be challenged and thoroughly enjoy a class, this could be a class for you. Show up to every class, record lectures, take great notes, and dont be afraid to ask questions. Very amazing lecturer, but not an easy class by any stretch.

Took LGST3310 & CRIM3362 with him. Extremely tough marker. He wants you to put in the effort and fully understand the law/know how to analyze it and apply it to a situation. Funny and interesting lectures. Highly recommend LGST3310 when it's offered, such intriguing topics and great class discussions. One of the best crim profs, just do the work.

Anyone who writes negative reviews of this prof is a lazy student. He is by no means easy and I have to always work very hard to do well in his classes but he's exactly how it is in the real world!! If you want a career in government or working in the legal profession, you need to have high standards and that's what he expects. He's the man.

Honestly the most inspirational, as well as the hardest professor I've ever had. He really makes you work for your grade but it pays off and you WILL learn, and won't take anything half-assed. The people complaining are those who don't want to put in the work. There's no textbook which is nice

I'll be honest I've been putting off taking this class because of reviews on here. Boy, was I surprised! Yes, he is tough marker. Yes, you will have to work for your grade. But it was so rewarding to do well and really learn the material. Don't fall asleep, take extra notes on the slides and you should be golden. Looking forward to CRIM3362!

Here is the thing about Graeme... you will get what you put in. He holds you to very high standards and the exams are killer. I busted my butt, literally gave everything I had to his class, and I have never been so proud of a B+. You will work yourself into the ground, but you retain the content, and feel so accomplished. Critical and challenging!

He says that if you don't work for it, you won't get it. You need to be able to do the work to get the grade you want. Plus he is a good reference to have. He is a little tough but everyone needs to have someone like that rather than a spoon feeder sissy. Genuine and makes the course material fun to learn.

You either love Graeme, or hate him. He is very lecture heavy and tough. However, he gives amazing lectures with the use of humour to keep everyone engaged. He truly inspired me to think deeply about what I want to do in my life. If you are struggling, but truly giving your best effort, he will be there for assistance if you reach out to him

Do not be afraid of Graeme or taking one of his classes based on all these bad reviews. He's not nearly as bad as the reviews say. I have taken 3 classes with him now and have done great in all of them. He's not an easy teacher, he expects effort. If you are a good student you will do just fine in his class.

This class was intimidating at first, but boy was I glad to take it. He's a stern man but the 3 hour lectures flee by because he makes them so interesting. No textbooks and overhead notes, you need to take notes on what he says. Open book tests. Learn your content and you'll do fine. He's a great proff, easily one of my faves.

You either love him, or you hate him. I had no choice but to take Graeme and based off previous reviews, I was scared. Come to find out hes honestly not that bad. He is a tough grader and can sometimes sound condescending but he gives zero homework, zero reading, and is actually good at giving lectures. If you care about the topic youll be fine.

Graeme is a passionate teacher, straight to the point and gets it done which is amazing. No textbook just attend lecture and take notes. He's a super fair grader and exams were very fair, if you study you have the potential to do super well. His lectures are interesting and he explains topics in-depth. Would recommend anyone to take 2261 with him!

He was okay, I really enjoyed his lectures they were super interesting! However, sometimes Graeme's responses to questions were a little off putting to me- if someone asked an obvious question, he would laugh and respond in a condescending way. He marks his exams pretty harshly, so make sure you study a lot and you'll be fine.

professor bowbrick is very knowledgeable in his field because he has real life experiences from law that he applies into the classroom. however if you do not attend class, pay attention or take good, extensive notes, it will be very difficult for you to succeed in the assignments and the exams. if you want a good grade, you must work for it.

Super good prof, I honestly didn't do that well but his teaching style is amazing and manages to make a 3 hour lecture manageable. I learnt a lot in this class, more than my others his tests were open book and pretty easy but watch out for the long answers. Other than that he's a great prof and knows how to teach, take the class!
