If you fail this class you are just lazy. He tells you exactly what he expects from you. All you need to do is study the material and his tests are a piece of cake.

good professor. the tests can be kind of tough but to do well on them you just need to take good notes in class and read the chapters. he lets you know what info. will and won't be included on the tests.

Funny professor. Very easy. He will tell you whats on tests, they are basicly from the lectures, and some from book. If you miss a day of class you can easily get caught up by reading.

The class is fairly easy, but that could be b/c he hasn't taught it in a while. He is very clear and tries to take things slow and expects you to know how to do the math and use your calculator. Don't ****him off.

This was my favorite class my first semester. He made everything interesting and was fun to listen to. He made me want to go to class to learn. I became much more interested in the concept of phsychology after his class. Take him, you won't regret it.

This class may be a challenge, but it's a good one. Dr. McLaren makes his points very clear and stresses the really important things in his lectures. Oh, and he's a hottie!!

Dr. McLaren makes a subject that I dropped in high school my favorite in college. He is so clear on everything and tells you exactly what will be on the test. He makes the class fun and he's fun to look at!

he's an awesome professor. I am actually sad that I wont have him next semester. His class is fairly easy if you pay attention. He keeps you laughing and interested. He's sarcastic and witty, which is cool. Also, he's a very credible source with expertise in the field. Take him if you can.

Dr. McLaren ROCKS Compton Hall. He's funny and helpful and let me just say that it was the first early class I never missed one of. He's real easy on the eyes at 9 am.

If you are going to be taking Psychology he is the only professor you should take. His class is awesome and time goes by so fast. I'm not a psych major but he makes you want to learn about it even more.

I had Dr. Mclarin at 8 in the morning in the summer and he was awesome. If you have to take psyche then he is who you want.

Very good at explaining thing and also very funny and nice guy.

Not my favorite subject, not his fault it's just not my favorite thing to study. All the brain chemistry is tough, but having a professor that knows his stuff and knows how to help you understand is a plus, and that's what McLaren did.

Amazing teacher. Has sample quizzes and very clearly informs the test and quiz questions. tests and quizzes every friday but they are small and makes the class very easy and understandable. drops low test and quiz scores. he is very humorous and i definetly recommend him.

His class was not the best but not the worst. You do have to actually study hard to get good results from his class. Some days he put me to sleep and some days class was interesting. He can be a little intimidating at times, but overall he's a pretty good professor...

I feel sorry for all the people who do so poorly in his class. He practically hands you an A. Unfortunately, as he shows in his day after test results, there are lots of people doing poorly. Not only do you get an easy A, but you do also learn, and he is a very entertaining prof. Take him.

Gives examples of exactly how to do assignments. Gives feedback and is pretty lenient. He comes off with an edgy attitude but he is fair. Probably the best teacher for Experimental.

very straightforward. he tells you exactly what to study, and he even provides a ton of explanation in class. the material appears overwhelming, but he only has you learn the important topics. text is definately required.

fantastic teacher. his lectures get right to the point and he hardly ever gets off topic. he gives real life examples which he sometimes uses on tests. he posts practice quizes and tests, vocab lists, diagrams, etc. i really enjoyed his class and if you read your notes and the chapter you're garaunteed to get an A.

Great professor!! Explains psychology very well..i went to every class and got an A..its not to hard just look over the book...You have either a quiz or test every friday but he gives you sample tests and half the questions are on the test..Great class highly recommend

I had him for Psyc101. At first I thought the class was going to put me asleep. After a while I began to love his class. The tests are straight from the notes and he is very clear with lecture. Take notes and READ material. He doesn't wave tests!

I loved his class. He made it fun and interesting. Alot of the tests/quizzes are online (0nly 2 are in class) and you can use your book on the online classes. so basically his class is a breeze. take him!!!

Easiest class I've ever taken. He is very clear about what he expects of you and most of the test questions come straight from the practice questions he provides. Most of the tests and quizzes were online and he let us decide how long we want to take it (usually over a weekend. Excellent teacher and also pretty interesting.

Dr. McLaren is an awesome professor and willing to put time into helping his students whenever they need it. Although some of his courses may contain challening info (Neuroscience, Experimental, etc) he explains it clearly. I recommend anyone who is truly interested in Psychology to take at least one course with Dr. McLaren.

I loved this class! It was interesting, and tests and quizes were very easy if you read the book and studied, he let you have cheat sheets for alot of the tests but you didnt need them most of the time. Hes not out to make you fail this class.

Grant is extremely helpful, makes his information easy to understand, makes class super interesting and has a great senese of humor! His tests are easy if you copy all of his notes.

Such a sweet guy. He's got a great sense of humor and makes psychology definitions way more interesting than they are. He's got that great teacher "charm" that makes you realize that class doesn't always have to be a burden.

Extremely helpful, down-to-earth professor. He makes sure everyone understands the material before moving on. He also has a good sense of humor and likes to joke around a lot. He doesn't assign h.w. just in class assignments so as long as you show up to class, you'll do fine.

He is a very funny teacher who explains and gives very good examples. He doesn't teach a lot of the material though, you must read the book if you actually want to learn more into things and just not learn for each test. The tests and quizzes are all online and they are very easy. I recommend for Gen Psych.

He's an awesome professor with a great sense of humor. He's never monotonous. The worst thing you'd ever have to go through is the days where there are a lot of notes, but even then that's not bad. The notes are simple and easy to understand. He is kind enough to drop your lowest test/quiz score, AND give you a lot of extra credit opportunities.

He's a fun guy to have for a teacher, and his class was super easy, both because I had psych in high school and because his powerpoints are exactly what's on the test. Also, since the tests are all online it's ridiculously easy to just have your book open, haha.

One of my favorite professors. He is a super easy and go-with-the-flow kinda guy. His tests and quizzes were online. I went to class the first day, and the day I took my final and still passed the class. Pay attention and you will be fine! He doesn't have any "surprise" questions on the test. Definitely take him when you get the chance!

Psychology is, in actuality, a rather simple subject. McClaren makes sure that it is as clear as possible, even to the point of acting out what he means. He uses all the technology available to him and writes on his notes slides for better understanding. He keeps well to the calendar of lessons he gives out. Great class, although can be boring some

Neuroscience was hard, but he is an excellent instructor. Textbook is word heavy, but he helps you with that too. Make sure you read, take notes, ask questions. Very helpful and funny. No unpleasant surprises or bizarre grading. He's also cute as a button.

A great professor i took him for stast and neuroscience psyc, he was helpful and very understanding. what ever he teach it will be on the test and his test are easy to understand the question but you need to study the class note 95% of class note will be on the test the rest from the book

Grant is a great teacher and has a lot of passion for what he does. Also remember, the zip code for cape canaveral is 321 :) He tells you to buy the book and the online MyPsychLab program. do not buy the book! Just buy the MyPsychLab online and it has the book online! You'll save a lot of money.

I love Dr. Mclaren!!! He is my favorite psychology professor. If you have the opportunity to take him for any class do it without hesitation! Every class I have taken with him I received an A. If you need help with something he will help you. Tests are all multiple choice and he gives a lot of hw so if you don't do so well on the tests you can help bring your grade up. He is very laid back even thought first he may not seem that way. He makes class fun especially when he goes on little rants

Really easy class, just so so so so so so sooooo boring. I didn't touch the book once so I don't suggest getting it. He doesn't put the notes online so you have to write everything down in class but the quizzes are online and the tests are straight from the notes.

Highly recommend taking this class for any reason. He gives plenty of examples when he gives notes. Tests and quizzes go over pretty much what he goes over in class and he lets you know when the quizzes and tests are going to happen and what will be on it so take notes and you'll do fine. A good professor, but not very personable. I gave him a book to read and he didn't seem to take an interest in it. I wouldn't buy the book, most of his tests are verbatim from his notes. He kind of talks like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, very slow and with a hint of a Southern accent. He seems like a genuinely kind person and grades fairly.

Great teacher! At times, he may seem uninterested in his lessons, but the man is very passionate and knowledgeable at what he teaches. Taking notes is a must if you want to pass. He literally uses the notes to make his test and quizzes.

Everything on the test is what he said in class, almost none of it was from the book. He's a great professor who i would recommend to all of my friends.

Do not even waste your time buying the book! Everything is off his notes, I didn't buy the book and I still passed with flying colors. I personally did not like him at all, however it is a pretty easy class to follow.
