Professional Selling is easily my favorite class that I have taken at UC. Grant is awesome. He has an extremely laid-back and loose style of teaching, but I still learned more real-world lessons in this class than any class I've taken. Second best professor I've had, next to Evan Griffin. Grant shows up with so much enthusiasm and had us PRACTICE selling rather than him TALKING or LECTURING on it. He had us do roleplays and presentations, which really drilled the selling method. This class is for anyone who wants to learn applicable presentation and persuasion skills.

Great Prof. Canvas assignments are vague and feel complicated sometimes but all very easy and an easy grader no matter what.

Grant was the best professor I have ever had at UC. He made lectures fun and class go by easily. Would recommend him to any finance, sales, or marketing student.

He was an amazing professor and is one of the few to actually keep me engaged in class. While working through the material he kept things really light hearted and fun and made sure to interact with everyone as much as he could. Would 100% recommend this course and this professor!

Midterm is pretty difficult but grades are made up by extra credit or easier grades in the class. Favorite class in 3 years. Although he teaches a night class, I look forward to attending. The class said it goes from 6 to 9 but, he usually ends at 8. His midterm is hard but, his other assignments are fun and easy to get A's on. He is unconventional and his assignments are the closest thing to the real-world experience I have gotten in college.

I mean this 100% if you have the chance to take him please do. I am a fourth year and have never enjoyed a class like this. I normally get really bored about 30 minutes into any class and just wait to go home, but when I took his course I never got on my laptop or phone because he really was that interesting. This is one of the best professors that I have had at UC. There is multiple extra credit opportunities, always lets out of class early. The class is very interactive and not lecture heavy. He had amazing and collaborative games/talks to connect students throughout the semester. Although there's no grading scheme to most of his assignments, he gave his grade lenient. At the end of the semester, students were required to do an 1 on 1 sales call and this was the best practical exam I ever had.

Great Professor. He emphasizes that grades aren't as big of a concern, he cares about if you're understanding the material and utilizing the tools taught to complete the assignment. Down to earth and is easy to communicate with, in and outside of class.

I learned more in this class than any other I have taken at UC and he truly cares about his students. He is a great, funny, and inspiring guy. Never hesitate to reach out to him!

This was by far my favorite class so far. Professor Shouldice is a great teacher. He made me learn and retain the information, not just regurgitate it. His unique and fun teaching style will make you want to go to class each week.

Professional Shouldice is an awesome professor. For a 6 pm class, his class was very interactive. He is super chill and very flexible when it comes to assignments as long as you do them. I would 100% recommend his class.

He is an easy grader, but he doesn't care about grades. He believes his job is to give students knowledge they can use after college. His words are very credible because he is a professional salesman.

Taking his MKTG7016 course on Saturdays (9-5), I assumed that I would be consistently distracted with numerous other things considering the length of the course; however, this was NOT the case. If you want a passionate professor who loves what he does, take his courses. He is a well of knowledge, which coincides with his comedic vibe. 11/10!!!

Dr. Shouldice was a fantastic professor, very relaxed style. Saturday sessions fly by. Not a lecture-heavy class, and the role play scenarios are very useful practice. Not just for those in traditional sales, but also for other business/managerial/engineering functions that need to promote ideas/projects. He has a wealth of experience, just ask.

He is an enabler who genuinely cares about students getting value from the class. I personally enjoyed learning from my peers. There are plenty of role-plays on different cases, which make the learning experience engaging and fun. You can see real progress in just three classes!

Students should be unafraid to ask questions/engage in discussions. Professor wants time together to be valuable. Grateful to have taken this class in-person (3 Saturdays, 9am-5pm) on campus. Enjoyed the case studies/role-plays; although simulations, the challenge of preparing/executing, practicing speaking skills in a business setting was useful.

Dr. G is a great professor who cares a lot about his students learning. He is well respected and helps you think for yourself. As a student you will take what you learned and be able to apply it right away.

Professor Grant is an outstanding educator who presents complex topics in a clear, engaging, and structured manner, making learning both effective and enjoyable. His enthusiasm, real-world examples, and interactive teaching style create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and student participation.

Grant is a great professor, I had his course professional selling on Wednesday evenings. While I wish I could have attended more in person lectures I was unable to due to my work schedule but luckily Grant live streams every class and uploads the recordings to canvas. He is very understanding and is a great instructor, I reccommend his course!

Grant is an absolute goat of a professor. He really cares for his students and wants them to be very successful in life. It's not a typical boring lecture every week, you participate and are always engaged every week. Take this class you will have a lot of fun. You also gamble a lot which is so much fun to do.

Great professor, I actually thought about a career in sales because of the people he brought in and his own passion for the subject. Very easy going and I feel like this was actually a college class where we could control our learning. Almost no notes amazing! Attendance not required

Grant is a great professor who dearly cares about his students and treats them as respected adults. He loves the art of selling, and I may never have someone who teaches in his style (in a good way). When coming to class, just be prepared to talk because by the end of the semester, everyone will, and you will have a fun semester.

Prof Shouldice makes a 3 hour night class bearable and that says a lot. He is super engaging and keeps the class relaxed and laid back so everyone feels comfortable talking. I had no interest in sales before taking the class but now I want to look into it! Would recommend for sure.

In my point of view, the best class I have taken so far... I learned a lot about selling in general, and even though I will probably not pursue a career in selling, he gave us tools and frameworks that you could apply to any profession or business segment. I had confident selling Wednesday night from 6:00 - 9:00 and thought it was going to be a bad class, but this ended up being my favorite and the most applicable class I've taken so far through my college career. He is a great teacher and pushes you outside of your comfort zone in the best way. He cares about his students learning more than grades.
