Anderson thinks his '24-hour' take-home midterm and final are the greatest invention ever. If you have papers due in other classes, or, say, six straight hours of class the day the paper is due, then you are at a serious disadvantage compared to everyone else. Be forewarned.

Greg is such a chill dude. Laid back class, only thing I didn't like was the final being 45% of the grade and only 800 word short essay. He did go over international theory A LOT, but I didn't mind because he kept it interesting. Attendance not mandatory, however I would recommend just because I love to listen to Greg talk. epic class

Great prof, very knowledgeable on politics as a whole and talks about current events to keep things interesting. Lectures aren't all that useful though, as long as you can write a good paper you'll be fine

Dr. Anderson is a great professor. Hands down, one of the best in the POL S department. His lectures are very interesting and he isn't afraid to go off script and let the class dictate where the lecture is going. In the end, you still end up learning the same information. Even further, Dr. Anderson's disdain for bureaucracy is always enjoyable!

The homework is just reading a bunch of "short" books that you'll need to be somewhat aware of for the midterm and final papers (which are done online at home btw). You don't really have to go to class but he seems very passionate about this stuff so it can be fun. Overall pretty easy grade if you just take the time do get work done.

Hands down one of the best prof in the department. If not the absolute best. Take any class you can with him.

Highly recommend taking 101 with Anderson for an easy pass. There's lots of readings which you'll need for the exams, but his lectures are light and easily skippable. It's only graded out of the at home open book exams (1000 word essays with 3 days to write) and one paper, and he's a bit of a tough marker. Hard to pin his personal politics lol

Quite literally the best professor I have ever had. Very straightforward course graded on two exam papers and one written assignment. Absolutely the best lectures I have ever been in, which are very informative and engaging. Only assigned reading is a book series that are relatively short and full reading isn't required to do very well in the class

Terrible. 20 minutes of the 50 minute alloted time is wasted on absolute speculation and current news. Can barely learn anything. Thank God this class is almost done.

The class structure is super disorganized, but the lectures are very interesting and informative. The midterm and final are super difficult, but he's a great marker. One of my fave polisci profs.

Dr. Anderson is a great lecturer, but he did not cover all of the material on canvas, spent a lot of time just speculating about current events and frequently revisited topics. I found his class hard to follow and VERY reading-heavy. I am not interested in economics, so that definitely impacts how I feel, but his class felt disorganized to me.

Greg was a good professor. The only gripe I have is that we spent about half of every 50 minute class covering current events not necessarily related to course content, so we only got to week 7 material by the end of the course. Aside from that he is extremely knowledgeable, kind, accessible, well-spoken, and a fair marker.
