Been in other programs at other colleges and Greg is the best yet. I never wanted to miss a class and usually do. Not easy but fair and I learned lots.

Stop the whining! So we had to work for the credit but this is the ONLY class I learned anything in. He was trying to prepare us for the real world and if you did the work you would understand. He sets the bar high but helps you get there. Don't bother with bs cause he'll see through it.

Can't beat the lessons best so far but not easy. Complainers want easy credit but too late should have showed up to class. He is there to help a lot but you gotta work for it.

Go to class, try hard, pass. It's that simple. Greg is always available to help if you try. Would have failed without his extra effort but he gave me boost I needed when he knew I was trying hard.

Greg was the only instructor I had who was consistent and clear with expectations. Not an easy grader but this isn't what I was looking for...I was actually looking to learn and I did. This isn't high school anymore.

Needed the extra help to pass and Greg was good to give it. NOT an easy mark but great teacher.

He really gets everyone involved in the class. I hated that we had to do mock lectures but after doing them I can see they are really going to be helpful. You'll learn some good things. Very caring person who gets students.

Fantastic teacher. Greg puts effort on preparing and delivering classes. You can tell he cares about the success of his students. He usually takes the full time assigned to classes to really teach and explain the concepts of the course and he makes it in a very funny way, keeping you interested. Going class and paying attention is worth the time.

Greg is a hilarious teacher, I always enjoy going to his class as he is a very engaging & soo funny.

Best teacher I have had at NAIT. He has hilarious lectures and i actually want to show up for it. HE cares about his students passing the course and gives a lot of resources online. He is so personable and gets the class to actively want to participate.

Greg is an awesome Prof. He makes the class super enjoyable. Very easy marker but it's important you show up or you'll miss graded assignments that are usually done in class, also he really cares about his students and takes the time to learn everyone's name and actually talks to you outside of class or says hi. None of my other teachers do that

Really enjoyed this class. Two other diplomas and this is the best instructor I have had yet.

Despite the tremendous amount of work required, Greg made the class super enjoyable. He was funny, personable, and got everyone participating. He was kind of inconsistent with marking/rubrics and biased to certain students. Regardless, I would definitely take another class with him. Participation is important and makes the class a lot more fun.

Greg was the best professor I've had. I took the course over the spring so we only had a six week timeline. Given the short amount of time, he did an excellent job teaching a lot of material in a way that kept the pressure off. He is great for giving extensions on assignments under appropriate circumstances. He always says hello outside of class.

I'm certain Greg tried to be a stand up comedian before teaching. He never fails to brighten a room as he walks in. Currently I do not have Greg as a professor, but whenever I see him I'm always sure to shout hi.

Amazing teacher. If you get a chance to have him in as your teacher, DO IT. Greg is a wonderful soul and very funny.

Greg was a fantastic teacher that made lectures enjoyable, which made you want to attend classes regularly and gave helpful suggestions when you made inquiries about your work/assignments. To be frank, I don't know why so many students complain about his grading because your mark is a direct representation of the effort you put in.

Evening classes can be a drag, but if you have a good teacher, time flies. I really enjoyed the evening class, best instructor hands down in my books. Takes into consideration students and their concerns, he is not their to read from a slide but to sort of guide you into becoming a better critical thinker.

He is the man. Connects to his students and it is obvious he cares about them. Gives good feedback. If you listen to what he says and take it into consideration, you will do well. He is hilarious too. He likes to make jokes about his students but not in an offensive way at all, so don't be sensitive and make some jokes back. Really great guy.

Greg is such a great professor, he is the reason why i wanted to go into marketing he made it super fun and interesting. He provides great examples, and is super funny. Just such an awesome human in general. I'm hoping i get him again next semester.

I found Greg to be very helpful and accessible outside if class but ONLY IF YOU COME TO CLASS AND PUT IN YOUR OWN EFFORT! Man, I dont know how he so politely tolerates students who think they can skip class and then try and get what they missed after with no respect for his time. Stop complaining. He is a class act and definitely worth taking.

Greg was my favourite professor this semester. Attendance was important, as we did a lot of class discussions and in-class assignments, but was honestly a very easy grade so long as you participated. He did tend to fall behind in marking assignments, but that is the only bad thing I can say about him. A great guy and gives really helpful feedback.

I felt excited to come to class every time. Greg is a incredibly caring teacher, and wants to help you to succeed. The course curriculum did feel a bit scrambled and disorganized, and there were few things that were graded. Greg is super open about deadlines, and the final paper and presentation was determined by the class.

Personally had a great experience with Greg. He always replied to my emails and was always willing to help with assignments. I will agree he was all over the place when it came to assignments being moved and marked in a timely matter. But he moved assignments to accommodate us better so we weren't as stressed all the time. I know a lot of people in the COMM3321 evening class on Tuesdays in the Fall 2017 semester felt he was too disorganized, but I didn't have a problem with Greg. I found that the discussions we had we really interesting and engaging and I actually looked forward to class (so rare). He did take a long time to grade, but he had two classes to teach...

You can say what you want but any appearance of being disorganized is a great instructor trying to be responsive to needs of individuals in class instead of taking canned approach like other instructors. Better to change things around to fit us than expect us to fit a mold. Hes a true top teacher.

Very student focused so when changes are made to assignments or grading they are done with our best interest. Doesnt take a cookie cutter approach which is good because you can see how we are so different. Makes me want to consider teaching someday.

If you are somebody who lacks public speaking skills, I recommend him in a heart beat. He taught me more than just the required content. BEST PROF EVER!

One of the best teachers. Definitely participate, and don't be afraid to have a conversation. Is a great listener, and is willing to take extra time to help you understand where you could improve. BUT be on time for class! You have 10 minutes to hand something in, and he will NOT except anything late!

Best teacher to take a course from so far. I learned so much and it will make a difference in other courses I take. I heard other teachers arent as good though so glad I got him.

Greg is a the man, everytime i see him outside of class we chat and in class he explains his material in a very easy and interactive way, never be scared to ask questions. if you follow his rubric youll get a good mark although sometimes hes a little tough. overall i recommend him out of my 2 years at nait he was the only class i wouldnt skip.

Was an awesome course. He gives good feedback and marks your work promptly, you get a chance to do a practice assignment (for participation marks) before the real one for marks. The rubrics are super easy to follow and easy to do good. You have to show up though because there are sometimes assignments for credit.

Greg is one of my favourite teachers. He is fair, clear, concise, and gives wonderful feedback. He was able to give grades back in good time. I do not think that all of the students understood his humour, so may have taken offence, but they need to chill. He's the man! I will seek him out throughout my entire degree and choose his class every time.

Hes a great teacher and a great guy! Always there to help you and will give good feeback. Truly cares about all of his students and wants them to succeed. Class participation is encouraged as you will only hear about assignments if youre in class.

Greg is a great teacher but is quite slow at responding to emails. This class requires a big literature review paper that, but Greg was really willing to help everyone and provide feedback before submission. Sometimes his grading criteria aren't always the clearest. He is hilarious and makes people think critically, hence the course title.

Greg is willing to give you feedback on your papers before you submit them, but you must submit them more than a week in advance to get it back on time. His feedback for major assignments is quick, but the smaller assignments are not as fast. Some of the grading criteria is unclear, but the simplest explanation is usually right.

Greg was by far one of the best profs Iv had at nait so far. His feedback is helpful, always open to quick emails & questions. He opened his personal line up for students to call him directly. As far as grading, you do have to ask direct questions to understand the criteria - its a writing based course, remember your audience, poc liberal

Greg encourages participation in your learning experience. The classes are very engaging as he makes an effort to get everyone talking. It is a 3rd year critical thinking course and the expectation is that you will take charge and ask questions. He is always happy to answer mine and my grades have been great. I want to take all his classes!

Greg definitely makes you work for your grade - lots of effort needs to be put in. However, he is an awesome prof and gets students engaged. Hilarious, fun classes

Greg is my favorite instructor by far! Our class nominated him for "instructor of the year" award. He's inspiring, funny, and challenges you to think & write critically. He's a bit of a tough grader, I've never worked so hard for an A-, but it made me a better writer. If you do the work you'll pass, no problem.

Greg is an amazing instructor and even better person! Does mark heavily but in good nature to help you succeed and be better! Makes every class enjoyable about personal experiences and relates outside concepts into the class! By far, my favorite instructor at NAIT, and I hope to have him for future courses upon studying for my degree!

Second time taking this instructor and really like him. He is flexible which some may see as disorganized when dates are moved but he does it to help us and meet our different needs. Thank you Greg!

I really like Greg. He went out of his way to support me and he didnt make it easier but just gave me to support I needed to get a good grade. I had to work for it but he was there for help.

Don't take this class to expect an easy grade but take it to learn. You'll have to work for it but this is my second time with this instructor and it is good because I know I am going to get a good grade if I try hard. He changed assignments and deadlines but it is to help us.

Greg is the most, caring and funny teacher I have ever had! All classes are online, so there is an expectation to attend and he will make things due at the end of class, but you get more than enough time to finish the assignment. But if you skip often, or forget due dates, Greg may not be for you.

Comparing other options for COMM3321 instructors, Greg is the best bet. He is very kind. He is a bit unorganized, but I've experienced worse in this regard. This is a difficult course regardless of the instructor, and requires a lot of work. He does take a while to respond to e-mails so an asynchronous class with Greg might be challenging

Class with Greg has made this term beyond enjoyable. He makes everyone laugh every class. He teaches the important things in lectures so don't skip them. He is beyond caring and gives decent feedback. Highly recommend. All around great guy. A lot of in-class assignments worth marks as well, which leaves very little homework.

Great instructor but if you are looking to skip class and learn nothing then don't take this class. I learned more in this class than any other I have taken. Would definitely take again. Classes were always worth getting out of bed for.

So it seems like there are two kinds of instructors at NAIT. The type that doesnt care about what students learn and just give easy grades. Then there are the type that care and want students to really learn and push them to do it. Greg is this type that truly cares about his students and wants them to learn. This is refreshing!!!

GAVE LOTS OF WORK BUT THE INSTRUCTION WAS CLEAR AND SO MADE WORK EASY. WAS QUICK TO GET BACK TO EMAIL EVEN ON WEEKENDS SO MOT SURE WHAT PROBLEM OTHERS HAD BUT DO KNOW IF TRY YOUR BEST HES GOT YOUR BACK.

The awful instructor doesn't give proper feedback, Doesn't even reply to e-mails on time, Wastes time on unnecessary things, and Changes stuff at the last minute. Not recommend for the course.

He gives feedback to every assignment and tries to help his students to get improved while some instructors just give grades only. The course itself is heavy with writing, but he manages to change some due dates when requested early. If you want to learn, take his course and particiate all the time. It may be tiring but worth afterall.

Greg is a great out of the 3 years of comm, This has been my best experience and highest mark. Greg pushed me to do better with my writing and the discussion in class made me want to participate. Students who fail this class just don't do the work or aren't ready to write at a third-year level. the bad reviews are just from salty students.

He understands if you have to skip a class, but he could give out additional requirements for assignments verbally. He is very expressive and hilarious, making communication class interactive and fun. He is approachable but you as a student is expected to reach him a few days or a week ahead of time if through email to avoid time crunching.

Greg's class is one of my favorites! It was challenging and yes, it was difficult. But if you do all the readings, participate in class and do the assignments, you'll be more than ok. He's available for any help and provides great feedback. Negative reviews about late assignments are so confusing- who's letting you submit late assignments??

Greg is the best prof I have ever had! I do NOT understand the negative reviews. Greg does not like when students make baseless excuses and do not try. If you put in the effort, try your best and ask for help if you need it, Greg will ALWAYS be there, and you will get a good grade!

Greg was an amazing teacher for COMM2202 this year. I don't understand the negative reviews... are you people dumb? Greg literally made this course so easy I cannot fathom how anybody got less than a B+. Maybe if you didn't tweak so much during class and actually tried, you wouldn't be so disappointed. Greg is not the reason you are a tweaker.

Greg remains my best instructor so far at NAIT. He is approachable,always willing to help if only you'll ask. He has zero tolerance for laziness and unruly acts.Tough grader-follow the rubric. His classes were interesting and well delivered. I will like to take his class again and I do recommend his class if you are willing to put in the work.

If you want an easy A from a prof who arbitrarily slaps marks on papers, avoid Greg. If you actually want a proper learning experience and to leave the class a better writer than before you entered, take Greg. Very approachable and easy to back and forth ideas with even in an asynchronous setting. Put effort in and your grade will reflect that.
